PORCELAIN DREAMS

The poem I was born to write remains unwritten.

            I’ve been passing time, waiting and watching, marooned in nocturnal reality.

            The soot deposited by the night wind brings the smell of decay,

as though the whole wide world is turning into dirt.

 

The time of dreams has not come,

            so everything is crumbling about me;

            and,  now I feel the earth congealing around my body

covering my eyes, burrowing beneath my fingernails, and stuffing my mouth.

 

Only, there is the agony of desire buried in my heart.

            The cold has turned the blossoms black and prevented them from opening,

            now I listen to the wind sadly sighing as it passes by.

It accompanies the night noise which comes to me through the walls.

 

Life seems to have turned into vitriolic earth,

            where we wait frozen for His face and voice to free us;

            so far, I’ve only heard His footstep, on the road outside my home -

walking through this world of wakeful dreams.

 

Time is spent waiting for His arrival,

            constantly preparing the house; but, He is already

transforming everything into the brilliance of the earth,

because its part of His universe of dreams.

 

I live surrounded by others’ bigoted illusions,

            in the hope that just once day will dawn

            blooming from this starry darkness;

and I’ll meet Him: but, ‘till then I’ll wait, locked in these porcelain moments.

 

 

WHEN PAIN WAKES ME

When pain wakes me

rising like a white Winter mist

obscuring the world

and making a burden of life:

 

            God knows that I love you,

            as your pale luminous hands

appear from nowhere

            to tenderly comfort my soul.

            And, wrapped in darkness,

            the umbra of Night

            calls to me, with her infinitely sad eyes,

            in the language of love.

And, agonizing with pain,

calling for God to provide a reprieve;

I’m caressed by those angelic hands

and ethereal eyes.

 

 

 

 

            CONVALESCENT HOURS

Oh, convalescent hours

that take me to you Lord,

and avoids their infamous iniquities,

and heals the anguish of their angst.

 

I step from the depths of their shadows,

and abandoning the immensity of their silence

enter the green translucent wail of early Spring,

who wanders through the empty chambers of Winter’s barren heart.

 

 

 

 

            ANOTHER APHORISM

Starling, belligerent bird maligned

by many, you flash your electric plumage

strutting around parking lots, and, in biannual flocks

spin like cartwheels across the sky; somewhere

in golden California, under empty blue heavens

where April never dies

and everything else is arrested,

starlings herald spring;

deceived, we follow profound ignorance,

Judas goats with no idea where they’re going,

and other foul things, arrogant and aggressive,

who rob us of happy, home grown song birds.

And, what’s worse,

they don’t know, they don’t understand.

 

 

 

            A BELATED NOEL

    The good lady of the house and her honest husband had just finished the morning meal, she was completing cleaning the kitchen, when the sound of the phone rang.  It was a seasons greetings call from a sales vendor.

 

    “Good woman of the house hurry!  The crowd is waiting outside the store doors.  Hurry, before the lost leader that’s attracting the reduced number of shoppers with less to spend is sold.  Nothing will be left but the cheap shoddy merchandise brought in specially for the sale for the unwary.  You know “caveat emptor”, it’s the merchants’ ploy to compensate for the reduced demand, of another lousy holiday season.”

     “Sweet husband, hurry, least the few folks, who still have a small amount of money, purchase in our absence the dwindling amount of items at Goodwill and Salvation Army and the swelling ranks of thrift shops that the sneaky Republicans now base the CPI on to deceive the public.  The pattern of consumer spending has noticeably changed under the Republican administrations, as even manufacturing jobs pay thousands of dollars less than before, and more good paying jobs are outsourced each year!”

    “Well dear at least we don’t have to try and hurry the kids!  The one’s moved back home after graduating from college with a computer science degree, having discovered that the only work available didn’t pay enough to make it on his own after loosing his subsidized student housing.  And, the other still lives here, too, not having found work with his business degree.  They’re assembled around the breakfast table.  They’re great kids but with no money and in their twenties they refuse to shop with dear old Mom and Dad!”

    The ubiquitous solicitors, with their gaping receptacles, eagerly help hold the doors open, just like they’re trained.  They didn’t help in vain.  Outside the glass doors, cold in the gray day the army of charity seekers have each received something for the rising river of spare change.

    Later that evening, business was brisk in the church lobby shops.  They were conspicuously left open this year before and after the holiday shows; however, the congregations quickly departed, bundled against freezing temperatures, and scurried for their cars.  The ministers richly dressed in fine conservative suites, where wrapping wool scarves around their necks and putting leather gloves on manicured hands to keep warm, while starting their foreign cars; as they, too, hurriedly departed, and drove towards their expensive homes in plush suburbs, where nobody really knows each other very well.  Noel!

 

 

 

 

 

            REFLECTING

Now here with love deposited in the rec. room sir

dear esteemed member in the nursing home of the year,

but in the final analysis irrelevant,

who neither for love nor money will restore life’s essential features,

your devoted lover, best friend and husband sends fare well

from behind this defunct window where I’ve disappeared

in rain streaked pane resting

among the humped back herd of car commuters

and their cow herders – “milk ‘em hard”.

 

I learned from you just how wonderful love is, specially It’s,

and now, know I owe you everything, in this endless sea of love.

Raindrops writhe down dirty glass,

everything’s so utterly transparent;

I’m trapped in the pain, calling across the infinity

of the silent abyss to you….

Many reflected universes mill around near and far,

with my empty limbs groping hungrily in the dark

I reach out for your double, reflecting from the dead luminous window.

 

 

 

 

            VELVET NEST

Evening quietly descends over the valley

waking the moon, who rises and climbs

into my window –

Love is the legacy of our ancestors –

and magically transports my heart

into radiant dust motes

dancing in beautiful beams of moonlight.

 

My blood congeals

into a melancholy icy slush –

Love is the promise we leave for the future.

 

Darkness and Death weave their domain

in and out of the splendid Night,

the sun shrinks into studied insignificance,

stars are evening phonemes

trembling into relative obscurity

next to the Moon

where it can, either, shine

radiant in its velvet nest,

or, dissolve into black obscurity.

 

 

 

 

 

            HOME

Waking I begin again life’s quest for beauty –

its still dark but the stars are already starting to leave the sky,

soon dawn will arrive and life’s cacophony of sound start –

where conniving lies rise with crimson mists.

 

Already it glows with cool green flames

soon a myriad of colors will follow with a blizzard of forms

so intense and immense it overwhelms the eye, which refuses to comprehend so many

                                                                                                                miraculous images.

Your warm laugh is freely given,

 

it falls lightly as the dew, those tears of darkness

that reside in night, and is where your rising footsteps come from:

this is your revelation,

revealing past illusions.

 

Past the concaves of what is lost

unpracticed as innocence.

I would not have you change,

nor join today’s cruel blackness.

 

To date changes have come over the domain of stone,

crumbling around your larges hoarded in goodness

sapphires, rubies and emeralds

depth and a cave;

 

remember the rose contains thorns.  And, for today’s riddle –

if contemporary ministers absolve your crucifixion

its society that’s drunk the modern form of hemlock,

first comes blessed numbness, and then, the paralysis soon follows!

 

I would spare you the ravages of age and keep you young,

I would filter the dirt from your phoenix dreams as the clouds filter sunlight.

In this land of dreamscapes where the valley is green, mountains are green,

forests are green, green rivers and green hillsides,

 

memories of other catastrophes tremble in the light

night can’t endure forever.

Sing glad anguish of the sacred women’s rites

seeds sprout, and blossoms unravel with all the colors of flowers.

 

I would have you there at the journey’s end

radiant with morning light that streams from your beautiful body

but springs from your goodness –

I’m home.

 

 

 

 

 

 

            MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE

I give this poem to you, it’s a small piece of me,

a time machine blindly blessed by chance

to land in distant epochs, where some are still free

and deposits the seed of my dream at twilight by curious circumstance;

 

and so, its sent to you, like a long lost letter now found, a strange mystery

for the rare gifted reader, like a guitar’s intense lyricisms,

as cerebral mystic memories

magically merge you with my esoteric rhythms;

 

blessed one, gazing down upon night’s beautiful starry sky,

and, into the abyss’s infinite depths, no one, except for me,

has comprehended!  Ephemeral, transient, and free

a responsible, loving soul who would rather die than live a lie!

 

With indifferent manners and a serene gaze,

which pierces through the stupid manipulated herd

that hates what it can’t understand and is conditioned to embrace the absurd,

a fraternal society of isolated, angelic souls, who communes across the vast

        and distant ages!

 

 

 

 

 

            ROUGH CROSSING

Stalemated, each side stood besieged,

In intractable positions, developed flanks extending from the bitterly contested center:

he storms from the room

still smarting beneath her bitter caustic comments and deafness to barren reason;

 

and, in a cold fury deserts her

glowering at the fierce flaming fire, “I could not love thee dear…”

is his last self-righteous retort that lingers dangling in the air.

She stands there steadfast, a Pygmalion in reverse;

 

and, with grim resolve,

entrenches herself in emotional fortifications;

while, he departs through the backdoor, with his bowels feeling stapled.

The recently decapitated roses shiver by the gaunt leafless trees.

 

Achtung!  They shout at him

diplomatic with Tocqvelean judicious insight.

Already, he begins to make haste more slowly and with due deliberation,

dissolves into the wet and gray of a barren winter landscape,

where bleak wind burrowed hillsides are home to penetrating mists;

but, pondering from the lofty heights of ego fortified battlements,

and already besieged by a small nagging doubt that’s quickly pushed aside,

he proudly marches on intractable in his folly.

 

Down the desolate, rain drenched street,

where witnessed by ruffled ravens and disgruntled cats:

its victory at all costs!

He couldn’t exist in a base servile state!  She had to compromise!

 

Let her nurse her irrational injured pride,

he was heading for the streets.

She could keep the house, bursting with silence and haunted with memories;

now that they were apart, it was more a mausoleum than a home.

 

From on top of precipice moments he looked down at the end of the flooded world,

he began to coldly calculate the cost of principle,

and then, comprehensively analyzed all aspects of his losses

and finally, compared and contrasted them against what there was to be gained.

 

There are those who say its middle age complaisance,

and others say its fear; but, its not any of those things.

Its not even the prospect of the aggravation of right wing prostitutes and perverts

hell hot and rotting with wicked deceit that called him back.

 

They hadn’t responded quick enough to converge yet with their usual evil ambushes,

working their malice and spite for any of their usual variety of set ups .

Besides, they weren’t in a hurry, they thought they’d won after subliminating my wife,

and transforming her into an overbearing spouse.

 

His step was heavy with sadness,

it felt as though the flame of his soul had been extinguished.

Above, giant cloud formations loomed huge almost obscuring heaven,

their austere corpse colored presence oppressed the day and darkened everything.

 

As if on command by a life hating tyrant,

a bombardment of raindrops descended

landing on every building, person and car in sight,

he felt cold and miserable and vulnerable beneath the weeping sepulchral sky.

 

 When penetrating the hostile silence he heard the welcome sound of salvation,

on the far side of a steady stream of skull headed drivers,

the majority of who malevolently  leered like hungry monstrous predators,

whose angry cars complained garrulously all the way down the street.

 

 

Denied their prey, they had behaved bestially and had sadistically tormented us

by whipping our petty irritations and daily strife into frenzied state

they had subliminally excited our emotions elevating them into an extreme state

until they became grotesques like misshapen shadows on a wall.

 

Motivated by pleasure and profit these sick extremists brag

about torturously stretching fellow human beings’ emotions on subliminal racks.

They think its alright to sadistically hurt people

because they leave no visible scars.

 

He limped forward toward the car, whose window was rolled down;

Odysseus wasn’t as happy, when he heard her sweet voice kindly saying,

“Hey, Mr., don’t I know you from the book stalls on the left bank?”

which was met with a conciliatory grin.

 

 

 

Obviously, everything stated in Rumor Mill is the opinion of mockingbird’s editor and staff.

 

                                                RUMOR MILL

                        The war goes on and on and on and on and on….

            Iraq has been subjected to an election process, how Democratic it proves to be remains to be seen.  One can only hope that it proves more honest and fair, in terms of the integrity of its Democratic outcomes, than its American counter part.  If its existence is dependant on the continued presence of the American military, then the election becomes irrelevant.  The critical factor will be whether any American troops remain deployed in their hostile state, and the USA continues to be ruinously over extended.

            The media will play an essential role in how much Americans know and understand.  It is hoped the American public will be provided with enough accurate information in a timely fashion to make good decisions, because without it the US Democracy can not effectively function.  However, in the wake of the media’s pathetically inadequate performance pertaining to inaugural day coverage little hope can realistically be held.  Consider the nonexistent coverage of spontaneous street demonstrations involving thousands of American citizens, which occurred in this moderately large city that is home to the Mockingbird publication, demonstrations which were repeated all across the nation.  According to the media, which exclusively covered the inauguration in Washington D. C., they didn’t exist. What a complete distortion of the political environment in the USA.  The media’s position deliberately fostered feelings of frustration, isolation and futility, which cynically helps to impair the development of effective dissident political action.

            If it is impossible to correct the fraudulent mistake of the last election and America is stuck being afflicted with the dismal performance of the current administration, then the American government must make priorities and determine what needs to be done.  America confronts three basic alternatives 1) do nothing and hope things improve, 2) stay the Republican’s present ruinous course which resulted in the world’s largest debt, and the world’s largest trade deficits, and generated three foreign wars, 3) develop a politically viable pragmatic alternative.  Under the USA’s current economic constraints option number three seems to make the most sense.

            The first thing the USA needs to do is live within its means.  If procuring more revenues isn’t possible then America needs to spend less.  Do the big spending Republicans continue over extending the USA abroad, bleeding the economy and exacerbating the intolerably large trade deficit, futilely trying to be all things to all people; who are callously indifferent to USA needs, with ill advised and obsolete military adventuristic gunboat diplomacy.  Or, do the Republicans cut what’s left of good solid domestic policies which help America’s economy and people.  Rumor Mill isn’t referring to the kinds of government spending we’ve grown to expect from the Republican Party, which exclusively views government as a conduit from the pockets of the American public into a few very rich people’s private bank accounts, and functions as a cumulative-circular-causatory-spiral in a negative direction on the economy.  The first thing that must be immediately done is to stop the foreign wars and return US troops home.  So far the election in Iraq hasn’t accomplished either. 

The good citizens can best support our troops by bringing them home – now!  Remember, the Republican Bush/Cheney administration lied to the US public twice before precipitously invading a legitimate Democracy, regardless of what we thought of its leaders.  Would we tolerate such aggressive arrogant behavior if it occurred to the United States? The lies justifying our invasion and subsequent war were that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and they were involved with the terrorists and might in the future give them aid in the form of the nonexistent weapons of mass destruction.   Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction.  And, its to absurd to even conceive (unless perhaps your Bush & Cheney) that Iraq would in the future give weapons of mass destruction to terrorist groups recruited from ethnic and religious groups that Hussein had recently been fighting and dropping nerve gas on, with full US knowledge and support under previous Republican administrations.  Besides making the USA look like contemporary Nazis, to the rest of the world; we embarrass ourselves with such obviously self-serving, transparent lies.  These wars hurt our economy, and they are disastrous as far as pursuing legitimate USA foreign policy objectives is concerned.

Any criterion developed to disengage the USA from belligerencies with the middle-east and bring our troops home will be arbitrary.  The Republican Party has already committed the USA to this course of action during the last election.  It’s as easy as publicly stating that all USA responsibilities have been realized in the region, without ever specifically stating what they were, and bring them home.  But, the fact is that the right wing factional elements, who have been receiving the proceeds from Iraq oil during the war, continue to benefit from American and Iraqi pain.  What the USA public is left to decide, is the answer to the question of which is it, incompetence &/or greed that’s currently motivating Bush/Cheney’s Republican administration.

 

 

 

                        ENTITLEMENTS, THE UNDISCLOSED

                                    CONTRIBUTING FACTOR

The Republican Party has used the mid-east wars as a means to wage a camouflaged attack on the USA entitlements Social Security and Medicare.  Bush/Cheney have waged a relentless campaign against these essential beneficial domestic programs, in an effort to privatize them and provide a new form of corporate welfare.  Also, it widens the cumulative-causatory-spiral, by replacing an excellent public program by the people for the people with a program that takes money from the public and gives it to Republican special interests and the few very wealthy individuals who control them.  The obvious explanation is simply (maybe not so good but certainly) good old fashioned greed.  However, it’s a little more complicated.

The power elite of the radical right is to large to constitute a homogenous unified whole.  It is a limited number of generally complimentary but sometimes competitive economic elements.  Within that group during processes of constriction of economic activity competition for limited resources becomes intense.  And, to date certain members of the ruling elite have been identified as having two critical advantages, which it has been thought by some of their competitors to provide them with insurmountable unfair advantages.  First, is to have their incoming assets be classified as tax free.  The second, is to have a guaranteed source of annual income.  If one combines the recent tax proposals by the Republicans with the Republican measures to privatize the entitlement programs you accomplish making the investment environment that the ruling elite operate and compete in more uniform, and consequentially fair.  Or, so it is thought.

The illusory benefits (to be explained in a brief moment below) to be obtained by a very small number of extraordinarily powerful members within the power elite are overwhelmingly negated by certain unfortunate negative effects caused by these proposals.   The real reason for success of elements within the power elite is tax benefits coupled with cheating.  As anyone knows tax consequences are very important, they are documented from mankind’s earliest historical records ranging from Egyptian and Babylonian hieroglyphics, through the more advanced writings of Aristotle and the Tao Te Ching, up to and including current economic theory.  But, rather than following greed driven privatizing Social Security schemes, which will impair the positive functions of public operated Social Security, like guaranteed minimum demand during down turns in the economy, financially protecting senior citizens and promoting social stability, and serving as a ballast to contemporary international money markets.  We should proceed in a more careful, prudent fashion.

A stable secure source of adequate government funding must be found.  The VATs (value added tax) would be best.  It has the merits of stability and security and flexibility, because it can be adjusted to any level necessary to meet future government demand.  Further, it is fair in that all economic activity would be taxed alike.  Next, it doesn’t ill advisably remove the greatest portion of assets from government tax roles, which places an unfair injurious tax burden on those who can afford to pay for it least.  Finally, it has the added benefit of generating adequate government revenues, while simultaneously reducing government bureaucracy, without transferring additional accounting costs to business; they would continue, as part of their regular accounting practices, to keep accurate records on their tax contributions.  It has the additional merit of being self-policing, by virtue of the fact that no one would want to pay some one else’s taxes. 

Restructuring the intelligence community is the next order of business.  The success of certain elements of the power elite rests not on annual contributions but on cheating.  They currently receive inside data from the intelligence community before their competitors.  This data is then converted into meaningful information by the best investment organization that money can buy.  It results in an economic scenario literally analogous to leading a fund.  Only, instead of leading a fund’s assets, they are able to lead the entire world’s investment community.  The principal is the same the only difference is the scale.

If, these three corrections stopping the war and bringing US troops home, replacing the income tax with VATs, and restructuring the intelligence community are made in a timely fashion the United States of America should see a resurgence in its economic prospects.  Then, the USA can solve its revenue problems and eliminate the world’s largest debt.  By stopping the war and bringing US troops home, combined with a few other major adjustments, it will correct the world’s largest trade deficits. And, by preventing the highly dubious prospect of privatizing Social Security and Medicare from occurring, prevent destabilizing international money markets; and, their accompanying patterns of economic activity, which will be characterized by chaotic bubble and bust periods.  In addition, it will prevent the wide oscillations in the economy from being coupled to intermittent periods of protracted severe depressions, and the social unrest that history has taught us to associate with these economic events.  The power elite will experience parity, with the uniform tax treatment of all economic activity and the annual infusion of investment income that will be provided to all participants by an improved performing economy, instead of the unfair practices and distribution inherent in an exploited country and a plundered government.

Unfortunately, the Republican Party is committed to another inferior view of government.  They view it exclusively as a means of making money.  This is what they know, and because of their archaic view of power there isn’t anything that they are likely to do about it.  Compounding the problem for them and so, too, of course for the nation is their accompanying organization and its internal operational dynamics, which provide it with labor and management inputs that are not all that one would hope for –see issues’ essays prior to the last election, for how tyranny impairs labor factorial inputs.

 

 

 

 

                        AMERICA’S RADICAL RIGHT

                             DEALING WITH DISSENT

 

Dissent and how it is treated is a distinguishing characteristic which helps define a culture, age and social structure.  Dissent is a universal characteristic, which has been with mankind since the beginning of creation and is essential for humanity’s progress and survival.  Dissent performs a positive function which helps society realize its fundamental objectives by direct contributions channeled through three essential features.  There is not an idea which society now takes for granted that did not have its point of origin with one individual as dissent.  Unfortunately, the ruling elite, because of certain tendencies characteristic of tyranny, repudiates dissent and its right to exist.  The radical right doesn’t understand its critical role and inherent function in the continued progress and prosperity of mankind.  The following started out as a diatribe against the stupid paranoid abuses tyranny makes of power, but on careful reflection it was concluded that restricting the parameters of analysis to an objective consideration of dissent would better aid our further understanding, some of the material may be objectionable because of the controversial behavior this topic has generated in some of its participants; but, the intent is not to antagonize but rather, as previously stated, to better comprehend this interesting and potentially valuable basic human characteristic.

The distribution pattern of all psychological and physiological characteristics is a non-culturally bound phenomenon.  Human characteristics are universally distributed in a pattern named the natural log rhythm.  The distribution pattern is bisymmetrical and when plotted on a graph manifests itself as the familiar bell shaped curve.  Any deviation from this distribution pattern will result in a skewed pattern and is the consequence of extraordinary intervening external factors.

For those of us with a strong belief in God this distribution pattern has some rather profound consequences, which we will briefly mention because of the extreme religious belief (some contend are pseudo-religious) of part of the ruling elite.  The litmus test to determine extremism is if an individual and/or group hold an intolerant attitude, which denies the right of others to believe differently from it.  And, if this distribution pattern is true, and the natural log rhythm distribution pattern is the deliberate work of no less than God; then, to deny individuals the right to disagree becomes a sacrilegious, blasphemous act.  After all, the Bible, which is held to be the written word of God, repeatedly opposes oppression, advocates tolerance, “do unto others what you’d have done unto you”, and diversity, “there are many mansions in my Father’s house”.  Let’s look more closely, God, in Its infinite loving wisdom and kind goodness, in order to provide us with an optimum opportunity to survive, prosper and be happy made mankind with the ability to reason and in a unique combination of characteristics that when viewed in the aggregate form the natural log rhythm distribution pattern.  This act guaranteed that no matter how the environment and mankind evolved humanity would, with its ability to think combined with a bisymmetrical distribution of mental and physical features, be situated with an optimal chance to survive.  The subtle brilliance of this act is astonishing.  However, it has certain consequences in terms of social organizations and political actions.  There will always be dissent.  And, theologically the relevant question becomes, “How would God, who being good is fair and loves us all equally, want It’s children to be treated, for behaving as God made them in Its infinite wisdom”?!?

As noted the question of how a society deals with dissent determines whether it is a tyranny, regardless of the outward form its government takes.  Historically, in the pre- prohibition eras the American government encouraged diversity and dissent, as it grew and developed and exercised Democracy, when it considered all aspects of the various issues that confronted it.  Of course there was overlapping of representational functions, but basically, the country was lead by well educated successful individuals from three basic areas government, business and universities.  The interests of property were represented by business, the middle classes of people by government and the intellectuals were represented by universities.  The universities provided the intellectuals with a tolerant environment where they could generate creative approaches to life’s concerns; and, they functioned as public forums for debate, where ideas openly competed for acceptance.  This process facilitated the development of ideas and the mental skills of their advocates.  The creativity of the intellectual community didn’t occur in isolation in the proverbial white tower, the creative efforts of the university where augmented by two important sub-cultural groups, an intellectual elite and a bohemian artist community, which both served to promote progress and to constructively absorb the fringe elements of society, which existed on either side of the large, conservative, middle class bulge of the bell shaped curve.  Also, the subculture groups provided a way to stabilize society without resorting to the expensive and oppressive means that ultimately undermine Democracy’s critical core concepts of equality, liberty and property.  These subculture communities were usually located in the older, poorer, central districts, where their creative contributions and stabilizing functions could be efficiently utilized by the surrounding, prosperous upper and middle and classes.  This stable pluralistic social pattern, with its representative Democratic government pattern, soon became the envy of the freedom loving world; and, it developed the highest standard of living, with the greatest degree of collective happiness, as substantiated by the relative statistics on immigration and expatriation. 

The way the radical right handles the issue of dissent proves that fundamentally it’s a tyranny, which is incapable of successfully resolving complex issues.  Complex issues contain many factors which need to be carefully considered, and this can’t be done effectively without a process which includes wide ranging dissent on a multitude of levels.  On any of a variety of issues the radical right simplistically contends that you are either with them or against them.  And, anyone who is against them is unpatriotic and potentially vulnerable.  This undifferentiated response is unfortunate, because inherent in a nation as large as the USA, with its rich and varied cultural background, is the sociological characteristic known as plurality.  The inevitable consequence of this fact is for there to exist in America a healthy amount of diversity on every issue, which often manifests itself in politics as dissent.  This is not only a positive situation it is essential for continued progress and prosperity, which the last 200 years of American history has more than adequately proven.  The success of the United States is a measure of the success of its pluralistic representational form of Democratic government, and how well that government has successfully protected its citizens’ rights from their greatest threat: the abuse of power.   Unfortunately, governments who descend into domestic generated tyranny cease to function for the good of its people, and they no longer protect the citizens’ Civil Rights.  Today, the Democratic Party is the only viable political option to right wing sponsored extremism in the USA, and while they, too, are held hostage in many respects by the radical right propaganda machine, at least they are committed to an inclusive broad base constituency and the core values of Democracy.

Tyrannies view governments as a means of making money for their narrow factional interests and their corrupt sycophants.  The sycophants are viewed as a necessary expense, because they broaden their political base of power to a sustainable stable level.  Also, they serve as a dichotomous means of conditioning society to be corrupted and exploited by being models of corruption themselves, and behaving in ways which generate fear among other members of the exploited lower classes who are the primary classes being oppressed and exploited.  The progression works like this, first they make a nation feel threatened with a high profile event (like Sept. 11) that they contrive if necessary, and use it as a pretense to steal a society’s civil rights; then, after conditioning society to be without civil rights and motivated by fear, they steal the unresisting citizens’ wealth and natural resources.  And, in the process, just like all the tyrannies which have preceded them, the radical right abuses power to yoke society to their prejudices.  After all, isn’t that what the use of power is all about to a tyrant, to forge society into the image of their bigoted bias, besides corruptly diverting a nation’s wealth for their own private use?  In pursuing policies which exploit a nation’s resources tyranny constricts wealth, which is injurious to all other classes; but, it hurts the middle class worst.  The middle class atrophies, until society bifurcates and becomes dichotomous.  The problem with bifurcation is that it is an inherently unstable transitory state; which, either deteriorates into chaotic conditions, or it progresses into more stable states usually characterized by large healthy middle classes.    Contradistinctively, in political dichotomies, the existence of hypocritical, cloning sycophants copying the bigotry of a small class of ruling elite is another characteristic of tyranny, where base sycophants embrace the tyrants’ prejudices, as a means of trying to improve their personal positions, in order to receive more money from the corrupt practices that exploit and ultimately will impoverish the country.

Inversely, good government exists for the benefit of its citizens, and it strives to obtain this benevolent objective by protecting the people’s fundamental Civil Rights.  Originally, people come together to realize certain fundamental objectives.  They come together for personal safety, and the protection of their property.   They come together for increased prosperity, which is obtained by better utilization of available resources by means of diversification and specialization, which only larger social groups can accomplish.  They come together to better control the distribution and development of available resources.  And, they come together to help provide a matrix for meeting mankind’s inherent social impulses, which expand humanity’s gene pool and help improve and strengthen the species and its prospects of survival.  It is not the intent of this essay, and it is certainly beyond its limited scope, to digress into the long evolutionary history of human society and its civil institutions, it suffices for our purposes to point out the basic legitimate objectives of society and the essential role to obtain them that public institutions perform.  In short people come together and establish governments, just like our forefather’s stated in the Declaration of Independence and in the preamble to The Constitution, in order to realize life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  The result is a stable, prosperous, free nation, whose social structure and wealth distribution reflect the natural log rhythm’s bell shaped curve, in a large, healthy, affluent middle class, which both stabilizes society with a minimum of expense and interference from government and provides a productive domestic market for its goods and services.

The radical right repudiates mankind’s very valuable inherent fundamental diversity.  In spite of the fact that no matter what the issue is God has created people so that they will always disagree, the radical right has developed a system which attacks people for dissenting.  Further, they have developed a popular social movement motivated by pleasure and profit, which they’ve placed beyond the reach of legal restraint and positioned it between God’s covenant and mankind.  The radical right political movement has, just like all other historical examples extending through the Roman Republic to the ancient Greek city states, publicly degenerated into political tyranny and privately degenerated into a new expression of an old problem - organized crime.  This is predictable, because besides not allowing other opinions the radical right recruit members from people who are sympathetic to their ideological bias and methods of operation.  They are then subjected to an unfortunate process that brutalizes and corrupts, and they are surrounded by people of a like stamp, which narrows and solidifies their bigoted bias without being able to observe other contrary examples which would make them aware of their indoctrination.  The only potential way an operative has, to become aware of what is happening to them, is to extricate themselves from the movement, which is extremely hard to do considering the extensive degree that the radical right dominates America’s media, which it employees to shape public opinion.

The radical right pays sycophants to make people misbehave in serious ways which include committing felonies.  They are said to employ subliminal virtual reality technologies, with the capacity to be teleported to their targeted victims; where they are first employed to shape and predispose the victims toward committing any one of number of horrible types of crime, and then they induce the victim into committing the  monstrous crime that they have planned, which has included brutal murders, disgusting sex crimes including rapes, and depraved perverse acts; and, they have even perverted adults and induced the hapless victims into committing that most heinous of acts - child abuse, both sexual and physical.  There are a few common elements among the radical right generated crimes; they are designed to receive optimum attention from the radical right owned and dominated propaganda machine; and, in season they are designed to influence political out comes; and, they are designed to condition society to embrace the tyrants prejudices; and, they are designed to generate a maximum amount of revenue for the radical right sycophants.  The radical right continues to wage what they characterize as a relentless war against dissent, which they spuriously and self-servingly claim is for the sake of kids.

After deceptively trying to assume the moral high ground, the radical right has decided that it is both appropriate and expedient to deal with dissent by political means, in ways which generally criminalize it.   In efforts to vilify their intended victims and remove the wicked stigma associated with their evil behavior, they pervert and torture private citizens for thinking in ways that they do not approve.  They spend money from other aspects of their criminal activity to pay for vicious seduction, perverse predation, and in efforts to spawn various forms of divisive hate, with crime families that include narcs, pimps, prostitutes, perverts and thugs.  Also, the radical right regularly include in their sex crime operations young prepubescent children, which financially benefits families’ some of whose parents have become too old to be effective prostitutes any longer, by exploiting their children as prostitutes and perverts as young as possible, to extend the years that they can make money from the trade; but, which constitutes a virulent form of child abuse, in approved operations organized and conducted centrally by the radical right organization.  In some instance there are crime families that now extend for three and four generations, with each preceding generation getting a percentage of the take.  Finally, the immoral criminal behavior of the radical right sycophants have negatively effected the families of their targeted victims, too, besides hurting and destroying the victims, parents and children are imprisoned which destroys and disrupts families, victims are fired from jobs, food is taken from dissenters’ children’s mouths, and families are driven from their homes.  Citizens are routinely physically and psychologically tortured, which is a norm of behavior that the radical right employs in its misguided efforts to deal with dissent.  The targeted victims and their families are subject to coercion, extortion, slander and fraud, by the career criminals and extremists elements who comprise the majority of America’s radical right.  This is not intended to be an abusive character assassination, nor is it intended to be an exhaustive catalogue of the behaviors embraced by the radical right in their daily operations.  It is merely an attempt at an honest representation of practices employed in their business of oppression, a descriptive highlighting of the treatment private citizens are currently being subjected to by the radical right.  All part of the radical right’s efforts to stop a God given inherent characteristic of man - dissent.

Dissent means to think and advocate an idea about an issue at variance to someone else, in a way that seems both right and reasonable to an individual who is merely advocating the promotion of personal happiness, to the extent that it doesn’t directly violate somebody else’s Civil Rights.  One can’t help but wonder how the radical right became so extreme?  There are a variety of reasons.  First, the lack of healthy diverging opinions among the members of the radical right prevented a comparative perspective, which would catalyze thought and discussion which would have exposed the extreme nature of methods being adopted.  Second, sycophants saw that the members moving ahead were employing extreme measures, which meant extremist were advanced into position of greater authority and resulted in the movement becoming steadily more extreme in terms of the methods that were employed.  Third, utilizing analogies like being on the same page, pulling the same way, and the inevitable vacuous sports clichés, which were used as simplistic stop gaps and inferior substitutes for thought; but, they were grossly inadequate, and they didn’t apply to the difficult issues inherent in the complex multifaceted business that is life.  Fourth, the effect of filling the need of a propaganda machine, which quickly becomes indifferent to the level of violence in criminal acts, had an adverse effect on employing more moderate forms of behavior, as tools of intervention.  Fifth, the economic advantage in scaled up crimes caused larger and more virulent operations to be adopted.  Sixth, sycophants were conditioned to accept cruel and brutal behaviors as being ordinary, and vice was being adopted and treated as if it were virtue.  Seventh, the movement attracted every malfeasant person with sadistic tendencies in the country.  Eighth, Religious organizations were overwhelmed by money, and we know what happened to their dissident members.  Ninth, while the radical right was becoming more extreme and more corrupt it started running out of victims (before the radical right contrived crack epidemic, under the Republican Reagon/Bush administration, heroin and cocaine users only comprised about ½% of the population), in an effort to find more victims, it expanded its operations, for corrupt reasons, to include pot smokers, which meant that initially 75% of the population could potentially be victims, the number of  sycophants could be increased which would help the radical right politically, and the radical right sycophants could sustain the higher standards of living that they had become accustom to, and society would be more effectively conditioned to be oppressed, and society would reflect the prejudices of its ruling elite.  And tenth, because of the innocuous nature of some of the targeted recreational behaviors, while hated by extremist elements in the radical right, they were viewed by participating people as being reasonable and beneficial in terms of promoting their personal happiness, which meant that to be behaviorally effective intervention needed to become extreme in order for it to be successful.  And, sycophants became cruel and hardened to disproportionately extreme intervention.  Enter the horrific crimes and manipulated bogus studies designed by the radical right to be associated by the public with smoking pot.  The right rule of reason and moderation never had a chance.  And, this is only one example of people targeted by the radical right for extinction, for the heinous crime of dissent.

The Rumor Mill can’t think of a worse scenario for dealing with dissent.  It dooms society to a dangerous precedent.  There will always be dissent.  Is this how we wish to handle it, by abusing power in ways destructive of our Democratic institutions, and in ways which will result in vice ridden and corrupt organized crime and the most virulent form of tyranny known to man, tyranny by a manipulated mob?  The radical right’s method of intervention arbitrarily criminalizes issues and yokes society to its prejudices. When the radical right attacks dissent it simultaneously destroys equality and undermines egalitarian safeguards.  It is impossible to attack legitimate forms of dissent (behavior that respects the rights of others) without it degenerating into methods of oppression that abuse power and result in patterns of corruption, which ultimately end in tyranny and attacks on our Civil Rights.  We ought to be encouraging creative and varied thought, as a means of promoting prosperity and accelerating progress.  We should resolve issues in ways that are consistent with Democracy’s core values of equality, liberty and egalitarian safeguards; and, we should establish enlightened policies that are in harmony with how God made mankind, in ways complimentary with the natural log rhythm characterized by the bell shape curve.  Finally, we should be helping not hurting our fellow citizens, in efforts to obtain and optimize happiness for all our citizens, which includes unpopular minorities and not just those who happen to agree with the majority.  Remembering the words we ask all our children in public school to say at the beginning of every school day, “one nation under God with liberty and justice for all”.

 

 

 

SPEED KILLS

            The radical right is utilizing speed to justify itself and their erroneous policies.  Speed was selected, because of all the drugs utilized recreationally by man, it is the most devastating.  The previous use of heroin and cocaine for propaganda purposes and the fact that the radical right has a well known monopoly on their international and domestic marketing networks made an alternative drug not recently associated with them seem attractive.  The effort is essentially a variation of erroneous thought called the straw man argument, where an erroneous idea is presented and then repudiated, which is then supposed to justify another bad idea which is advanced in its stead.  However, nowhere in this process does the radical right ever inform the public what its nefarious role has been.  What the radical right has been doing is to deal deceitfully with the public, it has utilized another contrived crises to condition the public into accepting the presence and practices of the radical right.  And, they hope to fool the public into viewing them in a positive and beneficial light.  The radical right is trying to take over the opposition to abusing speed, and they are trying to extend it into an endorsement for a generalized prohibition, to include anything they’re bigoted biases oppose.  As if the public needs warning about anything so obvious as the ravages that result from abusing speed.

            Speed has been with man a long time, and in its more moderate forms is pleasant and even beneficial.  There are very few who would think to try and oppose people’s morning dose of stimulant, which coffee and tea constitutes.  Initially, speed was used by the medical communities in a variety of ways.  It was used as an antidepressant and as a means to help people lose weight.  Gradually, it moved into the private sector where its consumption bordered on abuse, when truck drivers and other occupations utilized its peculiar ability to retard the on set of sleep to become more productive.  And, workers used it to enhance performance for short periods of time, in futile efforts to keep up with mechanized methods of production.  Unfortunately, it was discovered to cause short term feelings of euphoria, with ensuing devastating negative effects.  When ingested intravenously it produces an  initial euphoric rush that is soon replaced by extended periods of time called crashing that’s characterized by excruciating episodes of psychotic, paranoiac and compulsive behavior, to name but a few of speed’s bizarre psychological behaviors.  It generates some nasty negative physical side effects, too, like dehydration and impotence.  And, if the previous negative consequences weren’t bad enough to cause aversion for most folks, speed’s consumption cycle is followed by long periods of exhaustion, where people become moody and emotionally unstable.  The consumption cycle is completed with the speed freak’s teeth becoming bad; and, because speed is so physically hard on a person’s body speed freaks are generally emaciate, and they exhibit poor overall health.  Fortunately, for obvious reasons, there are few people who abuse speed; and, those who do, generally quickly burn out.

Enter the radical right, to thwart the growing criticism against the vice and corruption that tyranny’s abuse of power inexorably leads, the radical right recently flooded the Pacific Northwest with speed.  The radical right, for reasons discussed in previous essays which discussed how tyranny impairs labor, employed an operation it has repeatedly employed before in the USA, Switzerland, India, Holland, Iran, Brazil and Mexico to name a few.  This is an extension of what had previously happened to our country during the start of the Reagon /Bush administration, when the radical right flooded the country with first crack and later heroin, as a means of creating a contrived crises, to stampede the citizens into taking ill advised measures eclipsing private citizens’ personal freedoms; which, they then used the illegal profits from to pay for a wide range of criminal activity like prostitution and acts of violence in the USA, and to fund illegal weapons sails and illegal undeclared wars all around the globe.  The radical right later tried something similar on a regional basis, this time flooding Utah with the unfortunate speed freaks, trying to raise opposition to issues of personal freedom by importing large numbers of those tragic figures; who where induced to camp in high profile locations, like parks where their liter and bizarre behavior where used to create general aversion and opposition, by the good people of that state; which was generalized against all manner of other tentatively related moderate and responsible recreational behaviors, in an effort designed to deliberately deceive and manipulate that state’s public opinion.  The radical right’s important role organizing and causing these unfortunate people to be there went undisclosed.

In the Pacific Northwest, speed was settled on, too.  In Oregon the radical right’s control of the international drug trade was brought home, when a few short years before they were exposed to an operation which brought people into the Pacific Northwest, to buy and sell the cocaine that the radical right was trying to market for profit and to gain influence in the region.  The corrupt operation went something like this.  First, they brought in dealers to satellite communities like Tigard, Gresham and Astoria, and not big urban centers with large established markets.  If you were going to deal and try not to get arrested and make a lot of money, would you go to New York or Tigard, Oregon?  Second, then they discovered that there was no one left locally to buy the coke, because they had already busted everyone when they took over the international supply scene, so, not to be discouraged, they brought in people that they had recruited abroad to establish a  contrived demand and buy the cocaine, which they had already imported.  Third, they had them all busted, because they stuck out like sore thumbs.  Fourth, the people were all illegal immigrants and so the radical right operatives were deported at great public expense, which from their perspective brought their paid vacation to the USA to an end.  And fifth, when they got home depending on the level of their involvement, they would receive their payoff, which varied from enough money to buy a used car for a cab, or a used truck to start a small business, a house, and maybe a piece of land anything to set them up in business and improve in some small way their lot in life, but, to the radical right it was the other side of an operation designed to duplicitously increase influence in the western hemisphere: functionally it meant establishing the power to compel people how they had to live.  This served to increase the radical right influence in Central and South American countries, and in the USA it increased by means of corruption the radical right influence eroding what was previously the solid Democratic constituency, who continued championing traditional issues like public housing, health care, education, and legitimate employment, important for the Hispanic vote. Also, another contributing factor was that the radical right had on hand a lot of the drugs necessary for manufacturing speed.  When their involvement in another stimulant, they named ecstasy, became known a few years back, they were prematurely forced out of business.  This meant that they could turn a tidy profit on what otherwise would have been a complete loss.  Finally, it was an election year.  Because of the two wars in the Middle East, it was felt that acts of the usual media blitzkrieg of escalating acts of violence would only be marginally effective on the electorate.  A campaign against speed was settled on as the best available alternative.   These are the factors which resulted in the in the unfortunate resurgence in the use of speed in the Pacific Northwest.

The only problem the radical right confronted was creditability.  The citizens in the region are accustomed to politically motivated election year contrived crises, in either drugs or violence.  Also, even during the 60’s there were very few speed freaks, most of who were avoided and pitied, and anyway, now most of them are either serving time or burned out and getting on with their lives.  But, the public have an attention span of days and not years, so as anticipated the disproportionate demand wasn’t noticed.  And, the radical right successfully trotted in with their special subliminal help and artificially created an increased level of demand amongst targeted folk – if one can call deliberately deceiving the public in a Democracy and subliminally inducing behaviors to hurt people, constitutes success.  Anyway, suddenly in the middle of another election year, the good people of the Pacific Northwest have been bombarded with how necessary the radical right are, and how the radical right are saving them from the scourge of speed.  Unfortunately, the radical right has somehow neglected, as usual, to mention their pivotal role.  But, they have, once again, been trying to generalize the speedy crises into opposition against everything else that they don’t like.

The radical right remains mute to the fact that any effort to market any drug in the USA can only be done with their knowledge and support.  The radical right continues to control the distribution network of drugs internationally and in this country, too.  Their ascendant position remains unchallenged, as their previously established monopoly continues to function intact.  Its position is unassailable because of two factors, the activities of their corrupt adjuncts the sycophant narcs, who function to stamp out any significant competition and who drive up the radical right’s prices and profits.  Also, the police prosecute people who aren’t protected by the corrupt radical right.  The effect is that any drug including SPEED has to go through their hands before it can get to the public.  Since the radical right busted the biker gangs during the 80’s, which controlled the majority of speed’s manufacture and distribution in the western part of the country there hasn’t been any active speed networks worth mentioning.  The small independent networks, which were blatantly obvious, were easily apprehended and eliminated during the same decade, in operations which busted people making the drug for personal consumption.  It firmly established what should be perfectly obvious to anyone, in the case of speed it’s ludicrously simple to track the sales of the chemicals necessary for its manufacture.  And, it is equally easy to monitor the quantities necessary for legitimate commercial purposes.  Any deviation from legitimate uses of the chemicals necessary for speed’s manufacture is immediately obvious and the apprehension of those involved almost inevitable.  One has to oppose the crass manipulation of public opinion by the radical right, and their efforts to flood a region in the country for corrupt political purposes.  Two wrongs don’t make a right, unless it’s the radical right; then, it becomes radically WRONG!
