  Designer Hall of Fame 1
An introduction to the Designers who have made the EuroDirect fleet possible...

The following designers have very kindly allowed the EuroDirect fleet to become a reality. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to them for making Flight Simulation what it is and we are honoured by their presence on our web pages...

Click on the images to go to the designer's web site.

In no particular order:

Bill Alderson

Freeflight Design ShopBill Alderson is the President of Cyber Air and the founder of the Free Flight Design Shop. The FFDS have probably brought many thousands of aircraft to the internet as designers download, modify, repaint and upload variations on the FFDS originals. The FFDS site is a must visit for anyone interested in flight simulator aircraft. Bill has so far been responsible for the new ATR72 and MD-83 and several of the aircrafts that formed the initial EuroDirect fleet. More of Bill's aircraft will be flying for EuroDirect soon. Thank you Bill, where would EuroDirect and the flight simulator community as a whole, be without you?

Camil Valiquette

CamSim AviationCamil Valiquette is one of the most well known free flight sim aircraft designers of all. His designs are mainly centered around the big aircrafts from Airbus and Boeing and it is, of course, the A330 and A340 that we employ in our fleet. Camil's aircraft are always in a constant evolution as he brings more and more detail to the aircrafts and releases them to us in an ever increasing variety of liveries. We are very proud to have Camil's support in our project. Thank you Camil, for your kind permission and magnificent 'Big Birds'.

Sami Puro

Flight Simulator FinlandSami Puro, the designer of EuroDirect's new Airbus A320 and A321 has designed a great many aircrafts of excellent quality. There can also be found at Flight Simulator Finland more panels, sounds, sceneries and other free flight sim downloads than I have ever been able to count or look at, including an excellent utilities section containing such essentials as Real Weather 5.xx and GPSW98. Sami's excellent work for the flight sim community must be congratulated. His aircrafts have always been outstanding and we are delighted to have his latest A320 and A321 on our fleet. We are even now waiting in hope that Sami find time to release an update for a certain aircraft and allow us to incorporate that also into our fleet... Our thanks for your permission and great assistance Sami! That delivery from Toulouse was extremely timely...

Jim Youngken

Rogue AirJim Youngken's excellent rework of the Bill Alderson original ATR72 first caught my attention in the last days of 1999. Jim is actually one of our 'rivals', being the founder of Rogue Air, a VA based in the USA. If Jim's work on the ATR72 is anything to judge by, Rogue Air is surely worth a visit. Hopefully there will be future projects in which EuroDirect may benefit from Jim's skills. We will certainly try to return the favour! Our thanks for all of your help Jim, we look forward to further business with your airline in the future!

Helge Bast

Helge Bast is one of the great talents of the flight simulator community. Helge's art (and it is art) adorns many of the best aircrafts available, including several of those on Barry Blaisdell's homepage. I had just finished working on the new EuroDirect ATR72 and was fairly pleased with the result. Then disaster struck!. On Jim Youngken's advice I downloaded Helge's ATR: I was amazed... Subsequently I decided to delete my own ATR textures and start again (after I contacting Helge and asking for some help)! Unfortunately for us mere mortals, there is no Helge Bast home page. For aircrafts painted by Helge please go to Flightsim.com and search using "Helge Bast" in the 'search for text' field.
