  1. keep a straight face      保持正直的臉

    2. 喻指：板著臉孔，不露笑容。一般指跟別人開玩笑或捉弄別人時，自己裝出很嚴肅的模樣而不露聲色。

    【例句】：

    When she told me that she fell in the mud, it was difficult for me to keep a straight face.

    當她告訴我她掉到泥坑裡，我想不笑都很難。
  2. keep an eye on       保持一眼

    3. 喻指：留意，注意，照顧，監視。

    【例句】：

    I asked him to keep an eye on my camera.

    我請他幫我看著相機。
  3. keep in touch       保持接觸

    4. 即保持連繫，溝通。

    【例句】：

    When you move away, please let's keep in touch.

    你搬走後，讓我們仍繼續保持連繫。
  4. keep your chin up       抬起下巴

    5. 喻指：別氣餒，要勇敢，（在逆境中）不屈不撓。

    【例句】：

    Try not to worry, keep your chin up.   Everything will be okay.

    別擔心，勇敢點，事情會好轉的。
  5. kill time       殺時間

    6. 即「消遣」之意。

    【例句】：

    After her retirement, she will read the Greek Mythology to kill time.

    退休後她將讀希臘神話作為消遣。
  6. kill two birds with one stone       一石二鳥

    7. 喻指：一舉兩得，兩全其美。

    That guy revenged on his enemy by planning to kill two birds with one stone.

    那傢伙計劃用一石二鳥的方法向仇人報復。
  7. know all the answers       知道所有答案

喻指：懂得事故，有自信心，無所不知。常譏諷地指所謂「萬事通」的人。

【例句】：

She thinks she knows all the answers and doesn't respect anybody else's opinion.
