About Aoshi:
Aoshi is the leader of the Oniwabanshuu. Okina was supposed
to be the leader but he gave the position to Aoshi (15
at that time) because he believed that a younger leader
would be better. In the Meiji era, he was offered a
government position but declined because he didn't want
to leave his friends.
The Onibawanshuu were hired by Takeda Kanryuu who
had forced Megumi to make opium. When Kenshin tried
to rescue Megumi, he had a fight with Aoshi. Although
just barely, Kenshin defeated him in battle. Aoshi was
suprised that Kenshin didn't kill him. Just then Kanryuu
appeared with a gatling gun and said that he no longer
needs the Onibawanshuu and shot at Aoshi. He was hit
but after that, the Onibawanshuu died protecting him.
When Henyya was the last one left, he told Kenshin to
attack while he has the attention of Kanryuu. He too
was shot to death but Kenshin was able to stun Kanryuu.
When the police arrived, they didn't find Aoshi or any
of the Onibawanshuu. Aoshi buried his friends and swore
to avenge them and defeat Kenshin in order to be entitled
as the strongest. He improved his skills with his double
kodachi and allied with Shishio. In order to find Kenshin,
he had to fight Okina who nearly died. On his second
fight with Kenshin, he returned to his old self. Again
he was defeated.

Kaiten Kenbu |
Aoshi's most powerful attack.
The Kaiten Kenbu starts off with the user
in the air, then quickly slashes the opponent
three times. No one has ever survived from
this attack (except for Kenshin). |
Kaiten Kenbu Rokuren |
This technique was thought up
by Aoshi during the Shi-Shio Saga when he
switched his style to Kodachi No Nitou Ryu
(Double Kodachi Style). This is basically
the same as the Kaiten Kenbu but done with
two kodachi. However, instead of slashing
three times, Aoshi slashes six times. This
technique can be initiated by either hand.
|
Waterflow |
A defensive technique of the
Oniwa Banshu Kodachi Ryu. Aoshi slows down
his movements and produces multiple images
of himself making it hard for the opponent
to hit the real Aoshi. |
Waterflow switch to Kaiten Kenbu |
An attack Aoshi only used once
during the series. He starts off with the
Waterflow technique to confuse the opponent,
then quickly switches to the Kaiten Kenbu
to finish off the opponent. Because this combo
switches from defense to offense, it leaves
Aoshi defenseless for a split second. |
