Kamiskotia River

Unknown to us, we were probably the first visitors this river had in numerous years when we canoed it around 1983. The trip turned out to be a virtual hike downstream hauling the canoe over logs and beaver dams for a good part of the upper river. Portages were so overgrown as to be virtually non-existent. Very easy to break a leg here!!

A beautiful waterfalls greets you as you arrive at the Mattagami River which is an easy paddle upstream to the town of Timmins Ontario.
