Michael Wolf
(Jacob,2 Michael1) was the grandson of the Michael Wolf who immigrated to America. He was b. 16 Sep 1764,
married to Mary Magdalene Catherine "Caty" Hedrick
in 1780 and then died 4 Dec 1831, Izard Co., AR. Wolf family lore lists
his wife as thought
to be the daughter of Capt. Peter Hedrick (RN21), but after researching
THE HEDRICK FAMILY as edited by Aubrey W. Hedrick, that fact cannot be
established. Without possessing positive proof documents, but with many
years of research, I am going to state my belief as to who the
parents of Michael's wife were.
Hedrick Family Research:
Goedthmann Heydrick born about 1616 in Heupertsweiler, Pfalz, Bavaria and
he died 24 Aug 1667 in Heupertsweiler, Pfalz, Bavaria. He married (1)
Sarah Kohl. He married (2) Margaretha Unknown 1637. Children
were: Enders, Abraham, antonius, Adam and Maria.
Hans Adam Heydrick was born July 09, 1654 in Ulmst, Pfalz, Bavaria, and
died 17 Jan 1729 in Oberalben, Pfalz, Bavaria. He married (1) Maria
Catheina Unknown 1674 in Germa;ny. she died in 1691 or 92. He
married (2) Anna Elizabeth Faust, daughter of Nicholas and Maria Weber
Faust on November 27, 1693 in Lichtenberg, Bavaria. There were four
children by the first wife and seven by the second wife. One of
these children was Christopher born 10 February 1703 or 1704 in Bavaria
and dying 6 Oct 1781 in Berks Co., PAChristopher Hetrick/Heydrick
married Magdalena Sontag on 3 Jun 1747 in Berks Co., PA. It believed
that perhaps he had a marriage in Bavara before coming to this countgry.
So he either had a second or thrid marriage to someone known as Anna
Barbara (maybe Brosius). The gap is evident between the ages
of his children to reflect that a wife died and he remarried and had more
children. One of the younger children was Maria Magrathalena, also
shown to be Mary Magdalena Catherina Hedrick) born 1773 and the person who
married Michael Wolf, son of Jacob Wolf. (Hedyrich and Hedrick
family data is available on line for you own review. It related how
Christopher Hedrick got to NC.
This is the data supporting the selection of Christopher and 3rd
wife Anna Barbara Unknown as the parents of our Mary Magdalena Catherina
