TO PLUNGE
A drop of water dangling from a leaf
fell into the pellucid pool of the bird bath,
and, radiating outward in increasing geometric circles;
I’d like my life to plunge to death,
still pulsating with the World. Since, all that was
will leave into the great eternal,
rather than, buried by oppression’s pretended inevitable,
suffocating in yearning for when
life will return to Spring.
CLAUDIUS
You weren’t a Demosthenes, nor were you a Cicero,
nor could you ever endeavor to be a noble conspirator like Brutus, Cassius
and younger Cato last of the free Romans, though you, too, publicly proclaimed
an allegiance to the state and pretended to pursue policies beneficial to its interests:
but, on you rests full responsibility for the factional driven failure,
while your family of incubuses fed on the country’s Democratic corpse;
no factional puppet-master, who dared to pull your dunciade strings
and made a foul tyrant out of you, as morally bankrupt as the nation,
you went almost unnoticed among the cowering and corrupt sycophantic legislators
bearing a derivatively honorable name, Republican, if not the reality;
though you were both incompetent war mongers trying to distract your countrymen,
with veiled threats and a faded gory glory – it won’t benefit your legacy:
a Republican Revolution that’s an absolute failure, an administration of ignorance and
greed,
whose policies of exploitation and oppression produced vice and corruption,
as it blindly persisted down a deceitful course of malice, the nation went from bad to
worse:
and, your fame became synonymous for shame!
II
I’ll not wrong you with exaggerated claims, you wouldn’t care
if you were capable of thought; besides, who would willingly abjure Truth
the source of both prudence and wisdom, either is a fool or a miscreant
and here is a record of iniquities based on avarice that needs no exaggeration –
The great god Claudius Caesar, died just before a horse was made Senator;
while, we’ve done better than antiquity, by electing a stable of asses for Senators
and, a horses ass has fraudulently sat as President, whose father proved faction’s metal,
by pursuing policies of genocide abroad and surreptitiously severe persecutions at
home;
and, our tyranny bathed the nation in its own blood.
A deed that would’ve brought tears from all its citizens
had they not been deliberately conditioned to hate by a foolish publicity campaign of
monstrous acts,
and, habituated to cruel torture, immorality, and sadism;
and, though full of pretentious pride, such blind arrogance as deliberately destroyed
Democracy,
while promising the people prosperity, they produced record poverty in stead;
and, in the fullness of time, they did yield such a harvest of evil malice:
committed under a deceptive appearance of parental propriety,
but acted with such an outrageous state as the worst thieving murders
rarely degenerate into, while sinking in a stinking quagmire of fraud, avarice,
and every kind of filth: such was their pride that precipitated their fall from grace;
and, served as an impetus from which the hypocritical love of children did spring –
that wouldn’t be denied its full measure of misery and shame!
THINKING OF YOU
Early Spring’s somber sleet speckled showers
oscillate with bursts of brilliant silver selvaged sunshine:
I sit here thinking of you-
awaking, as the stain of love
spreads torturously over the world!
Red, and yellow and black spots
gnaw into the leaves,
smears of green lichen and hairy strands of moss
cling tenaciously to thin limbs that branch
and brace heavily against the saffron sky!
There is no light
from the pale, blind, full moon
fading into the smooth blue glass,
only the slow thick oozing stain
that slow motion drips
from leaf to leaf
and runs down supplicating limbs
encapsulating the colors
that they distort and spoil
on this spinning top that is the whole world –
you, remote from all this
purple haze and fading horizons
that slowly vanish into the West.
THE SKY GROWS BLUE
A small opening orifice, the sky grows blue over our stooped sloping shoulder.
The uncertain day will be cool, while sunlight thickens.
This is how it will be: a rumbling in gray canyons
a joy inexplicable except by clear skies and distant snow clad mountains.
And, inside the sick room, the patient will ask to close the window,
to listen to the sounds of his body.
And, great opportunity for those in the garden
chorus of song cascading over the hedge and our heads.
A great flock of geese leisurely fly by above the house,
they sweep by overhead, from green feeding fields to the blue river slough
showing 25 mated pairs beating their beautiful brown wings
wild Canadian geese that are gentle as Joseph.
And, one of the pot smoking middle aged couple gardening among the new turned beds:
says, “I’d like to tell you about high times while on vacation visiting the National Game
Refuges”,
and, our grown kids glance knowingly at each other,
and, they kindly say, “Do tell us – again.”
Meanwhile, the yard creates the appearance of an enchanted emerald island, a shire.
Surrounded by opaque geometric bushes and a gray grid of tarmac roads
sepulchral silence permeates the space,
when alveolus bubbles of silver sound percolate the neighborhood with little
motif fragments from longer lyrical melodies.
And, I full of healthy freedom and natural exuberance, observing all this,
I see the neighbor sneakily spying behind their curtained window:
and realize, how, like a well fed caged bird who sits safely staring in its cage hating
the lean songbird outside flitting among budding branches,
my sick neighbor hates me.
PRE-OP
Seeing her I want to be near;
sitting next to her, I want to kiss her;
kissing her, I realize I never want to leave;
know that if anything goes wrong:
I’ll miss her ‘till the end of time.
VENUS IN PORTLAND
On budding branches birds sing.
I watch them flying free from the confines of my room.
A blotchy Spring mist partially conceals them.
Back pain prevents me the pleasure of playing and cavorting
with the lark somewhere between Heaven and Earth.
Silently, she shivers between shrubs
she’ll stand sentinel there tonight, too.
I can’t sit and rest,
today I’ll fast, again –
sunshine and shadows form a lattice
where birds cautiously come closer,
I can’t stretch up and touch them.
From the pentacle of noon
you can see through butterfly wings
my pale body.
Here I pause, partially undressed,
Venus de Milo, god of antiquity
well preserved for over 2,500 years,
if you’ll excuse my missing limbs.
My brothers and sisters were devoured
by a glutinous, paranoid, homicidal father.
Eagles circled azure skies
waiting to deliver a bolt out of the blue.
My mother Gaia constantly transforms herself.
The three fates, master weavers –
I stood observing the mirror,
which reflected man
war, famine and plague.
I stood partially undressed
Shivering all Winter,
somebody give me a crust of bread.
Doomed to eternal youth,
my domain the garden.
Squirrels bark their alarm
At the silent stalking cat –
A red stain spreads screaming across the bed.
The children getting off the school bus
smirk knowingly at my nakedness,
compared to TV its pretty mundane stuff.
Neighbors furtively spy behind the dark windows,
at what satellites photograph from Heaven.
A green, scum colors me in Spring, Fall and Winter.
Out of the well of silence,
daily a rumbling wave of white noise
rises in the empty blue sky.
Its gray shadows dissolve, and, it’s raining
at dawn; Mt. Hood merges with clouds,
while horizons shrink behind gray curtains –
it’s a ghostly vision.
A shivering goddess in the garden,
the divinity of the turbid city.
INSIDE
Settling down into my easy chair
I rise with a recondite cloud dreaming
a landscape like Greco’s Toledo, in heaven
a broad current arrives from the horizon
of gray billowing clouds and breaks over
the Westhills reflecting in the brown glass river,
and, refracting in a beam of light,
a bright rainbow bridge shines briefly –
and then, there was nothing.
A promise binds Heaven and Earth.
The Westhills and the river weave themselves
throughout me, a bird sings on a bough,
Spring’s first flowering tree blossoms bold pink
and unfolds inside the delicate layered Universe;
the obscure city where I walk
floating in Paradise at the tops of trees,
where in cool green canopies I talk with the authors
and flit through the leafy lattices of their syntax,
enjoying high times and great adventures,
while I fly through the infinitely wonderful universes
that unfold inside their books.
POLE STAR
The World swarmed with women’s eyes
defiant display of shy surprise,
demure delight of a little coy coquette,
or, simply a sparkling serendipitous expression;
it seems a glorious constellation
revolving round, whichever way I turned my head,
‘till I saw you – a pole star above my bed:
leading me home.
ITERATIONS ON A SONNET
Radiating in every direction, silence spirals into infinity,
with great swirling clouds of nebulae, interlacing nacreous arcs, cosmic wombs
they appear as beautiful Zen gardens, mysterious jewel forges scattering stars across
creation,
but, consumed by gaping abysses, where in dismal isolation they’re entombed.
High flying through the great dark unknown, they embark on brilliant adventures,
sad multi-spatial dimension, a furrowed field treasure trove,
now sparks shower in a vast array of delicately blinking:
lead by blind groping patriarchs through relative, anthropic, transforming universes.
A family of man, or enslaved: he hesitates at the critical mined intersection –
a host of heavy black holes, or, a heavenly host of blossoming globes;
where we’re on one, a blue star sapphire, where the white point of light is Portland,
and, where a fool sits alone in a room, surrounded by book bound doorways, to infinite
unfolding universes.
A fragile phenomenon, an insignificantly small singularity –
a point of departure towards an ordered universe
knowing himself to be reproduced in a mirror, reflecting a mirror, slightly altering
another mirror image, repeating mirror images iteratively forever;
he thinks this in an instant, and then, composes it into the phonemes of a poem.
TOO, LATE
“Eh convict, who caught you, and, how was it that you were imprisoned?”
“It was my master,” said the prisoner.
“I wanted more wealth and power than everybody else in the whole wide world,
and, I amassed in my private investments all the people’s money.
When, resting at one of my palatial residences
I went to sleep and sank into a black hole of oblivion;
and, when I woke realized that the traps I set for others was now my own residence.
It was I,” said the prisoner, who carefully built this prison.
“I thought my supreme power would hold the world enslaved
and leave me free to fulfill my every desire, while yoking society with the caprice of
my personal prejudices.
And so, day and night I worked at the walls,
with huge machines and cruel conscripted labor,
when at last the work was finished and the land barren and walls impregnable –
I found out, too late: I lived there, too!”
I GRIEVE AND WONDER
Thick veined roots branch black and white,
odorous gradients of decay and excrement,
on an in the morphological event – Earth.
Universal unfolding of the structurally stable singularity,
I grieve, for our collective ignorance,
and wonder at all that I don’t know;
one death, while I’ve just begun, isn’t nearly enough –
I greed for more life.
If often a geodesic manifold covers my heart
with a grid, wait and watch, behold,
wonders and miracles abound; a sod
weaves a web of heavy thatch: miraculous grass.
HATEFUL HARVEST
Inverted pendulum, the sun mid-day, descends towards its tomb;
and, lips covered with the grape’s blood crack and bleed,
while laughter wilts and grass withers, savaged to stalks;
and, shattered dreams foul under oil slicks.
The furnace wakes and grumbles at the cold,
the dense air is drowsy, heavily laden with incense
for a golden snake with emerald eyes stares balefully into the wing-womb
dark and moist, an empty tribute to home and Liberty.
Now oppressed and exploited we forfeit old rights to new mistakes,
the child a deformed shadow of father dishonest, cowardly and cruel;
and, in the briefness bifurcating into a shadow devouring chaos,
decimating a heritage into blighted futures.
The crop reveals the tyrannical tree,
such sycophantic screeching, in stead of sibilant sylvan sounds;
lattice of individual leaves screen muted soaring clouds,
in the budding swell of Spring green spaces.
I’D LIVE LIKE SCIPIO AFRICANUS
I’d live like Scipio Africanus, in a country protected
by natural barriers, two oceans spread expansively over the globe;
and, they rootlessly slide together toward the other continents facilitating commerce,
and the mutual exchange of ideas, producing intellects like Einstein and Erasmus who
openly opposed tyranny,
and championed Humanism and Liberty as long as they lived.
There would be state subsidies for Art, in which a slightly decadent
council would duly declare their regret at the various abuses of personal Liberty
irresponsibly pushed to excess keeping the productive majority amused. Tyrannical
faction applauding from mansions, but I’d criticize from the edge of the crowd
crowing,” You miscreants.”
The country wouldn’t lack professional sports and local teams encouraging amateur
participation,
rivers would be filled to overflowing with canoes and kayaks cavorting and sailing.
Noticing a clean environment, industry providing jobs and products keeping people
employed all week,
but on the weekends mass transit would make Nature accessible for outdoor
recreational activities.
I’d assist, too, adding my voice to the common chorus
spending my money on concerts, or exhibitions, or maybe just relaxing,
my mind hitching a ride on the back of a passing Pegasus cloud,
my rights protected by a contemporary Solon and aggressive impulses penalized
and marked off on the gridiron.
II
I’d want a Library there and in its quiet isles, no longer used as a public brothel
for faction’s pimps to whore prostitutes, perverts and children, as a cure to boredom
and a means of expressing sadistic and degenerate tendencies by afflicting them
on people they hate; and,
burning books by not printing them, and then hypocritically pretending that the market
is practicing censorship, would stop.
There’d be RxR stations in every city center and government buildings impressively
displayed.
Demonstrating civic pride, like medieval communities used to do with their gothic
churches.
Spotting green spaces from airplanes with the skies open for transport developed
to a degree that would cause Jules Verne to open wide his eyes in wonder.
And, when Winter tossed its white mantel over sculptures in the city squares,
I’d wander through the museum and see what rotating exhibitions
alternated through town, and, the communities’ artists displayed, at public and
private galleries, whose cafes sold refreshments, and famous art works
were as common as professional sports logos.
From my window at twilight I’d watch commuters efficiently swarm past
hurrying through computer regulated arterials, to live – theatre for local talent
with technological based sets marketed by Microsoft and Lucas graphics –
and highly professional shows viewed comfortably from the privacy of one’s home.
III
There would be cafes in the city, with a wide array of subculturals,
where burn outs quietly convalesce and serve as gentle reminders for those nihilistic
extremists who’d live life to excess.
We need the 21 century so people may grow beyond what their parents were
we’ve already experienced the 20 century’s mindless paranoia with its failed factional
tyranny.
Certainly there’s a street in every city, with twin rows of sentinel trees
an entrance flanked by sculptured mythical creatures and other fantastic themes
with extravagant advertisements integrated into the architecture providing ideas
of the wonderful nature of their business - an honest garden of Earthly Delights.
I’d listen while non strident voices calmly explained,
a wide variety of perspectives on every conceivable thing;
and, great peoples portraits would adorn public places, to encourage people’s
participation.
But, “even love must rest” and neighborhoods well lit and clean would wait for lights
to go out and people sleep.
Time, which is an accelerating constant, would hurtle hectically from Friday through Sat.
Night;
However, Sunday would dawn still and serene, while citizens happily would go to their
respective churches;
and, the mounting tensions of the week would melt, and the refuse of the busy work week
would wash away, cleaning the city of its refuse.
And, the monuments to the great men and women and moments, the larger than life
realistic bronzes,
would be there; and, the people thrust forward by the needs of their times, those who
make history,
or, the one’s blessed by fate that history has made:
I’d have a plethora of plaques covered with every conceivable pedantic fact.
They’d serve as a constant visual reminder of our great national legacy
and, the understanding that each generation, ever vigilant, must prove their worth,
to pass that heritage on intact. I’d take my tea, and ruminate out loud,
a modern gadfly cultivating the fine art of asking questions – an outside observer,
alone looking in.
and, when they finally assault me based on their slander,
believing the lies I use to test my mettle and prove my worth,
the monstrous rabid people storming around me would bellow,
with spittle spraying from their mouths – “We’ll show you hate!”
I, who’ve seen the iterations of History and the decay that is our tyranny’s fate,
will smile thinly, as I realize how ignorance is their cage;
and, in the play written by a blind idiot and acted by a grotesque caste of fools,
I’ve been given a job at last – either, to clean up the mess, or sit in the audience!

STOCK MARKET CRASHES
The radical right faction Republican Revolution is an absolute failure! The third complete collapse of the World’s financial markets, the second from this fraudulently elected administration, is a shocking proof of that fact. The World’s stock markets fell by over 75% of their value, again, before the major investors’ computers intervened attempting to profit from the re-structured losses. And, if one considers that an even greater complete collapse would have confronted the nation if the ill advised policies advocated by the radical right faction controlled Republican Party to privatize all or at least a considerable part of the public Social Security System, had been followed, one can only be relieved that the better judgment of the Democrat Party and the broad base of American business community prevailed. The public Social Security System performed its function to provide a foundation of demand that promotes business and functions to help stabilize the World financial markets, in addition to its function of eliminating the specter of abject poverty from among our nation’s Senior citizens after a lifetime of productive employment. However, this time, which is the third attempt by faction to utilize government for its own private ends by stealing Iraq oil and natural gas resources in order to replace the revenues lost after the last stock market collapse and serve to support the radical right faction’s efforts of World domination, they sought to pad the radical right faction’s investments many obtained by fraudulently gained public revenues and other sources of income derived from a fundamentally flawed view of government, as existing exclusively as a means to make money for faction through exploitative policies and the oppression of society that are devastating for economies, the latest efforts of the radical right faction ended in failure, too. The fall and its magnitude were predicted by this author: and, it is a clear repudiation at a fundamental level of the erroneous view of the radical right faction toward Democratic government and market driven economies, a problem compounded by the impaired labor inputs inherent in tyranny that are particularly damaging when they occur at the policy determining positions held by incapable personnel who are over dependent on technology for decisions to circumstances and events that they don’t even remotely understand, and the corrupt and oppressive policies which the radical right faction are habituated to and that lead to systemic dysfunction in the economy.
The collapse clearly demonstrates that the radical right faction has learned nothing from its earlier errors. An opinion collaborated by the fact of recent radical right faction controlled Republican efforts to manipulate the country’s demographical shifts, by gerrymandering at the state level of government in places like Arizona, Colorado, Louisiana, and California, and thus stealing control of the US Congress through the crass manipulation of what otherwise would be the legitimate government processes of the nation. Faction still mistakenly views Democratic government as a means to make money and an inferior substitute for legitimate business and commercial concerns. It merely dropped one failed attempt that privatizing Social Security represented and continues blindly groping for others in the industrial-military and in America’s health care system. So, what started as an ill advised effort after WWII, with the industrial-military benefiting from bloated budgets, which President Eisenhower warned the American public about in his farewell address; and then, lead to the assassination of the next American President John F. Kennedy, who valiantly tried to oppose the land war in SE Asia that was also the last colonial war which placed the USA on the wrong side of history and came to be the only war America ever lost - the Vietnam War. The war was part of the global conflict that began after WWII, between the two leading powers of a World that had evolved into a state of bipolarized power now known as the Cold War Era, which was corruptly and fraudulently extended by the radical right faction for over an extra decade, even after it was known that the USSR was lagging behind technologically and facing an economic state of collapse due to a lack of enough available energy resources. This deceitful state was realized by murdering the country’s legitimate foreign agents in the USSR by informing on them and replacing them with corrupt spies who were paid to lie to America’s legitimate government. This is a matter of Congressional record! The radical right faction then continued to defraud America by siphoning off the foreign aid to Russia that was supposed to redevelop that country, and in stead the money was used to buy up a significant portion of Europe’s publicly traded corporations. During this period, the radical right simultaneously engaged in hostile efforts to takeover the international drug trade, by using contacts in S. America and SE Asia established with covert operators who were recruited by the radical right faction for the express purpose of establishing independent funding for its operations that legitimate governments wouldn’t touch; and, extensive investments by the radical right faction, from legitimate and non-legitimate sources, lead to the radical right faction’s eventual utilization of felonious investment practices, to pay for what then was a considerable overhead of subordinate tyrants, who they were employing on a world wide scale to pay for spying, prostitution, youth gangs, terrorist groups, and covert operations including religious missionaries smuggling weapons to foment revolution in various countries around the globe, like in East Europe, Africa, and Mexico, to name only three examples mentioned in America’s propaganda-machine. The effect of insider trading practices on a market wide scale, which was the equivalent to forging money, soon had stock prices divorced from the legitimate value of the corporations, as stocks demonstrated unsustainable rates of return characteristic of bubbles. And, of course it burst, even in the new hi-tech area of the economy that was supposedly immune from any recessions, forget depressions, with America experiencing its first radical right faction caused depression. Then, after the puppet-presidency of Republican Ronald Reagan and Bush, and the national debt grew to mountainous proportions, and plummeting standards of living eroded consumer demand, and unprecedented corruption afflicted the nation in a series of actions that later came to be associated as characteristic of the radical right faction Republican Revolution, the radical right faction Republicans endured two terms out of the White House, though they still controlled the Senate, under Democrat President Clinton, and the nation experienced unprecedented prosperity, as the Democratic Party balanced the budget, made the nation debt free, and slowed our plummeting standard of living; and then, the USA was forced by the radical right faction to fight a contrived war, because faction was greedily seeking extra industrial-military profits. How do you explain that the most poverty stricken peasants in the world had enough money to arm an army and fight a sustained war against Yugoslavia? This was done immediately after NATO finished conducting war game studies for the region, which developed a very profitable scenario for the radical right factional industrial-military interests. And, arms dealers, who are supplied by the industrial military, and who don’t extend lines of credit, for obvious reasons, somehow received enough money for the poverty stricken Albanians to receive the weapons, or, expressed another way, what single group do we know of who would be advantageously positioned to learn of NATO’s reports, had sufficient money to pay for these events, and would’ve benefited from them occurring – the radical right faction; and, the USA fought and won the war under a Democratic administration without any American fatalities, for less money than Republican Bush spends on a month in flat and relatively treeless Iraq. The big spending radical right faction Republicans are approaching spending one trillion dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan, on futile efforts that camouflage their sordid attempts to manipulate the Sunni and Shiite religious groups into murdering elements of Mid-East society that the radical right faction doesn’t approve, in a surreptitious effort that can only be called by the ugly name of genocide, just as they previously did in Ireland between the Protestants and Catholics. It is an unfortunate fact that most of the money that the USA spends on its wars ends up in the private accounts of the radical right faction. The faction during all of this began searching for alternative sources of income and came up with privatizing entitlements (Social Security System and Medicare) in addition to its industrial-military investments. Then, America experienced a fraudulent election, which it seemed to be about to reject, when the USA was subject to a terrorist attack that struck mainly at the radical right faction’s leading opponent in international finance the WTO on 9/11 by terrorists who were infiltrated by a 17 year old California youth who caught a commercial airline and flew to Pakistan, and while training in a Afghanistan camp at a terrorist training base used by the USA’s CIA and NSC continuously for over a quarter of a century – see previous issues – he became associated with the terrorists who had already, on a previous occasion, attacked a US military base and were planning to attack the USA, again. And, we are expected to believe that this terrorist organization was able to recruit, train and attack without anyone catching wind of what was transpiring in spite of considerable USA espionage efforts in the area. But, enough of this tragic digression, the nation and Wall Street when confronted with the prospects of the radical right faction in the White House and running the country again, with their erroneous view of government and an oppressive state, it catalyzed a depression at the beginning of Republican puppet-president Bush JR.’s administration, and America was afflicted with three more phony wars. Two of which were against OPEC countries, and one, we were even supposed to have won, though how America benefited in any way buried under a mountain of war debts remains a great mystery. And, the terrorist who is responsible for the murder of thousands of Americans, and is a family member of Saudi Arabia’s royal family, this person remains at large; and, the same Saudi Arabia royal family who happens to have another family member who is a personal friend with the Bush family (he’s called ‘uncle’) and who functions as financial adviser to the Bush family, and for months after the terrorist attack friends and family members of the Saudi Arabia’s royal family were left freely roaming all over the USA without even being interviewed, and this, even though they all began to suddenly leave the country at once, and while the Republican administration publicly clamored for Homeland security, which attacked American citizens’ Civil Rights. It’s gotten so absurd that the New York Times is vainly clamoring, to reform CIA abusive prison procedures and American military practices of torturing prisoners some of whom are foreign citizens that they conveniently call soldiers; this is cynically done for public relations purposes internationally, and for an attempt to reform American news’ non-existent credibility domestically. And, America is still fighting two wars, one somehow miraculously forgotten by the media, in Afghanistan that’s related to the Saudi Arabia royal family terrorist. Americans were not only being attacked by terrorists, but under the continuing disastrous, incompetent and avaricious, leadership of the radical right faction, during the abysmal failure of its Republican Revolution, our standard of living began to fall once again towards Third World levels, the national debt grew to be the largest in the history of the World, and America experienced another (the second) stock market crash, this too, was the largest the World had ever seen, with financial markets falling by over 75% and whose negative effects weren’t corrected even after seven years, when the entire World’s financial markets were traumatically shocked with the Third stock market crash and this one, too, was by over 75% of the financial markets total value. This doesn’t include the frustrations that Americans felt when in spite of receiving repeated warnings the Republican administration did nothing to correct our infrastructure needs, until finally a national disaster occurred and a hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans; and then, the administration still sat idly by and did nothing, except watched with the rest of Americans the plight of our poor fellow citizens, until it brought in a Democrat, the former President Bill Clinton, who soon sorted everything out. The fundamental fallacy has escaped the radical right faction, with its impaired labor inputs and limited negative debilitating experience: radical right factional based tyranny is all that it knows how to do, which is obviously inadequate to run a country. The talent and ability that it can afford to employ is handicapped by being directed in its endeavors towards developing exploitative efforts that advance their careers and the radical right factions profits, but are an unmitigated disaster that only serve to impoverish the nation and continue constricting its wealth, while its people are reduced to small variations of cottage industry to make their living and support their families. And, the view that the USA is the property of faction is definitely false. The economy needs to expand, diversify, and develop and not be ravaged by excessive exploitation that ultimately constricts its economy and exhausts the country, which the radical right faction’s myopic focus on immediate returns inevitably causes. This is derived from not only its unfortunate background, but it results from the intensive competitive demands of the market place, coupled with internal corporate dynamics that are fueled by misplaced ambition. The USA was blessed early on with the untapped resources of a virgin continent and its founding fathers had the wisdom to establish a government based on Equality, Liberty and Civil Rights that included private property rights with particular emphasis on the freedom of the individual that catalyzed personal initiative. The result was the highest standard of living that the World had ever known that culminated in the much maligned 60s and 70s. It was the correct adversarial response of the progressive elements of American society to the Vietnam War, which led to our present reactionary response and social oppression in the form of severe persecution by the radical right faction, after it had impeached President Nixon, by leaking information on administrative improprieties that pale in today’s corrupt environment, for ending the war and recognizing China – both were correct and astute political measures, by the last non faction controlled Republican puppet-president. Another measure of success of traditional American Democracy was the fact that it was instrumental in the defeat of its extreme totalitarian adversaries three times during the last century with two World Wars and one so called Cold War. The success of freedom loving traditional Democracies lead to laissez faire policies, with social status based on conspicuous consumption that retarded efforts for a more profound understanding of the economic science. Today, the advantages derived from the foundation of Liberty on which America’s unprecedented prosperity is based is being subject to a process of oppression that restricts the pleasures and joys which in turn leads to fewer and fewer of them, with the end in mind of faction establishing a corrupt ascendancy from which it hopes to financially benefit. Patterns of personal wanton waste are used as carrots to lead people into subordinated superficial lives, where social status is based exclusively on materialism not spiritual or personal worth based on the virtue and self actuation of the individual. And, Stalinist patterns of ruthless oppression, where people are denied the right to work and threatened with starvation and deprivation in an open attack on private property, are used to extort and coerce. It is effective as Stalin was quoted as saying that he could control and compel anyone by threatening to starve their family. But, America’s neo-fascists hit a new low by denying people the right to work, as part of their severe persecution; and then, absurdly trying to fault their victims for not working: this constitutes a system of slavery where the owners don’t incur the expense of maintaining the slaves. The results speak for themselves, huge prison populations for political crimes that have no victims; and, plummeting standards of living to the Third World levels for a targeted 80% of American citizens, no social services from government because they don’t make money for the radical right faction, a poor education system that’s too expensive for the majority of people’s children, the worst health care system in the industrial World, worst for children and worst for families, and inadequate affordable housing, and assaults on retirement. After the radical right faction Republican Revolution, government is abused by faction, in pursuit of greed and oppression, to an extent where it now no longer functions to meet the needs of the people with well designed programs that equitably benefit all classes of society. And, laws no longer protect the individual Civil Rights of citizens that form the basis of society’s collective well being, they function as weapons that punitively hurt people while serving factional tyranny. The effect on America is to yoke citizens with the capricious prejudice of tyranny, while chaining them with an ignorance and poverty that’s mistakenly thought to be profitable for faction.
How can peace be made with faction, while their subordinating tyrants elevate their social position by standing on their fellow citizens’ throats? They control information to prevent people from learning the Truth. The radical right faction inflames people’s passions to repudiate the use of Reason, and it results in a nation who is given only one freedom, the right to agree – or else. This impertinence run rampant that has its roots in the reconstruction era SE corner of America, and is patterned after the severe persecution it manifested, where people traveled around hypocritically publicly advocating law and order, while secretly dressing disguised in white garments and committing violent acts. This is now well funded by faction and done nationally, minus the white garments, for other bigoted pretences, because it distracts and develops cowardice, among other vices and corruption, while preventing people from criticizing public corruption and looking into their own lives and forgetting an impoverished and oppressed reality, with worse prospects for the future. Our lives become a constant struggle pursued or pursuing, and, frightened or callous and cruel and absorbed in the hunt, no one standing on their own merit, sadistic severe persecution and deceitful spying becomes a sordid sort of entertainment, when without a life of their own there is nothing to do, except take interest in others affairs, all sanctified by programmed prejudices and hates manifested with acts of spite and malice: forget the consequences and significance to the individual and society, they’re impregnable ignorance is protected by clichés. This becomes the haven for the radical right faction subordinate tyrants, and a haven for bored and inadequate people with time on their hands after working for inadequate wages 60+ hours a week. Those who aren’t successful, substitute status for these monstrous labors, while the ominous Truth slumbers with its evil buried deep within them. In fear that the basic absurdity of the system should be revealed of these pathetic pre-occupations, these extreme misfortunes, cluttering lives with effluvial artifices, people move through life vice ridden, degenerate, and corrupt, only to die in a fever of hate over nonsense.
Its odd how a species so astute at studying various Natural Sciences about the World and Universe and life; here however, we aren’t intelligent, inventive and perspective, here we find different methods and employ other inept tactics. It’s sad to see so many so afraid of the Truth, or even any attempt at an honest evaluation of facts! If people would look at one another as they do the rest of existence they’d laugh and climb off of their high-horses, they’d look at life simply and stop with their self-serving self-delusions and cease to be consumed by hate, because life doesn’t reflect their personnel prejudices: there will always be people who disagree: in stead of hating others, and denying life, and destroying oneself and Democracy, too, they’ll appreciate the amazing diversity God granted to this moral, beautiful Universe. The indignation against the evil, ugly and dangers of the World is perhaps a good thing; but, it must be kept in moderate limits, or it will be far worse than any possible ill generated from the abuse of personal freedom.
The destruction of wisdom and justice by an immoderate amount of hate and done in haste will result in societal ills that ensuing ages will regret at leisure, as we are finding out to our lament. We’re busy experiencing the results of a social experiment that’s utilized perverting science and technology and resulted in a whole host of societal ills that together generated degeneration and aberrations. And, the higher degree of their development and the longer they persist running for the expedient use of covering up the greed and corruption of the radical right faction: the greater the resulting suffering. Will it be recognized before universal suffering sees the resurrection of Socialism as a viable ideology of our time? A dull weight oppresses contemporary life; our relative programmed belief that we’re isolated and can’t effect meaningful change unless conveniently channeled into displaced organs who “make a difference” by responding like Pavlovean herd animals to programmed prejudices and decades old clichés that are archaic and symptomatic to the intellectual and moral bankruptcy that they not only make possible but have come to represent. It’s an unnatural calm caused by the effects of current efforts of corrupt oppression. The last time societies confronted this situation the Russian Revolution and two World Wars were the consequence. Nature is designed for societies to demonstrate certain social characteristics that include Equality, Liberty and Human Rights which lead the way for it to be genuinely stable and prosperous and happy. The universality of these rights among a pluralistic society gives them their legitimacy, without which society degenerates into a chaotic disequilibrium that eventually inevitably leads into a state of complete collapse. The more strident the struggle to oppress these healthy social characteristics the more violent the inevitable disruption and discontinuous dislocations that will inexorably follow, all history of civilization can be perceived as mankind’s faltering efforts to attain and maintain this stable state, a comparative study of England, Germany, France and Russia is sufficient to establish the hypothesis. You must admit this or doom society to the futuristic totalitarian states no reasonable person wants.
And, besides, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars must end: now!

Notes on National Development
It’s advantageous to note that the historical entity known as a nation has not been, nor can it be, a static entity. As the Western societies evolved the government structures that served them transformed. The first question that needed sorting out was what sort of structure would dominate the political domain, would societies be ruled by an oligopoly class, or would power tend to concentrate in the hands of a monarchy. The latter alternative was finally realized after a protracted struggle, because it proved more advantageous than the oligopoly approach. Monarchies allied their interests with those of the rights of common citizens and the rising middle classes, in a way admirably depicted by Victor Hugo in his immortal Hunchback of Notre Dame de Paris; but, this wasn’t a static state, it continued to develop and evolve toward our current Democratic forms of government. Around 1700 the rise of cities facilitated by the growing merchant class and trade guilds and the beginnings of industry had advanced to an extensive degree that created a circumstance which was exacerbated by the irresponsible behavior of the kings which required extensive financial support from the broad base of the nation, enter the rise of Parliaments, who controlled a kingdoms purse strings and eventually embraced a decline in the divine right of kings – the belief in popular Democracies was at first a hanging offense that latter became punishable by prison terms. It was only after a gradual process that power came to be recognized as residing in the people, who after religious turmoil and their experience during the Cromwell Revolution, learned about the corruptive aspects of power, and they firmly fixed that the power to rule a nation should be placed in public institutions. The experience of continental Europe was varied, but on the whole more violent and ended in a similar state.
It is during this period of transformation of the nation-state during the 1700s that the rise of Parliament to ascendancy was widely recognized. Interest in what entailed a more perfect union began to appear among the enlightened publications of the period and in intellectuals’ conversations and private papers. It was recognized that a united effort was required to attain a lasting peace, which was identified as a beneficial state necessary for generalized prosperity. Further, it would advance society’s interests in religion, Liberty and private property. And, it would function to conciliate conflicting sets of interests domestically, and overt expressions of competition between conflicting parties and the protection of human rights were mitigated with varying degrees of success by political related structures in what were usually still kingdoms, with only one significant exception - the USA. Finally, it was widely recognized that the foundation to the weighty affairs of state was the basis for the present and future Happiness of all class of society, which in turn rested on the individual’s rights.
The above state of affairs, where a unified strength at home was recognized as a deterrent to dangers abroad, persisted through the first half of the 20th Century. The recognition of the value of collective effort produced an era of union, strength and Liberty and relative examples of good government was the norm among the various Western countries. In fact Western Democracies in their various forms proved so effective interfacing with market driven economies during the beginning of the industrial age that they came to dominate the globe’s resources. Enter the insidious iniquities that characterized the Imperial Age, with its racism as the basis for social inequalities that soon began to manifest itself domestically in class distinctions and an erosion of individual’s rights. This topic is extensive and requires volumes to do it justice.
The history of the USA, even though it marked historically the first Constitutional Democracy, was early recognized as the last great experiment in individual rights universally experienced, as noted by Shelly in his correspondence with Byron. America beneficially utilized the experiences of its parent country Great Britain, who was the then leading commercial power, and like Athens at the apex of its power, Britain had an extensive colonial empire, so vast that it was claimed that the sun never set on it. The basis of its foreign policy was to play the part of counterbalance to Europe’s primary power, which first was Spain and then France through the Napoleonic Era and finally Germany after its unification and rise to ascendancy, when the power of Austria was exhausted after repeated failed revolutions against Napoleon left a regional power vacuum in that part of Europe that later was the basis of the Axis Powers. The 20th Century was a period of inflamed ‘isms’ when elevated nationalism resulted in mutual jealousies in constant competition for colonies and their natural resources, and, a series of treaties that were supposed to stabilize Europe’s conflicting national interests and prevent open war, which were becoming progressively more likely on a larger scale, with the rise of a series of other ‘isms’ like Communism, Socialism, Anarchism, and Fascism; all ideologically antagonistic when pushed to nationalistic extremes, for the benefit of private parties like Bismark and Hitler among the Fascists and Stalin at the top of the Communists.
During this phase the Americas were blessed with relative isolationism by two oceans. Under the United States of America’s Monroe Doctrine, which prevented any additional overt acts of colonial intervention in the Western Hemisphere, the Americas were closed to imperialism besides those that were pre-existing. The fact that wind power was slow and uncertain, ‘till the rise of steam engines could be effectively harnessed, by an effectively designed propeller on a prop-shaft, which made sea commerce fast and efficient and military intervention more probable. But, by then the USA was a formidable potential enemy whose combination of a growing military might and the capacity for retaliatory economic measures, by closing its markets to any foreign nation’s goods, made America and its doctrine an effective deterrent to foreign intervention in the Western Hemisphere. Spain was in the final stages of economic decline, and Great Britain found that its interests were best served through military dictators (Garcia Marquez depicts this arraignment in a brilliant short story) rather than incur the expense and risk inherent in overt forms of military intervention, and it effectively split the America’s market with the USA’s growing industrial power.
The USA first determined on unification with its economic interests being harmoniously channeled through Washington DC into what eventually after the Louisiana Purchase, Gladstone’s acquisitions, Seward’s Folly and two wars and the threat of a third with England was to become the corner stone to the First President Roosevelt’s policy of Manifest Destiny. And, North America was spared the regional competition and conflict its partition would inevitably have brought, and men like Aaron Burr from New York were thwarted who advocated pursuing a regional approach which obviously was designed to further their interests over the nations. The one major blemish experienced by the USA was its Civil War, when the North who was recognized early on as the area of power asserted its dominance uniting its interests with the West over an expansionistic South, who wished to expand its oppressive economic system over the rest of the country. From these considerations it appears that the advocates of treaties and alliances were mistaken in their efficacy at preventing conflict and promoting peace and stability between divergent sets of interests.
When independent interests combine in alliance, or unite their forces, then an adversarial state exists. This can happen between nations as occurs during declared wars, or this can happen between conflicting sets of interests within a nation, as occurred during America’s Civil War. Different commercial concerns must create different interests, this is the basis of game theory, and of course economic competitors within a country establish different degrees of political involvement to government as a resulting effect. In a nation the size of America, the stage is set for the development of unprecedented concentrations of wealth, which have had interesting and complex consequences to the country. In Europe, the relative small size of the nations has previously prevented the commercial concerns from becoming injuriously large. America missed a bullet and turned the tide back with anti-trust legislation, but the processes of constriction of wealth continued unabated. Thus, the potential developed where a set of factional interests grew to a size where they could act on the erroneous view that government was a means of acquiring wealth by the exploitation of the people and resources of the country; and, as their goals and services are erroneously perceived as divergent from the commercial concerns of the entire nation, their interests are superficially viewed as different, too; and, the first step to further factional interests at others expense was taken, it displaced the flow of information to the public, and thus commenced the process of conditioning society to be oppressed. An alliance, so contrary to the national heritage and good of the nation, requires an emergency to establish such a foolish precedence; and, a three tiered internal assault on an unsuspecting public, who would continue to operate on perfect good faith, commenced. The pretence was established with a contrived crack epidemic that established independent funding for factional interests who employed individuals with a background in covert government. The first tier was discerned as necessary, after the Goldwater Republican Presidential campaign fiasco, demonstrated that the right wing wasn’t strong enough numerically to legitimately win an honest American election; and, it was deemed necessary to win political power at any cost, in order to achieve this dubious objective it was viewed as necessary to displace information to the public by controlling the publishing, news, and entertainment industries. After WWII reporters with liberal journalist backgrounds filled similar positions with the networks on TV’s neophyte news programs, they served to balance the influence of the more conservative views of the owners and businesses who supplied commercial revenues, which even then functioned as a censorious filter to the American public’s news. The radical right faction from efforts made from puppet-president Ronal Reagan began to utilize news as an adjunct to the abuse of power, as a propaganda-machine styled after the one designed by Herr Goebel for the Nazis during 1930 in Germany, by providing misinformation to news from government sources and by buying the controlling interest in news networks and services, their influence was soon great because of the limited number of providers in the oligopoly supplied news-market. Also, it was soon realized that by paying the leading anchor people large salaries they could subtly influence their point of view and align it with big business interests, which served as another censor to filter the news and once again the relatively small number of participants facilitated the strategy which influenced the other subordinate positions in the news industry like the proverbial carrot. Another effective strategy to help influence the news during this period was to fill positions like the head of personnel with pro right wing people and individuals with a military background that would over time serve to undermine the previously liberal attitudes favorable toward the ideologies that are tolerant and humanistic and functioned as the foundation for the pluralistic basis of traditional Democracies. This ran simultaneous to similar efforts towards displacing the legal profession with retired military personnel who were encouraged to become involved in the legal profession as liberal, moderates and non-conservative participants were screened out by carefully manipulated admissions boards, as Law Schools and University boards were displaced antecedent to the efforts to transform higher education and the judicial branch of government in America. The idea was, if Democracy ever became recalcitrant and the people not constantly fooled, then the radical right faction figured that the displaced courts could rule the country through the Federal Judiciary. And, the function of American Universities was fundamentally transformed from developing well rounded individuals with a Humanistic background who could Reason and be solid citizens capable of solving societies many myriad problems and productive employees trainable to perform any task required by their employer; and, universities no longer functioned as an open forum for the free competition of ideas, they merely trained and produced technocrats for industry to consume, and they functioned as rationalizers and legitimizers for the radical right faction’s erroneous policies and views; and, they served to habituate society to the radical right faction’s abuse of power, and exploitative policies, and the oppression of society, as the universities and its professors were required to function in Germany and the USSR when extremist elements controlled those states. The fact that information to the public was carefully controlled meant the public wasn’t aware of the profound fundamental change transforming public institutions into instruments of faction. The second tier was to displace a major political party with efforts well under way in the 1960s when Goldwater was the Republican candidate and he lost in a landslide. It was realized that for an extremist faction to defraud the country not only was the media functioning in an adjunct capacity necessary as a propaganda-machine, but the organized structure of a political party was required. The actor and puppet-president Republican Ronald Reagan was the realization of these efforts, and a presidential candidate was advanced by the radical right faction who hadn’t any training, nor any background, nor any skills to run the largest Democratic government in the World, which gave faction the chance to demonstrate that it didn’t understand the difference between license and Liberty and the nation experienced the most corrupt Republican administration in its history. Domestically it was a disaster as America experienced the second largest depression of the century. The Republican Party was purged of all liberals, moderates, and conservative members; and, PACs were established to amply fund all Republican Party candidates, and they functioned to make sure that only candidates acceptable to the radical right faction were ever elected and the voting records reflected the new homogeneity of the radical right faction controlled Republican Party; rather than, the usual pluralistic pattern of a national party with regional variances and ideological differences manifesting themselves with a whole continuum of political beliefs, the radical right faction dominated Republican candidates voted locked into goose stepping conformity, as all voting on important issues were practically identical. And, computerized campaigns lied to the public and tailored the packaged candidates to district profiles – any and all resemblance to the Truth was purely coincidental. Money mugged America’s Democracy, when the radical right faction who controlled the media which provided unfair advantages with prejudicial coverage nation wide, purchased the Republican Party; and, the radical right faction Republicans had unfair spending advantages for their packaged campaigns, as government was displaced and represented the radical right faction’s money interests and not people! The third tier was a displaced populist movement with a heavy fundamentalist flavoring, and strong infusion of former members of America’s covert government, which transformed into an instrument designed to function like its historical antecedent the brown shirts (Nazi Germany) outside legitimate channels of government as a tool to oppress American society. The transformation of the populist movement into a private radical right faction organization functioning outside the legitimate sphere of human activity had predictable disastrous results, as without moral and legal restraint it degenerated into an expression of organized crime always immoral and often illegal! The radical right faction Republican Revolution was the result of the carefully orchestrated three tiered assault on the country, which erroneously viewed itself as independent of the nation; and, its large monetary investments in politics meant that faction’s policies were sure to be geared toward exploitation and designed to generate the largest return possible, as government became a means of making money for a few at the expense of the many. America’s traditional Democratic government that viewed government as a means of equitably solving problems beneficially for all, and, relieving human suffering with programs equitable to all classes of society, and fairly redressing the negative externalities of market driven economies quietly ceased to function. The honest efforts of the Democratic Party to perform the traditional legitimate functions of Democracy were met with solid consistent opposition from the controlling Republican Party, whose radically altered view of government as an exclusive means of making money meant that Democratic efforts would be handicapped and thwarted wherever possible. Faction functions with ulterior motives that are distinctly disagreeable, the fact of their huge political investments guarantees that they’ll pursue policies that exclusively benefit their interests at everyone else’s expense, and, that’s why when one tries to analyze dispassionately from a detached objective perspective, one is confronted with the contradiction between the radical right faction Republican Party lies and their actions, which are inherently contradictory and patently absurd. An alliance between a distinct entity like the radical right faction and the rest of the nation, whose perceived interests are viewed as contradictory, as a result of different commercial concerns, can not be readily formed; and, as they are already established, they’ve degenerated into a relation where faction, by the above means, is busily defrauding the public, who continues to function with good faith.
It is more probable to expect the exploitative and oppressive machinations we’ve experienced from the radical right faction Republican Party, acting under the impulse of opposite interests and antagonistic passions, which places the radical right faction in a false adversarial position. Consider the phony wars generating a mountain of national debt and efforts to privatize Social Security and Medicare and run them for the radical right faction’s profit. It’s interesting to note that the military success of Rome in foreign wars lead to constrictions of wealth that changed their Republic into a despotic state, too.
Let honest people judge, when given accurate and Truthful information, whether the factional dominance of America, by a separate extensive coordinated economic entity like the radical right faction and its political lackey the Republican Party, has conducted the US government in accordance with Constitutional guidelines and in a way secure against adversarial and corrupt abuses of power, which result in the improper interference into first the Civil Rights of citizens and then second the economic impoverishment of its citizens, whose sacred duty its the US government to protect. However, if government is run by paid employees of faction who are elected in processes fouled by money, how can government be anything but corrupt, like Rome was, when shamefully put up for sale at public auction by its protectors the praetorian guards. The radical right dominated Republican Party record of continuous proven charges of vice and corruption during the last two terms speaks for itself.
And, besides, the Afghanistan and Iraq wars must end – now!
