This dictionary has been compiled from dream discussions and interpretations on the Dreaming World mailing list. Please be aware that some dreams will have considerable different meaning to different dreamers, the first place you should start looking when you want to analyse a dream is within YOU. ALIEN AIRCRAFT: Symbolic of the starbeings, and corresponds in our dreams with the "reality of all humankind; the totality of existing intelligence in all forms". ANIMALS: Represent the dreamer's animal instincts (or human nature), sex, aggression, paternal or maternal instincts, social status, etc... The choice of animal, its colour and location indicates how the instinct is regarded. For example; a black dog in the bedroom might mean the dreamer's attitude to sex is dominated by fear. Animals may also be healing agents (e.g. An alligator to a timid person) or entities. A third thought, and this is quite common, is that you are being contacted by a totem animal, each which have their own message for you. You may discover this message through not only dream work, but through meditation and oracles. ANTIQUE: Placing high value on self. Something of the past. AQUEDUCTS: Representative of a spiritual path. ARRESTED: Refers to "being caught" for something negative done. ARTHUR, KING: King Arthur was a great king who fought to have the Saxons case out of Brittany. He united an entire country to do this. He is often seen as the champion of justice and equality. ASTRAL REALMS: The here and now. Possibly a memory of an out-of-body experience. AXES: Can symbolise that we are being threatened by someone's greater power. AXE, DOUBLE HEADED (Also known as Labyris): Can mean a situation where something cuts both ways. Could also be warrior femininity or the Goddess trying to get your attention. The labyris is a yoni symbol, also represents a butterfly and therefore the mind or soul...
