How did S.W.E.N.G. (Scotland) come about?
While attending a conference aimed specifically at Emergency nurses, two colleagues discussed the possibility of forming a group - more specifically, a more localised one for their region - after experiencing, first-hand, the benefits of sharing ideas and recent progressions with other colleagues in the same specialist areas of emergency medicine.
They felt it would be beneficial for their colleagues and the links developed by such a group would mean that the information would be easily accessible and up-and-coming practices could be discussed and developed among other colleagues and nurses in the region.
