Chapter 25
89* Giloka
Keeper of realm: Derda/ a.k.a. Earth
"Do think?" started Kathleen, "That it's?"
"No it couldn't be, I mean right? If are world was ran by someone named '89* Giloka' we'd know…" Chandra read it again, " Well even if it was real then who is watching over Earth now?" Kathleen didn't reply, she just read it over and over; so much she had it memorized.
"Derda, what a pretty name lets look at the next one Chandra." They moved down the row reading the strange names and strange places; both amazed not really believing any of it. They had finished reading the tombs and Kathleen noticed a large marble plaque in the very back, curios she and Chandra went over to read it.
"Its like some type of grid," said Chandra looking it over, "like a stats chart of who's in charge of who." Kathleen was stunned in amazement.
"Wow, there is a keeper to every realm and then five watchers to look over all the other keepers then a guide that helps out the five watchers." Chandra looked it over herself, and spotted something at the very bottom.
" It says 'Every watcher must be trained by the age of fifteen or the realms will fall apart, under control to those who whiled the crystals.' Ok and that means what to us?" Chandra sighed and ran her hands along the words. Kathleen read everything to herself trying to make sense of it.
"You know, we still haven't found the clue," Kathleen muttered, "This is all starting to look hopeless." Chandra smiled and pulled something out of one of her pockets,
"Don't worry I found it all ready."
"Chandra!" Kathleen yelled, "How long did you have it?"
"Oh since I first came in here, truthfully I forgot about it." She smiled and ran back toward the rope latter. Kathleen followed and brought the lantern with, figuring that they could find away to carry it; it might be helpful later. Kathleen met Chandra up at the top and took the time to chew her out before having her read the clue.
"Alright, alright I'll read it already," said Chandra defensively, she unrolled the clue and read:
Visit the waterfall on your map,
For you'll find a friend; a chap,
Tis only the beginning it gets much worse,
The wolves are hungry, to curse,
Shadows lead to unexpected friends,
They're the kind that won't pretend.
"Well this one's the first to really make sense," Kathleen breathed, "Lets take a look at your map." Chandra pulled out her map and they located the waterfall in no time; it was pretty close to here and they should be able to reach it by nightfall.
"Maybe the shadow you've been seeing is really a friend." Chandra commented.
"Well that settles the wolf problem too," brought up Kathleen, "I don't think I would have trusted them in the first place." Chandra nodded her head and they both took a part of the lantern and put a piece in one of their pockets. Overhead it looked like a storm was moving in and Kathleen prayed it wouldn't rain before they got to the waterfall. Chandra memorized her map and put it away; so that it wouldn't get wet when it did decide to rain. The walked through the forest without the guide of a trail, the wind started to pick up but the sun was still shinnying slightly.
"A shadow!" pointed Kathleen chasing after it.
"Up a head it's the waterfall cave entrance!" pointed Chandra in the direction the shadow was heading.
Kathleen and Chandra stopped when the shadow did they both looked up and saw, a girl with wings.
"Is it a fairy?" asked Kathleen amazed.
"No I'm not a fairy, silly." Said the winged girl fluttering down towards the two; she had long gray wings and long black hair. She looks like she could be a Victoria's Secret model, thought Kathleen.
"I've come to bring you news, and information." She landed next to Kathleen. "Come with me and warm," the girl walked into the waterfall cave, inside they sat down just as it started to rain the girl motioned for them to sit.
"I have much to tell you, first that Nova was under control of an evil being and was told to send you to your death but she did not she made the mistake of sending you on this testing, oh that dratted evil girl will probably kill Nova when she finds out."
"Who will?" asked Chandra not really sure she could be trusted.
"Ivory, she killed the leaches to obtain their powers and wants you dead."
"I'm sorry but I just can't see Ivory doing that," said Kathleen, query of the girl.
"Oh, I didn't want to have to show you this but," a sad look crossed her face "I guess it's the only way. Come follow me." She led the girls though the tunnels as the sound of a waterfall became louder. In here she said after leading them through the tunnel work. The girls entered and gasped in surprise.
"Hannah?" whispered Kathleen, staring at the form of her friend trapped in a crystal.
"Yes, Ivory drained the life out of her, see that's why she appears so old."
"But why?" asked Chandra stunned.
"Hannah was a threat to her, but I can't figure out why." she smiled, and a strange flicker crossed her eyes; but Chandra and Kathleen hadn't noticed.
"What's your name?" asked Chandra.
"Oh," said the girl. "Silly me I forgot, I'm" she bowed and fluttered her wings, "Whisp."
