Why a web site? Well.. it seemed like a good idea at the time. You see, once upon a time (1995), in a land far away (ESU), there lived a noble boy who had a web page. The boy forged his mighty web site within the great volcano PICO, and tempered it in Mosaic 2.0. It was a fine and powerful thing (okay, it had a picture of the moon phases on it, and had some links I liked). Time passed, and this boy grew discontent (and lazy) and was cast out of the land (dropped out). He left his mighty web site within the care of the great and powerful Elwood, of Server. Years later, the powerful beings who controlled Elwood noticed that this boy didn't live in their land anymore.. and, er.. so they took down the site. Lo, and there was great sadness in the land, for the boy feared he would never again have a "web presence" and would forget all that the great Elwood had shown him (ahem.. like spending 15 hours on IRC and downloading naughty things from alt.newsgroups). Time passed, and this boy went off to a great place of learning and was given great instruction in the fine art of "PC Repair and Troubleshooting 101" by the all knowing Ron Evans. From there, he was captured by a great beast and forced to serve in the slave galleries (okay.. the Help Desk..). Still this boy dreamed of a web site, and the power he once weilded over it. So using the magical hammer NOTEPAD, he built an all encompasing " Intranet Help Desk Guide." Stopping only briefly to forge the now famous "Transformers Power Point presentation." But then, he was plucked from his seat by a great winged beast, and brought across the great desert to a barely habitable far away land and deposited in the place that was to be his salvation. The boy sufferend immensly from the heat, and the distance from those people that were close to him. However, there he was able to summon the power to contact all of his former friends even from so far away. Eventually, the boy returned home, to be a hero (for all of about 2 months) where he was placed again in chains and.. well.. got bored one day and made a web site on Geocities. Well, that and because I had to say good bye to Louis, and what better way to do so than by sharing his memory with the *millions and millions of people who frequent this site and share things with me. For what I've done to the site recently, check out the updates page. Last updated July 15, 2003 (Link to Psylicon for more Photos!!) |
