A Short History of Brutland's Highly Subsidized Pharming Disasters.
Pharmers have created Six National, and Two Global, Disasters in Fifteen Years.
Over
the last fifteen years brutland's pharming industry has triggered off
6 major national disasters and two global disasters. And yet, after each
disaster, the pharmer dominated government steps in to financially rescue
the Animal slavery industry and restore pharmers to their life of subsidized
terrorism whilst leaving pharmers' victims to die, to suffer, or pick
up the costs. 1970s-1980s Bse
The pharming industry's
dirty, cannibalistic, practices were responsible for generating and spreading
bse. 1983 Salmonella in Eggs.
Edwina currie was sacked
for exposing the salmonella in eggs scandal. 1990s Bse-Cjd.
The pharming industry is
responsible for murdering many bse-cjd victims because the country's pharmers
refused to believe that oomans could contract such a disease. Consequently,
they refused to take safety measures seriously. 1996 20 die from E-coli Food Poisoning.
2000 The Autumn 2000 Floods
Pharmers have deforested
virtually the entire country, they have cut down Hedges, installed drainage
systems across the countryside, and adopted prairie pharming methods so why
is it surprising that they have been triggering off so many floods? 2001 The Foot and Mouth Epidemic.
The foot and mouth epidemic
was caused by the criminal activities of pharmers who made one and a half million
illegal transports of Animals on bed and breakfast jaunts to boost their fraud
of the european community's welfare benefit payments. The Diseased Carcass of the Brutish Political System caused these Disasters.
The cause of these six national
pharming disasters is brutland's corrupt political system. Parliament is dominated
by the country's landowning pharming elite which puts its interests first and
last and let's everyone else suffer the consequences. This is also why this
industry is currently receiving £6 billion a year in subsidies whilst other
industries are lucky to receive a mere 1% of this amount. Whilst the pharming
industry gets billions, other industries receive only millions. It's not an
accident that bse and bse-cjd originated in brutland and that the foot and mouth
disease broke out in this country rather than anywhere else in europe. Even
though european countries are far closer to the original source of the foot
and mouth disease, the disease leapt over other countries to infect brutland's
slave Animals. How is it that countries closer to the origins of the disease
managed to avoid being infected whilst brutland gets the disease? The reason
this country is so vulnerable to diseases is because parliament is full of pharmers
who refuse to implement even the most basic health and hygiene practices in
the pharming industry because it would reduce their profits. Many brutish people are
frightened and appalled at the gun culture of american society where tens of
thousands of people are murdered every year. But america, and doubtlessly the
rest of the world, looks at brutland's pharmer dominated parliament and its
roast bseef Cattle culture and is sickened by the self-induced outbreaks of
epidemics which result in the slaughter of millions of slave Animals e.g. the
salmonella in eggs, bse, foot and mouth epidemics, etc, and the murder of hundreds
of people from food poisoning, the e-coli outbreak, and bse-cjd disease. The
number of deaths from bse-cjd are beginning to rise and huge numbers are likely
to die. In many ways brutland is far more barbaric than america. Pastureland, Pastureland, Pastureland - and nowhere for Wildlife.
Over 50% of brutland is
used as pastureland. The belief that brutland is a green and pleasant
land' is a political delusion induced by propaganda from the country's landowning,
pharming elite.[195] Croplands around the country - many of which are grown to feed
slave Animals - are all planted, fertilised, protected, managed, harvested,
stored, and marketed, with the aid of vast quantities of fossil fuels. Economists
rightly used to jest that .. "land is just a way converting petroleum energy
into food."[196]
Cropland and pastureland are both just green oil slicks.[197]
The Plants/Crops/Grasses produced from crude oil aren't much different from
plastic plates or shopping bags.[198] As a consequence the countryside's green
beauty has an astro-turf nature which, unfortunately, disguises the wholesale
devastation of the Earth's life sustaining processes in this country. There
is nothing natural about the brutish countryside - its basically one big lawn
being mowed by slave Animals. Thankfully, the autumn 2000 floods exposed, in
a much more vivid way than government statistics, the sham of the country's
belief in its rich and luxuriant Biodiversity. It's just as ridiculous to talk
about the country's green and pleasant countryside' as it to talk about
the country's green and pleasant motorways'. Most of brutland's national
parks are just collections of pastureland. Large areas of the country are also
grazed to provide hunting opportunities, "The moneyed classes' enthusiasm for
deer stalking is keeping vast tracts of scotland as an artificial, empty environment
and preventing its productive use by ordinary people. Hayden lorimer, from loughborough
university said, "Crofters had been cleared off by enclosures, and were replaced
by huge Sheep farms. Deer stalking was only introduced in the 19thc after the
Sheep farms went bankrupt. Landowners argued that the estates preserved scotland's
natural heritage. Mr lorimer said that to prevent criticism of their occupation
of large estates kept empty just for Deer, the "lairdocracy" managed to propagate
a myth of their history and legitimacy."[199] The green movement supports these lawns posing as natural areas.
Pharmers' Delusions of Grandeur: Only Pharmers know how to Look After the
Countryside.
One of the commonest images
of the brutish countryside is contented looking slave Animals calmly grazing
in lush, green pastures which sprawl over rolling hillsides. To most people
in brutland, and many abroad, this is THE image of nature, the epitome of a
sustainable way of life. What could be more natural than Cows grazing in fields?
It's almost as if the aesthetic pleasure of such a scene is proof of the legitimacy
of this natural order. What could be greener than the Animal slavery industry
- even greens themselves, who should know better, accept this vision of a green
society. This image has enabled pharm products especially milk, butter and cheese,
to be marketed as a natural product (even though the production of milk requires
dairy Cows to be artificially inseminated throughout their lives to ensure constant
lactation). The Animal slavery industry's advertising campaigns need only add
some gloss to this basic image to ensure the successful sale of their products.
The Animal slavery industry has been highly successful in covering up its hideous
realities by presenting itself as an industry rooted in nature and of pharmers
living in harmony with nature who are custodians of the countryside'.
The reason for the prevalence
of this image is that the media's favouritism towards the pharming industry.
It refuses to interview non-carnivores or makes them out to be weird, wacky,
and/or terrorists. Similar images are common in each country around the world
and give rise to similar beliefs - only pharmers can be entrusted with stewardship
over the countryside whilst environmentalists/Animal rightists are portrayed
as terrorists. Dirty Pharming Practices.
The consequence of so many
members of parliament being pharmers is that they protect their interests against
consumers, scientists, Animal rightists, and the Earth. They allow the livestock
industry to adapt the cheapest practices which makes the eruption and spread
of diseases inevitable. Brutland Started Feeding Animals with Waste Products.
It is believed that brutland
was the first country in the world to start using waste from slave Animals to
produce feed for other slave Animals, "There is the suspicion that it was
the UK that initiated the practice of feeding animals with their own products."[200] .. "the practice of turning cows into
cannibals. Many of us were unaware that, as farmers now tell us, they have been
doing it for more than a hundred years."[201] Brutland's Pharmers are Still Feeding their Livestock with Sewage.
Chicken manure is still
being used to produce feed for slave Animals. Brutland Still Spraying Raw Sewage on the Land and Crops.
In february 1998, the public
health l service warned, "The dumping of untreated human sewage and abattoir
waste on britain's farmland poses a serious threat to health, experts warn.
.. the public health laboratory service (phls) warns that such practices put
people at risk from escerichia coli
0157 infection. Phls scientists (say that) the deadly food poisoning bacterium
and viruses such as hepatitis A are present in effluent used to fertilize fields
housing livestock or growing vegetables. In the hope that most of the bacteria
will die off, the sewage is allowed to stand for up to three months before being
used as agricultural fertiliser. But pennington notes that no one knows how
long the bacteria remain infective. The chartered institute of environmental
health is now demanding a ban on the use of untreated abattoir waste on farms."[202] In august 1998 it was stated, "In europe
and north america, between one and two-thirds of sludge - the biosolids from
sewers - is now spread on farmland. In the u.s, france, germany and elsewhere,
all sludge is treated before being used as fertiliser. It undergoes various
forms of heating, drying, fermentation or other treatments that kill germs -
to varying degrees - and make sludge more chemically stable. Britain alone allows
farmers to put raw sewage on their land, though pressure from food retailers
is likely to put a stop to this by 2002. About a quarter of all sewage sludge
spread on british farmland this year was raw .. The water companies .. say farmers
must wait three weeks before harvesting fodder or letting animals graze on sludged
land, and ten months before harvesting crops that touch the soil and are normally
eaten raw' - strawberries for example. If the food industry won't buy crops
fertilised with raw sludge, farmers won't use sludge. And many water companies
are counting on farmers as other disposal routes start to close down. A report
on sewage by britain's royal commission on environmental pollution in 1996,
and the commons enquiry this year, both .. called for all sludge used in agriculture
to be pasteurized, which involves heating at 70C for an hour. Sewage is a valuable
resource. Oecd citizens excrete enough to replace 8% of their current consumption
of chemical fertiliser - which is made using fossil fuel. Only by keeping faeces
separate from the rest of our waste can we realize its full potential."[203] As an example of how deadly the spraying of manure or mixed/organic
pharming can be it has been pointed out that, "In 1981, in canada, there was
an outbreak of listeriosis monocytogenes in which 41 people died. The infection
was traced back to cabbage grown on a nearby farm, "There they discovered that
the cabbages had been grown on a field which had previously been grazed by sheep
and had, therefore, been richly fertilized by sheep droppings."[204] Brutland Still Recycling Bse-Infected Cattle Blood as Cattle Feed.
After a decade of the bse
epidemic, the pharmers in parliament are still allowing their industry to increase
its profits by recycling bse-infected Cattle blood as feed for other Cattle.
These mps are committing acts of mass murder. Diseases Rampant amongst Brutland's Slave Animals.
Salmonella.
In 1988, thatcher sacked
edwina curry for telling the truth about the spread of salmonella in Chicken
eggs. After her sacking, "Hundreds of vets were dispatched into the countryside
to take samples and conduct tests. Entire flocks (of chickens) found to be heavily
contaminated were slaughtered in their hundreds, and millions of pounds were
paid out in compensation to the producers."[205] Most
egg production is still riddled with this disease. Scrapie.
It is quite incredible but
brutland has had scrapie for the last 200 years whilst other countries have
managed to get rid of the disease or prevent it from afflicting their herds,
"Scrapie has been eliminated completely from german and new zealand Sheep."[206];
"Australia and new zealand are entirely free from scrapie .. because of
stringent intervention by the authorities."[207] If it
is true that bse derived from scrapie this makes the bse and bse-cjd epidemics
even more tragic given that scrapie is a disease which brutish pharmers could
have eradicated but never bothered to do so. Scrapie is a disease which, over
the last couple of centuries, the landowning pharming elite have decided that
the public can live with and die from. The maffia has never bothered
to ascertain the scale of scrapie in brutland. It wasn't known how prevalent
scrapie was in this country at the time of the bse epidemic, "Surprisingly,
the actual prevalence of scrapie is not known in this country - itself a sad
indictment of the investment into veterinary research and surveillance."[208]
It only became a notifiable disease in the late 1990s, "One of the most lax
approaches (to scrapie) has been adopted by the u.k. where, until very recently
the disease was not notifiable (meaning that cases did not need to be seen and
reported by a veterinary surgeon)."[209] The prevalence of scrapie
in this country is probably greater than in any other country, "There was probably
over the same period an increasing incidence of scrapie in the sheep population.
Now, that is somewhat anecdotal. The disease was not notifiable at that time,
but as you may know, making it notifiable had the effect of making it almost
disappear, in other words, the reporting figures have gone right down, but a
bit of information which suggests that scrapie was, in fact, very commonplace
in the U.K. was that when we were gathering brains, sheep brains for the rendering
experiments, the Minister of Agriculture put an advertisement in the Veterinary
Record in the U.K. that they would pay 10 pounds per head for scrapie-affected
sheep. We needed almost 3,000 heads for these experiments or 3,000 brains, and
while I am not exactly sure of the time scale, there was absolutely no problem
in getting these over what I guess was a time scale of six to nine months. So
I think that gives some flavour of the probably incidence of scrapie in the
U.K."[210] Bse and Bse-Cjd.
The brutish pharming industry
is the creator of three new diseases; feline spongiform Encephalopathy (fse),
bovine spongiform Encephalopathy (bse), and ooman spongiform Encephalopathy
(bse-cjd). There are few countries which can boast about the creation of a new
lethal brain disease but to create three within a matter of years shows the
domination of the land owning pharming elite and the malignancy of successive
tory governments. Erecting a Cordon Sanitaire around Brutish Zombies.
Switzerland, america, australia,
canada, and new zealand, have all banned blood transfusions from brutish zombies
because of the fear they'll spread the disease, "Meanwhile, the swiss red cross
has said it will no longer accept blood donations from people who have lived
in britain for more than two months. Red cross officials have been watching
the british cases of bse in humans with growing alarm. It is the first such
ban to be introduced in europe and will affect around two thousand blood donors
in switzerland."[211] It really is time that european governments
got together to decide whether the ban on the export of bseef from brutland
ought to be extended to more upright members of the brutland's slave Animals. More Countries banning Brutish Bseef Blood; Smelling the Blood of an Englishman.
Belgium and austria are
the sixth and seventh countries to ban the blood of uk citizens .. "Belgium,
Austria and some german states, as well as switzerland, are already following
the example of the united states, australia, canada and new zealand in banning
donations from anyone who spent more than six months in the uk between 1980
and 1996, the years in which exposure to bse through infected meat, vaccines,
cosmetics or other possible routes was highest."[212]
Dealler also includes hong kong, "So far the list of countries that have banned
the donation by people that have visited UK for specific length of time: Belgium,
Germany, Switzerland, UKA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong."[213];
"Belgium, Austria and some german states, as well as switzerland, are already
following the example of the united States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand
in banning donations from anyone who spent more than six months in the uk between
1980 and 1996, the years in which exposure to bse through infected meat, vaccines,
cosmetics or other possible routes was highest."[214] The Production of Vaccines using Bse-Infected Products.
Polio Vaccine is being made from Brutish Bseef.
In october 2000 the brutish
government stopped the medeva company from manufacturing the polio vaccine after
discovering the company was using foetal Calf serum from brutish Cattle to grow
the polio enterovirus antibiotic, "Vaccine production uses foetal calf serum,
from pregnant cows, to help grow cells using different polio strains. A vaccine
using the British material was put on the market by Wellcome in 1989. But in
1991 it was bought by Medeva, which added two strains of its own to a new product."[215] Over the years the vaccine has been given to millions of children,
"An estimated 35m doses of the vaccine produced by Medeva between 1991 and this
week have been given to young children, teenagers receiving booster doses and
travellers. It accounted for a third of all oral polio vaccine administered."[216]
This is another huge propaganda howler for brutland's Animal terrorism industry
- having to admit that the country's biggest vaccine manufacturer has been lying
to cover up its use of bovine material from brutish herds. The Factory Producing the Polio Vaccine was a Shambles.
The factory producing the
polio vaccines was a shambles and a virtual hazard to health, "The drug
factory at the centre of the polio vaccine scandal has a history of contamination
and production blunders, leading to fears that its vaccines against other diseases
are unsafe. Last year, investigators from the u.s. food and drug administration
were horrified by the conditions they found at the plant in speke, near liverpool,
which also makes vaccines against flu, tuberculosis, tetanus, and hepatitis
B. Last october the fda's director of compliance, steven masiello, fired off
an official warning letter to medeva's head of primary production, john o'brian,
telling him to sort out the problems or have its products banned from entering
the u.s."[217] American Health Inspectors Closed the Plant not Brutish Ones.
What this case revealed
is that neither tory nor labour governments had done anything over the previous
decade to ensure companies were following supposedly strict government guidelines,
"Today's shocking revelation that a common polio vaccine grown using material
from British cows has been in use since early in the bse crisis should perhaps
not really be so surprising. The history of incompetence in identifying and
managing risk, and a tendency to cohabit with the beef industry rather than
with consumers displayed by agriculture and health officials during the crisis,
has been glaringly exposed during the two year bse inquiry whose report is published
next week."[218] The government's ban on
medeva's manufacture of vaccines was designed to give the public the impression
that it had been rigorously policing its anti-bse regulations but, as usual,
this was completely misleading because nick brown and the maffia had done nothing
about this industry until the american health investigators' report revealed
the appalling conditions in the factory and threatened to ban all of its products.
The government alleged that when it questioned medeva about whether it was using
brutish bseef, the company insisted it was not. It was only later that the company
admitted it had been secretly doing so. Once again this reveals the Animal slavery
industry's refusal to take bse-cjd seriously - primarily because tory and labour
politicians refused to believe the disease was lethal. Ooman Health.
The Dirtiest, Filthiest, most Revolting, Abattoirs in the World.
For generations this country
saw nothing wrong with running slaughterhouses which were less hygienic than
public lavatories. The slave Animals which graze in fields often end up, to
a greater or lesser degree, covered in mud containing multitudes of different
micro-organisms - some of which pose a health threat to oomans. When these Animals
are loaded onto lorries for transportation they are couped up for anything between
2-48 hours. At the end of the journey, the Animals on the bottom tier tend to
be covered in urine and excrement from those above. The longer and more stressful
the journey the worse the condition they arrive in. So, when these Animals are
eventually shoved into the extermination camps to be shot and dismembered like
so many jews before them, they are covered in shit - they're not given a good
wash and blow down before having their throat slit. As a consequence, "The
guardian first disclosed in march 1989 that only one brutish abattoir in 10
held an e.c. hygiene export certificate."[219] Food Poisoning: Salmonella.
Richard lacey argued, "Our
researches had shown that the disease (salmonella) was endemic in a large majority
of british battery-chicken farms. All eggs, including free-range (which come
from the same stock as battery hens and are therefore contaminated in their
internal organs before they are allocated to either type of husbandry) should
be treated with caution."[220]; "The various strains of salmonella are responsible
for some 40% of all reported food-poisoning cases in Britain. That annual figure
for food-poisoning cases passed the 100,000 mark for the first time in 1997."[221] Bse Regulations Flouted by Pharmers and Abattoirs.
In 1988, the tory government
introduced the specified offals ban to prevent bse from spreading to oomans.
This regulation was a farce because it was based on the maffia's nonsensical
hypothesis that bse resides only in specified Cattle offals and not blood or
flesh. Like all transmissible spongiform encephalopathies, the disease exists
in Cattle blood and is thus also present in meat. However, even these pathetic
regulations were constantly flouted by pharmers and abattoir owners. In 1996
the tory government suppressed the swann report exposing the appallingly unhygienic
state of brutish abattoirs and the failure to implement bse regulations. In
march 1997, the mirror exposed the cover up of the swann report, "A shock report
which uncovered filthy conditions in abattoirs was suppressed by ministers ..
The 54-page survey of all england's 450 slaughterhouses revealed how they were
risking the spread of killer bugs e-coli, bse, and salmonella. The dossier was
sent to the government for publication in march 1996. But its authors believe
it was shelved because it would have meant another blow to the meat industry
after bse. Inspectors for the report commissioned by the government agency,
the meat hygiene service, found cases of "major faecal contamination" which
causes e-coli. 18 people died and 400 were ill in an e-coli poisoning outbreak
in scotland last year. They also found cattle pens running with urine, blood
and faeces and poor sterilization. Inspectors discovered that government orders
to remove spinal cord from cow carcasses were not being carried out. The report
was completed in december 1995. But it was not published after its authors refused
to alter it. One claimed they were ordered to "tone it down" because it was
"far too damaging to the meat industry"."[222] Food Poisoning: E coli Kills 20.
Successive tory governments
refused to learn from the bse epidemic because this would have impaired the
profits they could obtain from their pharming interests. So it was not surprising
when the bse epidemic was followed in 1996 by the e-coli food poisoning outbreak
in which 20 people died. In the early 1980s a number of e.coli 0157 cases had
been discovered, "This is found in the guts of cattle and is therefore widespread
in abattoirs. In cattle it is usually harmless. In human beings it turns into
a rogue killer."[223] The government
did nothing to minimize the threat posed by this disease. It has been noted above
that the swann report, drawn up during the 1990s, covered not only bse but e.coli.
When asked about the e.coli deaths in Lanarkshire he is reported to have stated,
"If the recommendations had been implemented, the risk from e-coli 157 would
have been considerably diminished." Consumer affairs spokesman nigel griffiths
said: "if action had been taken on this report, there is a high possibility
that lives may have been saved."[224] The major
government suppressed swann's report. It also suppressed a report by hugh pennington
which it had commissioned into the Lanarkshire food poisoning disaster. The
mirror' was responsible for exposing the government's cover-up of the
pennington report - as it had done over the swann report, "Letters warning of
the potential timebomb' of contaminated meat were sent to the government
weeks before the mirror exposed a cover-up. The letters complained that hygiene
regulations were being ignored and that some inspectors who tried to enforce
them were being threatened. Douglas hogg .. "denied that a report linking conditions
in slaughterhouses to the lethal e-coli food poisoning virus had been suppressed
and maintained that standards "were constantly improving". But one letter sent
to Food Minister Angela Browning on february 11th said, "Levels of enforcement
in hygiene at present leave much to be desired.." The letter from peter comrie,
general secretary of the independent association of meat inspectors, added,
"Faecal contamination which can lead to e-coli, needs to be more rigorously
controlled - without delay." In another letter to the government's Meat Hygiene
Service in january, mr comrie wrote, "Far from improving, standards of hygiene
are steadily decreasing - with particular reference to faecal contamination
in beef .. this is a potential timebomb." Mr comrie warned that inspectors were
being threatened in a private letter to the Meat Hygiene Service on march 5th
... He said, "Far from being encouraged to enforce stricter hygiene standards,
meat hygiene inspectors are being actively encouraged to ignore breaches of
regulations and in some cases threatened if they try to take action. Professor
swann backed mr comrie and said, "meat inspectors working in isolation in abattoirs
have been threatened with knives and cars have been damaged where they have
tried to take a firm line on enforcement issues."[225] Douglas hogg pretended that there had been
no cover up of the report and that it had been sent to everyone with responsibilities
in this area. When questioned he stated that anne foster, a key member of the
pennington committee, knew about the existence of the report. She categorically
denied that was true. A year later, in january
1998, pennington was forced to complain about the speed with which the government
was carrying out his recommendations, "The Government has been reprimanded for
failing to take measures to clean up food production and reduce food poisoning.
Professor Hugh Pennington, the microbiologist at Aberdeen University who investigated
the E. coli outbreak in Scotland that killed 20 people last year, says his recommendations
have not been implemented quickly enough. His criticism comes on the heels of
a warning yesterday by the British Medical Association that all raw meat should
be assumed to be contaminated and treated as a potential source of poisoning.
The Government will tomorrow publish a long-awaited White Paper on its proposals
for a Food Standards Agency, intended as an independent watchdog body monitoring
the production and processing of food all the way from plough to plate."[226]
In october 1998 it was implied that unscrupulous abattoirs had stopped cheating
in 1995 but, as the previous quote implies, it was still going on years after
this, "Offal banned for human consumption in britain because of the high risk
of transmitting bse to people may have been entering the food chain as recently
as 1995, the official bse enquiry was told last week. In his evidence, andrew
fleetwood, a senior vet at the ministry of agriculture, described a letter from
a consultant to the meat industry dated june 1995, which noted that "unscrupulous
abattoirs had cheated."[227] In conclusion, the tory
governments of the 1990s did little about the unhygienic state of brutland's
abattoirs except ban reports highlighting what a terrible mess they were in.
As a consequence, twenty people died because john major's government refused
to act on the points made in swann's damning report. Food Poisoning: Campylobacter.
This .. "is estimated to
cause some 600,000 cases of food poisoning in britain every year."[228] Millions suffer Food Poisoning.
"A record 100,000 people
were officially notified to the Public Health Laboratory Service last year as
suffering from food poisoning, but scientists estimate that the actual number
of such cases could be ten times that figure. Speaking on BBC2's Food and Drink
programme, to be screened tonight, Professor Pennington says the figures are
"unacceptable" for a type of disease that is preventable. "There
is a crisis in British food production. It is not about BSE or healthy eating.
It is food poisoning. If they (the Government) are really serious they must
implement all the recommendations in my report now.""[229]
It has been argued, "The estimated number of food poisoning cases per year
in the UK is now approximately 1 million."[230] Food Poisoning Rife but Little being done about it!
"Official figures show extent
to which cooking relied on to make products safe, and how few breaches are prosecuted.
As many as one in five chickens or turkeys - fresh or frozen - contain food-poisoning
bugs, and one in six have other forms of contamination, according to official
statistics. The extent to which the food industry depends on restaurants, hotels,
burger vans and cooks at home making the final product safe to eat is revealed
by figures from official sampling in 1996. Nearly 10 per cent of all types of
food sampled failed microbiological tests, and 15 per cent were dirty in other
ways. Other poultry products, such as pies and processed food, recorded 13.5
per cent failure rates on food safety. One in 11 samples of fresh or frozen
beef were unsatisfactory. One in nine restaurants and take-aways failed microbiological
inspections, and one in six had other contamination. One in six ready-made dishes
failed in tests for food poisoning bugs. Milk, fish and vegetables also came
out poorly in checks administered throughout the food chain and made under legislative
powers or after official complaints. The results can be used for prosecutions.
Less formal samplings, including regular screening, nevertheless found one in
eight fresh and frozen poultry samples failing microbiological tests, and one
in six meat checks was unsatisfactory. Nearly one in four other poultry meat
products failed. The results show some improvement over 1994, when studies by
the Public Health Laboratory Service for the Government's advisory committee
on the microbiological safety of food found there was salmonella contamination
in a third of chilled fresh chicken and 41 per cent of frozen chicken sampled
from supermarkets, butchers, freezer centres and other stores. The national
figures, the most recent available, are collated by civil servants but results
from local authority checks and prosecutions, which can lead to fines of up
to £20,000. They show there were 363 prosecutions for hygiene related failures,
including microbiological contamination of food. Of these, 194 were against
restaurants and other caterers, and 124 were against shops. In addition, on
both food safety and trading standards, 161,711 written warnings were given,
3,119 formal notices to improve issued, 534 formal cautions given, 3,818 seizures
or surrenders of food carried out, and 147 premises shut down. Not a single
slaughterhouse was prosecuted by councils for hygiene failures in 1996, according
to these figures. Forty-one manufacturers and processors were. However, the
Meat Hygiene Service - set up in April 1995 as a national agency to police slaughterhouse
and cutting plants - has significantly increased prosecutions. In 1995/96 two
cutting plants were fined a total of £3,750 and paid £2,763 costs. The next
year there were six prosecutions for hygiene offences and nine for failing to
comply with specific anti-BSE measures. In 1998 23 firms were convicted of hygiene
offences, with fines totalling £60,650 and £28,609 costs. Another 10 were fined
£40,000 for failing to meet safeguards. Some in the food industry believe a
sense of proportion is needed. ''We are dealing with organisms in the environment,
and we are dealing with fresh foods. It is not unreasonable for environmental
organisms to contaminate fresh foods,'' said one industry source, while conceding
that it had a duty to keep contamination as low as possible. The new Food Standards
Agency should lead a far more focused assault. Ministers accept that the impression
that the Ministry of Agriculture has been too close to the food industry has
also undermined confidence. It will monitor standards of all human food and
lead or share policy on food poisoning organisms, animal feed, genetically modified
food, food additives and labelling. It could cost £100 million a year, on top
of the £150 million a year spent already on food monitoring. The Government
wants to charge the nation's 500,000 food outlets £90 a year under a revamped
registration scheme to meet up to half those extra costs."[231] All Meat Should be Regarded as Contaminated.
In january 1998, even the
conservative brutish medical authority was forced to act, "In a submission to
a Commons Agriculture Committee inquiry into food safety, the BMA says: "The
state of food safety in the UK is such that all raw meat should be assumed to
be contaminated with pathogenic organisms.""[232] Meat is Carcinogenic.
"The government was accused
of frantically back-tracking after announcing red meat was safe to eat. One
third of cancers are linked to diet but tucking into average amounts of red
meat does not increase the risk, according to a labour-appointed study. In september
health secretary frank dobson advised people eating normal amounts of red meat
to "consider a reduction" to lower their chances of getting the disease. That
sparked a furious row and in a U-turn the government now says consumers need
not change their ways. .. the report by the committee on medical aspects of
food and nutrition policy. The average brit eats three ounces of cooked red
meat - beef, lamb, pork, beefburgers and sausages - per day. It is the 15% who
eat more than five ounces who could be putting their health at risk. The COMA
panel intended to publish its advice in september after considering evidence
linking red meat to bowel cancer - which kills 19,000 britons a year. It recommended
people who ate five ounces a day should cut down. Then professor philip james,
architect of the new food standards agency, persuaded ministers that the advice
should be strengthened. He said the committee had been railroaded by the meat
industry. James suggested guidelines similar to those from the world cancer
research fund, which backs daily consumption of less than three ounces. After
yesterday's report chief medical officer kenneth calman said, "Adults who eat
more than the average amount of red meat, especially those who eat a lot more,
might benefit from a reduction. Average and below average consumers need not
change."[233] Diseased Animals Containing Huge Levels of Antibiotics.
The greater the intensity
of Animal rearing, the greater the likelihood of diseases spreading amongst
the slave Animals, the more antibiotics/hormone growth boosters are used to
strengthen Animals' bodies against such diseases and prevent outbreaks of diseases.
Brutland has one of the most intensive Animal exploitation industries in the
world so it is hardly surprising that there are so many diseases emanating from
this country. Superbugs.
Meat is contaminated by
superbugs and people eating meat will absorb these micro-organisms making it
extremely difficult to ward off infections. The effect this is having on ooman
health has started to become apparent in the country's hospitals. In april 1998,
"A virulent new superbug has been discovered which could kill people with weak
immune systems, it was reported yesterday. The strain is so strong that it cannot
be fought with any known drug. The bug Pseudomonas aeruginosa, even shrugs off
treatment by carbapenems, the latest high strength range of antibiotics. The
bug was discovered by a team led by david livermore, director of the public
health laboratory service unit which monitors the emergence of drug resistant
bacteria. His discovery follows a report from the house of lords select committee
on science and technology which called for a ban on the routine use on farms
of drugs related to anti-biotics used to treat human illnesses."[234]"There has been a 12 fold increase in just nine years in patients
contracting the mrsa bug, which resists all but the most powerful antibiotics.
Poor hygiene by doctors in between treating patients on wards are being blamed
for making the outbreak worse."[235] The Pharmers' Criminal Underworld Involved in Recycling Condemned Food.
If all this wasn't bad enough,
even the food that had been condemned because it was unfit for ooman consumption
was being recycled. The pharming industry's connections with the criminal underworld
were such that gangs of criminals were making millions out of salvaging diseased
food and selling it to restaurants and major food manufacturers producing popular
brands of food, "Health experts last night demanded an inquiry after five men
were jailed for britain's worst food racket. The fraudsters sold hundreds of
tons of rotten poultry, meant for dog food, to unsuspecting supermarkets, butchers
and restaurants nationwide."[236]
When the pharming industry boasts that nothing goes to waste they mean this
literally - they sell condemned food to prevent it from becoming waste. Brutland's Asthma Epidemic.
Brutland is currently suffering
from an asthma epidemic. The reason for this is the vast increase in the numbers
of cars polluting the atmosphere but the chances of this being recognized as
the main cause of the disease is negligible considering that scientists are
currently blaming Mice, "Mice may be partly to blame for the childhood asthma
epidemic, scientists said yesterday."[237] If you
see any Mice bombing up the motorway at 80mph ask them not to fart. Is it any
wonder our organ stealing medical profession is an object of derision around
the world? Medical Profession is the object of derision over Bse, Bse-cjd, HIV, haemophilia,
Hepatitis C, High blood pressure, Breast cancer, Cervical cancer and Prostatic
cancer.
"The beef-eaters, myself
included, have been saved by our resistance - not by the government scientists,
the government vets, and the Department of Health, whose advice has been as
dangerously bad about BSE and CJD as it was over HIV, haemophilia and hepatitis
C. In a less dramatic way, their tardiness in supporting adequate screening
for high blood pressure, breast cancer, cervical cancer and prostatic cancer
has made these aspects of British medicine the object of the world's derision."[238] Filthy Hospitals.
"Infections picked up in
hospitals are killing 5,000 people a year, a report warned. The disclosure comes
from the house of commons public accounts committee, which calls for the health
service to "get a grip" on the crisis which is costing the nhs a £1billion a
year. The report found that at least 100,000 patients fall victim each year
to hospital bugs."[239] Worsening Environmental Conditions.
Pharmers Decimation of the Country's Natural Biodiversity.
Pharmers in brutland have
cut down virtually all the country's Forests, drained its Swamps and Marshes,
and murdered most of its Wildlife until the only Animals likely to be seen are
Rabbits and Foxes - and the only reason they didn't exterminate Foxes is because
they like to use them as sport. Pharmers have turned the Earth's life support
system in this country upside and down and then they have the sheer gall to
claim they ought to be given billions of pounds in subsidies so that they can
pretend they're custodians of the countryside. This country absorbs a mere 1.4%
of its Carbon pollution through Photosynthesis - a level of geophysiological
devastation that is almost unparalleled anywhere else on the planet. If this
country's Carbon budget was replicated around the Earth by all other countries
there would be so much Carbon in the atmosphere that people would bump their
heads on it as they opened their front door. Pharmers Blocking Environmental Regulations.
"Downing Street has also
vetoed the possibility, again suggested by the unit's major report on the countryside
last year, of placing "environmental conditions" on more than £1 billion
worth of arable farm subsidies under the Common Agricultural Policy."[240] Illegal Dumping of Waste.
"The oil industry claims
more than 5 million gallons of used car oil (equivalent to one-fifth of the
Braer's cargo) is dumped by British DIY enthusiasts into sewerage systems or
on the soil each year. Thousands of tonnes of waste pesticides, paints and solvents
intended for domestic use are also flushed away each year."[241] Clouds of Benzole Polluted Air.
The petrol/benzene mixture,
known as benzole, was commonly used during the 1950s but was withdrawn after
concerns about public health. Despite this rather shady past benzole was reintroduced
as a substitute for leaded petrol. Britain is alone in permitting its use; in
Europe and the United States, methyl tertiary butyl ether or MTBE is used; "To
produce 'green' unleaded petrol, oil companies boost the levels of benzene."[242] It should hardly be surprising then that the oil industry hails
benzene as the green alternative to lead. In other words, a highly toxic additive
has been replaced by a known carcinogen. "An alarming feature is that benzene
levels are not reduced in unleaded petrol. Scientists say it can be found at
even higher levels in super-unleaded, the so-called 'green power-fuel'."[243] Car Pollution; Europe's Dirtiest Cars.
In these days it's impossible
for anyone in brutland to set foot outside of their front door without being
engulfed in clouds of poisonous car fumes. Whilst in urban areas dirty, smelly,
car fumes are an everyday, visible, and pungent, reality, in rural areas people
are increasingly affected by the invisible and odourless forms of car pollution
in the form of acid rain and tropospheric ozone pollution, "Britain has the
worst record in europe for cutting down Carbon dioxide emissions from new cars.
The nation's ranking as one of europe's heaviest CO2 polluters was
branded a "shameful disgrace" .. says a new report by transport 2000 and wwf."[244]
According to an interview with lord gus macdonald, "The government has conceded
defeat in its battle to break britain's car culture' by admitting that
vehicle ownership will increase and that it is unrealistic to try to force drivers
off the road. Creating cleaner engines was a more efficient and realistic way
of improving the environment than simply reducing the number of cars on the
roads. The new approach will almost certainly lead to more money being invested
in road-building programme. Lord macdonald has already approved a £280 million
package of 18 local road schemes and commissioned the highways authority to
identify 100 traffic hotspots' for future investment."[245] More Atmospheric Pollution on the Way in Brutland.
"The number of days on which
pollution exceeded health standards last year rose by 20% in urban areas - to
one day in 13 - and 53% in rural regions to one day in eight. That is the biggest
deterioration in air quality since the government began monitoring levels in
1993."[246] Dirty Rivers, Beaches, and Coastal Waters.
Virtually every single beach
in the country is awash with a range of chemical poisons and biological diseases
from the pharming industry. Since the second world war, successive governments
have insisted on pumping manure a mile out to sea in the hope that, canute like,
it won't be washed back onto brutish shores. In 1975 european community countries
agreed to a set of minimum pollution standards for water over a ten year period.
In the summer 1989, nicholas ridley, secretary of state for the environment,
claimed that such standards were "ridiculous, extravagant and unnecessary."
While he was secretary of state for the environment he never once bothered to
attend a meeting of europe's environment ministers. Lord young, another member
of thatcher's band of criminals, called for the abolition of pollution controls.
Even today, many coastal waters are afflicted by ooman and livestock manure
and Algae covers many brutish shores. Dumping Toxic Waste on Third World Countries.
The reason that the brutish
environment is not as poisonous as it might be given the quantities of toxic
rubbish being produced by brutish industry is because brutland dumps as much
of its rubbish as it can onto third world countries, "Plans to plug a loophole
in EC regulations which allows Britain to dump 80,000 tonnes of toxic waste
in the third world each year will be blocked by the environment minister David
Maclean at a meeting in Brussels today. Exporting waste to developing countries
(sic) is already banned under the Basle Convention but a loophole which allows
the shipment of material due to be "recycled" is being increasingly
exploited by British business."[247] General.
There are those who believe in progress and hold that the brutish environment
is healthier than it has ever been in the past. This is, of course, a delusion.
There is far more pollution around today than ever before for the simple
reason that:- *
far more fossil fuels are being used than ever before; * far more toxic chemicals
are being produced than ever before; * far more waste is being
dumped into the environment than ever before; * far more manure is being
dumped into the environment than ever before; and there are, * far fewer Forests exist
than ever before. The reason that many people
in brutland do not perceive the deterioration in the environment is because
firstly whereas pollution in the past was noticeable i.e. it could be seen and
smelt, most of the pollution being dumped into the environment today is invisible.
In addition, a range of measures have been taken to push a great deal of domestically
generated pollution out of the country - smokestacks dump pollution higher into
the atmosphere; sewage systems dump manure further out to sea; toxic waste being
dumped in third world countries, etc. One of the reasons brutland
often stands alone in europe is that europe has higher standards of public cleanliness,
hygiene, and environmental standards. There is no mystery why this country is
called the dirty man of europe.
