I took my bike to a Dyno when it had 2.000 miles / 3.200 Km. I broke it in by the manual. I trashed it on a Track Day when it had 1.600 miles. I am using 98 Octane Leaded Gas and Castrol SuperBike 100% motor oil. The engine is completely stock.
My tuner has a Dynojet Model 150 Dynamometer.
I was lucky with this particular bike. My tuner told me it was the most powerful stock R1 he had on his dyno until that day. Measured power at the rear wheel was 142 HP @ 10.500 rpm and max. torque was 108.5 N-m @ 8.500 rpm.
SAE Corrected power was 138.3 HP @ 10.500 rpm and SAE Corrected torque was 104.7 N-m.
He told me average R1's had 134-135 HP (SAE corrected) at the rear wheel.
So, my bike had 3-4 HP more than most... :-)
I have more dyno charts and I will post it here as soon as I scan them.
Top speed at the dyno was 307 kph / 192 mph at the redline. However, 294 kph was the highest indicated speed I managed to catch on camera...
On the highway, I once managed to reach 299 kph / 187 mph (without mirrors).
I was planning to add an Akrapovic slip-on, Factory Ti 1.1 Pro Kit and BMC Air Filter but since I wrecked my R1, I will save my money for a new bike...
The best source in the WWW for R1 dyno data is Greg Crowe's Performance Page.
