GUN CONTROL:
Liberal Thinking: Death or injury to those who can't use martial arts or other non-lethal means of self-defense-- The young, the old, the infirm, the disabled, the weak, the small, and the pregnant--are simply the necessary sacrifice we must make to criminals, to avoid the risks of letting honest, law abiding people be armed.

Please 'Click' Here to see the CFC's 'Last word' on the Definite number of gun owners in Canada
Please note, that the results you find at the end of this link, have not changed in over two years
Actually, the link is now dead, and no place on the Website do they now say how many guns are in Canada..
Import/export/destruction records indicate 17-21 million.. And 'they' say they have 90% compliance with only 7 million guns in the system.. Only a left wing politician could make that giant leap in logic!

What's a Liberal Government Done For Canada?
Poorly Equipped Military, Leaky Second Hand Submarines, 40 Year Old Helicopters, A 2 Billion Dollar Registry of Law Abiding Firearms Owners to control crime(??), Billions cut from Health Care, Millions fraudulently stolen/redirected to line the pockets of Liberal Supporters in Quebec, Rampant cronyism, Ducking responsibility by having the Supreme Court decide what should be law, Refusing to allow Canadians the RIGHT to own property, Confiscation without compensation, Political retributions against whistle blowers, etc..etc..etc...

The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund
(Re-Printed from the Firearms Digest)
Today three Dryden, Ontario, residents established a trust fund to assist
Bruce Montague in obtaining good legal counsel to carry the fight against
the unjust Firearms Act all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund is now ready to receive donations.
In fact, Anthony Nickel of Dryden made the first donation two days ago !!
Please be generous as you pull out your checkbooks
To launch the first public appeal for funds, Donna Montague will be attending the gun show in Kenora to tell  of  the 36 hour "home invasion" which she and her children endured at the hands of the OPP and the Ontario Special Weapons Force. Jack Wilson & I will also be present to distribute Support Your Rights and Freedoms literature at a table very graciously provided to us by the local Kenora gun club and to assist in the collection of funds. We all are indebted to Dryden bush pilot Dan Baron (aka The Red Baron), Roger Nordlund, a local auto repair mechanic, and Willie Cheslock, a financial advisor with Nesbitt Burns, for volunteering to manage the Fund. Please send your donation made out to the

By giving away 'free' POL's the Liberals have ensured two things.
#1: People, who in most cases, would not have bothered to send the Liberals $60.00 to renew, now keep their licence.  Thereby,  allowing the Liberals to keep telling the media they have issued 2 million licences..
#2: How embarrassing it would be, for 700,000 plus licences 'not' to be renewed eh! It's all about politics ,,er ,, public safety remember!
Hmmm I wonder how many of those 'free renewed' POL holders have yet to register a single firearm in this farce of a system?

Gun control doesn't reduce crime, violence, say studies
National Academy of Sciences, Justice Dept. reports find no benefits to restricting ownership of firearms
While it is an article of faith among gun-control proponents that government restrictions on firearms reduces violence and crime, two new U.S. studies could find no evidence to support such a conclusion. The National Academy of Sciences issued a 328-page report based on 253 journal articles, 99 books, 43 government publications, a survey of 80 different gun-control laws and some of its own independent study. In short, the panel could find no link between restrictions on gun ownership and lower rates of crime, firearms violence or even accidents with guns. (I can't think of a better article to end the year on.. Gun control has NO effect on Crime Rates.. But of course, the Liberals will somehow insist that this is only the case in the U.S.A. and 'gun control' works in Canada.. And then, they will drag out the old 2000 hits a days on the database (they say from police, but everyone knows it's simply just bureaucratic 'busywork'), The 1200 "refusals"( that have since been licensed, or in most cases, still have all the guns they had, and 'those' refusals are only a fraction of the number refused under the old FAC system), the 90% compliance rate (only the liberals could figure 7 million guns, and 2 million owners is 90% of  the actual 17 million guns and 5 million owners) The police support the registry (The police association 'lobby group' supports the registry in the hope of getting more power/funding/etc. The police on the street DO NOT), 1200 'or so' "affidavits" for the courts to be used in firearms prosecutions (in virtually every case, the affidavit would only confirm the firearm was indeed "not registered" , as any police officer with a brain could have told them beforehand!). And on and On it goes.. The Liberals only pulling their heads out of their asses long enough to see who's handing them 'another' cheque to be distributed among their friends... HAPPY NEW YEAR.. MAY THE FARCE AVOID YOU IN 2005)
Democratic potential in Canada
I have immigrated to Canada from Switzerland 17 years ago, and that country is my democratic benchmark as it should be everybody else’s. Compared to Switzerland, Canada's political system is some mammoth dark ages dictatorship with overwhelming disregard to privacy and personal freedoms and lack of popular input in policy and law creation. Since 1987 I haven't seen any problem solved in Canada although all parties had their chance to govern. People’s input has been reduced to taking revenge on current government when the voting time comes. In the long run though, it doesn't make a bit of a difference what government we have since all of them are allowed to impose laws and waste money by playing economic gurus as they please, just the same. (Something to think about when you head to the polls in 2005.. You simply CAN'T expect change when the same bunch of thieves are voted in time and time again! Our entire political system is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Just from the obvious evidence, that who ever is in power has almost complete control over the treasury, and the ability to use YOUR tax dollars to award those that toe their political line. Think of the 'gun registry', our 'token' military, and the Fat Cat, Quebec advertising buddies of the Liberal Government. Think of the billions in tax dollars that have been 'pissed' away on the Liberal Social Engineering Agendas. Think of them as the year ends, and a new taxation year begins, and the federal hand is once again in your pocket. For example, think of them when you pay GST on your home heating bill, as if heat is a luxury in this country to be taxed, will food be next? We are the highest taxed member of the G-7, the government has 'billions' in surplus funds yet refuses to give any of it back, or take any less from you. Canadians are sick and tired of filling the trough where these parasites feed. Canadians are in REAL danger of losing control of their country, to self serving bureaucrats and politicians. 2005 should be the start of change.. real change.. Not just another bunch of liberal lies proclaiming change that never comes. Think about it as the New Year Arrives.. Think about 'change', and THAT has to start with a 'really' NEW government sometime in 2005.)
Nugent fires off in 'God, Guns & Rock and Roll'

Rocker shoots from the hip in book about gun safety, right to bear arms

Ted Nugent is the hardest rocking outdoorsman out there. His tastes may not be for the stuffed shirts among outdoorsmen, but there is no ambiguity about where he stands on the issues. I'm not sure Nugent's book, "God, Guns & Rock and Roll" was the best outdoors or adventure book I read during 2004, but it surely does have the catchiest title. And it certainly is fun to read. Nugent is a proselytizing hunter who believes everyone in America should carry a gun and, above all, be trained to carry a gun. He is a true believer in putting meat on the table with guns that make the loudest bangs, in hunter-safety, and in wise gun-handling. "The rules are simple," he wrote. "All guns are always loaded and never point a weapon at anything you're not willing to destroy. All other safety talk is superfluous. Dad installed a safety lock on my brain." "God, Guns & Rock and Roll," is a wild ride with perhaps too many words in capital letters and too many exclamation points, but also with plenty of intriguing hunting stories, philosophies on teaching youngsters about the outdoors, and Americans' right to bear arms.(AND, Just What's Wrong With Capital Letters AND Exclamation Points!!!!! Ha... The book along with his cook book "Kill em and Grill em" would make great stocking..er..Stalking stuffers..)
Coke ordered to pay shooting victim $3M
SYDNEY - Coca Cola must pay more than $2.8 million Cdn. to an Australian man who was shot while restocking one of its vending machines, the New South Wales Supreme Court has ruled. Craig Pareezer sued the soft-drink company for negligence after he was wounded in the head, chest, stomach, leg and hand during a robbery attempt in 1997 in western Sydney. He had been attacked at the same site in 1995 and only agreed to go back to work when he was assured he would never have to work at that location. But two years later, when he made a stop at the site to cover for a worker who had been injured, he was attacked again. Pareezer's wife and son watched in horror as a thief shot him five times, piercing a lung and shooting off half his tongue. The court ruled that the company was liable for his injuries because it failed to protect him despite knowing vending machine collectors were targets for robbers. (Does this mean 'Banks' are liable if you are attacked at a ATM machine, which are also targets for Robbers.. I wonder if being shot on a Toronto City Bus would be also be grounds for a lawsuit.. After all, you do have the reasonable expectation of not being shot in Anne McLellan's Trudeaupian "Culture of Safety".  The Liberals have taken extraordinary measures to make sure you are always unarmed and defenceless. They also even go so far as to promote crime. They constantly preach to the potential victim: Don't  fight back, Obey the criminal, give him what he wants. It would therefore seem that the government is somewhat responsible for any injuries you might suffer because of their ongoing promotion of crime, while at the same time ensuring, under punishment of imprisonment, that you are unable to defend yourself. The right to security of the person, and all that constitutional bullshit eh!)
MP Steckle fires off answers to defend his Christmas card
"People say it doesn't represent Christmas," he says. "Well, the generic cards that Parliament Hill puts out don't tell a Christmas story, either. In fact, many of them don't even use the word 'Christmas.' They use 'happy holidays' and all sorts of generic terms." Steckle says he's heard other criticisms, too. And he's got a rebuttal for every rebuke. Somebody said the kids sitting on the all-terrain vehicles should be wearing helmets. Steckle's response? "Well, we weren't driving these ATVs," he says. "Get a life." Somebody told him the hats weren't coloured the correct shade of orange. "Well, I'm sorry," he says. "I don't make the cameras and I don't make the colours, but these are true hunting caps" that meet government standards. He says some critics wondered why the Steckles are standing in a cornfield. "Where would they expect to find wildlife?" he says. "I'm chairman of the standing committee on agriculture. What better way to depict where I come from? I'm a rural guy." (HooRaaay for Paul Steckle.. A Liberal with balls... If anyone has a scan of that card, please send it to me and I'll post it.. Liberalgunfarce@Yahoo.com)
HUNTING FOR MASCULINITY
Shari Hatt is talking about a picture she found. And right now it’s standing in front of her on the wall of a downtown gallery, blown-up to beyond life-size. It’s a disturbing image, showing a faceless man in an Arnold Schwarzenegger T-shirt holding a dead bald eagle, its wings outstretched and useless. It was photographed somewhere in North America, and depicts either a crime or a tragedy, a beautiful (and legally protected) animal made lifeless and grotesque. And maybe a symbol for our present political state. For Hatt, it fits in with her ongoing study of Western masculinity, which itself was inspired by her own family in Canada, where the men were active and unapologetic hunters. Trophy pictures of dead animals were common. Like other collectors of found photographs, Hatt unearthed the bald eagle image and others like it at garage sales and flea markets (though, unfortunately, many church sales and Salvation Army stores now remove snapshots from donated photo albums, citing privacy, to her horror). And, “Sometimes people give me things,” she says. (A horrible scene .. But it's FAR more likely this eagle was run over and killed by some yuppie in a SUV, than by a person with a firearm. I pity women like this, that no doubt come from a long line of parasites, living and eating off the skills and productivity of others. They condemn hunting, and men in general, until they are needed to kill something for them to eat of course.  A deer head mounted on the wall always gets the same dumb question from this type. "Did you shoot that".. Naw.. It was frantically trying to get off the road and avoid some soccer mom  in a mini van, when it struck the wall and got stuck!...)
Another 'shot' at the Registry!
Local MP Rose-Marie Ur is sticking to her guns in her continued opposition to the national firearms registry.
On Dec. 9, Mrs. Ur introduced a notice of motion in the House of Commons calling on the federal government to eliminate the requirement for the registration of long guns in the national firearms registry. “Putting a sticker on a hunter’s gun will never help to eliminate crime or violence,” she said in explanation of her motion.”It makes no sense to believe that it will. I am simply calling upon the government to acknowledge this fact.” Mrs. Ur’s motion, if passed, will call on the Department of Justice and the Solicitor General to immediately cease all actions designed to register long guns, which include shotguns and rifles.(It's highly unlikely the Liberals will suddenly acknowledge their horrendous mistake, and admit to wasting a billion (or two).. But this motion 'does' keep the heat on. Every little bit helps until this entire farce is repealed, and we go back to the old system that was cost effective, and worked. And 'that', is going to take an election, and liberal defeat. )
Michael Moore the Propaganda Pimp, is at it Again!
Rumors already are flying within the industry about Moore's moviemaking tactics. Moore, it is said, has hired actors to portray pharmaceutical salesmen who offer gifts to doctors who promote their products. There's also word that he's offered physicians $50,000 apiece to install secret cameras in their offices in an effort to document alleged corruption. In September, employees said that Moore was shoving a microphone at people at GlaxoSmithKline, Bloom notes, even though he was in town only for a radio appearance. "We have six business centers nationwide, all of which report `sightings,' " Bloom said. "Michael Moore is becoming an urban legend." Tentatively titled "Sicko," Moore's film will probably be released in the first half of 2006, sometime between the Sundance and Cannes film festivals. No deal has yet been reached, but an announcement is expected after the new year. There's interest in the industry, he says, on the part of some of the major studios and not just their specialty divisions.(Hmmm this may be a 'good' thing.. More and more people, companies, and industries are finding out just what kind of money grubbing liar this man really is.. They are also quick to discover that he does not make "documentaries" but creates his films in the cutting room, to reflect 'his' personal left wing agenda.. Anyone that believes 'anything' that might have been "documented" by this charlatan, should probably sit down and have a long hard look at their life. At that point, they should also do their best to find out why 'they' in particular, are so easily manipulated. Of course, it also tells you how few scruples there are in the film distribution industry. This time however, Moore is up against the 'richest' industry in the world.. Perhaps they will just have him killed!  Failing that, Moore is quickly becoming the 'fat boy' that cried wolf, and it looks good on him!)
Paul Martin! A 1st Year Accomplishment of ...Well... Nothing!
A year ago Paul Martin was condemning Jean Chrétien for governing too much from the centre, from the Prime Minister's Office. "Who do you know in the PMO?" would no longer be a key question under a Paul Martin government.  But that was before Martin suffered a majority loss in House seats. These days the Martin government has completely shelved its democratic deficit idea, and centralized planning from the PMO is more the norm than it ever was under Chrétien.  That's due to Martin's having an unruly caucus to deal with. Chrétien in his last term in office had a caucus made up of MPs who believed they were elected despite Chrétien. They believed they won because of Martin's popularity and that people wanted to see Martin get the top job. Now Martin has a caucus in which many MPs believe they were elected without much help from Martin or the Liberal brand. (Hey Paul Martin! A whole year has gone by and what do we have? Jean Chrétien Lite. A whole year of same old, same old.. The democratic deficit is just a large as it was before, How many free votes has parliament actually had? How's those helicopters coming there Paul? Still looking for 5000 Soldiers? Have you figured out how your shipping company managed to get all those 'millions' in grants yet? Has the gun registry saved that 'one' life yet? As you must know, that it's very hard to examine the new Liberal "Culture of Safety" now that the words "Duck and Cover" are back in vogue from the 50's and  60's and unfortunately they offer just about as much protection as they did then.. Have you got to the bottom of "Ad-Scam" yet, even though, it's common knowledge that the Liberals ARE at the bottom of "Ad-Scam" ? Has putting any money back into health care after previously removing BILLIONS, gained you any brownie points from the terminally stupid yet?  Didn't take you much longer than the length of an election  to renege on your East Coast Oil revenue promise did it? Is our "Coast Guard" actually able to "Guard" anything yet? Or don't you trust 'them' with firearms either!.. Still Manning the border with part time kids? Thanks to our 'enhanced' border security, we are safe from trained terrorists sneaking across to do us harm.. Now, we just have to apply the same 'enhanced' controls to the grade 3 educated Criminals, that have been arrested, and deported 5 or 6 times.. Good job 'their' not trained terrorists.. It was very gratifying to see you launch the inquiry into the gun registry cost overruns, and instruct your people to interview dozens of "stake holders" to ask for valuable input. Too bad 'most' of the results have since been made a 'Cabinet Secret' along with the cost benefit analysis. I wonder why that is? Is the 96 million that your government recently flushed down that sinkhole part of the 25 million registry spending cap you promised?  How many of those many, many, "Number One Priorities" you identified during the election, have been completed.. Or even started? And last but not least! Now that the Ontario Courts tells us that Liberal promises made during the provincial election,  are not really 'legal' promises, What are your plans for the 'next' election?)

Drugs for guns:' cop Washington state is No. 1 source
Between Jan. 1, 2003 and June 30 of this year, ATF agents traced 1,805 firearms recovered in Canada back to U.S. sources. Alberta accounted for 197 of those guns. Gun smugglers tend to take small shipments across the border -- often in backpacks and on foot -- said Det. Rick Buckley, NWEST liaison with the Edmonton Police Service. "They tend to be bought up by the drug dealers with the deep pockets, and usually within a few hours," he said. "Walking them across the border is easiest, but people bring them up in cars, ships -- even the mail." (Hmmm.. 1,805 guns traced back to their U.S. Sources.. and ALL without a 2 Billion Dollar Gun Registry.. Assuming of course that the criminal simply flouted the law, and never registered them here at all! Perhaps they did, and their "stickies" just fell off.. After all, what use would a 2 Billion Dollar Registry of  2 million Law abiding hunters and target shooter be, if it didn't control crime eh?)
When hunters see the future, they see women
Angela Ruble, 37, and her husband Jason, of Pittsfield, are tutoring their daughter Michelle, 11. Ruble does not want Michelle to miss out the way she did when her father and brothers refused to teach her or let her hunt with them. "It was always, 'The boys,'" said Ruble, who loves eating venison. "I think the next generation we'll see more and you'll see a bigger shift in two generations. These women are stronger."  Ruble said she has no tolerance, either, for the squeamish stuck in a Walt Disney-movie fantasyland. "I don't kill Bambi," she said. "I kill Bambi's mommy and daddy. I have it in my heritage. God put me at the top of the food chain for a reason." Ruble was climbing down from her 15-foot tree stand on her family's 140-acre property near the end of Illinois' second shotgun deer season, when she heard a noise. She froze. A doe appeared at 55 yards in front of two other deer. She fired with her 20-gauge and brought down the animal. Then on the other side of the clearing, a bigger doe led another herd into range. Ruble dropped her at 60 yards. Pounds and pounds of meat for the freezer.
For Angela Ruble, it was a very good five-minute hunting season.(To bypass the registration page this story re-directs you to. Immediately click your 'stop' button, and select 'print page' from the web site.. )
WHAT!!! We'll lose our funding!!
One gun-control advocate said the national gun registry could put a major crimp in the firearm black market - if Canadian gun owners would only learn to trust it. "Every illegal gun begins life as a legal gun," said Wendy Cukier, president of the Coalition for Gun Control. "I think the fact that the Alberta government has refused to enforce the gun registry sends a very bad message to the gun-owning public - that this is a law nobody needs to obey. "But that undermines the registry's mission, which is partly to make sure that guns owned by law-abiding Canadians don't end up in the black market." (Ya..Ya..Ya.. Blah..blah...blahh. Spoken like a person that would lose next years funding if the Liberals would admit it's a complete farce and pull the plug. Every criminal starts out as a innocent baby as well.. Perhaps Wendy feels we should all get that I.D. pellet injected under our skin, as soon as we pop out of the womb, after all, we have had such a great success tracking the family dog, and, if it only saves one life... A LOT of Guns end up on the black market because of the ridiculous firearms laws in this country. If some 'home dope' grower has a break in, and someone steals a dozen pot plants, is he going to call the police and report the theft? Not unless he's incredibly stupid.  Why? Because he would be immediately arrested.. Now consider someone with a few old forgotten firearms in the basement. If stolen during a break-in, and the owner was dumb enough to report it, this persons life would become a living hell as he was dragged through the courts for all kinds of trumped up charges, as the media describes a couple of .22's and a old shotgun as an 'arsenal', while reporting that his neighbours descibed him as a "quiet guy" and talked about how 'normal' his kids looked.)
The pseudo-science fiction of ballistics fingerprinting
Norman Inkster, former RCMP commissioner from 1987 to 1994 and president of Interpol from 1992 to 1994 believes Canada (nay, the world) needs firearms cartridge case registration. So called "ballistic fingerprinting" would require all firearms owners to submit their firearms to authorities for test firing in order to create a database of scratches, dents and rifling marks associated with a particular gun and a particular gun owner. The concept was developed by a Canadian firm who sell their software to gullible police departments in 31 countries (probably with grants from the Canadian government). The efficacy of ballistics fingerprinting has been disproved yet Mr. Inkster, ever the consummate bureaucrat, still champions the cause. Why doesn't ballistics fingerprinting work? Because simply changing four uncontrolled spare parts -- firing pin, barrel, extractor and ejector -- change the ballistic fingerprint totally;; there is no remnant of any original trace of the sample. Equally effective for those less concerned with the accuracy and collector value of their firearm is to spend a few minutes with a file on the affected parts and thereby change the "fingerprint".(What's so surprising about our gullible, firearms ignorant, learned all I know from T.V., politicians and bureaucrats accepting this fallacy? After all, aren't they the 'same' ones that advocate permanently identifying a firearm by having a 'sticker', that no criminal would ever take the chance of pealing off,  applied to the frame? Aren't they the also 'same' ones, have a great deal of difficulty telling the difference between a flash suppressor, muzzle brake, and a gasp.. silencer? They are also akin to the same political party that would ban pit bulls, but really can't pick one out of a group of pictures unless coached beforehand. But hell, what's another Billion Eh!)
The False Hope of Gun-Free Zones
Few people remember the school shooting in Pearl, Mississippi that took place in October 1997. Fewer people remember how it ended. This episode came to a close when Pearl High School Assistant Principal Joel Myrick sprinted a quarter mile to retrieve a personal handgun from his car and confronted the shooter who was unwilling to continue the attack against an armed victim.  Myrick parked so far away from the school to keep from violating federal gun free zone statutes. By the time the shooting spree ended, two students lay dead and seven others were wounded. Myrick's heroic defense of the children at his school was sparsely reported, going mostly unnoticed by the establishment media who were unwilling to report that he used a gun to end the mayhem and murder. They were also unwilling to ask the hard question - how many children died while Myrick sprinted to his car?(As with registration, licensing, etc.. Gun Free zones only insure the 'law abiding' will be unarmed. I wonder how long Gamil Gharbi (AKA Marc Lapine) would have lasted had even 'one' of his victims had a pistol in her purse. Or even one of the men that felt so helpless during the attack, and later committed suicide, had been armed. Gharbi's victims extended far beyond the walls of that school, and ALL were as much a victim of political correctness, as they were of Gharbi himself. Gun Free Zones NEVER insure that 'criminals' will be 'gun free' only the people that would never use them to commit a crime would be 'gun free' and subsequently dead as a result. The flawed thinking that 'everyone' with a gun is a danger to the public is a product of Paranoid, Liberal, Psychological Engineering. and has absolutely NO basis in fact.. Criminals are cowards, and if faced down by a armed business or home owner, the majority will slip away like the scum they've been raised to be! The remainder? Well lets just say the gene pool will be forever improved by the sudden discovery of a flaw in their victim selection process. In Canada however, this is a moot point.. Canadians are educated and trained from birth to be defensless fodder. THATS why Gamil Gharbi was able to kill with impunity. HE had the ONLY gun.)
Greens Concede Kyoto Will Not Impact 'Global Warming'
After a relentless attack on the United States for opposing the Kyoto Protocol, environmental groups concede the international treaty will have no impact on what they believe to be impending catastrophic global warming. Despite the fact that green groups at the U.N. climate summit in Buenos Aires called President George Bush "immoral" and "illegitimate" for not supporting the Kyoto Protocol, the groups themselves concede the Protocol will only have "symbolic" effect on climate because they believe it is too weak. Kyoto is an international treaty that seeks to limit greenhouse gases of the developed countries by 2012.  "I think that everybody agrees that Kyoto is really, really hopeless in terms of delivering what the planet needs," Peter Roderick of Friends of the Earth International told CNSNews.com. "It's tiny, it's tiny, tiny, it's tiny," Roderick said. "It is woefully inadequate, woefully. We need huge cuts to protect the planet from climate change."(Sure it's useless, sure it's a waste of money, sure it will cost thousands of jobs. But do you 'really' think all these 'facts' will stop 'our' liberals from pumping billions of YOUR tax dollars into yet 'another' bunch of 'feel good' legislation.. Not Likely.. The only thing that will stop 'this' next round of waste is for urban Ontario voters to grow a set, and vote these pigs away from the trough for good..)
OFAH supports MP Gallaway's motion to stop the bleeding of the failing gun registry
Over 80,000 members of Ontario's largest fishing and hunting organization are giving a standing ovation to Sarnia MP Roger Gallaway, the latest (but certainly not the first) Liberal politician disgusted by his government's own reckless spending on the gun registry fiasco. "The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters applauds Mr. Gallaway for speaking out against $1-billion in wasted tax dollars to fuel a program that does absolutely nothing to keep Canadians safe," said Mike Reader, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) Executive Director. "Mr. Gallaway has restored our faith in Canadian democracy and, hopefully, his political will and integrity may inspire other Members of Parliament to do what's right—vote against rampant government spending and scrap the national firearms registry." Since the early 1990s, when Canadians entered heavy-footed into the topic of gun control, the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters took a leading role in national protests to bring down schemes to register legally owned firearms. Mountains of petitions, media campaigns, letters to editors and politicians, a Supreme Court of Canada challenge as well as two Parliament Hill rallies were supported by the OFAH, which is still holding tight to the reins in the crusade to scrap the national firearms registry. "This past year, Prime Minister Paul Martin sat down with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, but following his minority-government election win, he obviously has not taken heed of the concerns of law-abiding gun owners which were presented in our meeting," said Reader. "We're urging Canadians to support the initiative of Mr. Gallaway, and his colleagues, who vote to stop the bleeding of the failing gun registry in the House of Commons," he added. (The only support left for this farce is from gullible, ill advised, left wing politicians and the people, or organizations, directly or indirectly funded by it. Everyone else KNOWS it's a waste, and contnues to exist ONLY because the Liberals will not admit it was a mistake, and they wasted a billion in the first place..)
Cleaners called to scene after the police leave
NEWARK, N.J. - No one really wants to see Timothy Carroll and his crew at their doorstep. But when he's needed, he helps grieving family members with a cleanup task they'd rather not even think about.  When someone is murdered or commits suicide at home, family members or friends are responsible for cleaning up. Carroll's Newark company, Tragic Solutions, specializes in removing the human residue after a death or shooting. (Canadians can take heart in the fact the Anne McLellan is crediting the gun registry for the drop in Gun Suicides, as well as gun murders in domestic situations. The overall statistics have not changed, just the methods. The Liberals feel that because women are now being bludgeoned to death and not shot, and suicide by hanging is now 'way' up over the use of a gun, their firearms control farce is a true success story..uh huh! )
SEVENTEEN FALSE CLAIMS ABOUT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE GUN REGISTRY
NOTE:  With one exception the following Liberal claims were made in an e-mail sent to all Members of Parliament on Monday, December 6, 2004 by the Hon. Roy Cullen, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety.(Leave it to Garry, to once again expose the liberal 'un truths')
U.S. Gun-banning firms take heat
Ronald Honeycutt didn't hesitate. The Pizza Hut driver had just finished a delivery when a man holding a gun approached him. Honeycutt wasn't about to become another robbery statistic. He grabbed the 9 mm handgun he always carries in his belt and shot the man more than 10 times, killing him. Honeycutt faced no criminal charges because prosecutors decided he acted in self-defense. But Honeycutt, 39, lost his job. Carrying a gun violated Pizza Hut's no-weapons rule. "It's not fair," says Honeycutt of Carmel, Ind., who found another pizza-delivery job and continues to carry a gun. "There is a constitutional right to bear arms. If I'm going to die, I'd rather be killed defending myself."(It would look as if Pizza Hut has no rules standing in the way of you being 'killed' at work! I remember, this happened a few years ago.. Right afterwards, some nitwit at Pizza Hut gave the media a public statement saying that 'they' did not approve of what Mr. Honeycutt did, thats why he got fired, and  'their' drivers don't carry guns.. Guess what happened next.. Yup, a whole rash of Pizza Hut Delivery guys got robbed... Who woulda thunk it..Eh!)
How a gun massacre changed Britain
For many of the other survivors and eye-witnesses there was also a huge sense of disbelief. Ken Hall watched as Ryan shot and killed the local taxi driver. He says: "I was thinking this is unreal. This can't be happening in Hungerford." Julie Jackson was shot in the back as she tried to help an elderly neighbour and remembers how she felt when she was taken to the ambulance. "It was just like a war zone. You don't expect to see bodies like we saw on that day," she says. On that August day and in the weeks to follow there was a sense of shock and terrible loss. But there was also a sense of confusion and insecurity. How could one man have killed so many without being stopped?(The answer to that is simple! The psycho was the 'only' one armed.. Had one other person in that town acquired the balls to go out and drop this asshole, the number of lives taken would have been 'far' less.. This follows the scenario of every mass killing by a psycho.. The psycho is the 'only' one armed.. Until that changes, consider yourself fodder.. An armed society is a polite society!)
Now that guns can 'make' you evil, even The Police are no longer trusted by the Governing Liberals
All firearms in a public agency’s inventory on September 30, 2005 must be reported to the Registrar by September 30, 2006. This does not apply to protected firearms that the agency intends to dispose of before September 30, 2006. The report of a firearm must indicate whether the firearm is an agency firearm or a protected firearm. (They must have dipped pretty deep into the liberal brain trust to find the moron that wrote 'this' rule.. If it does 'not' apply to protected firearms, why must they report on a form if the firearm is protected or not? Plus, there are numerous forms that must be filled in to loan, or move a firearm to anther department, to store in a dwelling, etc..etc..etc.. All it would seem, are directed to getting police off the street, and back at a desk pushing more paper solely aimed at keeping this bloated bureaucracy afloat. Facing massive non compliance from the public, with only 7 million out of 17 -21 million firearms registered, and 2 million out of 5-7 million owners licensed, they have to keep the paper moving somehow. After all, the grief industry has declared ALL guns are evil, even the ones carried by the police, something must be done.. Even if it only saves one life eh!  Now, that this farce is directly affecting the police and again highlighting the useless waste of manpower it requires, the rank and file may actually start to speak out against their political lobby group 'The Canadian Police ASSociation'  )
Taser-toting felons top self-defenders
A marketing campaign by Scottsdale-based Taser International urges people to buy its latest dartshooting stun gun "to safely protect your home and family." However, news reports from the last three years show more people are using electroshock weapons to commit crimes than to defend against muggers or rapists. In a computer database search, the Tribune found 11 national reports in which police said stun guns were used by criminals in attacks. Two other criminal cases, detailed in a Nov. 30 Amnesty International report, involved parents who shocked their children as a form of discipline. The weapons also are being used by criminals in other countries, with additional cases reported in the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan. Taser spokesman Steve Tuttle said the company’s statistics show Tasers are used in crimes "about two to three times a year" on average. Tuttle said Taser products have been used in self-defense situations, but he could not provide specific examples. He mentioned one case in January 2003 in which an Ahwatukee Foothills man used a Taser to help police hunt down a burglary suspect.(Well, isn't 'this' a shock! Criminals using a product 'banned' in Canada for self protection by the general population. Who would have thought eh? Maybe what we need is 'another' 2 billion dollar registry .. But wait! Only the cops are supposed to have them.. So I guess we should spend the 2 billion registering cops to prevent their 'misuse'. Except of course when they fry someone in a 'accidental discharge', because 'that' was clearly just an accident, and would have nothing to due with incompetence or stupidity would it!  And, How in the hell would one use a taser to hunt down a burglary suspect? Creep seeking charge?)
Snowbirds commander defends rescue reaction time
The surviving pilot called for help on his cellphone minutes after the accident. The timing of the rescue team did not aggravate his minor injuries, but it could have been worse, military experts told The Post. Three military helicopters that were on standby for such rescue operations were discontinued in the mid-1990s because of budget cuts.  "A base rescue flight is an absolute necessity for an operation like Moose Jaw," Lieutenant Colonel Laurie Hawn, a retired fighter pilot, told The Post.(I don't think 'any' member of the Snowbirds should have to 'defend' anything regarding this incident. However, one would think had 'both' pilots been severely injured, the lack of rescue helicopters would most likely have endangered 'both' their lives. As usual, when funds are tight, the first thing Liberals cut is the Military .. After all, when it comes to the military, Liberals are 'piece keepers' they keep a piece of this, and a piece of that. They may spell it different, but the piece they keep is usually worn out when needed.. Has anyone ever seen a Liberal Politician  fly in a SeaKing?)

Politics forces Yukon MP to vote for gun registry
WHITEHORSE - Yukon MP Larry Bagnell says he had to choose the Liberal Party line last week when presented with a chance to cut off funding for Canada's gun registry office. A Conservative party motion gave MP's a chance to vote on withholding money for the controversial firearms registry. Bagnell says he knows how Yukoners feel about the billion-dollar gun registry. "Some of them feel passionate against it that's why when we had the vote last year I voted against it," he says. But Bagnell says this time his hands were tied by party politics."You always vote for the estimates, you just always vote for all of them that is how the system works," he
says. (BULLSHIT!!! NO this isn't how it works..The original motion was brought forward by a liberal, but withdrawn upon the usual liberal threats of retaliation and punishment from Mr. 'more free votes' Martin. This is how it works when you vote a 'spineless' liberal into power..Several Liberal MP's voted against the registry. So don't listen to 'this' bullshit.. He voted the party line because he is a Liberal. And represents the Liberal Party, He does NOT represent those who were stupid enough to vote for him.. You don't like the registry, then VOTE CONSERVATIVE NEXT TIME, and get rid of it.. Along with the lying liberals..)
MPs cut Governor General's funding
Five Liberal MPs joined with opposition politicians to defeat the Liberal minority government's motion to restore funding to Gov. Gen. Adrienne Clarkson's budget Thursday night. The House of Commons voted 171-120 to uphold an all-party parliamentary committee's move to slash $419,000 from Clarkson's $19.1 million official annual budget. In a flurry of other parliamentary activity late Thursday night, Prime Minister Paul Martin's government survived three confidence votes which had the potential to put a quick end to this session and lead to a federal election. Two opposition attempts to cut $96 million in new funding from the much-maligned gun registry were easily defeated. The Bloc Québécois and some New Democrats voted with the Liberals against the Conservative Party motions. (120 Liberals voted to restore the feeding frenzy at the Gov. Gen. Office  These are probably the same 120 liberals that voted to continue the waste of the gun registry, along with the bloc, and 11 of the trough wallowers in waiting called the NDP.. Liberal means 'Liberal with your money' Heres the list of who voted yea, and who voted ney..)
The Fight 'will' go on!
Vowing he'll try again another day, MP Roger Gallaway (Lib-Sarnia-Lambton) has dropped his bid to cut funding to the national firearms registry. But his cause was immediately taken up by deputy Conservative Leader Peter MacKay, who said he'll introduce the same motion today in the House of Commons as Gallaway had planned. MacKay said Gallaway had "caved in" when faced with grief from his own party. Gallaway said this week he felt deceived by his own government, which predicted a net cost of as little as $2 million back in 1995. He said the motion was his means of registering displeasure. Gallaway was originally criticized for his attempt to cut funding by Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan who likened him to renegade MP Carolyn Parrish, whose criticisms of Prime Minister Paul Martin saw her expelled from the party. Gallaway called that comparison "astounding . . . (and) clear evidence the lady (McLellan) doesn't know what she is taking about." He insisted he was merely exercising his constitutional right to question government spending. Then McLellan switched gears, saying she was appalled a fellow Liberal would try to scrap the registry on the 15th anniversary of the slaying of 14 women in Montreal that gave rise to the firearms legislation in the first place. Faced with criticism from government members he says are "disconnected" from taxpayer concerns about fiscal responsibility and with the prospect of insufficient support in the house, Gallaway withdrew his motion.(Losing the vote does not mean Losing.. Every time this incredible waste of money is dragged out in public for all to see, another nail get driven into in it's coffin. It's only a matter of time. The only newspaper still supporting this farce to the public, is that left wing political organization, that masquerades as a news paper, called the Toronto Star. The only support they have left , comes from 'ultra' left wing politicians, directly involved bureaucrats, special interest groups 'funded by the liberals', and those too lazy, or ignorant to actually pay attention. It's beyond all comprehension why they just don't pull the plug and finally put "Rocks Folly" out of it's - and our - misery once and for all. The liberals are running out of excuses to keep this farce afloat. This, was clearly highlighted by McLellan's last feeble argument that has no logic, and based entirely on the emotion of insultingly linking again, this massive waste on the deaths of 14 young woman )
MP drops plan for showdown on gun registry
Ottawa — Liberal MP Roger Gallaway said last night he will drop plans that would have forced a separate vote on funding for the federal gun registry. Mr. Gallaway said he met with colleagues yesterday and decided to withdraw his motion because it had no chance of winning. But he added that he and the Liberal MPs who had backed his attempt to cut funds to the expensive and much-hated gun registry would renew the fight at another time. "Let me say to the people suffering the oppression of the National Firearms Registry that I'm disappointed," he said. "But it's not over yet. This law will die, and we have six months to get organized" before the next round of budget preparations. "It's doomed to death because it's fiscally irresponsible and it does nothing," he said last night. He said he met with Prime Minister Paul Martin yesterday but was not pressed to back down. "I did meet with the Prime Minister today; I was not in any way threatened; I was not cajoled. We agreed to disagree." He also took a swipe at the Liberal government. "We have a government that ran in the last election on fiscal responsibility," he said. "There is absolutely nothing fiscally responsible about this program. We have many members who are disconnected from what their constituents are telling them. "I just think there's a lot of stupid people on the front bench." (And unfortunately those people are not getting any smarter.. I had always told my students, that it was always possible to eliminate ignorance through education. But stupidity, that was a whole different matter.. Stupidity is genetic, if you are a liberal, you probably received the 'stupid gene' directly from your liberal parents. If you weren't 'born' a liberal, you may received your ration of 'stupidity' during many years of indoctrination through or educational system. Liberal teachers, many of whom have been in school  since the day they started kindergarten, actually 'believe' they live, and function in the real world. These teachers are chiefly  responsible for much of the liberal 'baggage' being dragged through our urban centres, resulting in Liberal votes based on a litany lies and fairy tales. And so the stupidity grows, unchecked.. At least until the next election.. )
Maverick Liberal MP a marked man
Some Liberals might argue that Roger Gallaway is his own worst enemy, but Warren Kinsella would probably nominate himself for the job. The maverick Liberal MP from Sarnia has enraged Jean Chretien's former political kneecapper over his plan to scrap the controversial $1-billion gun registry. In his popular Web log, Mr. Kinsella took particular offence that the proposal came in the week of the 15th anniversary of the Montreal massacre. "OK, tough guy, consider this: I have called around this morning. I can advise you that I have the war-roomer team ready, willing and able to defeat you, and all of your like-minded Parliamentary ilk, in every riding where a Liberal votes against his or her party to kill the registry. I'll have the dough lined up by this time tomorrow morning, too. Your move." There appears to be no room in this party for outspoken libertarians who would like to abolish the Senate and cut government funding to the CBC. Once a parliamentary secretary in Paul Martin's first Cabinet, Mr. Gallaway is likely to find his dance card as dusty as that of Carolyn Parrish in the coming months.(Ahh the Chrétien legacy of retaliation and revenge lives on with-in the Paul Martin Government.. And he said it was going to be different when he was in charge.. You didn't 'really' believe him did you?)
Editorial: Save the gun registry
(From the Trudeau Star of course)
The federal gun registry is a crucial investment in the safety of all Canadians. So it is puzzling that a Liberal Member of Parliament wants to scrap it despite evidence it works. Parliament is to vote tomorrow on motions by Roger Gallaway (Sarnia-Lambton) that would strip $96 million from the registry this fiscal year. If passed, these measures would effectively close the registry.Such a move would please those who say the firearms program, which suffered huge cost overruns in its initial stages, is a waste of money. But the real waste would be if the registry were forced to fold just as its utility is becoming clear.(And 'this' from a political organization, that calls itself a NEWS paper.. They sure don't depend on facts do they.. Nope it's all about emotions.. There is NOTHING in this "editorial" that contains a shred of truth backed up by any evidence at all.. As a mater of fact, I'll BET it was written by Wendy Cukier herself! It sure reads like it.. What a pile of manure)
Widow caught in firearms bureaucracy
WINNIPEG - A Winnipeg woman is angry that the Canada Firearms Centre continues to send licence-renewal forms to her husband, who died three years ago. Marilyn Day says all the paperwork is in order: the death certificate was sent in, and the guns were destroyed just after her husband's death. She has repeatedly phoned the firearms centre to tell them her husband is dead. Often, she is told to resubmit the paperwork. Last week, Day received another renewal licence and a series of forms in the mail. "When this final document came, I was furious. I was furious with everything that had to do with funding such a centre," she says. "The fact that he has been dead three years kind of pushed me over the edge." There have been other reports of deceased people still getting renewal forms, most recently in Edmonton. CBC called the Canada Firearms Centre for more details, but a spokesperson couldn't be reached.(Gee!! And they constantly tell us it working so well... Looks like the unavoidable in life 'has' become Death, Taxes, and The "Rock's Folly" Centre)
Cuba: Lessons In Gun Control And Medicine
A look at the history of Cuba should make us run screaming in terror from anything smacking of socialism. Brain surgeon Miguel Faria has laid it all out for those who will check out his book Cuba in Revolution. Faria is a refugee from Fidel Castro's socialist "paradise." He still has family trapped inside that socialist island prison -- a prison that has imposed draconian gun controls throughout the island. Any prison will attempt to achieve total control of guns and restrict their possession to just the guards. Well, it turns out that the most effective tool for gun control in Cuba is the poverty spawned by socialism. Nobody can afford a gun. Communist Cuba offers an interesting parallel to Nazi Germany. Both Hitler's Germany and Castro's Cuba were preceded by regimes that imposed gun control to keep guns out of the wrong hands. In both cases, gun control failed to keep the bad guys from getting all the guns they wanted and using them to consolidate their grip on power following seizure of the reins of government. Hitler took several years to disarm the population using gun registration lists, but Castro moved against private gun ownership the second day he was in power. He sent his thugs throughout the island using the gun registry lists -- compiled by the preceding Batista regime -- to confiscate the people's firearms. Different tactics, same objective. A defenseless people don't give the all-wise leader any lip.(And it's already strated in Canada! Vince Bevan the Ottawa Police Chief, has put forth another plea to 'save the registry' and in doing so, sited a long list of people that had been murdered by mostly long guns.. Unfortunately Chief Bevan has inadvertently pointed out two things.. If these were 'long guns' then the registry is NOT working is it? The other thing? That's the one common element, linking EVERYONE on his list of murdered victims. They were ALL unarmed. Had any of them been armed, they might be alive today.. Had ANY of those 14 young women not been prevented by the government from having the means to defend themselves, and their friends, Gahmil Gharbi (Marc Lapine) Would certainly not have killed as many, in all likelihood he wouldn't even have been there)
U.K.Tories back new Bill granting right to fight against burglars
The Conservative Party has thrown its full weight behind a new parliamentary attempt to win more rights for householders to protect themselves against burglars. His Bill will carry the full backing of the Opposition. Crucially, it will offer complete freedom from prosecution to anybody in his own home who takes any action against an intruder, as long as it is not "grossly disproportionate". This goes much further than the current law, which only allows householders to use "reasonable force", the meaning of which is unclear at best. Sir John Stevens, the outgoing Metropolitan Police Commissioner, voiced his support yesterday for giving the public the right to use whatever force is necessary to tackle burglars. Ranked number one in the list of Private Members' Bills, Mr Mercer's proposals will be given ample parliamentary time to become law within months. The Bill can only be blocked if the Government orders Labour MPs to vote against it. If ministers do so, it will open up a stark dividing line between Labour and the Tories on the key issue of criminal justice policy in the run-up to the general election, expected next year.
GUN REGISTRY PROMISES:  WHY SHOULD ANYONE BELIEVE THE LIBERALS NOW?
Who can believe a word Liberals say when they talk about the gun registry?  First, they promised Parliament that they would implement the gun registry for $85 million over five years and that the net cost would be only $2.2 million.  And remember when Justice Minister Anne McLellan wrote to the Toronto Star on July 19, 2001, saying that "user fees will cover the entire cost of the program”?  We all know what a best-selling piece of fiction that was. So who does Prime Minister Martin put back in charge of the firearms fiasco?  Anne McLellan of course, the Minister responsible for making most of the mistakes and for wasting most of a billion tax dollars.  Last Wednesday, in response to our questions, Minister McLellan said the firearms program is “up and running” leaving anyone listening to believe that the program is fully operational.  But just this past Monday, the government provided the House of Commons with its latest promise that the firearms program won’t be fully implemented until December 31, 2007.  That’s more than 12 years since the Liberals rammed Bill C-68, the Firearms Act, through Parliament.  Do you believe them?  We don’t!(Well, I guess we just have to ask ourselves "Have they ever lied to us before"? Do you think their "Trafficking in Fictions"? What if it "only  saves 'one' life" ? Is it "For the children"? Are we enjoying our "Culture of Safety"? Are we glad that we are no longer  TAXPAYERS,  but  "CLIENTS"  of the liberal government? To put into perspective the feeling of the Liberal government on spending money to REALLY promote safety, I will Quote Gerry O'Keefe, a former petty officer 2nd class who left the navy last August after 23 years, regarding his first impression of the Liberal bought Submarine Chicoutimi, then called HMS Upholder: "Sweet mother of God, they want us to sail in this?!" Yup they sure do Gerry.. Unfortunately it was one of those Liberal ideas that helped to starve defence, in favour of "duck hunter control" and "What if it only costs one life"?..)
Controversial gun registry will survive vote to scrap it, parties predict
OTTAWA (CP) - The much-maligned gun registry will survive an attempt to strike it down in the Commons later this week, sources from all major federal parties predicted Monday. Those predictions came on the same day as top federal officials cringed at the timing of a dissident Liberal MP's plan to engineer the program's demise.
"Today . . . we remember in the most tragic and poignant way the challenge we face as a society as it relates to violence against women," said Deputy Prime Minister Anne McLellan. "I would be disappointed if anyone (proposed scrapping the program) - but particularly disappointed when that person comes from the government and the Liberal party." The motion by Ontario Liberal Roger Gallaway to strip the program of its funding was expected to fall flat Thursday because most MPs continue to support the costly registry. But Gallaway's efforts earned him a rebuke nonetheless from the office of Prime Minister Paul Martin. "This would strip Canada of the tools we use to deliver effective gun control," said Martin spokesman Scott Reid. "The certain consequence would be that Canada would have weaker rather than stronger gun controls than those in the United States.
But a program that was initially supposed to cost $2 million has ballooned to well over $1 billion. Only the Conservatives appear poised to offer their full-fledged support to two Gallaway motions that would strip a total of $96 million from the program this fiscal year. Backing from the 99-member Conservative caucus means the motion would, with a full House of Commons, need about 56 more votes to pass. "If you do the math, I don't think it passes," said one Conservative, echoing remarks from colleagues in other parties. All of the Bloc Quebecois' 54 MPs are expected to vote against Gallaway's motion, as will the majority of the NDP's 19-member caucus. Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe said all his MPs would toe his party line while NDP Leader Jack Layton said he will let his members vote freely on the issue. One NDP source not only predicted the survival of the gun registry but also lashed out at the timing of Gallaway's initiative. "It's so stupid. . . . It seems to me that the timing is in bad taste," he said. "(But) if the Liberals keep their people together, we're okay." One well-connected Liberal MP predicted only 10 to 15 of his colleagues would support Gallaway, saying "They won't have enough." Gallaway could not be reached for comment Monday. (If the bloc support ends up being the reason that this ballooning farce continues, then it should be Quebec that funds it. Straw polls from one end of the country to the other say Canadians, that's you and me, taxpayers all, say scrap it. It's a waste. To continue this useless politically correct farce, only shows how far removed from normal thinking our politicians actually are. When Left wing urban politicians pick 'feeling safer' over actually BEING safer, and in the process direct even more funds from front line policing god help us when 'we' are attacked. The RCMP have already said that if the possibility of a terrorist plot were to surface, they may not have the manpower or support to prevent it. The 2 billion wasted on Rocks Folly 'could' have saved a lot of lives.. One can only hope, that when the vote rolls around on Thursday the ongoing waste will be stopped.. I doubt it, but stranger things 'have' happened.. )
   Liberal MP targets gun-registry vote
Ottawa — A group of Liberal backbenchers has the Martin minority government on tenterhooks over their plans to vote this week to scrap the controversial $1-billion gun registry. Sarnia Liberal MP Roger Gallaway, who is leading the charge, has served notice to the Speaker of the House of Commons that he wants a separate vote on the funding for the National Firearms Program when the House votes on spending estimates Thursday. Mr. Gallaway's initiative, combined with Prime Minister Paul Martin's fragile minority government, could result in the death of the contentious registry, which has seen costs balloon from a promised $2-million to reports of more than $1-billion. "Everybody supports gun control," Mr. Gallaway said in an interview yesterday. "The question is: Can we support this version of it?" Still, some Liberals have concluded from Ms. McLellan's reaction to Mr. Gallaway's move that there is concern the program could be struck down.  Mr. Gallaway said that "people who find this a preposterous act can only say so because of their inability to debate the issue." The source said Mr. Martin and his ministers debated at cabinet whether to whip the vote -- that is, require all cabinet ministers and parliamentary secretaries to vote together to approve the funding. It does not appear that cabinet discussed whether to make the vote one of confidence, which would mean the government could fall if the funding is not approved.  The Liberals have 133 votes in the Commons; the Tories have 99; there are 54 Bloc MPs, 19 New Democrats and two independents. It is likely the Tories would support Mr. Gallaway and vote against continuing to fund the registry. However, it is not clear where the other parties are on this. It is believed that Mr. Martin would have the support of Bloc and the NDP MPs, and therefore would have the numbers to ensure the program continues. The gun registry has been a difficult program and issue for the Liberals since its inception. Last year, the Liberal caucus exploded over the issue after a report by Auditor-General Sheila Fraser said that implementing the program will cost more than $1-billion by 2005. Promises were made in 1995 that it would cost only $2-million after the fees from licencing and registration were recovered. "This was never part of a Throne Speech. This was never a fundamental program of government," Mr. Gallaway said yesterday. "This was just something that appeared in 1995. So it's not about doing in a department or doing in Via Rail or something . . . but it's rampant government spending at its worst."  (This ridiculous program continues to exists for two reasons, and two reasons only. And thats Liberal embarrassment, plus the inability to say they have made a mistake and wasted almost 2 billion dollars. It will probably survive this vote yet again, but only because it is politically correct, not because it's of any use what so ever.. The ONLY way we are ever going to be rid of this farce, is to be rid of the Liberals, and their wasteful ways that generally reflect only 'political correctness', and not true value for money spent.)
Time to let people kill burglars in their homes, says Met chief
Householders should be able to use whatever force is necessary to defend their homes against criminals, even if it involves killing the intruder, the country's most senior police officer said yesterday. Sir John Stevens, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner, said those who defended their families and property should only face prosecution over injuries to intruders in "extreme circumstances", where they could be shown to have used gratuitous violence.I'm not talking about guns but people being allowed to defend themselves and use whatever is necessary to defend themselves against someone who may well be armed with a knife." There should be a presumption in law "that the person using the force to defend themselves is acting within the law, rather than the other way round". Even if a struggle led to the death of an intruder, Sir John added, the law would presume that the person in that house had acted lawfully "and let the law change that presumption because of fact in evidence". He said: "The message it sends to the would-be attacker is, `Do not think you can come into people's homes and people will not defend themselves with the right type of force that's necessary.' At the moment it seems it's the other way round."(Canadian police tell the 'victim' "Don't fight back. Give the criminal what he want's". My feeling is 'Give the Criminal what he deserves'. Someone defiling the sanctity of MY home, and physically threatening me or a family member, is going to be carried out, properly ventilated. ANYTHING that would happen to me, inflicted by our politically correct government in retaliation for not dying as I should have. Would be insignificant, and of little consequence. Providing, I was able to protect my home and family from one of these government sanctioned assholes. Probably in this country illegally anyway.)
Regulations Supporting the Firearms Act Have Been Amended(again)
The Canada Firearms Centre continues to work with Canadians and its public safety partners to promote the responsible use and ownership of firearms. Almost seven million firearms have been registered and close to two million firearms licences have been issued. This represents a compliance rate approaching 90 per cent. Since 1998, law enforcement officers, including police and border services agencies, have queried the Canadian Firearms Information System more than 3.5 million times to support them in fighting crime and protecting the public. In addition, the Government is reducing the overall cost of the Program.(Blahh..Blahh..Blahh.. A perfect example of the three types of government lies.. The lies it tells the public, the lies it tells parliament, and the lies it tells itself.. I'll repeat it again! If a punk will pull out a handgun, and shoot two people on a bus in front of 40+ witnesses, how the hell can forcing a 'duck hunter' to licence himself, and register his shotgun, keep that punk, or any another punk from doing exactly the same thing. It would 'seem' that... lo and behold.. the Punk is not deterred by the fact he does not have a licence, or his gun is not registered.. Remember, the Liberals are STILL pouring your tax dollars into this flawed farce to the tune of over one hundred and twenty MILLION dollars a year., and THAT'S just the amount they admit to.. This whole farce, is 'really' a liberal exercise, in trying to discover just how stupid the public 'really' might be!  So far, they can identify the level of stupidity, just by counting their votes.. They certainly had a lot less votes in the 'last' election didn't they.. Perhaps the public is gaining some wisdom after all..)

Changes to gun registry will make transporting a weapon easier
(It's the same story as above, but the good old CBC wants to make people jump to the conclusion that the government is making it easier to carry a gun around.. Not So... At least not until they get rid of that redundant scrap of paper called an ATT.. And, if you look at the little picture of the PAL, what is that firearm description line that says NOT VERIFIED.. Hell, virtually nothing in the registry is verified anyway.. The vast majority of their CFC brownshirt squad has come to their senses, and gave it up.. Remember, Friends don't let Friends become Verifiers.. )
Former chief legal adviser defends Disney oversight of Ovitz's gift giving

In his third day on the stand, Sanford Litvack, Disney's former chief of corporate operations and chief legal officer, said he didn't believe Ovitz did anything improper in giving gifts to clients of Ovitz's former talent agency Creative Artists Agency, such as a $325 US antique to actor Dustin Hoffman and a firearm given to director Robert Zemeckis. "Every one of the expenses you've pointed out I would have approved," Litvack said. "They were reasonable. They were related to the business of the Walt Disney Co." (Horrors!!!! And I'll just bet that was the smoking gun that offed Bambi's mother too...hahahaha.. It's really, really, nice to know that even 'Disney Corp.' feels there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with giving firearms as gifts.  but I'll bet it has urban Disneyites cringing all over North America... )
The Face of Liberalism
Author Les Hartley begins with a small lesson in political behavior from an extremely unusual source that leaves the reader questioning exactly how far humans are removed from the rest of the animal kingdom.  Next, he delves directly into discussing the use of collected human knowledge and wisdom, social change, gun control, modern sexuality, entertainment, race relations and other issues that decorate the modern political and social scene.  He has something to say about all of them, and none of it is good for the target.  His points are difficult, if not impossible to refute, despite that he does not provide footnoted sources for his contentions.  But then again, his object is not to argue but to indict, and indictments do not require proof.(And it's not a pretty face at all!!)
Man pleads guilty to dealing guns without federal license
Sandy Christopher Dunn, 32, purchased guns in Tennessee that authorities later traced to crimes that occurred in Michigan, said officials with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Some of the guns also wound up in Canada. Although prosecuted in a Nashville federal court, Dunn's case involved a battery of investigative agencies, including Metro police, Michigan State Police, the Canadian Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit in Ontario and the ATF. Despite Monday's guilty plea, federal agents say there are many details about Dunn's case they cannot yet discuss because the investigation is ongoing. ''I can say it started with gun-crime traces from Michigan,'' Ronald Turk, assistant special agent in charge of the Nashville ATF office, said yesterday. ''There were guns that came back to him.'' Those guns put Dunn into the sights of ATF Special Agent Patrick Hand.(And the 'interesting' thing here, is that the U.S. can trace all those gun back to the supplier and arrest him WITHOUT a billion dollar liberal boondoggle involving licences, registration, and blatant bullshit)
Postal Regulations
The US Postal Service has just recently warned Americans that parcels that do not display the complete name and address of both the sender and the recipient in Roman Letters, that’s ABC etc., and Arabic Numerals, the old 1, 2, 3 system, are being denied entry into Canada. Distressingly parcels sent to this country are being delayed because they have to be inspected by the Canadian Border Services Agency. Despite the hiring of additional staff, some packages have been held up for five weeks before clearing customs. It would seem that security consciousness has mutated into a security obsession and the Christmas season ushers in the silly season at Canada Post. The asinine gun registry has taught us nothing. Criminals don’t register their guns anymore than terrorists are going to put their proper names and addresses on any parcels that pose a threat to our security. Every over-reaction to nine-eleven such as this simply chalks up one more victory for Osama Bin Laden.(Yes you are correct, but this country is run by Liberals! They truly believe that Registering your gun, and putting your return address on a package is a major step in reducing crime! How? Well, they haven't told anybody that yet, but if it saves only one life..etc..etc..etc.. Remember a return address back to a empty lot, or abandoned building is 'still' a return address that keeps us all safer.. and it IS a return address, so the parcel will be ushered right through because it 'has' one! A criminal or terrorist, after all, wouldn't dream of using a phoney address.. Why it would just be 'un-liberal' of them.. )

It is anticipated that all components of the firearms program now planned or under development will be fully implemented by December 31, 2007.
In response to the May 20, 2004 announcement by the government, funding for the Canada Firearms Centre will decline to $85 million in 2005-06 and beyond. This amount does not include indirect costs incurred by other federal departments. It does not include revenues from firearms licensing and other fees that are collected over the course of the fiscal year. (Adding up the expenditures that the government actually admits to, (and of course, not all the hidden ones we know nothing about ) The total is a staggering: One Billion, Six Hundred and Fifty Eight Million, Three Hundred Thousand Dollars. That's $1,658,300,000.00. or 1.6583 'Thousand Million Dollars' NOW, they say it will 'drop' to 85,000,000.000 dollars per year to operate.. Remember, this was a program that Allan Rock pitched to the gullible Liberal caucus as only going to cost two million dollars, ($2,000,000.00) TOTAL.. after licence and registration fees were collected.. That's over Eight Hundred Times the amount of the original lie.. And All for Absolutely NOTHING in return..  Well maybe not 'nothing', I'm sure that as in most other Liberal schemes, their 'Friends' and 'Supporters' did not walk away with NOTHING!)
$20 M FOR FRONT-LINE POLICE BLOCKED BY LIBERALS, NDP & BLOC
“The gun registry ignores the real gun problem in Canada – CRIMINALS!”
Ottawa – Saskatchewan MP Garry Breitkreuz, Official Opposition Firearms Legislation Critic, was disappointed that Liberal, NDP and Bloc MPs on the Commons Justice Committee ganged up to defeat his motion to transfer $20 million from the gun registry budget to front-line police priorities.  “It’s sad that petty politics continues to take precedence over police and public safety priorities,” said Breitkreuz.  “The evidence of the gun registry’s waste and ineffectiveness is overwhelming.” Debate of the Conservative Party’s motions to reduce the gun registry’s estimates by $20 million and transfer the money to the RCMP started last Wednesday and ended in defeat late yesterday afternoon despite convincing arguments put forward by Breitkreuz and Peter MacKay, Deputy Leader and the support of Justice Critic Vic Toews and Finance Critic Monte Solberg. “No matter how damning the evidence is proving the ineffectiveness of the gun registry, the political parties that support it just continue to bury their collective heads in the sand,” said Breitkreuz  We’ve always known that convicted criminals and proven-to-be-dangerous individuals were the real problem, but the entire Firearms Act is aimed at the wrong target; namely, completely innocent, law-abiding hunters and sport shooters,” he added. “Canadians will always wonder how many lives could have been saved if this billion-dollar boondoggle had been spent on real police and public safety priorities.  The sad fact is that yesterday’s vote will have us all asking the same question after the second billion is long gone,” warned Breitkreuz.(4 Liberals, two Block Heads, and a NDPer, have all agreed that the gun registry should continue the horrific waste of your tax dollars because.. well... its politically correct.. And again, the Liberal government is not publicly forced to admit it just wasted well over a billion dollars on this farce! As for it's 'liberal claimed' ability to keep guns out of hands that should not have them? The Toronto Police tell us there are at least 40 recent TTC bus riders, and one 11 year old girl who might disagree with the liberals on that point, providing of course that she survives. Feel Safer yet? )
From Charismatic Carnivores to Slithery Serpents -How Predation Keeps Nature Whole
My favorite advice for hiking in grizzly bear habitat goes like this: Avoid surprising bears, especially sows with cubs, by carrying a whistle to blow when moving through brush where visibility is poor. Also, tie bells to your pack. Finally, be alert for signs of bears -- like large turd piles with whistles and bells in them. Conservation biologists call big predators like bears, wolves, and mountain lions "charismatic carnivores," a term that reflects the love/hate nature of human attitudes towards those powerful creatures. We cuddle with stuffed bears and turn lions into noble cartoon characters or steadfast marble guardians for our libraries but if you see one in the wild it's usually been shoot first and ask questions later. Lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) can, after all, eat you. That rarely happens. In the United States and Canada in the 1990s, 29 people were killed by bears. During the same period, 250 were killed in dog attacks. You are 12 times more likely to die of a bee sting than a bear attack. In the entire history of America, only one person was killed by a wolf, a rabid one at that. While hiking in or near wilderness, you are forty times more likely to be struck by lightning than attacked by a mountain lion. And yet our fear of top carnivores is as primal as our admiration for them. (Looks like being shot in a Canadian city has a higher average than being eaten by a wild Whinnie the Pooh.. )
Conservative motion to cut budget for federal gun registry defeated
OTTAWA (CP) - An Opposition Conservative motion to cut funding for the controversial federal gun registry was defeated Monday. Garry Breitkreuz, Conservative vice-chairman of the all-party Commons justice committee, moved that several million dollars be cut from the $25-million annual operating fund for the troubled registry. However, the motion was defeated by a vote of 7-4 at a regular committee meeting. With a minority Liberal government in Ottawa, opposition MPs often outnumber Liberals on many Commons committees. However, opinion on the gun registry doesn't always follow party lines. Spending on the program has already been fettered after its ballooning budget embarrassed the government and gave rise to demands from the Opposition Tories to scrap it. Last spring, the Liberals capped its operating budget in a pre-election announcement. The registry was originally budgeted to cost just $2 million when it was introduced by then-justice minister Allan Rock in 1995 to help stem gun violence. The government of the day said most of the actual $119-million projected cost for the program would be recovered through registration fees, leaving only $2 million to be covered by taxpayers.(Is there any doubt 'now' that public safety is NOT the priority of either the Liberals, the NDP, or the Block? They have basically said they value this farce of a liberal boondoggle over increasing border security, and taking criminals off the streets by clearing the HUGE RCMP DNA forensics backlog of cases.. Political correctness and the 'feeling' that registration of duck guns somehow keeps them safer.. Unbelievable... Ask the family of the 11 year old girl who got shot in the head on a Toronto bus by gang bangers if  'they' feel safer knowing that money will not be redirected from this farce to REAL crime control and putting down these gangs. The money will instead be used to continue the harassment of  law abiding firearms owners.. I.E. duck hunters and target shooters, while continuing to level insignificant sentences and punishment to criminals actually USING firearms to commit crimes. The asshole that shot that little girl should get no less than 20 years in prison, and THEN be deported back to what ever third world county he crawled out of.. But nope...  Not in Liberal Canada.. Even if caught, he will be back on the street in a few years. If deported, the sieve we laughingly call a border, will offer little resistance to his eventual return. And the worst part? Don't expect anything to change, until we get the 'group hug' mentality out of our government, and judicial system.

Silence aids gun crime
Shots ring out on a crowded bus. Their intended target, a 28-year-old man, falls with three bullets in his body. An 11-year-old girl falls, too, with a bullet in her head. Both are victims of a ruthless gunman firing in anger after an argument developed Sunday at the back of a Toronto Transit Commission bus. Both are in danger of being victimized again — this time by witnesses who were on that bloodstained bus but fled and haven't come forward to tell police what they saw. Brazen gun crime presents a growing threat in Toronto. It is remarkable that not even the presence of 40 witnesses stayed the shooter's hand in this most recent incident. Those who remain silent in the face of such conduct become part of Toronto's festering gun problem, and not part of the solution.(Perhaps NOW might be a good time for the Liberals that voted to keep pouring money into the "Registry of LAW ABIDING gun owners" instead of redirecting it to REAL crime control, to explain why someone willing to shoot someone else IN FRONT OF 40 WITNESSES ON A PUBLIC BUS would be even be remotely deterred, by requiring a firearms licence, or the need to register the gun? What has the duck hunter registry DONE to curb "Toronto's festering gun problem"? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT'S WHAT!)
