CONCLUSION
SUMMATION
Knowing the general
philosophy of Adolph Hitler is important not only in its own right and
because many of its components are thriving, indeed polluting and defiling
much of today’s world, but also, and even more consequentially, because
of the degree to which his beliefs, attitudes, and visions in the areas
of religion, politics, economics, and social issues duplicate, resemble,
and presage those of George W. Bush and his allies. The overlap is
startling if not alarming. If hyperbolic activities such as mass
executions, gas chambers, firing squads, numerous tortures and one-party
police state tactics are relegated to the back-burner and the focus is
on philosophy and ideology, the parallels and duplications are plentiful,
obvious, and unnerving. This becomes most readily apparent when views
and actions during the early years of Nazi rule, as opposed to those during
the war years, are compared to those of today. This can be easily
proven by exposing an incredible number of comments found in the writings
of Hitler himself as opposed to a wide variety of statements and assertions
by scholars, historians, political pundits and similar outside observers
whose objectivity and accuracy is sometimes deficient.
"Hitler's
Hitler was someone quite other than the Hitler of the biographers, none
of whom knew him personally."
HITLER'S LETTERS AND
NOTES, by Werner Maser, (1973), page 369
Hitler’s own writings,
and who is in a better position to know and express his views than Hitler
himself, prove beyond any doubt that fascism, crypto-fascism, and neo-fascism
are alive, well, and even thriving in many phases of current world affairs.
Contrary to the views of many, fascism certainly did not cease to play
a prominent role on the world stage with the conclusion of WWII.
Not only do many of
the immediate followers and supporters of Bush reflect and project numerous
aspects of Hitlerian thought but many of those adhering to, or sympathetic
with, the Bushite philosophy in America’s past, such as the Reaganites,
McCarthyites, and Goldwaterites, belong within this fraternity. There
has always been a powerful fascist or fascist-sympathizing component within
the American political spectrum and the degree of adherence to same has
often varied according to national conditions and the amount of dissension.
For this reason, as much as any other, It is of cardinal importance that
the philosophy and ideology of Hitler and his discerning and unwitting
sympathizers receive close scrutiny as opposed to the horrendous excesses
and atrocities so representative of Nazi activities and known to the world
at large.
By quoting Hitler’s
writings, speeches, and books one can easily demonstrate how they are prior
representations of currently prominent ideological contentions in all too
many respects. Having stated the foregoing, the only requirement
remaining is to substantiate these generalizations and the most propitious
topic with which to initiate a myriad of comparisons and duplications is
religion since that lies at the core of both Bush and Hitler’s philosophy.
