Obituary: She has gone to be with Jesus.
On April the 9th. about 7 o'clock the death angel visited the home of Jefferson Williams and took his dear wife, Mrs. Laura Williams. She was the daughter of James W. and Martha Hale of Karbers Ridge. She was born Feb 24, 1870. Departed this life April the 9th, being 52 years 1 month and 13 days old. She was married to Jefferson Willilams about 35 years ago. To this union were born seven children. Those that are living are Ellsworth Virgil, Jeff, James, Theadore, Eula and Edgar. The oldest son died when small. All that loving hands could do was done but all in vain. She told her husband when she first got sick she was going to die and her only regret was leaving him and the children. She leaves behind a husband six children, 5 five grandchildren, a dear old mother, five brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Her remains were taken to Leamington Church house where her funeral was preached by Brother Robert Dawson on Apr. the 19th. about 2 o'clock p.m. The remains was laid to rest in the Leamington Cemetery with her dear child. Will say to the husband, children, mother and relatives and friends, she has gone to be with Jesus. We can not bring her back but God has provided a way through the stoning blood of his son that enables all to go where she has gone and spend eternity.
