Previous Study Days
April 21st 2001
The conference was held at Ayr Hospital and more than 80 delegates representing 14 units from around the south and south west area of Scotland were very pleased with the programme, venue and hospitality.
The first speaker presented on the assessment of the ill child and this was a refreshing insight in to assessment from a nursing point of view.
A very interesting presentation was given on updates in Burns treatment.
A talk by the police on their role in NAI investigation and how they deal with it gave a great insight into their work.
The afternoon session was opened by a talk on the work of nursing staff in the prison service and their range of work was varied and stimulating.
The closing speaker on forensics in A/E was very popular and made and excellent account of the role in forensics and how A/E staff can assist in preservation of evidence.
