GUN CONTROL:
Liberal Thinking: The few people who can't use martial arts or other non-lethal means
of self-defense--the young, the old, the infirm, the disabled, the weak,
the small, and the pregnant--are simply the necessary sacrifice we must
make to criminals, to avoid the risks of letting people be armed.

The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund
(Re-Printed from the Firearms Digest)
Today three Dryden, Ontario, residents established a trust fund to assist
Bruce Montague in obtaining good legal counsel to carry the fight against
the unjust Firearms Act all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
The Bruce Montague Scrap C-68 Fund is now ready to receive donations.
In fact, Anthony Nickel of Dryden made the first donation two days ago !!
Please be generous as you pull out your checkbooks
To launch the first public appeal for funds, Donna Montague will be attending the gun show in Kenora to tell of the 36 hour "home
invasion" which she and her children endured at the hands of the OPP and the
Ontario Special Weapons Force.
Jack Wilson & I will also be present to distribute Support Your Rights and
Freedoms literature at a table very graciously provided to us by the local
Kenora gun club and to assist in the collection of funds.
We all are indebted to Dryden bush pilot Dan Baron (aka The Red Baron),
Roger Nordlund, a local auto repair mechanic, and Willie Cheslock, a
financial advisor with Nesbitt Burns, for volunteering to manage the Fund.
Please send your donation made out to the

Conservative motion to cut budget for federal gun registry defeated
OTTAWA (CP) - An Opposition Conservative
motion to cut funding for the controversial federal gun registry was
defeated Monday. Garry Breitkreuz, Conservative vice-chairman of the
all-party Commons
justice committee, moved that several million dollars be cut from the
$25-million annual operating fund for the troubled registry. However,
the motion was defeated by a vote of 7-4 at a regular committee
meeting. With a minority Liberal government in Ottawa, opposition MPs
often outnumber Liberals on many Commons committees. However, opinion
on the gun registry doesn't always follow party lines. Spending on the
program has already been fettered after its ballooning
budget embarrassed the government and gave rise to demands from the
Opposition Tories to scrap it. Last spring, the Liberals capped its
operating budget in a pre-election announcement. The registry was
originally budgeted to cost just $2 million when it
was introduced by then-justice minister Allan Rock in 1995 to help stem
gun violence. The government of the day said most of the actual
$119-million
projected cost for the program would be recovered through registration
fees, leaving only $2 million to be covered by taxpayers. (Is there any doubt 'now' that public safety is NOT
the priority of either the Liberals, the NDP, or the Block? They have
basically said they value this farce of a liberal boondoggle over
increasing
border security, and taking criminals off the streets by clearing the
HUGE RCMP DNA forensics backlog of cases.. Political correctness and
the 'feeling' that registration of duck guns somehow keeps them safer..
Unbelievable... Ask the family of the 11 year old girl who got shot in
the head on a Toronto bus by gang bangers if 'they' feel safer
knowing
that money will not be redirected from this farce to REAL crime control
and putting down these gangs. The money will instead be used to
continue the harassment of law abiding firearms owners.. I.E. duck hunters and target shooters, while continuing to level insignificant sentences and punishment to criminals actually USING firearms to commit crimes. The asshole that shot that little girl should get no less than 20 years in prison, and THEN
be deported back to what ever third world county he crawled out of..
But nope... Not in Liberal Canada.. Even if caught, he will be back on
the street in a few years. If deported, the sieve we laughingly call a
border, will offer little resistance to his eventual return. And the
worst part? Don't expect anything to change, until we get the 'group
hug' mentality out of our government, and judicial system.

Silence aids gun crime
Shots
ring out on a crowded bus. Their intended target, a 28-year-old man,
falls with three bullets in his body. An 11-year-old girl falls, too,
with a bullet in her head. Both are victims of a ruthless gunman
firing in anger after an argument developed Sunday at the back of a
Toronto Transit Commission bus. Both are in danger of being victimized
again — this time by witnesses who were on that bloodstained bus but
fled and haven't come forward to tell police what they saw. Brazen
gun crime presents a growing threat in Toronto. It is remarkable that
not even the presence of 40 witnesses stayed the shooter's hand in this
most recent incident. Those who remain silent in the face of
such conduct become part of Toronto's festering gun problem, and not
part of the solution. (Perhaps NOW
might be a good time for the Liberals that voted to keep pouring money
into the "Registry of LAW ABIDING gun owners" instead of redirecting it
to REAL crime control, to explain why someone willing to shoot someone
else IN FRONT OF 40 WITNESSES ON A PUBLIC BUS
would be even be remotely deterred, by requiring a firearms licence, or
the need to register the gun? What has the duck hunter registry DONE to
curb "Toronto's festering gun problem"? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING THAT'S WHAT!)
Mother turns in son accused of killing up to 9 boys in Chinese school dorm
The mother of a 21-year-old man accused of slashing as many as nine
boys to death as they slept in their high school dormitory turned her
son in after he attempted to commit suicide, a news report said. Yan
Yanming, 21, was reported to police after he attempted to take his
life late Thursday in the city of Ruzhou, the Xinhua News Agency said
Saturday. The agency said Yan confessed and said he slashed the
students out of hatred. Xinhua put the death toll in the attack at
eight, but another state-run
news agency, the China News Service, said nine students were killed.
Yan broke into the central China dormitory at 11:45 p.m. on Thursday
and "chopped eight people to death," Xinhua said. The China News
Service cited a survivor as saying that during the attack, the man with
the knife said, "Don't blame me." It was the fourth knife attack
reported at a Chinese school or day-care
centre in as many months. The earlier assaults left one child dead and
42 people injured. Fatal bombings, mass poisonings and other attacks
are reported
frequently, usually blamed on people trying to hurt business rivals or
seeking revenge in often minor disputes. Firearms are rarely used
because private gun ownership is illegal in most parts of China. Last
month, six men were arrested in Beijing in a knife attack at an
Internet cafe that left 14 people bloodied. News reports said the
attackers wanted revenge on several men they had met at the cafe and
when they couldn't be found, they slashed customers at random. (As
you can plainly see, banning firearms in China has evolved into the
same "culture of safety" the liberals want for Canada! Everyone
'honest' is disarmed, don't fight back, give the criminal what he
wants, call the police, let the police protect you. This sage advice,
coupled with 10 year 'life sentences' for murder, and "time served" for
the internet luring of a child, has to make some people wonder just
'what' the Canadian Just-Us system is doing to make 'anyone'
safer? Oh I forgot, they have spent 2 billion dollars on a registry of
'duck hunters'! Feel safer yet? )
Ayuh, Vermont would fit in with Canada, eh?
Many Vermonters are troubled by the re-election of George Bush, the
continuing war in Iraq, and the increasing power of big corporations
and right-wing religious zealots in the U.S.A. Some of my friends have
even suggested that they would like to leave the country. I have a
better idea. Vermont should ask to join Canada as its 11th province. (The
naivety of this is overwhelming. I couldn't resist sending a letter to
their editor: Ahh yes, join up with Canada.. But keep in mind some of
the thing you need to know.. The homicide rate for the U.S. 'is' higher than Canada's but Vermont's
is far lower than ANY Canadian Provence, as well as the general crime
level. In Canada, you are more likely to have your car stolen or your
home broken into, and when someone murders a relative, rejoice in the
knowledge that the perpetrator will be back on the street in about 10
years or sooner. Even cop killers don't stay in prison for long .. So be
prepared to be shot at.. And oh yes, you can't shoot back.. Upon joining
the country, ALL of your 'known' firearms will be registered, and those
deemed small, or scary, will be confiscated, with out compensation.. As
a Canadian, you would no longer have the 'right' to own private
property.. The Government has the ability to take anything you have,
anytime they want, by simply passing a law with a 'order in council'
(this is totally foreign to Americans, but its a government dictate,
that simply by-passes the democratic process) this allows them to do
what ever they want, providing they have a majority government. A
succession of "orders in council" for example, was the method used to
waist 2 billion dollars on what is basically a Canadian Registry of duck
hunters! Sure health care is free, providing you don't die while
waiting for a hospital bed. Be prepared to wait 6 months to a year for a
MRI scan for example. I'll bet Vermont has more MRI scanners than ALL of
Canada! These are only a 'few' of the things you should be aware of..
Indeed, the grass does look greener on the other side of the fence, but
that's largely due to the amount of fertilizer being spread by Ottawa.. )
Festive(?) Season RIDE is back
Do people in Brampton and Mississauga drive drunk more than their
neighbours in such communities as Halton, York, Durham or Toronto?
If you look at the raw numbers, the answer appears to be an overwhelming yes, yes we do.
But do we really? Why on earth was only one person charged with
drinking and driving by the Halton Festive Season RIDE program last
year? There were 15 charges in York Region, 50 in Hamilton and 50-some
in Toronto. In Peel, there were 133 charges laid.
Considering the populations of the various areas, Peel drivers
appear to be getting behind the wheel far more often than others in
southern Ontario.
(What happened to the
CHRISTMAS season Ride Program? Did I 'really' hear folks at a local
television station singing "Oh 'Festive' Tree"? Why is it ONLY the
christian holidays that MUST be sacrificed to appease the foreign gods
and deities? When the term 'Festive Tree' popped out of the mouth of
some Toronto left wing city hall lib, Mel Lastman, the ex mayor of
Toronto (who is a jew by the way) centred this idiot out with words to the effect of ' It NOT
a Festive Tree, It's a Christmas Tree' .. I wonder if 'Lefty Miller'
will have the balls to do the same.. I doubt it.. ALSO, it looks as if
the Ontario Supreme court is actually deciding whether the the cops
MUST inform you, that you are entitled to call a lawyer, BEFORE
they ask you if you have had a drink during a RIDE stop check! A
drunken asshole, behind the wheel of a car, has MORE rights than a law
abiding duck hunter during a law ENFORCEMENT home invasion by the police? In that case, C-68 says you MUST help them 'contrary to the Canadian charter of 'some' rights, and a few freedoms'
in the collection of evidence against you! It's called 'selective'
justice. Drunk Drivers are responsible for thousands of deaths,
injuries, and suffering right across Canada. But, according to our
'just-us' system, take it easy, it's not as if they actually own a DUCK
GUN or anything like that!)
Chinese school attacker kills 8
BEIJING - A man armed with a knife killed eight people and wounded four
others at a high school dormitory in central China. A report from
China's Xinhua news agency on Friday says police in the city of Ruzhou
are searching for the attacker. The attack at the No. 2 High School
took place around 11:45 p.m.
Thursday, although earlier reports say it occurred Friday morning. "The
man broke into the high school with a knife in his hand...and
chopped eight people to death and four others to injury," said the
Xinhua report. The report doesn't say whether the victims were students
or teachers, and there's no word on the attacker's motive. There have
been several knife attacks in Chinese schools and
day-care centres in the past few months, killing one child and injuring
42 people.(Are the Chinese
calling it an 'Assault Knife" then blaming and banning knives?
Which of course means the 'next' school attack in China could leave the
victims 'porcupined' full of chop sticks... The Chinese 'are' becoming
more westernized, which also mean they should start blaming inanimate
objects for the attacks by mental defectives as they do in North
America, Australia, and the U.K. )
George W. Bush's Big Canadian Mistake
TORONTO, ON (Nov. 26/04) -- US President George W. Bush ought to be
addressing a joint session of the Canadian Senate and House of Commons
during his first official state visit next week. In much the same way
that the Iraq war has served to pull every terrorist in the world into
the region, a prominent appearance by Bush in the nation’s capital
would draw the loony lefties of the world into a single place, where
they can prominently display their special brand of class, tact and
diplomacy. It would be great for liberals, and far better for
conservatives.
Bush needs to make a grand, red-carpet entrance in Ottawa, and ensure
that every liberal knows exactly where he is. And liberals should plan
to go to Ottawa and heckle really, really loudly. Leftist Canadian
politicians should do just what former socialist Member of Parliament,
Svend Robinson, did during US President Ronald Reagan’s Parliamentary
address in 1987: Heckle him mercilessly until the President asks, like
Reagan did, “Is there an echo in here?” MP Carolyn Parrish, who is
prone to Tourette’s-like anti-American outbursts, should be taken off
any meds and de-muzzled for the occasion. Nothing helps the
conservative cause more than liberal protesters acting like boors.
Rather than arming themselves with facts and logic, liberals prefer to
use pies--like the one that was recently launched at conservative
columnist, Ann Coulter, during a public appearance. A
website (www.rncnotwelcome.com), dedicated to
instructing liberals on how to
act like total imbeciles in protest of the Republican National
Convention in New York City, features an entire section on the art of
pieing conservatives. Advice includes how to choose a target (“any
pompous evil-doer will do”); how to dress (“shave, put on a suit…you’ll
be able to go anywhere!”); how to handle the aftermath (“expect shock
and chaos...people will be aghast at what has just transpired”); how to
practice (“set up a pie toss gallery to practice at home”); and how to
handle the inevitable arrest and assault charges. There’s even a pie
recipe included, with tofu as a main ingredient, of course. Make mine
banana cream please, guys. And keep practicing the rhetorical
hyperventilation and those maniacal outbursts. Dubya should consider
ordering up the same for his Canadian visit. It can only help his cause. (Martin
simply can't trust the morons around him to not embarrass his
dysfunctional, minority government, so, why take the chance.. Back when
Svend Robinson (the convicted thief), did try, the quick thinking Reagan made him look like the total ass that we all know he is.. )
Police seen in park during standoff
FOREST -- Police were "sneaking" through
the bushes in Ipperwash Provincial Park before and after native
protester Dudley George was shot and killed, the inquiry into his death
heard yesterday. A member of the Oneida First Nation testified he saw
police inside the park on Lake Huron on the night of Sept. 6,
1995. Isaac (Buck) Doxtator, who was at the park as one of
several
representatives from Oneida to lend support, said he was keeping watch
around the park's perimeter to warn if police were approaching.
He said he noticed seven armed officers lying prone in the bush near
the beach.
When they were spotted, Doxtator said "they just crawled back and went
behind the cottages." Doxtator also told the inquiry about his
involvement in the physical confrontation with police on the night of
Sept. 6.
During the scuffle, Doxtator said, he struck an officer over
the head with a baseball bat because the officer had struck his left
leg with a baton.
(Is it any wonder, more and more people are having less respect for the police? To serve and protect 'who'
? Why would a police officer feel he has the 'right' to arbitrarily
strike someone with a baton, and think no repercussions would be forth
coming?)
Gripes focus on confronting opportunistic distortions, not political grandstanding
Stephen Harper promised to increase accountable health care funding,
increase child tax benefits, cut taxes, scrap the gun registry, and
substantially boost military spending. Liberals promised to
increase health care spending, fund a massive federal daycare program,
maintain unrestricted abortion, and were silent on tax cuts and
military funding. In fact, Martin criticized the Harper budget as
unsustainable while overtaxing us into a large surplus. Paul
Martin's approach to the military mirrors his approach to health care.
First, slash funding and when a crisis of their own making arises,
promise to throw money at the problem to fix it. (And the dummies that keep voting Liberal, seem to think the liberal theft is for their own good.. )
The Liberals do it again
A recent report in The National Post states that the Canadian
Army is in grave danger of having some of its troops killed or injured
due to faulty hand grenades. Apparently the grenades, manufactured in
(surprise!) Quebec are failing to explode at over 10 times the rate as
similar U.S.--made grenades. The Canadian Military has been (surprise!)
ordered by The Government of Canada to purchase the Quebecois grenades,
despite the fact that at about $40 each, they cost significantly more
than grenades made elsewhere. I have a personal stake in this matter,
as one of my sons is a member
of the Canadian Armed Forces and will likely in his career come into
contact with these sub-standard made-in-Quebec grenades. As the father
of a young soldier, I find it unconscionable that our government would
put the lives and health of our troops at risk to acquire political
capital. As a citizen, I am outraged that the rest of us are letting
them get away with it. I think I am beginning to understand why the
National Firearms Registry
is such an important part of the Liberals’ ideology. Keeping guns out
of the hands of law-abiding citizens will ensure their longevity. (Regardless
of 'what' liberal is in charge of the party, the military and it's
un-liberal warlike thinking, will always be at the bottom of the list
of things they spend money on. Unless of course it's a liberal
supporting Quebec company benefiting from the kickbacks.. The only
thing dumber than liberal military thinking, is the Ontario Urban voter
thinking. The flawed, incomprehensible thinking that keeps putting these trough wallowers back in power to steal from us, time
and time again..)
Two different versions emerge of how Wisconsin hunter shootings were sparked
HAYWARD, Wis.
(AP) - Both the man suspected of shooting six hunters to death and a
survivor agree that the tragedy began with a confrontation on private
land. But they differ sharply on what happened next. Survivor Lauren Hesebeck told investigators Chai Vang, 36, of St. Paul,
Minn., turned around after a verbal exchange and started shooting his
rifle from about 35 metres away. But Vang told Sawyer County
investigators he began firing only after one of Hesebeck's hunting
buddies, Terry Willers, shot at him with a rifle from about 30 metres
feet away and missed. (What
ever happened, it all boils down to one crazy man with a gun.. Had he
been 'Canadian' I'm sure the billions invested(?) by the liberals
would have prevented this tragedy (!) Or at least confirmed he had the
intelligence to earn or steal $10.00 for a POL to keep his gun just as
Marc Lepine would have done. The police report below, shows clearly
that it 'may' have started with self defence, but rapidly progressed to
murder
Police Report on The Fatal Shooting of Wisconsin Deer Hunters(.pdf) Interesting Reading)
Toronto Police Services Board zaps Tasers
Needless
to say, the majority of lefties on Mayor David Miller’s Board said no. They
didn’t actually say no; they said they were going to request further studies, a
common tactic used by municipal politicians to avoid actually making a
decision. Board Chair Pam McConnell said that it is not a minor step and she
wanted to go slow. The TPSB then requested that the Toronto Medical Officer of
Health conduct a study into the long term effect of being Tasered. Where was
Ms. Pammy’s go slow approach a few years ago when she was racking up the miles
in her city paid-for limo? (I'm
no "lefty" but I do agree with not handing these things out to every
cop that wants one! Why? because I don't think the police can be
'trusted' to use them wisely. I think they will just become another
'pepper spray' item to be used when every they 'think' someone 'may'
put up resistance. Any resistance now, regardless of how minor, is met
with a blast of pepper spray to the eyes, even if that 'resistance' is
due to a automatic response to the severe pain of perhaps, twisting an
arthritic shoulder. Once armed with these so called non lethal weapons,
they will find it much easier to just zap the guy, drop him to the
pavement, then inflict what ever injury required to handcuff him...
Over response seems to be the answer to everything the police do now,
from 'taking down' and handcuffing an eight year old kid with a cap
gun, to kicking down a door and throwing a senior citizen to the ground
after being told they could simply come to a house and pick up a
firearm being voluntarily surrendered. No Thank you! I don't think
'anyone' should be dancing on the end of a 50,000 volt line because of
the now very common police over reactions, and general indiscriminate
use of some of the tools and weapons they currently possess..)
A bodice-ripper worthy of tabloids
But below the seedy intrigue of the stripper scandal lie more serious
issues.A
decision that arbitrarily brings one woman in from the cold while
thousands wait patiently outside, rips holes in the all-important
appearance of immigration fairness. A minister who doesn't understand
that is in the wrong job. Then there are the standards
demanded by a new ethics code Liberals took a decade to embrace. Among
many other things, it requires ministers steer clear of the conflicts
that Sgro seems to have hit head-on. If this story is to end happily
for Sgro, Shapiro will have to write a surprise final chapter. Stacked
like ethical cordwood, each of these contributes to what a serious
publisher would surely reject as a plot too fanciful, too fantastic,
for a Canadian political novel. After all, our scandals usually have
all the sizzling sex appeal of gun registry cost overruns, the Quebec
advertising slush fund or heat-seeking contracts designed to find only
the ruling party's pals.(Well,
isn't 'everything' the liberals have been ducking lately, including
this, designed to find only "ruling party pals" ? )
Lobbyist insists Bill C-68 dying slow death
The national gun control legislation is
in flames, and more and more
parliamentarians are starting to realize it, says a lobbyist opposed to
the controversial Bill C-68. Tony Bernardo of the Canadian Institute of
Legislative Action said
Thursday the legislation is so fraught with pitfalls that bureaucrats
responsible for administering the bill are beside themselves trying to
figure out what to do. He said the federal government is currently
breaking the law in several
areas with respect to what is required under C-68. But bureaucrats and
supporting politicians know if they even go close to the House of
Commons for the necessary amendments to make things right – to make
things legal – the legislation might very well get booted into
oblivion, he said. Bernardo said if the necessary changes are sought,
politicians will
also have to face all the pitfalls in the bill, and accept that if they
want to make C-68 work again, it means starting over. And with the
public already breathing fire over the $1 billion-plus
cost of implementing the legislation, there’ll be no stomach for
starting over, he said, adding there is good evidence now to suggest
the cost is closer to $2 billion. The highly controversial gun control
legislation is dying a slow death, but Bernardo is convinced death is
inevitable. (One
thing in our favour, is that now this farce is known to ALL as costing
2 billion dollars.. Two Thousand Million Dollars!! For What? No one has
ever seen legislative benefits that are more 'under whelming'
than 'this', Allan Rocks utopian dream of "I came to Ottawa with the
belief that only the police and soldiers should have guns".. You know,
just the same as every country controlled by a dictator, or elitist
regime. When ever some poll is released that says the Liberals are in
the lead, I wonder what kind of ignorant moron, knowing what they
'should' know about this bunch of thieves, would care so little for
their personal freedom and country, as to keep voting this bunch into
power, resulting ALWAYS in the further erosions of our individual
freedoms, while paying only 'lip service' to the actual RIGHTS of
personal safety. )
Hunter(?)kills five and injures three after tree stand dispute in Wisconsin
BIRCHWOOD, Wis.
(AP) - A deer hunter shot and killed five people and wounded three
others in northwestern Wisconsin following a dispute about a tree stand
during the hunt's opening weekend, authorities said. A 36-year-old
suspect was arrested Sunday afternoon, Sawyer County
sheriff's officials said. Jake Hodgkinson, a deputy at the county jail,
identified the suspect as Chai Vang but would give no additional
details. Paul Schnell, a spokesman for the St. Paul, Minn., police
department, said the man was from St. Paul. The incident began when two
hunters were returning to their rural cabin
on private land in Sawyer County when they saw the suspect in one of
their hunting platforms in a tree, county Chief Deputy Tim Zeigle said.
A confrontation and shooting followed. It's not known who shot first,
Zeigle said. Both hunters were wounded and one of them radioed to the
cabin 400
metres away. Other hunters responded and were shot. About 20 shots were
fired, but it's unclear who shot them, he said. The dead included a
teenage boy and a woman, Zeigle said. Some of the victims had been shot
more than once. "It's absolutely nuts. Why? Over sitting in a tree
stand?" Zeigle said. He said the suspect was "chasing after them and
killing them," with a
SKS 7.62-mm semiautomatic rifle, a common hunting weapon. Wisconsin's
statewide deer-gun hunting season started Saturday and lasts for nine
days. (??? Now we have to check the trees, for lingering 'nuts' ?)
A Reply to a Gun Control Critic
I'm curious: nowhere in that article
on Gun Control does it mention Canada. We've *always* had gun control,
in one form or another. It's never been possible for someone to walk
in off the street and out with a firearm twenty minutes later. So if gun control is so heinous and
detrimental, why is our crime so vastly smaller than yours and why is
our population so much less paranoid? I'm sorry, but going through your
site, it seems to me to be less about "freedom" of a people as a whole
and more about individual freedom — and that leads to anarchy. Thank you. C.H.........Answer:You opened your comments by
referring to an article on gun control. I do not know of which article
you speak, and so cannot comment on any statements in particular, but I
can speak to the general gun control argument. You wrote that Canada
has "'always' had gun control, in one form or another. It's never been
possible for someone to walk in off the street and out with a firearm
twenty minutes later." I'm not sure what conclusion you're hoping we'll
reach from that particular statement. Even when Canada's gun control laws
were (relative to today) lax, the crime rate in that country was low
relative to the United States because the United States has
historically had a higher crime rate. The important question is whether
the presence of firearms is the cause of that high crime rate and
whether gun control is a proper policy to adopt in combating crime. "In the 1990s, sweeping changes were
made to the [Canadian] firearms laws, first in 1991 and then again in
1995. Licensing and registration are still being phased in." However,
"The contrast between the criminal violence rates in the United States
and in Canada is dramatic. Over the past decade, the rate of
violent crime in Canada has increased while in the United States the
violent crime rate has plummeted... [emphasis added]
(Perhaps when the original
letter writer says that 'Canadians have 'never' been able to walk in
off the street and out with a firearm 20 minutes later' he is referring
to his own rather limited experience. Virtually every rifle
or shotgun I have ever owned was purchased in that context. Of course,
that was back before the government tried to fix what wasn't broke, and
as a result, created a vast black-market for firearms. Now, the only
ones that can obtain a firearm in twenty minutes are the criminals.
This can be demonstrated by the number of times someone has 'walked
away' from a prison, and the police are now describing him as "armed
and dangerous". Even right out of prison, the criminal knows exactly
where his friendly black market firearms dealer is located , and is NOW
able to buy firearms of the type that were not readily available
'before' strict gun control laws proliferated... This is called
progress!! don't forget to thank a Liberal!)
Report Says Use of Stun Guns Contributing to Human Rights Abuses
Amnesty
International USA says it has studied the use of Taser weapons by
police, concluding that the "rampant use" of such electroshock weapons
is "contributing to widespread human rights abuses." Amnesty
International USA plans to release its 93-page report -- "Excessive and
Lethal Force? Deaths and Ill-Treatment Involving Police Use of TASERs"
-- next Tuesday. The report finds that thhe growing use of Tasers
"has dangerously expanded the boundaries of 'acceptable' levels of
force." In other words, the report suggests that police are using
Tasers even on suspects they might ordinarily subdue by hand. (This
make a lot of sense! The Toronto Police are now asking for 500 of
them.. Compare stun guns to pepper spray.. Now, that virtually 'all'
police carry pepper spray, it's used for everything. Even when
approaching a suspect, they pepper spray him to 'gain control' before
anything happens.. Once they have stun guns, it will also become
routine for the cops to 'zap' you "to gain control" whether you pose a
immediate danger or not... As long as they 'think' the zap is harmless,
they will use it, and use it often, whether really needed or not.. If
the police are issued with them, they should be REQUIRED to DOCUMENT EVERY SINGLE USE. If not, it will be simply another reason for people to mistrust the police for another abuse of power.)
Even the Toronto Star has started the criticisms
The Liberal party's two most deeply embedded policy markers that have most clearly begun to unravel. The
party's stewardship of the French-English partnership was called into
question with the near-loss of the 1995 Quebec independence referendum,
and more recently with the outright loss of nearly every Quebec
francophone Commons seat outside the island of Montreal. Liberal
Ottawa in the past decade has struck many Quebec federalists mainly as
a source of warmed-over posturing — and more recently, of course, of
the chicanery of the sponsorship scandal. Whatever the extent of
criminal activity, many Quebecers already ask if the party of Laurier
now believes their loyalties can be bought by plastering Canada logos
onto sports arenas. An
even more visible problem has been the Liberals' increasingly uncertain
performance on their single most important marker, that of social
reform. The
clearest result, though not the only one, is the widespread
deterioration of Canada's public medicare. Less obvious but just as
serious was the neglect of child care, welfare, education and
environmental initiatives. Focusing
more attention in communities should also help the Liberals to avert
monumental cock-ups like the sponsorship or gun registry fiascos. (The
ONLY way we are going to bring this country 'back on track' is to dump
the liberal party. The continuance of the 'in your face' government
nanny state, of politically correct do-gooders, will result in forever
controlling the lives of Canadians from cradle to grave. A government
and justice system, that treats the criminals as the victims has been
around far too long. When Canadians can be fined and jailed for
defending any property the government allows them to temporarily hold
(we have no rights to actually own
'anything') government has gone too far.. Promoting false security, and
power at any cost is the trademark of the liberal party. When
they assume, as they do now, that tax dollars are Liberal dollars, to
spend as they wish, with nothing but 'lip service' regard for what the
public 'really' wants, then it's time for a change. There can NEVER be
any change if the same party remains in power, regardless of how they
arrange the chairs surrounding the public trough.)
Martin dismisses Parrish from caucus
OTTAWA - Prime Minister Paul Martin expelled renegade Liberal MP
Carolyn Parrish from the party's caucus on Thursday, citing her
"unacceptable" behaviour. Martin told reporters that while he has
defended the controversial MP's right to express her views frankly, he
"cannot, as leader of our party and the government caucus, tolerate
behaviour that demeans and disrespects others." "There are better, more
civil and more effective ways to make your case than those she has
chosen," he said, adding he called Parrish to tell her of his decision.
Martin did not say what specific actions by Parrish prompted him to
expel her. (Well, and how many
MP's does he have now? That's one down..134 more to go... The residents of this woman's
riding should INSIST on an immediate by-election, I don't think they wanted an independent, Or an NDPer for that matter.)
Website is 'Spruced-up' but 'still' largely bullshit
The Canada Firearms Centre (CAFC) was created by an order-in-council in 2003
to oversee the administration of the Firearms Act and the Canadian
Firearms Program (CFP). The Firearms Act and its related regulations
govern the possession, transport, use and storage of firearms in Canada. The
objective of the CFP is to help reduce firearm-related death, injury and crime
and to promote public safety through universal licensing of firearm owners and
registration of firearms in Canada. (This "Order in Council" (Liberal dictatorial decree) has so-far, cost Canadian taxpayers almost 2 Billion Dollars, with absolutely NO
documented effect on the criminal use of firearms what-so-ever. Not
one documented life has been saved, although there is documented
evidence that lives have been lost. Not one criminal has been
apprehended, not one illegal gun been traced back to it's criminal
owner. The firearms Centre, tracks ONLY
the law abiding, hunter, target shooter and firearms collector, and not
the thousands and thousands of people 'prohibited' from owning
firearms. It also does not track those with restraining orders against
them, to ensure they don't 'have' firearms. It also does not ensure
'all' those that have guns, have had suitable training in the safe
handling of firearms, it only assured itself, that they owned ten
dollars for a POL. This entire bureaucracy exists 'only' to serve
itself, and the misguided bureaucrats fearful of losing their jobs and
power, that constantly, and futilely, try to convince 'someone' out side
the bureaucracy that it has value when it clearly does not. They say a
useless bureaucracy is identifiable by three types of lies it
constantly uses. The lies it tells the people, the lies it tells
parliament, and the lies it tells itself.. The Canadian firearms centre
is famous for, and has been documented, in using, all three types..
Does this 'farce' make anyone safer? No.. Does this farce save any
lives? No.. Does this farce make a police officers job safer? No.. Is
this farce worthy of 'any' more tax dollars? Absolutely not! We already
have wasted almost 2 billion dollars on this liberal, utopian dream. It's time to wake up!)
Woman 'blessed by the holy toast'

A half-eaten slice of cheese on toast purportedly showing the image of
the Virgin Mary has got online bargain-hunters licking their lips.
A Florida woman put the item up for sale, claiming it has brought her great luck since she found it 10 years ago.
The internet auction site eBay originally pulled the
offering, fearing it was a joke, but has now apparently been reassured
it is genuine.
The snack has attracted a bid - thought to be a hoax - of $99.9m.
Diana Duyser, 52, of Hollywood, Florida, set a starting price of $3,000, and pleaded with people not to post hoax bids.
(Perhaps Paul Martin should
buy this toast? It just might save his shaky minority. Besides,
it fits right in: The 'unofficial' liberal motto (besides power at any cost), is 'Bite Me'.. But, just like the phoney reasons for the gun registry, this 'miracle' could be created by anyone with a laser. )
AG Fraser 'concerned' about massive expenditure review
Canada's Auditor General Sheila Fraser says she's concerned about the
size and impact of the government's much-vaunted election commitment to
find $12-billion in savings in federal government spending in the next
five years. "We are talking about a significant reallocation of funds within
government, which will require programs to be eliminated in order to
achieve that," the spending watchdog told Senators on the National
Finance Committee this month. "We are concerned about the capacity within the public service to
respond adequately to all of this at the same time that they are trying
to do sort of business as usual," she added. Ms. Fraser, who appeared before the powerful committee on Nov. 3,
also said she is worried the government may sacrifice key services,
like internal audit functions, in its zeal to find savings and cut
programs. Ms. Fraser stressed that her office has not formally studied the
sweeping spending review which is being headed by Revenue Minister John
McCallum (Markham-Unionville, Ont.) who chairs the government's
Expenditure Review Committee. She said she was raising the concerns in
a "theoretical way." Still, her comments struck a chord with some of the Senators on the
committee that has built a reputation for ferreting out spending
scandals. The committee was the first to blow the lid off the gun
registry boondoggle even before Ms. Fraser reported in December 2002
that the program was $1-billion over budget. The last program review of this kind conducted by Ottawa in 1993-94 led
to major cutbacks across the board in a bid to beat back the deficit.
Now that the government's books are in the black, this review is
ostensibly about eliminating wasteful programs and modernizing
government. (We will soon know if Martins minority government is 'really' serious about eliminating waste. The gun registry is the
prime example, always referred to when 'anyone' discusses wasteful
programs. It's been used as an example in university lectures as defining
government waste. It's 'only' saving grace, is that it's 'politically
correct'! But is that alone, worth 2 billion dollars of taxpayer
funding, while hospitals and the countries infrastructure crumbles for
lack of funds? I think not...)
Fingers off the trigger as pistols handed in
VICTORIANS surrendered more pistols than any other state under a recent
amnesty program. A total of 18,626 pistols and 45,229 parts were ceded
during the buyback scheme.
About $23 million in compensation was paid to Victorians.
Australians surrendered enough firepower to equip a small army under
the amnesty.
The ban on pistols with a calibre above .38 and limits on barrel
length followed the shooting of two students by a licensed gun owner at
Monash University in October 2002.
More than 68,000 handguns and 328,000 parts were ceded during
the national pistol buyback scheme, which came to an end in June this
year.
The program saw $93 million in compensation paid out by the
federal and state governments for registered and unregistered pistols
and gun parts. NSW produced the second-largest haul, with 17,735 pistols and 68,000 parts handed over.
Queensland took third place with 15,777 handguns and 77,000 parts. (Well, what do you know! There ARE a lot of 'sheep' in Australia)
Canada's respect for serial murderer misplaced
Our foreign minister went
to the terrorist's funeral. No word as to whether or not he fired off a
few AK-47 rounds into the air, or just nodded approvingly. With so many
guns being shot and effigies being burned, it's safe to assume
Pettigrew didn't inquire into the status of Canadian foreign aid,
siphoned off to pay for Mrs. A's shopping sprees in Paris, or why
suicide bombing is taught to children in Canadian-sponsored Palestinian
schools.
That wouldn't show Canada's famous even-handedness, though.
Speaking
of even-handedness, Martin did not send a foreign minister to U.S.
President Ronald Reagan's funeral earlier this year. The man who ended
the Cold War without firing a shot, the most popular U.S. president in
a generation, the one whose free trade treaty with Canada is the main
source of our current wealth, the rejuvenator of the greatest democracy
in the world, did not earn that respect. But a
gangster, the thief of a billion dollars in humanitarian aid, the
serial rejecter of reasonable Palestinian statehood, the murderer of
children did earn Canada's highest respects. That says more about our
government than it does about Arafat. (It
Also might explain why the 'Canadian' Flag was the 'only' international
flag on display inside the Ramallah compound during the funeral... We
probably 'paid' for it!)
Gun registry costs rise
The Canadian Firearms Program will cost taxpayers another $120 million.
"It seems more like a money grab than anything," said Tom Hoy, an acquisition and possession instructor in Brandon.
"To me, it's not going in the right place."
Hoy was "shocked" to learn more money was being allocated for the program.
"I thought after all that's been wasted on this, it would be cut back. It seems like we're flogging a dead horse," he said.
October estimates show the federal government will spend $120 million
on the administration of the Canadian Firearms Program, during the next
fiscal year, according to Inky Mark, Conservative MP for Dauphin-Swan
River-Marquette.
"The government says that the objective of the Canadian Firearms
Centre is to reduce firearm tragedies, accidental deaths or injuries,
and criminal firearms violence by strengthening controls on firearms,"
said Mark.
"However, none of the $120 million in spending will be used for
training or public gun safety programs. Instead, the funding will be
used for public relations, advertising, travel, hospitality,
conferences and professional services. ("Public relations, advertising, travel, hospitality,
conferences and professional services". This is a 120 million dollar 'SLUSH FUND' for liberal friends and colleagues! Hospitality (parties), Conferences (funnel more cash to useless organizations like the collation for gun control), and "professional services" (Hookers? maybe their 'not' just screwing us?)
Who knows? A local television station in Toronto is doing a show on
prostate cancer, and it seems that research is slowing down because of
"FUNDING SHORTAGES"! And, these assholes (no pun intended) have a 120
MILLION MORE DOLLARS to spend on "public relations, advertising, travel, hospitality,
conferences and professional services"
This is absolutely OBSCENE! It would seem that more people in Martins circle are obviously being
shot by duck hunters, than dying of prostate cancer, It's the 'only'
thing that makes sense. The opposition simply HAS to do something about this ongoing waste! )
Business must adapt to new firearms act, says ministerCAPE TOWN — Government did not consider the economic effect of
the Firearms Control Act and will not consider
changing the law if it was found to be adversely affecting certain
businesses in the country, Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula
has said.
The Firearms Control Act, after being approved in 2000, was fully implemented
in July this year. Reports of massive losses by
gun dealers and difficulties in the hunting, film and private security
industries have followed the full implementation of the act.
Huge numbers of applications for firearm licences have been rejected
by the Central Firearms Registry and there have been
charges there are not enough accredited facilities to test the
competence of applicants.
Jankielsohn said this would have been "a crucial opportunity for him
to deal with the many concerns regarding the Central
Firearms Registry, which have become even more pressing following recent
media allegations of irregularities and possibly even corruption.
"The minister has not attended a single meeting of the parliamentary
oversight committee since the new committee was formed
after the April election. This poses question marks over his commitment
to the democratic principles of transparency and
accountability. It also appears that the committee does not have the
political will to enforce its oversight responsibilities by
holding the minister to account," he said.
(It would seem that apartite
is 'still' alive and well in South Africa. Only 'this' time
it defines those who are in charge, and those who are not!)
"Make my Day" in New Zealand
On Monday, I launched a campaign to
restore commonsense to the Crimes Act. As it did 25
years ago, the Act must once again support law-abiding
defenders instead of criminal invaders. You can see the
change in culture from the Government's hysterical
response. In rejecting any change, Justice Minister
Phil Goff raised the spectre of "Americanisation", and
the shooting of door-to-door salesmen. Instead of getting
behind rural people, the Agriculture Minister damned it
as "a licence to shoot trespassers". They're wrong. I
was sorely tempted to draft a "make my day law". If
Peter Bentley had managed, with his only shot, to rid this
Earth of one of his attackers, how many New Zealanders
would be mourning - beside the offender's family and
Labour Cabinet? Perhaps some in the security-alarmed,
manicured suburbs where the anointed of the Justice
establishment sleep. Every other decent New Zealander would
have said "good job". (IF YOU READ NOTHING ELSE TODAY, READ THIS SPEECH This is a Excellent speech from a N.Z. member of the government that has introduced a "Make my day" law ..
He certainly makes more sense than 'most' politicians.. Perhaps the
Canadian Conservatives should have a look at it... Like the U.K. below,
more and more people are making the point that the police are incapable
of protecting them, and there is no reason ANYONE should end up fodder
for the politically correct. New Zealand was wise to dump it's gun
registration law, perhaps it might also be wise enough to use common
sense.. But of course, were talking about politicians and political
correctness here, and if common sense had anything to do with
government, we wouldn't have the stupid firearms laws we have
today!..Common also is the clue in the speech "If
Peter Bentley had managed, with his only shot, to rid this
Earth of one of his attackers"
not one news article that I could find mentioned this 'shot'! Much like
the left wing media here, the defensive use of a firearm is NEVER
reported. So, people are under the totally wrong impression that no one
ever uses a firearm in self defence. )
Overwhelming support for U.K.
'make my day' burglary law
An overwhelming majority of the public backs the Sunday Telegraph's
campaign to give people more rights to protect their homes and families
from violent intruders, according to a new survey. The ICM poll shows
that 71 per cent of voters believe that householders should have the
"unqualified right to use force, including deadly force if necessary" -
against burglars. The wording of the survey question mirrors
legislation, introduced in the state of Oklahoma in 1988 and known as
the "Make my Day Law", which has halved burglaries. An even greater
proportion of those surveyed - 81 per cent - say that intruders should
lose the right to sue for anything that the householder does in
self-defence. (Is the pendulum now
swinging the 'other' way in the U.K.? I doubt it! People of the U.K.
have shown themselves over and over again to be 'Subjects' not
'Citizens'. They can whine and bitch all they want, but the 'upper
classes' will NOT allow the peasants that kind of power. Particularly
after they have been so successful at removing that power. It's always
wise to remember, the "upper classes" can afford personal security
measures, the 'peasants' can not. So, until the 'upper classes' feel
the need for that kind of protection, they will certainly not allow the
peasants to have it. That might seem silly and out dated, but it's the
way things work in the U.K., and it's also the way 'our' government
would like to see it here!)
PM shares blame for military
CFB VALCARTIER, Que. -- Prime Minister Paul Martin took some of the
blame for the underfunded state of Canada's military yesterday as he
visited with troops near Quebec City. Martin had just finished lunch
with a group of soldiers at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier when he
promised to invest more money in troops and equipment."We have to turn
around our dwindling investment which, I admit, I
have a certain responsibility for causing," said Martin, who was
finance minister in the 1990s when the military's budget was cut and
troop levels dropped.
"Your superiors here are just too polite to say it," he added, causing
scattered laughter among the soldiers.
On several occasions this fall, Martin has promised to boost military
spending but hasn't offered details. Yesterday, Martin repeated old
commitments to buy helicopters,
supply ships and mobile gun systems and enlist 5,000 new soldiers for
the Canadian Forces and 3,000 extra reservists.
During Martin's term as finance minister, the defence budget
fell by 23% between 1993 and 1998 followed by small increases through
2001, according to a parliamentary report.
"It's been 20 years that Canada has not invested enough into our
military capacity," Martin said.
(It's been a lot more than 20
years.. Trudeau came to power 35 years ago, and promptly put military
moral in the basement where he felt it belonged.. Everyone in
uniform learned all to well that 'it was not easy being green'! But,
what did Trudeau know? He spent W.W.II as a 'consciences objector' (read coward)
riding his motorcycle around Quebec's back country roads, wearing a
Nazi Helmet.. It took conservatives to give the military back 'some' of
it's dignity. Martin has 35 years of liberal military bashing disgrace,
to overcome. And, he ain't going to be in power long enough to do it..)
Girl tackles would-be thief in alley
The girl grabbed the man's arm and he swung around and hit her in the
nose, which started streaming blood. But the teen wouldn't give up and
chased the thief into an alley where
she knocked him to the ground. They wrestled briefly before her father
arrived and pinned the man to the pavement. "He was yelling that
he was having a heart attack," she recalled. "I didn't even think about
it - it all happened so fast." The money, about $160, was recovered.
Dean Parthenis of the city police service praised Simsaland's courage
but warned her to never, ever do it again. "She was very lucky,"
he said. "It could have ended a whole lot worse." Kim San agreed that
members of the public should never confront thieves. "I'm very proud of
her, but she knows it was dangerous," he said. "He could have had a
knife or a gun or something." Quyen Trinh, 34, has been charged with
robbery. (Here
we go again, the police advising a victim "not to do it again" which of
course only encourages criminals to keep right on attacking people and
stealing from them. The police INSIST that the criminals should be
safe.. The ONLY WAY your pretty well sure, that it would not have ended
"a whole lot worse". Is for these criminal assholes to KNOW that their
going to meet resistance, and possibly injury every single time. Every
would-be thief, SHOULD BE a victim of his or her own victim selection
process, and until that happens, the public can depend on the police
promoting their victimization by warning the public not to injure
criminals, just give them what they want, then wait for the next one.
It won't be long.
)
Bush to visit Canada in near future
Bush did visit Canada twice during his first term, but both trips
were during summits in Quebec and Alberta and were not state visits.
Bush won re-election last week in a hotly-contested national race
against Democratic Senator John Kerry. Bush ended up with more than 50
per cent of the popular vote and Republicans made gains in the U.S.
House of Representatives and the Senate. (Bush
may not be popular with Canada's Liberals, but Bush did something NO
Liberal has been able to do, and that's win 50% of the popular vote..
Canada is one of those rare countries where a political party can
actually rule the country, virtually unhampered, with even 30% or less
of the popular vote.. Yes, Bush may not be popular with Liberals, but
he' far more popular than ANY Liberal has been in a long time.. Thats probably 'why' they don't like him.)
Bowdlerizing Columbine
Our Svengali is such a (figurative) lightweight that he cannot bear
discussing the issue of the Second Amendment with any legitimate
scholars, so he instead brings up the topic with the scarred and
neurotic brother of Terry Nichols. Mr. Nichols is frightened and barely
coherent. Moore is smug and satisfied after Nichols admits to not being
familiar with Gandhi, but just how would the leader’s pacifism help
citizens deal with a felon in the bedroom? It could not, yet rather
than consider such things Moore would prefer to look worldly besides a
broken man. I’m sure the outcome would have been different had he
approached Dr. John Lott but our director is not the type to ever take
such chances. Besides, logic cannot outdo Jerry Springer on the
entertainment meter. (THIS,
is one of the most accurate reviews of Moore I have read to date...
This guy has Moore labelled exactly as he should be...)
Playing with guns is 'good for boys'
BANNING boys from playing with toy guns
is futile
and may even damage their development, a leading child psychologist has
warned. Confirming what many guilty parents long suspected, Penny
Holland says
boys will indulge in gunplay regardless of attempts by schools,
nurseries and guardians to stop them. Holland, who claims boys have
fallen victim to politically correct
dogma, claims that suppressing their need for boisterous play may be
counter-productive. Holland, senior lecturer in early childhood studies
at London
Metropolitan University, believes that boys who have been banned from
playing at soldiers, pirates, or superheroes, become disruptive and
live up to a "bad boy" image. But her views have been strongly opposed
by gun control groups and
families of the children killed in the 1996 Dunblane massacre. The
tragedy dramatically accelerated the existing trend towards banning toy
guns and swords in shops and nurseries alike. But in a new book, We
Don’t Play With Guns Here, Holland says the ban on violent play should
be reconsidered. She argues that the zero-tolerance approach that
emerged in the 1960s
and 1970s was wrong to assume that "the spiral of male violence" could
be broken by preventing boys from playing aggressive games. Holland
claims that 30 years after the ban on playing with guns and
swords came into vogue, there has been no evidence of a decline in
their desire to play violent games. (If
you take a toy gun away from a boy, he will simply pick up a stick and
play with it as if he was still using the toy gun! Children are
curious, particularly boys. Age appropriate firearms training is the
ONLY way to keep them from possible injury should they come across a
discarded firearm, which has become more and more common, as
governments increase the world wide black market distribution of
firearms. We teach our children about the dangers of finding a
discarded needle, and have even surrendered to the fact that teaching
them 'age appropriate' information about sex will not turn them into
pimps and hookers. Why would teaching them about firearm safety, make
them want to shoot someone? Unfortunately, most educational systems are
run by 'paranoid urbans' who only see firearms in the news, and the
news NEVER reports anything positive about firearms or the RIGHT to
self defence. So what are we left with? Myths and Ignorance, that's
what were left with.)

GUARNIERI'S REPORT DECLARED A "CABINET SECRET"
OCTOBER 1, 2004 - BREITKREUZ'S ATI REQUEST TO THE DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENCE
Reference is being made to the Prime Minister's appointment of Hon.
Albina Guarnieri, Associate Minister of National Defence and Minister
of State (Civil Preparedness) to conduct a review of the federal
firearms program. Please provide copies of each draft report and the
final report prepared by the Associate Minister with respect to her
review of the federal firearms. NOVEMBER 3, 2004 - DEPT. OF NATIONAL DEFENCE RESPONSE
After a thorough review of the documentation, it has been determined
that requested information cannot be disclosed. The information you
requested is excluded in its entirety pursuant to Section 69(1) of the
Act. ["Cabinet confidences"] (There, problem solved... Millions spent on yet 'another' report that the liberals find undermines their true agenda. Again,
the Liberals use their most common tactic to with-hold TRUTH and ward
off EMBARRASSMENT. They simply make it a "Cabinet Secret".. I predicted
that this would happen, when I wrote a email to the CFC on June 14 2003
"Is it possible to get a complete copy of the 'latest' firearms report
from Albina Guarnieri.
or is it, as I suspect, been made a 'cabinet secret'
They sugested that I forward it to her office directly. which I did..
The email remains unanswered to this date.. I wonder why?)
TO: THE UNHAPPY STATES OF AMERICA
RE: YOUR APPLICATION OF ADOPTION BY CANADA
THANK YOU FOR YOUR interest in becoming us.
I'm pleased to say that during a regular meeting of all Canadians
held at Tim Horton donut shops last night, almost everyone in our
country voted in favor of your wish to "cede" to us - some thought that
word may be sexual, others were still upset about that whole War of
1812 thing, and at least a half a dozen ballots were ruined when coffee
was spilled pulling out of the drive-through.
Though the number in your party is far smaller than expected before
last Tuesday's presidential election, we do, however, have strict rules
in becoming citizens of Canada. You will, from this point on, pretend that Wal-Mart is a Canadian company.
From now on, you will no longer have to disguise Canadian landmarks while filming American movies.
Tell your children - that last letter is "zed."
As Canadians, you'll have to learn to embrace and use all the
products and culture of Americans, while publicly bad-mouthing their
way of life.
Relax. "Boxing Day" is not what it sounds like.
Neither is a "Robertson screw."
Tuques are cool - even if you live in Hawaii. (You
must also relinquish your personal safety to the government or the
police, who, as equal to their American counterparts, have no mandate
to protect your personal safety. They do however have lots of chalk for
body outlines.. Remember, criminals in Canada, are a protected species,
they have 'rights' while their victims do not, our courts and the
governments insure this, by making them as safe as possible while
performing in their chosen field. Criminals that would draw 20 years in
a American federal prison, are treated differently up here.. In some
cases, they are back on the street before the cop that arrested them is
home for dinner.. But look at the good side, the free health care will
mean if your shot, while confronting one of these protected
species, and live, you will only be out of pocket what they stole
from you.. That's the Canadian way..Get used to it...)
Come up to Canada..
Americans, sick of the political climate of their homeland, have long
sought refuge within Canadian borders. And let's face it, when compared
to the United States, Canada is a liberal utopia & we have
universal healthcare (in two languages!), gay marriage, free marijuana
for everyone, and we don't like guns. Already, our American
counterparts are fleeing the U.S. in droves and buying up land along
our borders. We envision a movement where everyone wins: Freedom of
expression and a politically convenient marriage with love and igloos
for all. Canadian singles, tired of the dating scene, are willing to
act for love or just plain pity. Let's drop our borders/ inhibitions/
commitment issues, set a date, pick out our china patterns and wed a
sexy American liberal. (Like the old 'brothers-in-law"
song "Come up to Canada, your neighbours in the north where we all live
in Maple trees.. We have tons and tons of arctic air, scores of
mounties everywhere, we'll make sure your money doesn't freeze" .. ha
ha ha .. Leave your freedoms at the border, and welcome to socialist
living! The government 'in your face' from cradle to grave.. where your
car is more likely to be stolen, and your house more likely to be
broken into, where "terrorists" are only a mythical bogeyman, happily
'rubber-stamped' into the country by the thousands, and politically
ignored by 'our' liberals as 'improbable' .. until of course a bomb
goes off in the subway.. Don't worry, be happy.. We accepted your draft
dodgers, we'll accept your Liberal cowards as well.. But wait!!! when
the Conservatives win the next election, will you be going home again?
'Parrish' the thought.. Hmmm thinking about Parrish! Right now,
this woman who's mouth is clearly not controlled by her brain, could
jump on Martins breakfast table and piss right in his corn flakes. He
would not be able to kick her out of the party, and she knows it and
exploits it.. He 'needs' every MP he's got, even the stupid, arrogant,
mouthy ones..)
American's gun crime a mistake, judge says
(But, not as big as the mistake he made 'next')
Halifax
-- An American who did not declare the haandgun he brought into Canada
on a research ship heading for Greenland will not carry a criminal
record for what a judge said yesterday was a thoughtless mistake.
"He appears to have had the unfortunate, casual attitude that seems
a lot more prevalent in the U.S. than in Canada regarding guns," Judge
Pat Curran said in Provincial Court as he granted an absolute discharge
to Matthew Morillo, 43, of Beverly, Mass.
After pleading guilty, Mr. Morillo donated $800 to the Canadian
Coalition for Gun Control and has submitted an article to Showboat
magazine warning others about the dangers of not reporting guns when
crossing the border. (Did
the judge
'ORDER' him to donate this cash to this dysfunctional organization,
where it will do absolutely no good what-so-ever? The Coalition for gun
control is a Taxpayer funded via Liberal theft, Non Governmental
Organization(???) that, is comprised of one or two paranoids
mired in the backwards agenda that promotes and vilifies 'GUNS' as the
problem, and not the criminals that use them. It's
absolutely idiotic to donate ANYTHING
to them. Why not donate it to the 21st century legacy of the liberal
government? After all, the Jean Chrétien National 'Food Banks' now
stretch from sea to shining sea!)
York Region safe place to live, work: chief
The rate of crimes against people and property were down, but drugs and
weapons violations were up. Drug violations went from 874 in the first
six months of 2003 to 1,112
from January to June this year and the rate also increased.
There were 323 weapons violations, compared to 259 in the same period
last year.
"The number of weapons being found is on the rise all across the
GTA," Chief La Barge said. "Our officers say they are seeing more guns
on the streets and it is a major concern."
(Certainly the 'Chief' is going
to say "it's a safe place to live and work", because he's paid to try
and make it that way. Think about it! The liberals have wasted a
BILLION AND A HALF DOLLARS on a 'gun control' farce that Allan
Rock said would prevent situations like this, and their STILL pumping
Millions into it every year.. Police are short of money, Hospitals are
short of money, infrastructure is falling apart all over the country,
and the Liberals continue to harass, track and persecute ONLY the
Hunters, collectors, and target shooters. Their recent budget for this
farce has directed absolutely NOTHING to safety and firearms education.
So much for 'safety' being their 'prime' concern. The ONLY thing their
trying desperately to save, is their own face. 75% of Canadians, and
that number grows every day, says SCRAP this FARCE, and put the money
where it can do some good.. enough is enough..)
"MYSTERY MECHANIC" BEHIND CHOPPER CRASH, REPORT SAYS
HALIFAX - A badly tuned engine is the likely cause of last year's Sea
King helicopter crash, but records showing who was responsible have
mysteriously disappeared. That's
the conclusion of a report released Monday by the Directorate of Flight
Safety, the air force agency that investigates aircraft accidents. The
report says mechanics incorrectly adjusted one of the Sea King's two
engines, but it's not known who. The crash happened in February of last
year. The aging helicopter lifted off the deck of HMCS Iroquois shortly
after it set out for the Persian Gulf to take part in the U.S.-led war
on terrorism. Just after takeoff, the chopper crashed back onto the
deck of the destroyer and rolled on its side. Two of the Sea King's
four crew members were slightly injured. (Well,
I guess this sounds much better than saying the mechanic ran out of
bubble gum, binder twine, and duct tape. The fact that these things
should not even 'still' be flying is the DIRECT responsibility of the
Liberal Government. To blame a mechanic for an error in patching these
flying crap buckets up, is inexcusable. How many of these things do we
even have left? Right now, their a bigger threat to our military than
any 'enemy' they face!)
Lone Ranger’s 'kemosabe' not racist, court says
The court ruling confirmed a earlier decision
by a Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission board of inquiry. That
decision was made after the board spent a full shift watching “Lone
Ranger” reruns. The board found that at the
start of their relationship, Tonto, a native American, had recognized
the injured Lone Ranger as the man who had saved his life years before,
and started calling him kemosabe. “When
asked what it meant, Tonto responded ’trusty friend,”’ the board found.
“Both the Lone Ranger and Tonto treat one another with respect...At no
time during the episodes is the term kemosabe ever used in a demeaning
or derogatory manner.” The board found,
however, that while Tonto was always treated with respect, the
long-running U.S. TV series treated other native American characters in
a demeaning manner. (Oooo
Thank heaven Tonto never corrupted 'me' as a child... Other than
wearing my trusty six-guns that every other kid on the street was
packing.. You know, back in the days before guns were 'evil' ..Now that
Tonto has been cleared of racist epitaphs, should our socialist courts
now look at the despicable term of referring to Red Rider's 'Little
Beaver'? Perhaps Pat Brady's 'Nellie Bell' is a gender slur at
comparing a woman to a jeep? Was "Jingles" a homophobic slur for
Wild Bills sidekick, or was Pauncho, Cisco's generic term for
chubby Mexicans? The politically correct mind boggles... Now of course
there's nothing left to deal with other than "Fuddle Duddle", "Pass the
Tequila Sheila" and "Americans I hate Those Bastards" all said of
course by socialist politicians..)
FIREARM
FOLLIES #2: LIBERAL REPORT
FABRICATES
FIREARM PROGRAM BENEFITS
The
Liberal’s tried to put a brave face on their waste of more than a
billion dollars by providing two pages of so-called benefits in their
recent 66-page report on the Canada Firearms Program.
The sad truth is that every shooting reported by
the media proves the soon-to-be $2 billion firearms program isn’t
working. Think about it – even if the Liberals can’t.
If the gun was unregistered – it failed!
If the gun was registered – it failed!
If the gun owner was unlicenced – it failed!
If the gun owner was licenced – it failed!
It’s time for Parliament to scrap Bill C-68 and cut the
public’s losses before another billion is flushed down the drain. (And
now of course, David Austin says the opponents of the program "are
propagating the 'myth' that all references and background checks should
be done on 'each' applicant" Well, it wasn't a "myth" before the
Liberals decided to make us all safer by handing out licences to anyone
that had ten bucks for a POL. The local police issuing a FAC,
'used to' check all references, and people BEFORE
they got the FAC.. But 'that' was back when the rate of refusals to
FAC's issued was MUCH higher that the rate of refusal is today. The
Liberal cheer that they have 'refused' 9000 people firearms licences..
BIG DEAL that's 0.45 of 1 percent.. That only means that the vast
majority of people that have applied for licenses are not criminals..
But then again, 'criminals' do not apply for licenses or register their guns. The Liberals are simply pandering to the stupid and ignorant
among us, that think the 'guns' are the problem and not the criminals!
If all the guns in the world, suddenly dissolved, the bad guys would
'still' be sticking knives into you, and beating you to death with
blunt objects. It's way past the time to pull your heads out of your
collective asses, stop blaming the 'object' and start blaming the user)
Parliament's West Block crumbling from years of Liberal Neglect
The Liberal government is under fire for acting like a slum
landlord as MPs flee a crumbling federal building that's making
staffers sick. Slamming the Confederation-era West Block building as a
health and safety hazard, Ontario Liberal Lui Temelkowvski moved to
another Parliament Hill office after he and his employees got scratchy
throats and sore eyes from asbestos exposure. And in the wake of a
three-pound brick crashing through her
second-floor ceiling, Conservative MP Diane Ablonczy is also packing up
for relocation.
Ablonczy accused the government of neglecting its heritage jewels while
wasting cash on VIP jets and a failed gun registry.
NDP Pat Martin called the decrepit building an "atrocious situation."
Martin was already forced to vacate another government building
about five years ago after staff boycotted over daily dustings of
asbestos covered their desks.
(Well, "A daily dusting of
asbestos covered their desks" Now that 'this' has been documented,
thanks to the Liberals neglect 'again', the taxpayer will be on the
hook for millions and millions in lawsuits as public servants fall, one
after the other, to asbestosis, and related illnesses, real or
imagined. Ontario residents who went to school here in the 50's, should
also jump on the bandwagon. The teachers used to give us loose asbestos
to mix in water and mould things out of, in grade 3.. My how
times change!)
Liberals & Spending under review
House standing committees, which are now all controlled by the
opposition parties in this 38th Parliament, are supposed to spend the
next 30 days poring through the Liberal government's $187-billion
spending plans for the current 2004-05 fiscal year. While many will pass these on the nod, as per usual, others are
already making plans to cutback certain programs such as the
controversial gun registry. The Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness
Committee is another committee to watch. It will be reviewing the
government's trouble gun registry program, which is billions of dollars
over budget. Led the, Tory MP Garry Breitkreuz, the
Conservatives on the committee are trying to erase millions from the
$119.7-million set aside by the government for its gun registry this
year. The spending plans are actually the same batch tabled in Parliament last spring. (Liberal 'spending' (and
waste) SHOULD finally be under review. The Auditor General is STILL
trying to piece together the billions of dollar the liberals have
stashed in various foundations and accounts out of her reach! THIS IS
NOT LIBERAL MONEY.. THIS IS TAXPAYERS MONEY BEING HIDDEN BY LIBERALS.
Now that the opposition parties finally out number these political
thieves 'something' is bound to come to the surface. What ever it is,
the liberals will no longer be able to hide it.. Millions of dollars
wasted every year on a stupid gun registry that has, and always will
be, ineffectual at controlling crime. Every year they cry poor as far
as tax reductions are concerned, but STILL manage to pull BILLIONS
seemingly out of their asses, when they need it for political patronage,
and general 'feel good' spending. The public is getting sick of
it..)
In Brazil, buyback program part of ambitious gun-control effort
Despite the law's early success, the pulse of violence in Brazil
persists. The number of firearms handed over is minuscule compared with
the total thought to be in circulation, and daily headlines in Rio
throb with accounts of fatal street robberies, shoot-outs between
criminals and police, and wanton bloodletting among feuding drug gangs
that have no intention of surrendering their stockpiles.
"The government says there are 8 million to 20 million guns in the
country. The 130,000 is a drop in the ocean," said Leonardo Arruda,
spokesman for the National Association of Gun Owners and Vendors, which
opposes the law.
Gun deaths have reached staggering levels in Brazil. Someone is killed
by a bullet every 12 minutes, adding up to more than 40,000 such deaths
a year -- many more than occur in the United States.
The new legislation imposes strict criteria for gun ownership,
establishes a unified national gun registry, forbids most ordinary
citizens to carry firearms in public, and calls for a referendum a year
from now on whether to ban gun sales entirely, a measure that probably
would pass by a large majority if the vote were held today.
What the law does not do, critics note, is disarm criminals. (There
are now two places on this side of the world that will become
'experiments' in the ability of gun control laws to decrease crime. The
first is Washington D.C. which currently has a horrendous number of
shootings every year, and until very recently has 'banned' the
ownership of firearms. This ban is now over, and people can now defend
themselves. The Firearms ban had resulted in Washington D.C. to have a
victim rate more than ten times higher than any neighbouring state.
Brazil is disarming the law abiding, the guns it's buying back, are NOT
coming from 'the street'. Will the death rate now go up, or down,
once the criminals are assured their victims will not be shooting back,
or defending themselves with firearms? When dealing with ANY predator,
Man or Animal, showing 'weakness' will never keep you safe. Power
removed from the victim, ALWAYS transfers to the predator. Planning on
visiting Brazil? I would wait until the experiment is over!)
-Gun Control, Working as 'Expected' In South Africa-
SAPS failing to curb number of firearms
"The new legislation implemented this year is aimed at eradicating
illicit weapons and controlling the issuing of licences for legal
firearms," Selebi said. But firearms legal expert Martin Hood
disagrees, saying the legislation will encourage the proliferation of
illegal guns. "Law-abiding citizens who want a firearm because of high
crime levels will turn to illicit weapons for protection, increasing
the demand for illegal weapons," said Hood. Hood said an increased
demand for illegal guns could possibly result in an increase in
gun-theft related crime. "We may have a situation in which we may see
an increase in crime on civilians and the SAPS with the specific aim of
procuring weapons," he said. Hood also pointed out that the majority of
weapons destroyed by the SAPS were legal firearms. "Illegal firearms do
not comprise a significant portion of all weapons destroyed," he said.
Chandré Gould, who was involved in researching and compiling the
GFSA/CCR report, said that the perception that violent crime in South
Africa was on the increase could create a demand for illegal weapons. (Does
this mean Wendy gets 'another' free trip to S.A. ? After all, gun
control has had the very same effect in the U.K., and now Canada's
number of criminal held firearms is multiplying tenfold. The government
persecutes the former law abiding, who are 'now' criminals because when
Law 'Enforcement' in
Canada say "Your Papers Please" there are none to show. The ones that
'do' have "papers" to show, are tracked and recorded with every move,
while those banned by law from having firearms are of no interest
what-so-ever to the government. Their Criminals, their 'going' to break
the law, and they usually break enough laws so they can plea bargain
the firearms charges away anyway! So, why waste time constantly
watching them? Instead the government goes after the 'paper less'
hunter who has broken no other laws, and consequently has nothing to
bargain with. The result? A Government press release telling folks how
they got a firearms conviction, and 'another' bunch of guns "of the
street", but never of course mentioning that the guns they got, were
never, have never, and never would
have been "on the street" in the first place. It's all about defending
government waste, and trying to convince the 'sheeple' their doing
their 'political' best to "fight crime" and garner votes from the
stupid and unaware. )
Is Common Sense Starting to Prevail In Crime Ridden U.K. ?
The rights
of people to defend their homes have been highlighted after
a judge said he could not criticise a man who shot and wounded a
burglar. Kenneth Faulkner, 73, who had endured a number of
break-ins at his isolated farmhouse in Ockbrook, Derbys, has not faced
any charges. The burglar he shot, John Rae, 22, was given a seven-year
jail term on Monday.
Now a number of groups are calling for the laws about confronting
intruders to be clarified. Passing sentence on Rae, Judge Andrew
Hamilton said he
was "an absolute menace" and it was right that Mr Faulkner was not
prosecuted over the incident.
The case follows the death of Robert Symons who was stabbed to death by
an intruder in his London house on 20 October. It also echoes the
Norfolk farmer, Tony Martin, who was sent to prison for the
manslaughter of a burglar. Mr Martin's friend, Malcolm Starr, says the
law must be changed to protect the homeowner. "The bottom line on this
is that the victim is the householder ": Roger Gale, Conservative MP (The
law abiding householder' is 'always' the victim. Whenever a government
makes self defence illegal, it only opens the door to more crime, and
more victims. It's always important to remember as well, that the people who
pass these laws are invariably protected by armed security, or police.
They are basically saying that 'YOU' are not worthy of the same
protection, unless 'YOU' are one of the elite, or 'in their eyes',
lives 'worth' protecting! It only stands to reason, that now in the
U.K., some government 'ass' will launch an appeal in this case, for no
other reason than to keep the peasants in their place, and solely
dependant upon illusory security that in fact, will probably never
arrive in time!)
THE CFC 'BROWNSHIRT' PROGRAM IS BACK ON
Friends don't let friends become 'verifiers'
We are looking for individuals who are knowledgeable about firearms and are
willing to volunteer their services as a verifier to firearm owners and
businesses in their community. If any members of your club or range are
interested in becoming approved verifiers, they may contact the Verifiers’
Network at 1 800 731-4000, ext 1052 for more information. Training, support and
some resource tools will be provided by the Canada Firearms Centre. (Want
a quick trip to jail for making a 'error' in verifying a firearm? Join
the CFC 'Brownshirt' program, helping to insure the future loss of ALL
your firearms.. Just Like the one they abandoned before, this program
is particularly suited to those that have a mental condition that
requires the feeling of 'importance', or 'recognition' in people that
do not have the prerequisite mental attitude/education to be a police
officer, or soldier. Plus of course, they want you to do this for free
because their only 2 Billion over budget for a harebrained plan that
has never worked 'anywhere' on the planet.. A plan that 'could' have
bought and installed hundreds of MRI's while saving lives right across
this country.. Is health care 'really' another #1 priority from Martin?
or is it simply 'Peasant Control' and Squandering Tax Dollars? ALSO,
don't forget to ask your "verifier" if he or she is a police officer
before allowing them in your house. That in itself can open you up to
all forms of potential problems)
