I can feel my entire body burn in embarrassment
Thank god it's a hot night
So she knows about that song
So I hum the tune I composed for her

I look down at her closed eyes
And she looks quite like an angel
When right on beat thunder strikes
Literally

The light bulb cloud, I notice
It's dark
And it's humid

Hello, thunderstorm!

So it begins to rain
As if on cue
I didn't think my voice was that bad

The rain is a welcome relief to the heat
But we're by a large tree
By the rocks
Damn

Isabel just laughed
Her hand grabbed mine around her shoulder
Her lips parted
The raindrops kissed her in my place

So the thunder strikes again
And Isabel jumps
...closer to me
Hey, I've got no problem with a beautiful
Wet
Girl pressed agenst my side

But it's beginning to intensify
I laugh too
"Come on"
So much for an evening
On the rocks

We jog
With our arms around each other
To a gas station
Still laughing

I don't want to call someone
Not now
But fortune favors the rained out
"mister SCORE man!"

And the band comes to the rescue
"BOYS!" I shout
"Come in from the weather! The love machine
Awaits"
A hand with painted nails smacks the speaker
"Come on Alex, Is"
It's Maria
"We'll give you a ride"
