This fish rider is a pattern by Julie McCollough. I made quite a few changes in the fish but the guy is still the same. The upper fin of the fish is the guy's body. The fabric is a Bali batik. I love this kind of fabric and use it a lot. |

I sculpted the faces using super sculpy. It's the kind of clay that you bake in the oven. The woodland Santa has a decorated wood twig for a staff. His pockets are filled with toys. Some I made and some I bought. Mrs. Claus has a basket with clay cookies and candy in one hand and a stack of boxes in the other. Both are half dolls that were built in wood dowels. |
 |
I sculpted the faces of these 3, also. All 5 of these dolls are one of a kind. I don't use molds for the faces.
The tall Santa in ecru carries a tree and has a sack with toys. I made the tiny doll and bear that are peeking out of the bag. The Santa in red has a sack filled with boxes and toys that I made. The elf that is sitting is decorating a tree. There is a basket filled with ornaments in front of the tree. His boots are made from scraps from a coat. The outside is suede and the inside is sheep wool. |
