the news is that i am filled with the craving to study at UQ, i blame my Uncle Geoff, who took me there when i was seven years old.

when i am at home at tafe i listen to deepmix russian radio and it is excellent, and i can't seem to get it anyway else, but now that it is hotlinked it might work

here we go, what am i all about? when i am not feeling well, Nesting makes me feel better, and everything alright again. i like to potter around in my flat.

i like to write, i write a lot, i wrote a Novel: So You Thought This Was Nirvana, or the Australian Book of the Dead. when i get angry about things, and people like John Laws, i like to write it down. BEAT HIM DOWN!!!

i can't believe this is so hard, time to go back to the paper page, and pen

one of the first things that i ever read that got me really interested in writing poetry was Earthed, by Steve Kilbey. i first read it in 1988. this is a snippets. if ever a girl missed a book, i miss that one. Steve, you need to republish. there is also a record by Steve called Earthed, which is the music to read the poetry to. not to be confused with Unearthed, which is another record....

then i started to write poetry of my own.

in 1992 it was silly poetry, "Ode to the Piece of Green Stuff on the Floor".

1993 was the year of depressed poetry, Ode To the Dream of Life, is a pretentious title for another poem about dying. misspellings are intentional Summerland is about dying, i wrote that during exams, in 1996, when i was depressed and thinking about dying, so i wrote this instead. and i have written the Story of Northern Exposure. i have been using this in my film, Breathe. and of course Diaries are invaluable. i cannot speak highly enough of diaries, except to say that i will keep a diary for as long as i can write or speak. and dreams! i have recorded many of my dreams. here is but one. i had this dream this year, in 2004. and when the Race Around the World began in 1996, it began my obssession with film making. some of the first ideas i wrote up were for the Sunrise Competition.

i also wrote a lot of stuff when i went wwoofing

Ayla is the main character of the Earth's Children series, that i started reading again, a few months ago.
