CARRIE
Teenage girl discovers hidden
talent, unfortunately for the kids at school who torment
her. Much mayhem and nightmarish disaster occur.
'SALEM'S LOT
Evil comes in
the guise of a charming antique dealer with a VERY
malevolent friend determined to make everyone in the town
"undead".
THE SHINING
The hotel seems to be
able to talk to Danny because of his strange gift...what if
he's not the only one here who has it?
THE STAND
Bad enough we have to
imagine WHERE the ending occurs...do you dare ask yourself
WHEN it occurs?
THE DEAD ZONE
Watch your friends with
head injuries.
FIRESTARTER
If you're a
government employee, I'd be careful about which orders you
decide to follow. You just might be trying to clean up
something they lost control of.
CUJO
Could the evil menace attacking her
and endangering her son's life be her just desserts for
cheating on your husband? Could a movie studio be so
gutless that they tack a happy ending on to this
novel?
THE DARK TOWER: The
Gunslinger
You may just feel the cold hand at the
base of your spine telling you that even HE may not know
where he's going with this...and you may have to wait years
to hear the ending.
CHRISTINE
The next time you buy a
classic car, you should look into more than how often the
previous owner changed the oil.
PET
SEMATARY
The very last
sentence.
IT
Somewhere in
the Bible you'll read that those of us who are with God do
NOT talk to us after they've died...if you talk back,
you're liable to find out who they're really
with.
EYES OF THE DRAGON
No
real terror, unless for a minute you were afraid he was
going to devote himself entirely to writing books
for his daughter.
THE
TOMMYKNOCKERS
If all of your friends start
developing diverse talents such as complex mechanical
skills or magic, think back to the last time you dug
something up in your back yard.
MISERY
One of two things...that you
have someone somewhere who admires you just a little
too much, or that somewhere inside you a similar switch is
waiting to be flipped!
THE DARK
TOWER: The Drawing of the Three
This merry band the
Gunslinger assembles may just be the ones we depend on if
this thing leads to anything important.
THE DARK TOWER: The Wastelands
If the
two previous ones didn't make you cringe, imagine how long
it will take to expand on the introduction of the bizarre
stuff in the latter part of this one!
THE DARK HALF
This might not be a
work of fiction! I wouldn't cross Stephen King in broad
daylight after this one!
NEEDFUL
THINGS
Every time your life is thrown into utter
calamity, there may be someone pulling the strings and who
has only just begun...
GERALD'S
GAME
What it just may come to if you have to save
your own life...gruesome, but it works!
DOLORES CLAIBORNE
Because Stephen King
just might continue to write novels from a woman's point of
view.....yikes!
INSOMNIA
Well,
the title is enough to do it to me, but then I'm loaded
with caffeine. The real terror comes from a reference in
here which, depending on how you take it, just might link
one of these characters to THE DARK TOWER. Might
this mean that "Insomnia" will go on forever too?
ROSE MADDER
The fact that, if your
wife develops an extreme interest in art, you just
might be a dangerous nut case!
THE GREEN
MILE
The fact that no reasonable argument will help
the protagonist once he realizes what is really
going on. John Coffey is screwed!
DESPERATION
The fear that Richard
Bachman is using part of Stephen King's brain at this very
moment.
THE DARK TOWER: Wizards and
Glass
Because this might be another one you read all
the way through only to discover...it's still not
over!!
BAG OF
BONES
Basically this: Stephen King returns to his
roots and writes another great ghost story...and he fully
intends for you to be terrified. After the first
chapter of this one, you will know to leave the lights
on.
STORM OF THE
CENTURY
It depends on how you feel about opening the
new King book and finding out it's in teleplay form! Novel
readers, discuss.
THE GIRL WHO LOVED TOM WHATEVER
This
is the next one. I have no idea what's terrifying about it,
except for the fact that a little girl listens to the
radio. Must be set in the 90's.
