
Grand Master Henry Sue is the 6th Generation Custodian (9 th Degree Gold Belt) and is responsible for bringing Southern Preying mantis (Dong Gong Chow Gar Tong Long) to Australia . In 1962 this style was taught at the Chinese Club in Brisbane, Queensland. At the time only students of Chinese origin were accepted.
In 1976 the Chinese Kung Fu Academy (CKFA) was established to protect, develop and expand the style. In 2001 our school established its national headquarters in the old Triumph Picture Theatre, a renowned historical icon in Brisbane, Australia . In 2002 the Australian National Headquarters for Dong Gong Chow Gar Tong Long Kung Fu in Brisbane was opened.
Our school also has a direct link with the Southern Shaolin Temple in Fukien . As a formal sign of recognition and reunion with the Shaolin temple, CKFA Grand Master Henry Sue was formally appointed by the Chief Abbot as the official representative of the Shaolin temple in Australia (March 2002).
