1) Boycott Lists!

Boycott lists!
If you are interested in receiving updated boycott lists of multinational corporations known to be environmentally damaging you can send an e-mail to:
Raykilgore1@waveland.org
or
In order to increase effectiveness, organization, and speed ofor communication for an instant boycott boycott change, please subscribe to the free e-mail group by going to:
www.egroups.com/list/internationalboycott
There everyone can be contacted at the same time and instantly. This can save a lot of time in sending new lists and we can respond immediately to developing environmental situations around the world. I urge everyone to join!

We who surf the web can ask others in other chat rooms, on our web sites, on boards and news groups if they are interested in receiving the list and joining the e-mail group. If we ask those we contact to do the same and they ask others and so forth, eventually a world-wide boycott could effectively cut into the profits of the multinationals. Once they see their profits fall significantly they will want to increase their profits by becoming more "Earth friendly".

Unfortunately, difficulty in attracting a large enough group of boycotters is not the only problem. It seems most of these multinationals are not as much competitors as they are conspirators. For example one major oil company executive said "We're more likely to see other companies as collaborators rather than adversaries...We aren't so much competing with each other as we are competing with the earth"...see (www.igc.org/trac/corner/worldnews/other/229.html). This is the type of thinking we are up against. Since we are the defenders of the Earth it is us they are competing against in determining the condition of the Earth. We all know what the condition of Earth will be if the multinationals continue to have their way.
Yet, if we decide to boycott the worse of the environmentally damaging multinational corporations, we may be able to force them to compete against each other in treating the Earth more environmentally friendly.

List No1 and list No2 in English

List No1 in Spanish

The lists:

Global Warming:
Targets:
Oil companies:
1.Texaco: In addition to being a major source of greenhouse gases through the burning of gasoline, Texaco left Ecuador's rain forests and water polluted with oil according to:
www.igc.org/trac/corner/worldnews/other/other13.html

2. Shell Oil: In addition to being a major source of greenhouse gases through the burning of gasoline, Shell oil left Nigeria with its forests and waters polluted with oil. Information obtained from: www.igc.org/trac/gallery/shell/boycottshell.html

3. Chevron: In addition to being a major source of greenhouse gases through the burning of gasoline and other oil products, Chevron allegedly funds "anti environment" front groups. Information obtained from: www.ran.org/ran/what_you/boycott.html

4. All other oil companies also are major sources of greenhouse gases. It is recommended that we boycott all gasoline stations related to these companies and their oil products and instead buy from British Petroleum (BP) because BP has recently pledged to cut its greenhouse gases by 10% and to research and develop alternative forms of energy. This information was obtained from www.eDF.ORG/pubs/EDF-letter/1998/Nov/a_BP.html

Others:
In Kyoto the industrialized nations insist on greenhouse emissions trading where they can sell emissions credits to poorer countries who produce less emissions in order for the industrialized nations to avoid decreasing their own emissions. This is particularly true in the USA - largest emissions producer of the world and the EU. For this reason it is asked that we boycott their products as much as possible and buy products from the developing countries instead. This information was obtained from CNN.com.

I found many boycotts on the web. The important thing for us to do is to concentrate on a few rather than on many different ones so that we may have more of an impact. Of course the choice is yours. For more information please visit the above sites or e-mail Ray.

End the destruction of rain forests world-wide. This includes the temperate rain forests in Canada and Russia; and the tropical rain forests in South America and Asia. The great forests are the lungs of our Earth. Without them life could not exist. We hope 1999 becomes a better year for our cousins the trees! Some of the oil companies listed on the first list such as Texaco and Shell would be included here due to their environmental damage to the forests. Unocal (Union 76 stations) now added and it is recommended that we purchase our oil products ( if we must purchase them) from British Petroleum.

Home Depot - the largest home improvement stores in the world of products from old growth forests. It is a major force in the destruction of the world's last old growth forests from British Columbia to the Amazon. See web site: www.ran.org/ran/special/homedepot/intro.html

Mitsubishi Corporation, Macmillan Bloedel, Ltd. and Georgia- Pacific Corporation - three of the world's worst destroyers of forest. Some of Mitsubishi's other companies include Mitsubishi automobiles, Mitsubishi electronic equipment, Kirin beer, and Nikon camera equipment, see web site: www.ran.org/ran_campaigns/mitsubishi

To learn what you can do to help the rain forests, go to: www.ran.org/ran/what_you/seven.html
Another excellent site is:
www.eDF.ORG/programs/International/chico
Much of rain forests are burned to farm grain for beef and other meats. Those fires (remember last years fires) often get out of control. To help in this area see the web site:
www.vegan.org
To get an idea of how some of our more radical environmental brothers and sisters are helping and their philosophy, I recommend reading the book Ecodefense it is available at the web site:

2) Animal-testing

ATTENTION! The page you are about to enter contains 4 pictures of exreme cruelty. DO NOT ENTER if you have a weak heart.
I decided to keep this page away from the picture gallery to prevent you from the unexpected shock. These crimes that you are about to witness, will keep on happening for medical purposes, just for fun or revenge. They will keep on happening because animals cannot react. But you can.
And for those of you thinking "what the hell, they 're just animals", I have only one thing to say: That's what Nazis said about other human beings they used for their experiments. Maybe next time you or I will be the "animal".

Prepare yourself to ENTER HERE!
