I love this bear but I wouldn't want to make another real soon. His entire body is done like a crazy quilt with scraps of fabrics sewn to a muslin base. It took a very long time to decide
on fabrics and where each embroidery design would go. Now I like to make them from an ecru fabric and use lace and ribbon to section the bear parts. I sold a pattern for a bear done in this easy style to 'Better Homes and Gardens". I hope to see it in print someday.

These bears are made of fuzzy felt. This stuff is great to work with. The bears are decorated with cloth pictures and silk ribbon embroidery. I sell a similar pattern.

This bear is divided into sections with lace and each section has Brazilian embroidery. I used pearl cotton for the embroidery instead of rayon. The collar and cuffs are crocheted. |
