Pilot: Frank Williams Road: Germantown Rd. Situation: The pilot was on a very technical course with minimal experiance and was also faced with much opposing traffic. During a relitively fast turn the pilot started drifting into the opposing lane. Two pickup trucks then appeared coming the opposite way and the pilot tryed to turn harder. The result is that the pilot avoided being hit by the trucks, but then high-sided and tumbled. Frank was able to stad up after the crash with minimal injuries. The helmet wasn't scratched and had been kept from hitin the roadway. The leather suit's paint had been rubbed off in some places. The luge was undamaged, except for the footpegs, which were easily bent back into place. Injuries: The only injuries that were sustained was the loss of some skin on the outside of the right ankle. |
