Through the lineages the custodians of this art has improved the art further , making it more dynamic while keeping the concept of its original teachings. One only has to look at the school motto, which has been handed down since the inception of the art and has been taught to each student in every generation :

A new practitioner starting in this art will learn “Respect” and will train “To be a good person” and lastly “Kung Fu”.

The Chinese Kung Fu A cademy offers a 4 week Introductory Course to people who wish to find out more about our style (2 sessions x 1.5 hrs weekly training over a calendar month). During this period the new practitioner will be expose d to the basic concepts of the art including – relaxation, generation of power, the first 10 movements of the first form and the fighting concepts of a minimum of 5 single hand techniques and 3 fighting combinations . After this period the practitioner may apply to join the school proper. Member ship will be by invitation.

The weapons in the Tong Long system includes – long stick / staff, walking stick, tridents, butterfly knifes, broadsword and the tong long sword.

The new practitioner will be introduced to the Tong Long System gradually. Each level will present a new challenge to the practitioner – there are new concepts to learn, and new energy to acquire.

Upon reaching and awarded his/her discipleship, the practitioner will be presented with greater challenges, one of such challenge is the concept of “Qi” or “Qi Gung” and its applications.

Reaching Master level is a great personal achievement for a practitioner, at this level there are greater challenges for the practitioner, not only in his/her own training, but also as a leader, coach and as a fatherly figure to motivate, teach and guide his/her students not only to be a good fighter but also to be a good person.

To sum this up - to be a successful Tong Long practitioner the qualities that he/she must have are Humbleness, Dedication and Be a Good Person, which would make a different in your life and along the way achieve something for yourself.
