Having a Look |
So after a search on the web I see
some fan sites.......
hmmm.....They all say they reviewed a stolen script that's about a village that's
terrorized by creatures, 19th century, Amish, watch towers, red
slashes, crappy dialog.......
and some of them think the script may be bogus because its so crappy....
So we go have a look-see......
|
Taking a walk one nice fall day....to the place
is just over the hill....easy enough to get to (and someone told me what
days they are not back there shooting) ..hey---there is something in that
field....and its a watch tower!!!! ...the script is true!!!!! |
 |
 |
.....so we wander on back into the fields
I used to walk in all the time. WOW!!!.... They built a whole
village back here!!!! |
Wandering Around |
We figure...hey---lets just walk right
in....have a look around...we can always say we got lost hiking. We had a
grand old time...looking in the windows .. looking at all the props lying
around....rocking in the rocking chairs. It was neat... a lot of the
buildings were complete inside and out. |

The shed not to be used
|
Looking at all the plaster of paris stone
work....I can see what the rubber molds were for. (all these pics are from
another visit to the set. I didn't take a cameras the first time since we were
sure we would get caught...and I didn't want my camera confiscated.) |
The "south" watch tower. They built
two of these towers....other was on the north side. This tower overlooks a
local housing development (boy those people had an incredible view of the
production.). No real woods on the other side of it. When
the leaves were "up" it probably looked more like the edge of a
"woods". I guess they will "sweeten" that up in the film. Some of
the corn stalks have fallen down revealing the steel post they tied them
to. |

|
The greenhouse. |
A nice shot of the village with the sheep in the
foreground. |

|

|
The livestock poll-barn. All these structures
were real and functional. They kept all the animals on set (from what I
could see, cattle, sheep, and a dog) at this barn and in these fields
around it.
|
A "creatures" view of the village. |

|

|
Hey.... a black box!!!!!
Actually some junk left
lying around by a gaffer.
