Passing Thoughts I often imagine myself as a direct descendent of the greatest philosophers and Philosophy is one of my favorite hobbies (i.e sitting idly and thinking). I am planning to put my thoughts in this page and they are not always about philosophy and I think about a multitude of things and this page also includes some of the letters I never sent. This is my first attempt at writing a commentary or some thing which was intended to be a commentary. This is about Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" which dramatically alters the way we look at the present day world. I think the novel is more important today than the day it was written. On to The Commentary I don't write letters often and I find it very tiresome. But when I loved some time in the past I used to write atleast one in every two days. Still I haven't sent some of them. I don't even thought of sending them. I wrote them in my diary and kept it there. This the letter No.1. This is the first of atleast two parts i decided to write about our over-civilized society and itseffect on nature. I am always concerned about the way we live and the way it is affecting our surroundings. This is just a small attempt to point that discrepancy which is there in our civilization. |
