Obituary for , Hardin County Illinois Mrs. Ethel McDowell, wife of C.H. McDowell, who has had the flu and developed into double pneumonia, died at 6 o'clock p.m. Friday. She was laid to rest in the Cave-in-Rock cemetery Saturday afternoon. She leaves a husband and her children, one which is seriously ill with the flu, a father and mother, one brother and one sister, besides other relatives and friends to mourn her death. Drs Oxford and Gregory did all in their power to save her but all their knowledge of medicine and the efforts of those who cared for her couldn't check the dreadful disease.
