yesterday i finished reading the Mammoth Hunters, and i was very sad, i should see if they have the next one here. and they do! The Plains of Passage. i'll be getting that one out tomorrow.

but till then, i am going to write about what i think of the Mammoth Hunters. issues that it has raised in me. is Jean Auel a crazed sex addict? or is she just pissed off with the whole thing about sex between women and men and how it is so hard to talk to them about sex, what is good sex, blah blah

the ritual of making the amulet for Rydag for his naming and burial, why does she make Ayla do the making of the tools in Clan style? it seemed to be familiar, like something that i would do.
