Wed 1 - [at home] Washing. Had a very large one. This eve Dry, Lib and Chub have been to Mr. Lewis to make a visit. I met with a dreadful accident.

 

Thurs 2 to Sat 4 - no entry

 

Sun 5 - [at home] Father and I went up town to meeting. This afternoon Lib and I have been down to the sing. Brought Villa [Orvilla Stow] home with us.

 

Mon 6 - [at home] Washing and visiting with Villa [Orvilla Stow]. Peter [Bryan?] has been here to work. Am almost dead with the toothache.

 

Tues 7 - [at home] Lib has been to carry Villa [Orvilla Stow] home and I have been cooking and washing dishes. Tonight Billie is staying with us.

 

Wed 8 - [at home] Doing all kinds of housework and sewing some making Pa a shirt. Sarah [Bennett?] has been here. Am tired to death.

 

Thurs 9 - [at home] Baking, churning. In the afternoon went down to see Jennie. Nellie [Butts] came up after school. Lib has gone down to stay all night. Broke off my tooth.

 

Fri 10 - [at home] Ironing, baking. Father has fixed up the back door steps. George [Prichard?] has gone past on the stage. Hope I shall see him soon.

 

Sat 11 - [at home] Cleaning up the house. Baking cake. This afternoon George [Prichard?] and Dry have been here. George is staying all night. Father has gone to the Lodge.

 

Sun 12 - [at home] Father has been up town to church. Lib and I went to Beebetown at 4 o'clock. George [Prichard?] came home with us and we all went to the school house in the evening.

 

Mon 13 - [at home] Did not wash. Have been visiting with George [Prichard?] this afternoon. Pa has fixed the stove. No more. Only I have got the tooth ache.

 

Tues 14 - [at home] Have been washing. Had a very large one. Lib Stevens has been here. [Sister] Lib and I went to carry her home. This eve Nellie [Butts], George [Prichard?], and Miles [Tillotson] have been here.

 

Wed 15 - [at Mr. Peck's] Father started for Cleveland at 3 o'clock. Lib and I had the chores to do then walked to the center to attend May [Butts?]'s funeral. [Dry ?]... and Tim stopped to our house to tea and I have come home with them to stay a few days.


Leonard Tillotson probably went to Cleveland to pick up his wife returning from Michigan.

Thurs 16 - [at Mr. Peck's] Have been helping Tim. Poor girl. She is to be pitied. How lonely she is this afternoon. Tim and have been up to Maria [Wallace?]'s to see Jennie. Came home in the rain.

 

Fri 17 - [at Mr. Peck's] Tim has done a large ironing. Joshua has come after his Mother. Oh, what a pet he is. Ha, ha! Maria Peck is moving in here today.

 

Sat 18 - [at home] Helped Tim do up the work and Tim took the children and came to bring me home. Found Mrs. Bryan here. Ma is not so well.

 

Sun 19 - [at home] Have not been to church today. Uncle [Lucius] Warner and Aunt Milly and Miles [Tillotson] was here to tea. Had a good visit with them.

 

Mon 20 - [at home] Done a large wash. George [Prichard] and [sister] Lib have gone to Columbia. [Brother] Leonard is to Mr. Thomas. Father has gone to watch with Aaron Thurman. Mother and I are alone.

 

Tues 21 - [at home] Baking and moping. Sherman Thomas and lady [Elizabeth Moore ?] have been here. 9 o'clock and Lib has not come yet.


If Sherman Thomas was son of Seth Thomas, his wife was Elizabeth Moore.

Wed 22 - [at home] Done a large ironing. This eve have been to Shiloh. Expeled? Mrs. Bidwell also Mrs. Reve (glory to Hannah). Just got home 11 o'clock.

 

Thurs 23 - [at home] Father, Lib and I have been to Medina to the fair. Saw lots of folks, had a good time. Almost tired to death.

 

Fri 24 - [at home] Have not done much today. Am almost dead with the toothache. Oh dear, what shall I do.

 

Sat 25 - [at home] Doing all kinds of housework. This eve George [Prichard?], Dry, Lib and Chub have been over to Peter [Bryan]'s. Had a regular train. Mrs. and Mr. Butts have been here.

 

Sun 26 - [at home] Jennie, Louisa and myself have been over to Margaret's. Seen all the folks. George, Johnny, Jimmy and Delbert and the beauty. Nell and Porter have been here.

 

Mon 27 - [at home] Have been washing. Father has been to work for Mrs. [Jacob?] Ward. This eve Lib, Put and I have been down to see George [Prichard?]. [Cousins] Miles [Tillotson], Zed [Tillotson] and Carrie [Caroline Tillotson]was there.

 

Tues 28 - [at home] George [Prichard?] came up here and at half 10 took the stage for Cleveland. Aunt Elmira and Uncle Daniel [Tillotson] was here to dinner this afternoon and Milly and Olive and May have been here. This eve have been down to Wm...

 

Wed 29 - [at home] Have been baking this afternoon. Lib and I have been picking beans. Good business for children. Am tired and sleepy. Dry came over and spent the eve.

 

Thurs 30 - [at home] Father and I have been to Hinkley to trade. Stopped to Aunt Anna's to see Elna Ann? No more, good night. J.[Jonathan] D. Stow is here tonight. Prichard's to a sing.
