| We put Louis to sleep today. He had been sick for the past month and seemed unable to go on. He had problems with his kidneys. If I could just ask all of you who knew him to spend a moment and think about him, I think that would make his journey complete. Louis was my companion from the 12th of July, 1997 until today, May 20th 1999at around 11:oo am Pacific Standard time. He will be missed. | |

| Henry, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I knew and loved Louis and I will miss him. I remember when you first got him, how he was such a playful kitten. Every time I was over your house I always had to see him and pet him. He will be sorley missed. Carl | |
| Dear Henry, Just read your mail about Louis... ouch, ouch. I am so sorry. When I spoke to Jenn this weekend and she told me what Louis was doing, I reminded her about Tinker. It is the hardest decision in the world to make when a pet that we've loved so much, and who loved us too, is so sick and we have to choose to end their pain. What a good relationship the two of you had. I'm sure that you have many memories of Louis that will keep you smiling. And wonder of all wonders, he left a legacy behind! Who could have known??
