Welcome to Latest
Printer News.
From Canon Computer
Systems comes the Canon BJC-7004 Photo.
Using seven colors of ink, the BJC-7004 can print
at 1,200-by-600 dots per inch (dpi) resolution on
a large variety of paper sizes. Featuring Canon's
proprietary P-POP (Plain Paper Optimized
Printing) technology, this printer is designed to
enhance water resistance, eliminate feathering
and bleeding between colors, and produce sharper
text. Print speed for letter-size paper is rated
at 3.5 pages per minute (ppm) in color and 5 ppm
in monochrome.
ALPS Electric ( www.alpsusa.com) is
taking advantage of a proprietary technology. the
ALPS MD-1300 uses the company's Micro Dry
ink technology. Unlike standard ink jets, Micro
Dry generates dry, waterproof prints that look as
flat as a photo. Targeted at digital
photographers and graphic artists, the MD-1300
prints 3 to 5 ppm in color and generates
600-by-600 dpi on either standard or photo paper;
it can print out in continuous-tone color on DISA
paper. Black and white images print out at 5 to
12 ppm in 1,200-by-600-dpi resolution.
