Hello and welcome. You've reached my travel page. Like most Americans, I've
travelled across the U.S. and into Canada and Mexico but I won't expound on that
here. These pages are strictly about my extended tour in Europe for all you travel
buffs. I've not travelled as much as some people, but what I have seen has changed
my life. Please note that if you're looking for sun, sand, and surf, you'll be
sorely disappointed - I despise abysmally warm climates and stay away from beaches as much
as is humanly possible!
As far as links go, I always check the International Travel Network (ITN) for all fare information (right, like I'm going to be making any grandiose trip anytime soon!) and Rick Steves is the only reason I've watched public television in the past 10 years. He always covers more of the "off the beaten track" areas of Europe and shows you what I consider to be more of the "true essence" of a country than what you can find at the places heavily populated by tourists.
So anyway, there are a few options to see where I've gone in Europe and to see some snapshots from the trip. You can (a) click on the passport to start at the beginning and follow my tour from Day One. You can also (b) go directly to either of the tours by clicking on each one respectively. Or if you have no desire to read through introductory pages and see the actual maps, then you can (c) just select the country of your choice below and read a summary of my experiences while there. They are in order according to when I was in each the first time.
Just a few technical notes: All of the maps on the corresponding pages have hotspots programmed into them. Clicking on them will take you to the individual countries just as option "c" above will. For each country page, the color scheme and map images have been copied from the larger map of Europe. I've also tried to include at least one link to that country's home page, where applicable.
In addition, I have links to some pictures in each country page with another link to a photo gallery for that country. You can only reach these galleries through the individual country pages and I've provided a drop-down box so that you can pick and choose which picture you want to see. The majority of photos are slow to load, since each picture is between 300 - 400 KB. Clicking on a link to an individual picture is the preferred method since the main page is faster to load and you're also reading an explanation of the picture.
