GUN CONTROL:
Liberal Thinking: The few people who can't use martial arts or other non-lethal means of self-defense--the young, the old, the infirm, the disabled, the weak, the small, and the pregnant--are simply the necessary sacrifice we must make to criminals, to avoid the risks of letting people be armed.

The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund
(Re-Printed from the Firearms Digest)
Today three Dryden, Ontario, residents established a trust fund to assist
Bruce Montague in obtaining good legal counsel to carry the fight against
the unjust Firearms Act all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund is now ready to receive donations.
In fact, Anthony Nickel of Dryden made the first donation two days ago !!
Please be generous as you pull out your checkbooks
To launch the first public appeal for funds, Donna Montague will be attending the gun show in Kenora to tell  of  the 36 hour "home invasion" which she and her children endured at the hands of the OPP and the Ontario Special Weapons Force. Jack Wilson & I will also be present to distribute Support Your Rights and Freedoms literature at a table very graciously provided to us by the local Kenora gun club and to assist in the collection of funds. We all are indebted to Dryden bush pilot Dan Baron (aka The Red Baron), Roger Nordlund, a local auto repair mechanic, and Willie Cheslock, a financial advisor with Nesbitt Burns, for volunteering to manage the Fund. Please send your donation made out to the

-Gun Control, Working as 'Expected' In South Africa-
SAPS failing to curb number of firearms

"The new legislation implemented this year is aimed at eradicating illicit weapons and controlling the issuing of licences for legal firearms," Selebi said.  But firearms legal expert Martin Hood disagrees, saying the legislation will encourage the proliferation of illegal guns. "Law-abiding citizens who want a firearm because of high crime levels will turn to illicit weapons for protection, increasing the demand for illegal weapons," said Hood. Hood said an increased demand for illegal guns could possibly result in an increase in gun-theft related crime. "We may have a situation in which we may see an increase in crime on civilians and the SAPS with the specific aim of procuring weapons," he said. Hood also pointed out that the majority of weapons destroyed by the SAPS were legal firearms. "Illegal firearms do not comprise a significant portion of all weapons destroyed," he said. Chandré Gould, who was involved in researching and compiling the GFSA/CCR report, said that the perception that violent crime in South Africa was on the increase could create a demand for illegal weapons.(Does this mean Wendy gets 'another' free trip to S.A. ? After all, gun control has had the very same effect in the U.K., and now Canada's number of criminal held firearms is multiplying tenfold. The government persecutes the former law abiding, who are 'now' criminals because when Law 'Enforcement' in Canada say "Your Papers Please" there are none to show. The ones that 'do' have "papers" to show, are tracked and recorded with every move, while those banned by law from having firearms are of no interest what-so-ever to the government. Their Criminals, their 'going' to break the law, and they usually break enough laws so they can plea bargain the firearms charges away anyway! So, why waste time constantly watching them? Instead the government goes after the 'paper less' hunter who has broken no other laws, and consequently has nothing to bargain with. The result? A Government press release telling folks how they got a firearms conviction, and 'another' bunch of guns "of the street", but never of course mentioning that the guns they got, were never, have never, and never would have been "on the street" in the first place. It's all about defending government waste, and trying to convince the 'sheeple' their doing their 'political' best to "fight crime" and garner votes from the stupid and unaware. )
Is Common Sense Starting to Prevail In Crime Ridden U.K. ?
The rights of people to defend their homes have been highlighted after a judge said he could not criticise a man who shot and wounded a burglar. Kenneth Faulkner, 73, who had endured a number of break-ins at his isolated farmhouse in Ockbrook, Derbys, has not faced any charges. The burglar he shot, John Rae, 22, was given a seven-year jail term on Monday. Now a number of groups are calling for the laws about confronting intruders to be clarified. Passing sentence on Rae, Judge Andrew Hamilton said he was "an absolute menace" and it was right that Mr Faulkner was not prosecuted over the incident. The case follows the death of Robert Symons who was stabbed to death by an intruder in his London house on 20 October. It also echoes the Norfolk farmer, Tony Martin, who was sent to prison for the manslaughter of a burglar. Mr Martin's friend, Malcolm Starr, says the law must be changed to protect the homeowner. "The bottom line on this is that the victim is the householder ": Roger Gale, Conservative MP(The law abiding householder' is 'always' the victim. Whenever a government makes self defence illegal, it only opens the door to more crime, and more victims. It's always important to remember as well, that the people who pass these laws are invariably protected by armed security, or police. They are basically saying that 'YOU' are not worthy of the same protection, unless 'YOU' are one of the elite, or 'in their eyes',  lives 'worth' protecting! It only stands to reason, that now in the U.K., some government 'ass' will launch an appeal in this case, for no other reason than to keep the peasants in their place, and solely dependant upon illusory security that in fact, will probably never arrive in time!)

BrownShirt PosterTHE CFC 'BROWNSHIRT' PROGRAM IS BACK ON
Friends don't let friends become 'verifiers'
We are looking for individuals who are knowledgeable about firearms and are willing to volunteer their services as a verifier to firearm owners and businesses in their community. If any members of your club or range are interested in becoming approved verifiers, they may contact the Verifiers’ Network at 1 800 731-4000, ext 1052 for more information. Training, support and some resource tools will be provided by the Canada Firearms Centre.(Want a quick trip to jail for making a 'error' in verifying a firearm? Join the CFC 'Brownshirt' program,  helping to insure the future loss of ALL your firearms..  Just Like the one they abandoned before, this program is particularly suited to those that have a  mental condition that requires the feeling of  'importance', or 'recognition' in people that do not have the prerequisite mental attitude/education to be a police officer, or soldier. Plus of course, they want you to do this for free because their only 2 Billion over budget for a harebrained plan that has never worked 'anywhere' on the planet.. A plan that 'could' have bought and installed hundreds of MRI's while saving lives right across this country.. Is health care 'really' another #1 priority from Martin? or is it simply 'Peasant Control' and Squandering Tax Dollars? ALSO, don't forget to ask your "verifier" if he or she is a police officer before allowing them in your house. That in itself can open you up to all forms of potential problems)
Troubled gun registry could face further cuts
The program was fettered in May when the Liberals capped the registry's annual operating stipend at $25 million in a pre-election announcement just before the writ was dropped. That doesn't mean it won't get another long look under the reallocation exercise being conducted by Revenue Minister John McCallum. "From his point of view, it's certainly on the table,'' said McCallum spokesman Shane Diaczuk. And a senior government official said the gun registry will almost certainly be open to negotiation this fall. The program will be "tough to defend because no one can say it hasn't been botched,'' said the official. It could survive, "but has to be changed.'' The minister himself was studiously neutral about the program in an interview with The Canadian Press last week, stating that "at this point, I'm not ruling anything in or out,'' of the expenditure review. Pushed to clarify, McCallum politely declined. Garry Breitkreuz, the Conservative MP from Yorkton, Sask., who has been leading the political fight against the long gun registry, said any expenditure review that fails to address the program would lose all legitimacy. "If something goes 500 times over budget, can you think of any other program that should be at the top of the list?'' he said Saturday. "This should be No. 1 in their expenditure review. "Not only did it go way over budget, it's not returning the benefits they said it would.'' The Conservatives campaigned on a promise to scrap the gun registry altogether, saving $25 million to $100 million annually that the party said could be used to hire more RCMP and pay for a sex-offender registry.(With the Liberal dictatorship firmly in life-support, their is no rhyme or reason to maintain this wasteful farce. NO lives are being saved, but it 'has' cost a few. People are being jailed for 'not having their papers in order'. The Supreme court was WAY off base when it said the Federal government should be responsible for firearms. PROPERTY is the responsibility of provinces. and CRIME is the responsibility of the federal government. ONLY when a firearm is used in a crime should the feds be involved. And ONLY dealing with the CRIME, not the tool used, whether it be a firearm, or the much more commonly used 'blunt instrument or knife'. The government shills have said the registry was 'on the table' before, and NOTHING happened, and it still wastes millions of dollars every year. Liberals only talk, the opposition parties MUST band together and eliminate this useless waste once and for all, NO bullshit, NO 'liberalspeak' just get rid of it. )
Gun registry loses $46M to backlog
But Garry Breitkreuz, a Saskatchewan Conservative MP and one of the gun registry's harshest critics, said the decision to confer free licence renewals "is another example of poor planning by the Liberal government," which should have anticipated the renewal glut. "Did no one in the Liberal braintrust ask themselves what they were going to do when all these firearms licences came up for renewal in five years?" David Tomlinson, a member of the National Firearms Association's executive committee, said he suspects the automatic renewals are part of an effort to reduce costs in the short term so that the CFC does not have to ask the government for millions of dollars to cover its ongoing expenses. "Every spring, they ask the government for $115-million to pour down the black hole of badly run gun control, so this year they will be able to ask for a number that's a little smaller," he said in a telephone interview from Edmonton. "This had nothing to do with reducing a workload, and everything to do with lowering operating costs. They painted themselves into one hell of a corner." The free renewals, which normally costs $60, will affect the majority of registered possession-only gun owners. Of the 1.3 million people registered with a "Possession Only Licence," 770,000 of them will get a break on the application. The 700,000 people registered with a "Possession and Acquisition Licence" will not be affected and will have to apply for a renewal as regularly scheduled. There are about 7 million guns registered in Canada. Gun owners in British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories and the Yukon who are receiving free renewals had their notices and stickers mailed out this week.(This postponement of renewals will only add to the number of Canadians in Non compliance with this wasteful farce. The POL that cost them $10.00 is going to cost them $60.00 to renew. The old widow that wants to keep grandpa's shotgun, will have to cough up $60.00 or be raided by the 'goon..er..gun squad. Providing of course, she was one of the minuscule numbers that even bother to 'confess' she had a firearm in the house.. There are FAR more unregistered firearms belonging to un licensed owners in this country than the paltry numbers the liberals lie about.)
Another Private Members Bill That Makes Sense
Prince Edward-Hastings MP Daryl Kramp introduced his first Private Members Bill, “An Act to Amend the Criminal Code (Consecutive Sentence for use of Firearms in the Commission of Offence),” in the House of Commons October 18. “This bill ensures that sentences for the commission of certain serious offences are supplemented if a firearm is used,” Kramp stated. “Violent crime will not be tolerated in Canada and only through stiffer penalties will we guarantee the safety of the Canadian public.” The Act calls for additional sentences to be served consecutively with minimum punishments of: • Five years imprisonment if the firearm is not discharged;
• Ten years imprisonment if the firearm is discharged; • Fifteen years imprisonment if it is discharged and as a result a person, other than an accomplice, is caused bodily harm. Kramp continued, “As a former OPP officer, I have dealt with victims of violent crime and crimes involving firearms. I have seen first-hand how families have been torn apart by these senseless acts. Unlike the government’s $2-billion gun registry debacle, I am confident that these measures will provide a real deterrent to gun crime.” The bill is a re-introduction of Bill C-434 from the 38th session of Parliament, with minor amendments regarding the lengths of the consecutive sentences. (The 2 Billion dollar gun registry, was never brought in to deter crime (although they say it was ) but rather was designed to deter firearm ownership, shooting sports, and hunting  in general.. Although it doesn't say, It's highly unlikely that 'this' MP is a liberal.. Perhaps common sense will start to prevail in our parliament )
'Dubious' projects funded in Liberal ridings, says former ACOA boss
"Dingwall was insatiable, and the projects were of increasingly dubious merit. Eventually I suggested that he sign off on the projects. Not surprisingly, he was anxious that public servants take responsibility for 'economic development' projects that included refurbishing the Sydney waterfront, a chair in tourism, a new student residence at the local college, and a variety of forestry projects that ACOA did not fund in any other province."
Dingwall's defeat in the 1997 election ended his 17-year career as a member of Parliament. He is now head of the Royal Canadian Mint. Earlier this year, his name started coming up in connection with the federal sponsorship scandal. Chuck Guité, the former bureaucrat who ran the program, told a parliamentary committee that Dingwall once congratulated him for keeping a discreet silence on how he used to operate under the Mulroney Tories.
"You won't rat on them, you won't rat on us," said Dingwall, then the public works minister, according to Guité's testimony. (Well, isn't that the Liberal credo? We don't "Rat" on each other, just keep plundering the public purse! After all, the dim bulbs in urban Ontario keep re-electing them, so why not make it profitable for friends and supporters... How grateful was the Prime Minister to this "insatiable" trough wallower? It would seem that Dingwal was 'worth a mint' to him.. How soon 'is' the next election anyway?)
Copps's health care claims dismissed
Copps, who left politics this spring after a bitter nomination battle in her Hamilton riding against Martin stalwart Tony Valeri, is explicit about Martin's intentions in her book. "When I saw the reference to the Canada Health Act and the proposal to abolish it, I knew this was political dynamite," Copps writes. "For a Liberal government to be doing this was a betrayal of our basic principles. I went to Martin with my concerns but he shrugged them off, saying it was too late, because the budget had already gone to print." Not to be stopped, Copps says she forced the former finance minister to do a last-minute rewrite of the budget which was sent to her home fax machine at midnight on the day before its release. "The offending words had been removed, but it was clear the fight for the Canada Health Act had only just begun," Copps writes. (Well, this should be easy to verify! Surely, she wasn't the 'only' disgruntled liberal to see a copy of the budget before it went to print. What about Chrétien? He was pretty disgruntled, and this would be the perfect opportunity for him to sink the good ship Martin!)
Mr. Garry Breitkreuz (Yorkton—Melville, CPC) moved for leave to introduce Bill C-235, an act to amend An Act for the Recognition and Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and to amend the Constitution Act, 1867.
Mr. Speaker, the government's legislative record of intruding on individual property rights is appalling and this is the reason I am reintroducing my property rights bill today. Protection of property rights needs strengthening in federal law because they were intentionally left out of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. My bill would make up for this grave omission by strengthening the property rights provisions in the Canadian Bill of Rights. Court case after court case has proven that Canadians have no protection whatsoever to the arbitrary taking of property by the federal government. My bill would also require a two-thirds majority vote of this House whenever the government passed laws that override fundamental property rights, such as the species at risk act, the cruelty to animals legislation, the firearms act and the Canadian Wheat Board Act. (Motions deemed adopted, bill read the first time and printed)(Third times a charm? Is there a chance this time? All it would take is for All the opposition parties to agree that Canadians deserve the RIGHT to own property. We know, that the Liberals as a whole are against private ownership 'rights' as they have voted this down every time it has come up in the past. Perhaps we will 'now' find out if there is 'any' chance for democracy left in Canada!)
More Firearms Charges Against Dryden Man
OPP in Dryden say they uncovered a huge cache of firearms and ammunition hidden in a secret room in the basement of a local residence. They've laid 23 additional charges against a 45 year old man who was first charged last month with six firearms-related offences. While executing a second search warrant at the residence of William Bruce Montague, OPP say they discovered over 100 guns, 25,000 rounds of ammunition, explosives materials and prohibited weapons including a Uzi pistol submachinegun, a sten gun and a semi-automatic assault rifle with a silencer and barrel-mounted laser site. Montague, who appears in court next month, is known as a vocal opponent of the federal gun registry.(The Link below is less 'hype' but 'this' media hype is amazing!!! The police discovered a hidden room..hahahahaha.. Bruce actually TOLD them where it was, because they couldn't find it! Many, many collectors have over 100 guns, and WalMart has more ammunition in plain public view than Bruce had. Bruce has also been a gunsmith for a long time, and every firearm he had would have been 'obtained' legally. There is no such thing as a 'semi automatic assault rifle' assault rifles are full auto, or burst fire. The 'silencer' may have only been a flash eliminator because 'anything' on the end of a barrel seen by the ignorant, is a 'silencer' (which is only illegal in Canada by the way). What explosive materials? Smokeless powder?
And last but not least, there is no law against a laser sight either mounted on a barrel, or in a construction level for that matter.. this is a non issue.. Note, that if the police could not find his gun collection, it, and everything else in that room must have been  safely stored. Probably even EXCEEDING government regulations.. Bruce is a victim of the Liberal parties Canadian Gun Farce, and the erosion of many constitutional rights, even some granted under the United Nations that the Liberals seem so keen to support..Except when it interferes with their 'control' of the general population.. Man helping lead gun law challenge faces additional weapons charges
DRYDEN, Ont. (CP) - Police have laid additional weapons charges against a man who actively sought arrest so that he could challenge Canada's gun laws in court. William Bruce Montague, 45, will face 23 additional firearm, explosive, and weapons charges when he appears in court Nov. 15. Police said they found a hidden room off the basement when they searched a home for a second time last month. Inside were more than 100 firearms, 25,000 rounds of ammunition, and a number of prohibited devices, including over-capacity magazines, silencers, and a modified crossbow, police said. Among the weapons was a semi-automatic assault-type rifle, an Uzi pistol submachine-gun, and two sawed-off shotguns. Police said they also seized explosive-related materials, including electrical and non-electrical detonators, a detonator cord, and several manuals on making homemade explosives. Montague, a gunsmith and an Ontario representative of the Canadian Unregistered Firearms Owners Association, is helping lead a court challenge against Bill C-68 - the federal gun control legislation that requires the country's gun owners to register their firearms. He was released on bail from police custody Sept. 21 after being charged with six offences. Montague, who has participated in rallies opposing the legislation, has said he was trying to get arrested, and was looking forward to taking the firearms charges against him to court. "I was trying to get arrested the past 20 months," Montague said in an interview in late September. "This is the first (firearms) charge with any meat on it. We're looking forward to taking it in front of a judge."(Wow!!! A 'Modified' Crossbow.. I wonder if that's as dangerous as the usually reported 'Large' crossbow? After all a 'Large' crossbow must be goddam HUGE? But, perhaps 'this' one was only "modified" to to increase the 'draw' and accent the 'point' of liberal stupidity. Were the 'shotguns' actually 'sawed off' or simply short barrelled? There is also no law against a factory manufactured 'short barrelled' shotgun providing it's 'overall' length is legal. Of course, news stories such as these are usually written for the ignorant and easily led..).
Whistleblower protection more image than substance
When federal gun registry costs skyrocketed from $200 million to $1 billion, why did no government employee come forward to alert the public to the spending mayhem? Why did no public servant take action to address the out of control Quebec sponsorship program? After all, we know, thanks to Commons committee testimony last spring, many were fuming at the way money was being thrown around. The list of scandals and boondoggles that have emerged thanks either to access to information queries or media scrutiny is lamentably long. The tainted blood scandal. The Human Resources Development Department debacle. And the latest -- Ottawa losing track of $500 million a year through errors in Employment Insurance payouts. Where the heck are all the public employees who see this stuff on the inside? Aren't they taxpayers, too? That's where so-called whistleblower protection comes in. It's tough to spill the beans; there can be reprisals.(There has never been a government more aggressive, vindictive, and  fiscally reprehensible than the Canadian Liberal Party.. They will leave no stone unturned when retaliating against someone who has held them up to the light, in full public view. Just ask the past president of the Business Development Bank, who put a stop to a high risk loan 'encouraged' by Chrétien, who may have been owed money by the potential recipient.. This is NOT a government in power to serve the 'people' , unless it would seem, YOU have perhaps, have made a large donation to the Liberal party. )
Americans seeking Ontario flu vaccine
KINGSTON, ONT. - Some health units in Eastern Ontario say they're getting daily requests from Americans wanting flu shots because of a shortage of vaccine in the United States. Their requests are putting Canadian clinics in an awkward position, because provincial rules prevent them from offering help to the Americans. The medical officer of health in Kingston, Dr. Ian Gemmil, says U.S. residents have been calling his health unit since last week. "We're getting many, many phone calls from Americans asking about vaccine availability. Some people seem absolutely desperate to get vaccine," Gemmil says.(It's truly unfortunate that the Americans are in such short supply of flu vaccine, and we have lots of it.. Perhaps our Government can negotiate a deal.. We ship them the vaccine, and they open their borders to OUR COWS, and stop the needless political harassment of our beef farmers because of 'ONE'  F'n Cow!!!!)

Poor career choice
Serial robber wouldn't do it again...(Not in the U.S.A. anyway!)
"A lot of my banks are unsolved," he boasted, admitting the two convictions put him in prison for about 25 years. Antill, whose criminal history also includes mail fraud, was diagnosed in May 2003 with colon cancer. That was about the time he began planning to rob a bank in Canada for two reasons -- because Canadian banks carry more money and the Canadian justice system is more lenient, he said. "Your banks are fat," he said, adding he expected a payday of between $250,000 and $500,000. "You can't get that money off a teller. You have to get the vault." (Uh..Huh.. And how many other criminals are enjoying the 'lenient Canadian justice system'? Why beef up the liberal thinking 'Just-Us' system, when the 'clear' target for two billion in spending is all those un-registered  'duck hunters' and their shotguns!)
The blades of death
The knives are out on Edmonton's streets, but police say there's little they can do to prevent "epidemic" numbers of blades being carried - and a huge increase in stabbings. In 13 of the city's 22 homicides of 2004, the victims died after being stabbed. Only six were shot.  And this year, the number of stabbing calls attended by city paramedics has risen above an average of one a day for the first time. Emergency medical services had already responded to 274 stabbings at the end of August - compared to 18 shootings - and the figure is expected to reach nearly 400 by Dec. 31. (Perhaps Anne McLellan should take this opportunity to tell us again, how her two billion dollar registry of duck hunters and target shooters has made everyone so much safer? )

Teaching a new generation to duck and cover
Do code-red drills for schoolchildren protect them from armed intruders or just instill fear?
It is a sign of the times that schools are practising lockdowns -- a 21st-century take on sixties' bomb drills when schoolchildren dived under desks to protect themselves from the fallout of nuclear attack -- as they have fire drills for years. "We do fire drills all the time, and a child hasn't died in a school fire in North America in 25 years. But since 1996, 44 students and seven principals and teachers have been killed in shootings," Insp. Allen said. "So, there really is a need for these drills. There's no such thing as a safe school, but there's a prepared school. It can make the difference between one child being shot or 10 being shot, if the school is prepared." But when statistics show no more violence in schools now than there ever was, are schools doing more harm than good with lockdown drills that could play to the fears of children who already conjure the bogeyman lurking in every dark corner? "Why not train them on what to do if they're struck by lightning? It's more likely to happen," said Jane Sprott, a criminologist at the University of Guelph. "Schools are one of the safest places for kids. There's no evidence of schools being totally unsafe or armed intruders breaking in or something like that. The statistic in the U.S. is that you're more likely to be struck by lightning than being shot in a school, and it's likely much more rare here."(The biggest danger, is that schools are of course, defenceless areas. If there is 'really' a danger, it would be far better to train and equip those in charge, with the means of 'defending' the school against those that would do harm. When the misfit is assured that 'they' will be the only one with a firearm, then their success is virtually assured. Just ask the Russians and the parents of all those dead children! It's NOT the firearms that cause problems, it's the mental defectives that have them.. If you feel the school officials are not trustworthy with firearms, then they are not trustworthy PERIOD! Or your simply just manipulated by the government to be overly paranoid, which is usually the case! As well all know, nothing can control any population as successfully as fear!)
BREITKREUZ FINDS SERIOUS SHORTCOMINGS IN WHISTLEBLOWER ACT
“I was first elected to the House of Commons in 1993. I thought when I came here we would get the information that we need to do our job. I have become disillusioned. I was wrong. The government has done its best, or in this case its worst, to keep me and every member of this opposition in the dark,” protested Breitkreuz.  “In the past 11 years, I have filed 496 access to information requests.  They come back and there are more blanks than there is information.  Information has been hidden from me and by extension all Canadians.  Why?  Because government is covering up some of the serious problems that exist behind the scenes.  I believe public servants are afraid to give me the documents I am requesting. They are afraid they might be fired, demoted, red circled, or punished in some other way if they release documents that are an embarrassment to their minister. That is not right.  We need to do the opposite. We need to encourage public servants to share the truth with members of Parliament. A good bill to protect whistleblowers would go a long way in alleviating the fears of public servants,” predicted Breitkreuz.(General liberal disregard for 'access to information' has become systemic. Information is usually only released when they are forced to, and even then it's rarely complete. This government has been hiding so much, for so long, that's it's now common practice to simply deny records exist, or they purposely don't keep records because they know some information 'will' come back to bite them on the ass. 2/3 of Canadians DID NOT vote for this government. They are in power by default, and have NO mandate. THIS is why the electoral system of this country must be revamped and finally made democratic)
Are They Now Pointing the Finger At the Crew?
Hatches left open before blaze
Water filled room 90 minutes before panels exploded Wave crashed over conning tower as crew fixed drain
"Everything got soaked. We were mopping like crazy."About an hour later, a light in the motor room indicated the submarine was experiencing a "grounding fault" — a flow of electricity to a spot where it shouldn't be going. As the team searched for the fault, electrical panels on both decks started popping. Crew members describe fire racing down walls as though following the path of electrical wires. What one sailor described as a "domino effect" of mishaps seems to have started with a water drainage problem on Oct. 4, the day the Chicoutimi set sail from a Scottish port on its first transatlantic voyage.A wave brought water into the opened upper hatch of the conning tower, which accumulated in the compartment above the closed lower hatch. A drain that was suppose to evacuate that water failed to work. So the crew had to open the lower hatch, allow the water to seep into the sub, and mop it up. The drainage system was then repaired. The next morning, an engine kept stalling but was quickly repaired. And a defect was spotted that prevented the upper hatch of the conning tower from closing in a watertight way. A crew member climbed up to fix it. Then the wave came.(Imagine that, a defective hatch & drain! A Submarine that will short out when exposed to water! For anyone that has ever owned a British Car, the fact that weird british electrical systems were always a pain in the ass is no great revelation..  I wonder who's scrap pile is next in the ceaseless liberal quest for 'good military junque'? Perhaps there's some rusting old helicopters or ancient fighter jets we could use... Oh.. Wait a moment.. We already have some of those. What we also have is a plethora of politicians far, far  removed from 'any' military experience, that seem to be making all the decisions in what seems to be 'insider junk trading')
BREITKREUZ ELECTED VICE-CHAIR OF COMMONS JUSTICE COMMITTEE
“We have a unique opportunity to direct taxpayers’ money into areas that are real public safety priorities for taxpayers.”
Ottawa – Saskatchewan MP Garry Breitkreuz has been elected as Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness.  “I’ve been on the Hill for eleven years and this is the first time I’ve been elected as vice-chair of a standing committee,” commented Breitkreuz.  “The Justice Committee  will be very interesting because the Liberals no longer hold a majority.  Consequently, the Liberals no longer control the committee’s agenda or the outcomes of every vote.”
Indeed, government members already lost a vote that will see the Liberal government’s parliamentary secretary excluded from steering committee meetings, reported Breitkreuz.  “The first real test for the Justice Committee will be during our review and votes on the Estimates.”  The 2004-2005 Estimates for the Department of Justice and the Department of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness were referred to Committee last Friday.  “The votes to watch will be the ones related to the under-funding of the RCMP Forensic Laboratory Services, particularly DNA crime scene analysis, and over-funding of the Canada Firearms Centre,” predicted Breitkreuz.  “We have a unique opportunity to direct taxpayers’ money into areas that are real public safety priorities for taxpayers – not the political priorities of the Prime Minister.” Breitkreuz concluded that it is quite rare for a non-lawyer to be elevated to a leadership position on the Justice Committee.  He appreciates the respect shown to him as a reward for his years of hard work on justice issues, and he made a special commitment to improve government legislation as it is reviewed and amended at the committee. (For the first time in a generation, democracy 'might' again be in the forefront. Dictatorial majorities of political parties, particularly those of Trudeau and Chrétien, have left Canada in a shambles. Hopefully, this is the start of making things 'right')

Breitkreuz Still Looking for Answers to These Questions
Since 1995, what have been the actual public safety improvements achieved as a direct result of the Canadian Firearms Program and Firearms Registry including: (a) the number of violent crimes solved; (b) the number and type of violent and non-violent charges laid; (c) the number and type of convictions obtained; (d) the number and type of firearms seized from criminals; (e) the reduction in the total number of homicides; (f) the reduction in the total number of domestic homicides; (g) the reduction in the total number of suicides; (h) the number of lives saved; (i) the respective reduction in violent crime; and (j) the number of firearms returned to their rightful owners?(The answers all add up to 'ZERO' of course, but the quest is getting the Liberals to finally admit the Firearms act (C-68) is by far the largest, most useless, most draconian piece of work to ever get 'Lied' all the way through the Liberal dictatorship into law, in the entire history of this country! This act was promoted by liars, defended by liars, and is currently supported by the ignorant, blindly following their own self interests, while being supported by government funding. If the government CAN'T produce verifiable answers to Mr. Breitkreuz's questions, then there is no reason for this legislation to continue sucking funds from Canadian taxpayers.)
Sex Offender Gets 50 Years To Life For Attempted Rape And Murder
NEW YORK
-- An ex-convict and registered sex offender with a 40-year history of crime was sentenced Thursday to 50 years to life in prison for trying to rape and kill a woman who fought back so fiercely her fingernails were ripped off. State Supreme Court Justice Edward McLaughlin, who heard 68-year-old George Augustine's four-day trial without a jury, convicted him on Sept. 15 of attempted murder, attempted rape and second-degree assault. After declaring Augustine a predicate felon on Thursday, the judge sentenced him to 25 years to life on each of the counts, with two of them to run one after the other and one to run at the same time.

"I personally believe we are dealing with a person with an uncontrollable and dangerous disease who is to be pitied," the judge said as he imposed sentence.(Now if this asshole was a Canadian, in the Liberal 'Just-Us' system, he'd be back on the street in 5-10 years or less.. Consecutive sentences? Our courts don't even know what they are.. Canada, the home of the two, or more, for one crime sale! And,  where the where the right to defend yourself only applies when your un-armed.)
Ho Hummm They've Done it Again!
OTTAWA (CP) -- The federal government confirmed Wednesday that its tax intake massively outweighed spending in the past fiscal year -- producing a budget surplus of $9.1 billion. The surplus for the year ended March 31, the seventh annual surplus in a row, was almost five times the $1.9 billion the government originally forecast.
(Again, the liberal government has stuck it's hand up somebody's ass, and pulled out 'another' bunch of billions they can now waste on more irrelevant, liberal feel good crap, like the gun registry.. These 'magical' surpluses are not only predictable budget after budget, but are actually becoming boring! Steven Harper 'said' this would happen, and he was right.. Again.. The simple FACT that the "tax intake massively outweighed spending", only shows that Canadians have been massively over taxed for years by these bastards, seems to be lost on them.. Remember, Paul Martin  SAID  Steven Harper's proposed Tax Cuts were irresponsible. I suppose that Paul Martins Plan to continue this unwarranted theft is NOT?)
Canadian flag flies at half staff
What a glorious autumn morning it was to bring the country to its knees -- even if it lasts only a day or so.
Bright sunshine, blue skies, temperatures in the teens. As far as Dario Gritti is concerned, however, the striking Public Service Alliance of Canada has the taxpayers of the country on its side this time -- the spectre of scandal after scandal in Ottawa, and all the lost or squandered billions, giving the public some sympathy for the union's cause. AdScam, HRDC, the gun registry and now, as the Canadian flag flies at half staff over the Revenue Canada edifice on Front St. to reflect the needless death of Navy Lieut. Chris Saunders, there is that sad and stark reminder of the $750 million given to the British to buy four rust-bucket subs.(What 'I' would like to see, is a statement from Lt. Saunders family requesting to NO LIBERAL POLITICIANS attend the funeral. I think they've done enough to this family already!)

U.S. denies Canadian murderer transfer to B.C. jail
SEATTLE - A Canadian man imprisoned in the U.S. for the murder of a 13-year-old girl has had his request for a transfer to a B.C. jail rejected. John William Medlock is serving a 26-year sentence for brutally murdering runaway Rebecca Hedman in Spokane in 1993. He was seeking a transfer from a state penitentiary in Walla Walla to a jail in Port Moody in order to be closer to his mother. Canada's Department of Justice had already approved the move. But Washington state governor Gary Locke said on Monday that Medlock would stay put. Locke said he worried that Medlock could be released years earlier in Canada than if he served out his sentence in Washington. If Medlock were transferred to Canada, he would be eligible for parole because he has served more than a third of his sentence. "I simply cannot permit this," Locke told the SeattlePost Intelligencer.Medlock won't be eligible for release in Washington State for at least another 12 years.(Good for the Washington State Governor. This piece of scum should get out about the same time the little girl has her life back...  A transfer to Canada would indeed put this trash back on the street. And of 'course' The Canadian Department of Just-us would approve this, because in Canada, the Criminals rights ALWAYS come FIRST. Let him stay in a U.S. prison till he rots.. We'll ALL be safer.. Particularly our kids..)
It Will Be the Death of Liberalism
There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has--or wants to have, and may soon have--the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world, unless it is prevented from doing so. France, Germany, and Russia, have been selling these Islamics nations weapons technology at least as recently as 2002, as have North Korea, Syria, and Pakistan--paid for with billions of dollars that Saddam Hussein skimmed from the "Oil For Food" program administered by the United Nations with the complicity of Kofi Annan and his son. The Jihadis, or the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs.  They believe that Islam, a radically conservative (definitely not liberal!) form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world, and that all who do not bow to Allah should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated.  They want to finish the Holocaust, destroy Israel, and purge the world of Jews.  This is what they say.(And Canada's response is to stick it's 'liberal' head in the sand, pretend that nothing is wrong, and do it's best not to prepare the military, but to spend 'billions' taking guns away from duck hunters.. When the liberals 'do'  spend money on the military, they leave no stone unturned searching the worlds scrap yards for discarded equipment that won't make them look too aggressive on a world stage.)

Guns used in killing gangsta cool
That's the amount of time between the time a gun is picked up after a crime and the time it was first manufactured. Ten years is about normal. With guns floating around for years, if you want a gun, you
can probably get a gun, Det. Horwood said. "I hate to say it is easy. How difficult it is, it depends a lot on who are you connected with," he said. Crooks "are always coming up with ways to obtain them. Gun trafficking is a crime of opportunity. They see an opportunity and they get them." Gun use by criminals has remained stable in London the past two years, but in Toronto, the number of guns seized in drug busts has soared 600 per cent in the past two years, Toronto police noted in January. Gun trafficking has become an even more lucrative business than it was when Larry Braxton was selling his Lethal Weapons in the early 1990s. A gun that costs about $200 to $300 in the U.S. can go for $700 to $2,000 in Canada, said Det. Sgt. Gary Keys, head of Toronto's
guns and gangs task force.(Read this, then tell me again how the 'firearms act' is working to keep guns out of the hands that shouldn't have them)

Liberals dodge a bullet
The Liberal government lives to see another day after the Conservatives and Bloc Quebecois "blinked" just minutes before a Commons showdown that could have sent Canadians back to the polls. The three sides worked out deal to water down a provocative Bloc amendment to this week's throne speech that the PM had said was unacceptable and would be considered a matter of confidence in his shaky minority government.  Martin said the outcome is proof that a minority Parliament can work. "Democracy is messy," he said. "And democracy takes a lot of negotiation." (Democracy could indeed become messy! After all, this IS the first one we have had in Canada in almost a generation!)
Gun Shop Debuts Credit-Card-Sized Shotgun
CCShotGunMINNEAPOLIS -- In a new twist on the idea of concealled weapons, a local gun maker and gun shop are debuting a new type of firearm: one that could almost fit in your wallet. A new twist on the idea of concealable weapons, the credit card-sized shotgun, is shown at Koscielski's Guns and Ammo, the only gun shop in Minneapolis. It's a two-shot weapon made from a piece of metal the height and width of a standard credit card, and about a half-inch thick. Each barrel fires seven standard steel BBs. It will retail for $100. "This I can see being the ultimate self-defense weapon," said Mark Koscielski, owner of Koscielski's Guns and Ammo, the only gun shop in Minneapolis.(Well!!! Stick 'that' in your wallet, a man could actually blow is own ass off!!)
Time To Disband Canada’s Military Armed Forces?
Canada’s infantry and army coverage in times of crisis is an absolute joke, numerous administrations including the previous one led by Jean Chretien have gone out of their way to decimate the various army divisions. Canada will be one of the first Western World nations that I’m aware which plans to completely eliminate and phase out its military tank division in 2005/2006. Add to the fact that we have soldiers being sent out in basket case desert real estate throughout the Middle East dressed in bright green uniforms so they can be picked off one by one. It’s so bad in fact I had someone tell me a story about dumping paint on a uniform and then rolling around in the sand so that it would stick and dry onto the uniform acting as a poor man version of camouflage. Oh and by the way stories have been appearing in various papers that the training facilities in which new soldiers are trained are doing so without bullets for the machine guns.(No, it's time to MAKE the liberals pay attention to what's good for Canada, 'instead' of the usual 'what's good for liberals'. And, if we can't do that, then Canada has to REJECT that party, and all that it stands for. The sooner the better!)
Exporting violations draw fine
The government alleged that on 275 occasions between April 1999 and July 2001, Midway exported scopes and mounts to Canada without proper licenses. It further alleged that Midway committed similar offenses on 93 occasions between May 1999 and September 2002 in exports to Argentina, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Finland, Mexico, the Philippines, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, and Uruguay.(Oh!!! And what about those little scopes that sit on the side of astronomical telescopes to pinpoint star locations? Their operation is IDENTICAL to the scope of a firearm.. Is it that they simply 'touch' the firearm, and 'then' become evil?)
Canadian submariner dies despite rescue bid
Halifax — A British tug pulled alongside HMCS Chicoutimi off Ireland early Thursday as the race began to attach a line to the crippled, fire-damaged Canadian submarine. A British defence spokesman said weather in the area was expected to improve Friday before deteriorating again on the weekend. “So there's a very narrow window and it depends very much on how quickly a tow can be attached,” Lieutenant-Commander Richard Walley said from the British Defence Ministry in London. The tug's arrival followed Wednesday's unexpected death of an officer on the sub, which was on its maiden voyage to Canada with a crew of 57 when an electrical fire knocked out power to the boat Tuesday.(And 'another' piece of 'crap' bought by the Liberals in an effort to make people 'think' their are doing something about the sad state of our military's equipment. How many Canadian Sailors will die in these rusty, rebuilt tin cans? How long will it be before the death toll matches that of the number lost in SeaKing Crashes.. As for the Sub? I just hope they kept the receipt!)
Police warn of armed, dangerous man
A violent bank robber who escaped from Fenbrook Penitentiary near Gravenhurst last Friday is possibly in the Toronto area and armed with a military-style shotgun, police say. Richard Douglas Brewer, 37, was serving a 31-year sentence for armed robberies and weapons offences and was not to be released until 2019.
Fenbrook is a medium security prison that was opened in 1998. This was his second escape, according to Detective Greg Sullivan of the ROPE (Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement unit). He escaped from a minimum security institution in 2001. Sullivan said the means of escape this time "is still under investigation. He didn't show up for roll call," the ROPE spokesperson said. "Somehow, he managed to get himself out of the institution." Police suspect that it was Brewer who robbed a bank in Windsor on Monday and another bank in Kitchener yesterday. (Good grief!!! I wonder how someone gets a 31 year sentence for armed robbery, and others are out in 10-15 years for murder? Did he get in caught bed with the judges wife? And, WHO is responsible for the unsafe storage of that shotgun. It has not been mentioned that he stole it from someplace 'other' than the federal institution he escaped from.. I guess someone at the jail finally looked around and said 'Hey!!! Where's my shotgun"? The police in Toronto are now asking the public to be on the lookout for ANOTHER missing murderer. He's been missing since June or July, and the cops are just letting the public know now! Don't worry, be happy, the police will protect you...eventually....maybe...maybe not...still waiting?)

Order Paper and Notice Paper No. 3 Wednesday, October 6, 2004
M-69 — October 5, 2004 — Mr. Breitkreuz (Yorkton—Melville) — On or after Tuesday, October 19, 2004 — That, in the opinion of this House, the government should direct the Auditor General of Canada to review the efficacy of all firearms legislation and firearms related legislation and report to Parliament on any gun control measure that is not cost-effective at reducing violent crime and improving public safety.(And the 'wrangling' begins... They ought to get around to this in 2 or 3 years, but I'm not holding my breath. The Firearms laws in this country 'never were' written with public safety in mind, they were written to appease urban anti-hunting-anti- gun paranoids and fanatics in the quest for liberal votes.)
Women in Canada face high risk of violence
OTTAWA (CP) - All women in Canada face an extraordinarily high risk of violence, but more so if they're aboriginal, Amnesty International said in a report Monday. Aboriginal women face double the risk of violence compared with society as a whole, Amnesty spokeswoman Irene Khan said. She called the report a "shocking and powerful snapshot" of violence against women in Canada. No one knows how many aboriginal women have been murdered or have disappeared, Khan added. There has been official indifference, and governments have not recognized an appalling state of racial discrimination and cultural prejudice against women, she said. (All Canadian women 'Do' face an extraordinarily high risk of violence, and many of them are shot by men with restraining orders against them. A restraining order does nothing to actually 'restrain' anyone. Unfortunately, the only person that seems to hear the shot that kills the woman, is the 911 operator. How many of these drunken, wife beating bastards, would confront their 'target'  woman, if they thought she would pull a small pistol from her purse and end her problem once and for all.. But Noooo! Our government who art in Ottawa says NO. That, would be politically incorrect. The woman MUST defend herself as best she can without a weapon, or, die at the hands of her attacker. It's the 'Canadian' thing to do!)

Armed Citizens Mean a Safer City
It is one of the benefits of being a politician. While handguns are banned for citizens in Washington, D.C., congressmen are allowed to have a gun for self-protection on the Capitol grounds. Well-known liberal politicians such as Senators Chuck Schumer and Ted Kennedy have armed bodyguards. The wives of politicians, such as Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle's wife, Linda, also have bodyguards. Undoubtedly, these politicians and their families have extremely good reasons for this protection, but many other Americans, especially those living with the high crime rates in D.C., also feel the same way. Thank goodness the U.S. House of Representatives finally voted to overturn D.C.'s handgun ban.(This will be a very important experiment in the U.S.A.. Once guns are no longer 'banned' from the 'law abiding' and 'non elite' (the criminals have 'never' given up their guns) The number of deaths by gunshot, should now drop drastically to the same level as all of the states around D.C. Proving once and for all, that firearms ownership results in a LOWER the crime level)
Gang-related killings show dramatic increase
As it ages, Canada's population appears to grow ever less murderous. But gang-related homicides are up, Statistics Canada reported yesterday, and for those who kill the weapon of choice is increasingly becoming the handgun. "I think that may account for two-thirds of the change, but not all of it. Just as it couldn't account for the increase [in homicide rates] in the late sixties and early seventies," said Neil Boyd, who teaches criminology at British Columbia's Simon Fraser University. Three-quarters of last year's 548 homicides were solved, which chiefly means that police laid charges. Firearms, mainly handguns, were used 29 per cent of the time. Stabbings accounted for 26 per cent, beatings for 22 per cent and strangulation or suffocation for 12 per cent; the rest of the victims died by other, or unknown, means. The growing prevalence of handguns marks a worrisome trend, Prof. Boyd said. "What we've had is a crossover. It used to be that two-thirds [of firearms homicides] involved rifles or shotguns. Now it's two-thirds handguns. That begs the question: Although we're not seeing more homicides, are we seeing a different kind of homicide?"(Gee Imagine 'that'! Handguns have been registered and controlled in Canada for 70 years. But it's really OK, because as well known coalition for gun control member, Neil Boyd says, "Are we seeing a different 'kind' of homicide"????  Why? I guess because hand guns must be inherently evil, it's the only explanation that seems to make sense to our billion dollar gun registry bureaucrats and coalition for gun control members. And being so inherently evil, registration 'only' works for the 'less' evil long gun.. Don't worry if this seems weird, you have to be a liberal, liberal journalist, or MORON  to actually  understand it!)
Cops seek B-sider - Police look for fourth suspect in teen's death
The B-side gang is suspected of involvement in the theft of a Remington 12-gauge shotgun from a Winnipeg police cruiser on Canada Day, sources have told The Sun. No arrests have been made in the embarrassing break-in and the missing cop gun has not been recovered. (Of course, no arrest has been made. Particularly not the type of arrest that would befall a home owner who has a 'unloaded' Remington 12 ga, shotgun stolen from a locked cabinet, within a locked house, by similar thieves.. But oh I forgot, every single instance thats been reported, shows Canadian Cops are above the law when it comes to stolen duty guns!)
Violent and dangerous offender unlawfully at large.
Correctional Services Canada and the Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Unit (R.O.P.E.) are requesting assistance from the public in locating a violent dangerous offender, John Steele. This federal offender is serving a six-year sentence for manslaughter. He was out on statutory release on Aug. 27 2004.
On Sept. 7, 2004, in the interest of public safety, a Canada Wide Warrant of Apprehension and Suspension of Statutory Release was issued by Correctional Services Canada. STEELE was last seen by his common–law wife in the Markham area on the Sept.6, 2004 and since then his whereabouts is unknown. John Steele was convicted in April 1999, for manslaughter in the Kitchener area and was sentenced to six years in a federal institution. Steele’s other convictions include, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, robbery and firearm offences. (Kind of says it all about the Canadian 'Just-Us' system doesn't it.. But don't worry, no need for self defence, the police will protect you.. If he attacks you, just call 911 and they will send a forensic response team to draw the outline around your body, collect evidence, and if caught, he will no doubt find himself back in prison for another 6 years before everything starts all over again, with 'another' victim ... Don't forget to thank a Liberal!)
Montague still up for Supreme Court challenge
A week after being released from jail, Dryden's Bruce Montague says he's even more determined to continue his fight against what he calls Canada's unconstitutional gun laws. The local gunsmith and Canadian Unregistered Firearms Owner (CUFOA) member openly refused to register his firearms in an effort to fight the effects of Bill C-68. After two years of protesting, Montague was arrested at a gun show in Dryden on Sept. 11. The family man and first-time offender spent 10 days in jail before he and his lawyer, Ed Burlew of Thornhill Ont., struck a deal with the Crown. As part of that deal, Montague disclosed the whereabouts of a large number of his personal firearms. Those firearms were located inside a secret room in the home, a room that had been missed by police during an initial search. As unpleasant as Montague found his time in jail, he says he remains undaunted in his fight for justice.(Many parts of the firearms farce have already been rescinded i.e. forcing gun owners to pay registration fees for something the government insists is a public benefit, and the warrantless search and seizure law has already been struck down by the Ontario Supreme court.  This law will not survive a Supreme court challenge. If you have any doubts, read the study that will form only part of the defence. If the government can get away with 'this' it will send shock waves through every thing you consider to be yours under the charter of rights and freedoms. This doesn't only affect gun owners. Bruce is fighting for every freedom gained over the last 1000 years, which has since been taken back by liberal governments over the last 50 years. The Crying Starts, Now that it's Happening to 'Them'!
There is a growing trend in American government centers to treat journalists like criminals - and like gun owners. The Illinois Leader, an Internet daily news site, reports that at the Pennsylvania capitol in Harrisburg, reporters will not be issued an annual access card unless they submit to an annual criminal background check. The "compromise" that was worked out was to have their employers carry out the checks. Chicago's city government is requiring fingerprints and criminal background checks also. The Chicago Police Department claims they will not keep this information, but a law long on the books requires this information to be on file before reporters get their access credentials. The Illinois Leader quotes a reporter asking these excellent questions: "Who would have access to these background checks? It's hard for me to believe the police department will do background checks and not put that information in a file. Who will get it? An alderman with a grudge? Even if there's nothing illegal (in the background check), who knows what will show up? You should see the messages I'm getting from members. The scenarios are endless." The federal registration list was used by police to go door-to-door in the Maryland suburbs of Washington during the Beltway Snipers' rampage in 2002. They thought they would find the crime gun in somebody's home. In fact, they found the crime gun the way they almost always do - with the criminal at the time of apprehension. Canada has registered handguns since 1934 and has never, ever, not even once, solved a crime with its registry. This was pointed out by Canadian Member of Parliament, Gary Breitkreuz, in my Live Fire interview with him (http://gunowners.org/radio.htm). But as New York City showed us a few years ago, guns that have been registered can be confiscated when the government decides to leave its citizens defenseless. To return to the reporter quoted by the Illinois Leader: "But there is almost unanimous concern about how the information would be used and who will be excluded." Gun owners might wonder if anti-self-defense bureaucrats in the FBI might plant disqualifying information in many of the files in their computers. It would be easy for them to do, and very difficult and costly for the gun owner to prove his innocence.(Soon, the Canadian government will be demanding 'background checks' on Canadian journalists, to keep the nut cases from obtaining not guns, but journalist 'credentials' ! It's being called for in the U.S., so it will happen here too. Particularly in a 'nanny state' like Kanada.. Their just now, beginning to see how their personal information can be used against them. Just like the OPP home invasion of the guy that sent a 'harsh' email to Dalton McGuinty.. The Registry told them that he owned a firearm, and anyone that owns a firearm, and at the same time is disgusted with a lying politician, deserves to have his rights revoked and a search warrant issued, even though there were no threats involved. In this case, the only charges laid were the result of the 'probably' illegal search... Journalists should 'welcome' a registration system and all that it offers. After all, they certainly championed ours didn't they? )
