Ayeka is outwardly the opposite of Ryouko. She is the Crown Princess of Jurai and carries herself with dignity and a genteel manner. On the occasion she shows a darker, more severe side, and has a strong will. The reason for the age difference is that the first one is the OVA series; plus another 700 year in suspended animation aboard her ship, searching for her half-brother and betrothed husband-to-be, Yosho. The second on indicates her age in the TV series which match Ryouko age since in a flashback they were children and naturally, still fighting with each other. Her present residence is at the Tenchi House hold after her spaceship is destroyed. She is also in love with Tenchi and forever series fight Ryouko over his affection. Her main part of combat come from her bodyguards Azaka & Kamidake which look like large floating logs and there present location the gatepost outside Tenchi's house.
Here something you may not know in the Tenchi novel the reason why her hair is purple was not that she was born with it but her genetic code was manipulated at the age of 4 to change it to purple, the same as her father. That what a manga I read said don't know is it the same in the TV series.
