In the OVAs Ryouko is 5,000-year-old demon and wanted criminal resurrected by Tenchi. In the TV series she is a space pirate who crashed on Earth when being chased by the Galaxy Police.
In both she has some interesting abilities which include capability of flight, teleportation and use of energy weapons which can be created with her hands. Her present residence is at the Tenchi house hold. She can be loud, brash and can do some savory things; she is deeply in love with Tenchi. She will risk her life for him and fight for him no matter what other woman may try to get in her way.
