Unfortunately, not a lot to say about France.  The only place I visited was Calais, and I'd hardly call it "visiting".  Calais is the port you end up in when travelling from Dover in England to France.  All I remember about it was that the people were rude even if you spoke French (which I did).  I guess we Yanks have a terrible reputation over there!

If you want to find out more about France in its native language, you can go to Yahoo France.  The alternative is to visit the French Tourism Office site, which is written in English.

Anyway, I'm not saying that all of the french people are rude or that every city in France is redolent with a stale urine smell.  I'm just saying that that is what I experienced, for better or worse.   And since I was so utterly disappointed by that single glimpse of the country, I didn't take any pictures.  So in their stead, I'm putting in a javascript "translator" of sorts.  Enjoy...a tout a l'heure.

Do you want Do we really have Do you know how
Is it possible Will I manage

to sleep with to find to eat to buy to show me
to look like to stand to get in

Gerard Depardieu perfume a pair of frog legs
good cheese the Eiffel Tower
a genuine Parisian my wife my pants

in your wildest dreams? to cover the smell? while drinking red wine? without speaking French? right after breakfast? without being too arrogant? when my mother-in-law is around? after eating 300 croissants? ?(nothing)
