Mississaugi River

A beautiful trip on the lower river from Aubrey Falls to Lake Huron at Blind River, Ontario. Or, stop short at Iron Bridge, Ontario, where a riverside saloon provides a cold beer and air conditioning for those in need.

Three hydroelectric dams require portaging, but did not distract from the beauty and enjoyment of the river. This route is highly recommended and can be extended by canoeing the upper river above Aubrey Falls which was the wilderness home of Grey Owl.
