Description: When I found this bike it was a bit of a mess but mostly complete and I was not going to do much with it until I found the serial number A 00006 this meant it was well worth doing up and 3 months later it is blue; colour matched as close as I could get; Nos seat and tires thanks to EBay ever bit was rechromed and I found some stickers in the UK the mud guards where wrong and now found some but they getting rechromed at the moment, also found a mint original sales brochure, that was the finishing touch I would say the bike is a 10/10 but would bring it back to 9/10 because it is not in original condition. I am a mad collector of bikes having Choppers, Krate and some Dragsters I also have a few of my bikes on a web page at http://www.dragsterbikes.com/. (The) 2 photos (show) the before and after shots remember still to fit the mud guards.

Serial #: 009668
Color: Raspberry blue
Condition: Cond 9
Description: I am giving this a 9 rating for condition because its in excellent condition but not original. I bought this bike as just a frame back in 1992 and put it in storage until 2002 and finally got it finished in April 2003. I made mention of this frame when I registered my home made swinger on page 8 of the registry. It is powder coated raspberry blue and has a Nexus 7 speed hub with roller brake. I also put a 26in. Schwinn Breeze blade front fork and a 12in. front wheel on it. I mounted an L.E.D. headlight in the front fork and a tailight on the rear head tube. I even have a mount on the handlebars for my GPS unit, it helps me keep track of the miles I put on the bike and comes in handy when riding in cities I`m not familiar with.
I have put somewhere around 200 miles on this bike in a little more than a year so far and I can ride wheelies for blocks. I am presently in the process of putting together another Nexus 7 speed Swinger, I will post a pic when I get it done. Keep on swingin`.

Serial #: 012335
Color: Orange
Condition: Cond 9
Description: I have had this bike since 1985 and paid $10 for the three frame pieces. It was in terrible shape when I got it, It was in a utility trailer in someones backyard covered in yard debris. It was Orange when I got it and had polka dots (go figure)! I live in Hawaii now( I brought it here from Oregon) on Maui and people still point at it when I ride it. I made the seat post myself from a piece of 3/4 stainless pipe(vertical) and radiuses cut from old "ape Hanger" handle bars. The Carlisle slick is about 20 or so yrs old and I put it on about a year ago, it still has the mould "tits" on it.I have gone through about six back tires since I have owned it because I Love riding it. I am the only one who can actually ride it (19 yrs experience!). Anyway, I plan to leave it like it is, but want to at least repaint and recrome some parts.(although restoring it would be cool or buy an original) The serial # is 012335. There is another # above it and is Brev # 3-801130, not sure what that is, any ideas? My cousin had one (green,I think) when I was a kid, they sold it in the early '80's for $20 at a garage sale(Hmm, if they only knew!).

Description: I purchased it new in about 1978 or 79. Here are a couple of pictures of it that I took yesterday. It would have travelled only about 20 or so miles (I mainly used my BMX bike), but was stored in a garage at my parents home. The tyres are like new, but perished & the chrome is rusty. I am hoping to restore it to it's former glory. I have now cleaned up the frame & polished up some of the chrome & regreased the head & crank bearings. There are a couple of small chips in the paint & the stickers are not perfect. There wasn't any rust on the frame, just heaps of dust. The mudguards, handle bars & hand brake will all need to be rechromed to look 100%, but I'll get it mobile first & get that done later. I have put on some other wheels so that I can ride it. I did this as I am going to keep the original wheels & tyres together and don't want to ruin them. I have included a picture of the dealer sticker & the sticker on the rear tyre. I noticed that some people on the web said that their bikes had firestone tyres, but mine didn't. It had chinese ones.

Description: Hello from Ohio - About 25 years ago a friend's son had a decent Swing Bike. I had never seen one before then and had never seen one since. I said to the son that if he was ever interested in selling the little bike, that I would love to have it for parades. After the boy was old enough to leave home and move away, the bike just hung in a building on the wall. About 5 years ago I was talking to the father and asked if the bike was still in the building . I was told it was and was told that the son was still not interested in selling it. But I never got to see it. WELL what do you know. I received a phone call from the (the son) and he asked me if I was still interested in buying the Swing Bike . After all these years. He said there was a few parts missing. The two fenders are gone. He told me that some of the Swing Bikes are bringing good money. I went ahead and bought the bike and will try to do a little bit of restoring on it. I would like to have it to ride in local Parades. I first inquired about it back in 1977 or 78. What a wait! It needs both fenders, but the rest of the bike is all there and is rideable as it is. I am going to take it to a local bike shop and see if I can get both new rims for it, as these are pretty badly pitted. I also need the sissy bar if you know of one. The Swing Bike has primer on it now, just as the seller had done to it when he was 15 years old. I also have a home made bike using a 26 inch frame, but it only has 24 inch wheels on it. The frame is a men's frame. I call my bike the UP AND DOWN BIKE. It really does go UP and DOWN as I ride it. Both wheel HUBS are OFFSET by at least 2 1/2 inches. The Bike has a regular old type of coaster brake on the rear wheel. Sometimes the front of the bike will be up and the back will be lower, then the wheels will be different and the front will be down and so forth. To get an idea of the motion of the wheels, use a plastic coffee or a plastic drink lid, and put a hole in it with the sharp end of a pencil, just a little bit OFF CENTER. Now, with the pencil off center just a little bit about one inch from the plastic lid, turn the ERASER end of the pencil and make the LID rotate around and around. A friend converted the wheels quite a few years ago, then over time, the rims were getting pretty dull, so i took the wheels to a bicycle shop and they made up new chrome rims and spokes for me, plus two new tires at a cost of almost $200.00. Each wheel has 4 different lengths of spokes in them. I have ridden the bike in many parades and have won quite a few trophies with it. It really is quite funny to see the bike going down the street. I have had quite a few inquiries about buying the bike, but i will be keeping it for a few more years. I am 66 years old but intend on riding it a few more years. By installing a smaller front sprocket on my bike, I can still pedal it up a decent grade on a street, even if I have to stand up and pedal it. One thing for sure, is that my bike can not be ridden very fast at all, even on the level. My bike is painted yellow and i have 5 goose horns (rubber squeeze type) on the handlebars. Another home made bike I have is one I call the (2 BY 2). It was made from a 20" boys bike and is really only 24 inches tall (at top of seat) and 24 inches long. It has 6 inch lawn mower wheels on it. The frame was cut down in sections, then welded back together. I also have a beautiful 1976 Schwinn Typhoon (made in Chicago ) that is an all orignal men's bike (blue) and it has original plastic saddle bags over the rear fender.
