Layouts


Since the formation of the club in 1978 a wide variety of layouts have been constructed both by the club and its members


Current Layouts

-HO gauge

Garfield Avenue is the clubs American layout using DCC control.

-OO gauge

Modern image is represented by Fylde North whilst Muirhill is under construction.

A new finescale layout is now under construction - Leicester South
Construction is well advanced on Wilton as a replacement for the sold Wetherby layout.

-EM gauge

Hungerford was acquired in 2006.

-7mm

Construction has now started on a 7mm American standard and narrow gauge layout Flemingsburg Junction

- In addition many club members own layouts are to be found at exhibitions across the UK.

With DCC operation these include the O gauge BR(WR) Vine Street (Jon Dening), BR blue diesel era OO Bradford City Road (Neale Burrows), BR (ScR) OO Loch Dore(Roger Epps), Canadian Agawa Yard (Chris Dening)and Engine Shed Road (various members)

N gauge

The clubs original N gauge layout was Horton, which was sold in 1987/8.

Ilkley, the intended successor to Horton was never completed, and instead the the American layout, Rattlesnake Pass emerged. That layout was dismantled in 2004.

A modern image terminus was represented by Griffin Road which was sold following its appearance at the 2001 Warley NEC exhibition.

OO gauge

The original, then modern image, layout was Green Lane which was dismantled in 1987.

Evercreech Jn was the original finescale layout, and was sold in 1988.

The next finescale layout, Tebay, was sold in 2004.

Wetherby, sold in 2005, portrayed a junction station.

O gauge

7mm was represented by Fossebridge which was sold in 2006.
