This
work marks a change in policy for mundiclubpubs. The mc has decided to
publish works some of its works which are only in a preliminary state.
This is because it is becoming increasingly absurd leaving so many almost
completed works, with masses of interesting quotes, sitting in a computer
for anything up to five years. At the very least such quotes ought to
be made available for others to use. This is the first draft' publication
so, be warned, it is patchy - some sections are more draughty than others.
Please treat this work primarily as a source of quotes and new ideas -
preliminary elaborations of geocentricism. The
section Brutland is the Dirty Man of Europe' first appeared in tf10
p.25 and the section Scientific Corruption' also appeared in the
same section p.24. The first has been extensively rewritten and updated. Two of brutland's starkest
characteristics are its corruption and brutality. This might come as a surprise
to those who believe brutland is a modern, civilized country with a proud heritage,
cultural sophistication, first class technological innovations, and citizens
with a stiff-upper lip and strong respect for the law. Whilst brutality pervades
the country with a flood of blood, corruption is much less visible. Over the
centuries this country's ruling landowning aristocracy has built up powerful
bonds of loyalties between its members and they seem far more successful in
burying corruption than other ruling elites without this tradition. It is not
often that corruption is exposed but even when it is, it is rapidly buried.
Members of the ruling aristocracy can even commit murder and get away with it
as those eton lads manage to do with lord lucan.
The main hypothesis of this
work is that brutland's violence stems from political corruption. In the past
the mc regarded his issue as much too anthropogenic but the recent spate of
national disasters brought about by the country's landowning elite has not only
made this a very prominent issue but is clearly connected to critical anthropocentric
issues. The first part of this work looks at the corruption whilst the second
part highlights the barbarism.
The Wholesale Corruption of the Brutish EstablishmentWealth.
Land.
There is a long-settled
aristocracy in brutland which owns most of the land. Education.
Private schools are given
government grants and charitable status which helps to foster their anti-welfare
ideology. .. "more than half of all Oxford entrants .. come from a private-school
system which educates a mere 7% of our pupils."[1]
The privileges of this education for the elite damages that of education for
all other children. The Old Boys Network
The country's old boys network
is established at public schools, consolidated through oxbridge universities,
reinforced through freemasonry, and culminates in the house of commons, the
house of lords, government quangoes, and company directorships. The old boys'
network is a two faced phenomenon - when the tory party are in power it is known
as the quango gravy train and when labour is in power it is known as cronyism
but basically it's the same thing with the same people except the latter includes
more trade unionists. The Firm - as they call themselves.
The windsors have been described
as .. "the most selfish, ruthless, cold, arrogant family in the land. That in
the 21stc there is nothing more ridiculous than tax paying citizens bowing and
scraping to these pampered accidents of birth."[2]; .. "the uncritical
press coverage of the queen mother's pageant was published on the same morning
as a coruscating report from the united nations, condemning the level of censorship
under which british newspapers have to operate, along with this country's pitiful
record on freedom of information. Did you know that one of the most thorough
books ever written about the windsors - The Royals by Kitty Kelly - cannot be
bought in britain? It's a best seller in the u.s. but not only has it never
been published here, british booksellers will not even import it for fear of
prosecution. And why is it effectively banned in this country? Because .. it
reveals them for what they are - a wealthy, self centred, dysfunctional, thoroughly
unpleasant, and not very likeable family."[3] The Playboy Prince.
"Playboy prince andrew has
been ordered by the queen to dump his dodgy pals and their murky world of cocaine,
crime and casual sex before he damages the monarchy for good. The queen and
prince philip were furious after their son was pictured cavorting with topless
beauties and touring red-light districts during a holiday in phuket, thailand.
But there were appalled when they palace investigations revealed his new found
friends have notorious links to hard drugs. These include
Pop singer jenny frost,
whose armed robber and drug addict ex-fiancé served seven and a half years in
dartmoor prison
britpack actor sean pertwee,
who was expelled from three schools, is alleged to have regularly snorted cocaine
and is described as "a nasty, nasty piece of work"
his wife jacqui hamilton-smith,
a fun loving aristocrat who dated pop star robbie williams at the height of
his drink and drug addictions;
record producer nellee hooper,
notorious in showbiz for moving in heavy drug using circles;
stunning model erica baxter,
who lived with singer jason donovan while he was in the grip of a terrible addiction
to cocaine and ecstasy, and
socialite ghislaine maxwell,
daughter of britain's biggest crook and disgraced tycoon tober maxwell, who
escorted andrew to a sleazy "hookers and pimps" party in new york."[4];
"Freeloading prince andrew today faces the overwhelming fury of the queen, her
top officials and other senior royals over his shameless playboy antics. Andrew
rakes in £300,000 a year from taxpayers."[5]
Political Appointees to Quangoes. Quangoes set up to Protect Politicians Interest.
In brutland, there are more
people running quangoes than there are local councillors, "Unelected quangoes
have grown in size and importance - there are now around 60,000 quangocrats
compared to just 25,000 local councillors in the country."[6]
On top of this undemocratic
structure there is political corruption as each political party seeks to appoint
its own supporters to these quangoes. Tory governments from 1979 to 1997 appointed
huge numbers of tory party members to government quangoes, "The government has
also used its power of patronage to reward political supporters. Thus christopher
benson, chairman of the sun alliance group which donated £280,000 to the conservative
party was appointed to the funding agency for schools. A report by the independent'
stated that of the 185 nhs trust chairs examined, 62 had clear links with the
conservative party."[7] It has been estimated that there are .. "40,000
tory-appointed members of quangoes - unaccountable public bodies."[8] When the labour
party was in opposition its submission to the nolan committee investigating
government sleaze will .. "demand rigorous scrutiny to halt John Major's "quango
gravy train". It will also demand a detailed register of the 40,000 Tory-appointed
members of quangoes - unaccountable public bodies."[9]
In the 1980s one of the benefits for middle class people joining the tory party
was in the hope of being offered a £10,000 a year sinecure on a tory quango.
Some of the recruitment to fill posts on the tories' quango gravy train was
done at tory party political meetings. Quangoes.
The Meat and Livestock Commission.
"The Meat and Livestock
Commission have a £20 million advertising budget. .. in the present climate
of consumer anxiety about the health of red meat. The recipe for love'
commercials have a budget of £7m. Ned Sherrin who was brought up on farms said
that slaughtering animals is part of the rich tapestry of life."[10] National Consumers Council.
"the national consumers' council (ncc), a government-sponsored body under
the wing of maff .."[11] The Environment Agency.
Given that pharmers are
the world's biggest Earth rapists it might seem a little odd that they are given
responsibility for protecting the environment. This is yet another reason why
the blame for global burning is currently being placed not on pharmers but on
industry, "Lord de ramsey .. has been chairman of the environment agency since
1995 and also chairs the 6,500 acre family farming business in cambridgeshire."
Ramsey seems to be a big supporter of genetic engineering which is even more
environmentally destructive than prairie farming, "The boss of the environment
agency is allowing genetically modified crop experiments on his land for a second
time. Lord de ramsey. the chairman of the government watchdog, sparked fury
last year when it was revealed he was allowing gm food giant monsanto to carry
out experiments on his land. Despite the row he is now renting 60 acres of his
estate in abbots ripton, cambs, to a swedish firm which is carrying out three
tests on oilseed rape."[12] Blair's Friendship with Eccelstone.
.. "his (Bernie Ecclestone)
Formula One Constructors' Association does run the grand Prix motor racing throughout
the world, and he is one of those who decides where, how and when each race
is held. In 1993, the government of the state of Victoria, which is Thatcherite,
gave Ecclestone the right to hold the Australian Grand prix in Albert park,
the most popular park in melbourne, serving some 30,000 people. The Victorian
government struck a £21 million deal with Ecclestone entirely behind closed
doors. An extraordinary act of the state parliament was hurried through that
exempted the Grand Prix from Australia's Freedom of Information Act and from
all laws governing environmental impact studies, pollution and planning controls.
more than 1,000 great trees, including healthy English elms, have already been
torn up. (The premier of Victoria is Jeff Kennett. His close friend is Ron Walker,
national treasurer of Kennett's Liberal (conservative) party who is .. joint
managing director of one of the biggest shareholders in the huge Crown casino,
which stands near the proposed track in Albert park."[13] Censorship.
A Compliant Media.
.. "the uncritical press
coverage of the queen mother's pageant was published on the same morning as
a coruscating report from the united nations, condemning the level of censorship
under which british newspapers have to operate, along with this country's pitiful
record on freedom of information. Did you know that one of the most thorough

The country's elite own
vast tracts of land in this country. The landowning elite prevent anyone from
discovering the scale of their land ownership for the simple reason that people
can't protest about injustices they know nothing about. Members of Parliament.
The House of Lords.
It's quite amazing to appreciate
that the landed aristocracy in brutland had an effective veto over all democratic
legislation throughout the entire 20thc. And there doesn't seem any sign of
this changing in the future given mcblair's political vacuity. Although most
of the unelected, hereditary peers have been kicked out of the house of lords,
mcblair allowed nearly 92 of them to stay on .. primarily to block any labour
party legislation he might be forced to adopt by disgruntled party activists.
In 1997, mcblair adopted the tories' two year spending plans; extended this
for a third year; and allowed hereditary tories to stay on in the house of lords
when he could easily have got rid of them. Mcblair carried out the biggest sabotage
of labour values throughout its entire life. So appalling was his sabotage of
his own political powers he could even be regarded as a traitor to decency. The Continuing Veto Exercised by the Landed Aristocracy over Democracy.
"Tony blair is to create
50 labour peers to put an end to embarrassing defeats in the lords at the hands
of the conservatives. The prime minister has run out of patience with the upper
house which has defied the government 10 times in four months. All but 92 hereditary
peers were expelled last november .. They still have 232 peers to labour's 182
.. (The conservative lords prevented the government's reform of clause 28).
"The government would have won but for the votes of hereditary peers."[15]; According
to lord strathclyde, leader of the opposition in the house of lords .. "the
house defeated mr blair 36 times in the 1999-2000 session."[16] The House of Commons.
Mps' Exemption from Prosecution for Corruption.
"Ministers are to scrap
the ancient westminster rules which put mps above the law by exempting them
from prosecution for corruption. Under laws established more than 300 years
ago to protect freedom of speech, mps cannot be taken to court for taking a
bribe or acting corruptly if they take the cash for doing something in parliament."[17] No Freedom of Information Act.
There is no freedom of information

rejected her appeals for a clause spelling out the legislation's purpose (the
Freedom of Information Bill)."[18] Corrupt MPs.

of it stuffed in envelopes. He denies the claim. He also told lies about a luxury
freebie at mr al fayed's ritz hotel in paris. The man at the heart of the tory
sleaze scandal said yesterday: "I could hire these conservative mps like hiring
taxis off a rank." Disgraced northern ireland minister tim smith resigned from
politics on wednesday after he admitted that he had been a paid al fayed "taxi".[19]
The Tory Party and Pharmers.
"People once described the
church of england as the conservative party at prayer'. Agriculture may
be described with some justification as the conservative party at work'.
For generations, the party's grandees have come mainly from the farming and
land-owning classes, and even those who are businessmen or professionals ten
to take up agriculture as hobby-farmers (some authors have said that as many
as 70% of conservative mps have commercial links with the food and farming industry."[20] Pharming MPs.
Michael Colvin.
"The bodies of millionaire
mp michael colvin and his wife nichola lay in the charred wreckage of their
country mansion last night. The couple died .. in an inferno which turned the
house into a blowtorch in the early hours. The £3 million house was so badly
damaged that parts will have to be demolished .. It is feared that dental records
may be the only way to identify the mp and his 62 year old wife. Detectives
dampened speculation that mr colvin was targeted by arsonists because of his
support for blood sports. He was chairman of the pro-hunting council for country
sports, former vice-chairman of the british field sports society, allowed his
land to be used by the fox hunt and bred pheasants and partridges for shooting
parties on his estate. .. on their 1000 acre estate .. tangley house in the
village of tangley, near andover .. One villager said, "Michael owns most of
the buildings around here, including the pub. Michael colvin was one of the
last tory "squires from the shires'. Educated at eton and sandhurst he served
in the grenadier guards. Then he settled into the life of a landowner with a
wife whose father, shipping magnate nicholas cayzer, was among britain's richest
men. In his 20 years in parliament mr colvin concentrated upon farming, defence
and field sports issues ... He repeatedly spoke up in the media for prince charles
And he sparked anger with a vitriolic attack on princess diana, blaming her
for the break-up of her marriage to the prince. In 1997 he was fined £1,000
with £14,000 costs for polluting a water supply by discharging 200,000 gallons
of waste from a slurry pit."[21] Tony Marlowe.

Tory Governments.
In the mid 1980s it was
estimated that in brutland every year over 170,000 people died of heart disease;
over 70,000 were afflicted by strokes; and over 10,000 people died of bowel
and colon cancers. The response to this carnage of the pharmer dominated tory
government was to dismiss it, "So far the government's reactions to the national
advisory committee on nutritional education and the committee on medical aspect
of food policy reports have been pitiful."[28] Far from wanting to combat this epidemic the
tory government went out of its way to make things worse. The government's reaction
.. "to the (e.c.) butter surplus was similarly irresponsible: the cut price
xmas butter scheme helped to offload some 40,000 tons of surplus - or, put more
bluntly, it encouraged people, especially the poor and old, whose diets are
in any case less than ideal, to harm their health."[29] BSE.
Richard southwood.
Richard lacey points out
that richard southwood has been honoured for making so many mistakes in his
bse report, "Following the publication of their report (southwood's report on
bse) sir richard southwood was promoted to vice chancellor at oxford, professor
m.a. epstein was knighted and sir john walton became lord walton."[30] Tory Government's Manipulation of Bse Scientists.
"Alan Dickinson, former
head of the Neuropathogenesis Unit in Edinburgh, told the inquiry in London
yesterday that the Ministry of Agriculture failed to consult the best-qualified
scientists and had wasted millions of pounds by entrusting research to inexperienced
people. Dr Dickinson said his decision to retire as director of the unit two
years early in September 1987 was prompted in large part by his despair at the
"research shambles" created by government policy. The last straw,
Dr Dickinson said, was the realisation that the Ministry of Agriculture was
determined to put the Central Veterinary Laboratory (CVL) in Weybridge, Surrey,
in charge of research into BSE. Scientists at his unit could have provided proof
of the nature of the disease within "a few days" - instead of the
year taken by the CVL - if they had been given brain tissue from the first suspect
cases, he claimed. Instead he was not told about BSE until nine months later."
[31] The Labour Government.
The Government's Subservience to the Pharming Industry.
The situation has not changed
fundamentally with the succession of the labour government in 1997. Far from
trying to restrict the consumption of meat and dairy produce, the labour government
continued to encourage people to consume this rubbish, "The average brit eats
three ounces of cooked red meat - beef, lamb, pork, beefburgers and sausages
- per day. The COMA panel (the committee on medical aspects of food and nutrition
policy) .. recommended people who ate five ounces a day should cut down. Then
professor philip james, architect of the new food standards agency, persuaded
ministers that the advice should be strengthened. He said the committee had
been railroaded by the meat industry. James suggested guidelines similar to
those from the world cancer research fund, which backs daily consumption of
less than three ounces."[32] Blocking Environmental Reforms.
"Downing Street has also
vetoed the possibility, again suggested by the unit's major report on the countryside
last year, of placing "environmental conditions" on more than £1 billion
worth of arable farm subsidies under the Common Agricultural Policy."[33] The Delays in the Formation of the Food Safety Agency.
In january 1998 it was announced,
"The Government will tomorrow publish a long-awaited White Paper on its proposals
for a Food Standards Agency, intended as an independent watchdog body monitoring
the production and processing of food all the way from plough to plate."[34]
Clearly the fact that the
"architect of the new food standards agency", professor philip james, tried
to .. "persuade ministers that the advice (on reducing the consumption of red
meat) should be strengthened" and that he claimed that .. "the committee had
been railroaded by the meat industry."[35] was enough
to make him highly suspected amongst the labour government's mincing spin doctors
and may have been an indication of the political trouble that would result from
setting up an independent agency. The government has shown decreasing interest
in the establishment of an independent food agency.
After the election of the
labour government blair gave jeff rooker the post of minister of food in the
maffia. With tessa jowell at health he created a group called the joint food
standards and safety group. Rooker stated that, "It is the embryo of the Food
Safety Agency."[36]
So far so good but, unfortunately, he soon came down with a nasty dose of maffia
corruption. Rooker argued that he didn't want the new agency to face the same
dilemmas as maff had done when it was responsible for representing both consumers
and producers so this meant preventing it from investigating certain activities
on pharms, "So we've left veterinary products and pesticides outside its remit,
although we've given the FSA long-stop powers that it can use if it thinks things
are not being done by the regulatory authorities to prevent food contamination."[37] It wasn't long before rumours started spreading that the independent
food agency would no longer cover the entire food chain from the pharm
to the plate' but would stop outside the pharmers' gate.
In january 1999, "Meanwhile
the Government will next week risk the wrath of the retail food lobby when it
publishes a draft bill on the new £100 million a year Food Standards Agency,
to be funded by a tax on 600,000 food shops and restaurants. Margaret Beckett,
Leader of the Commons, has confirmed that the draft bill will undergo a period
of consultation with interested parties of weeks, not months. The FSA has been
devised to raise standards and meet complaints that Maff is hopelessly torn
between its responsibilities to food producers and consumers. Maff has been
in conflict with the Department of Health over which will be the FSA's parent
ministry, but at a pre-Christmas cabinet committee meeting the tussle was resolved
in health's favour. But the bill is still not free of controversy after Mr Brown's
efforts to get the Treasury - not the industry - to bear the £100 million a
year cost of policing the food business failed. The Food and Drink Federation
lobby group has described the fee as a ``food poll tax'', which would be passed
on to customers in higher prices."[38] BSE.
Mcblair's Sacking of Jack Cunningham.
Blair appointed cunningham
as secretary of state for agriculture to push through the gatt reforms on agriculture
but rather surprisingly cunningham turned out to be far too much of a threat
to the interests of the Animal slaughter industry. He not only threatened to
reduce pharmers' dependency on welfare state benefits, he set up the bse enquiry
and banned bse-on-the-bone. But what really put the wind up pharmers was that,
"Jack addressed the annual meeting of the Soil Association, the first minister
to do so."[39] Conventional pharmers were horrified that cunningham
could give any credibility to a bunch of chemical-free hippy farmers.
The meat cleaver brigade
eventually had enough of cunningham and pressured blair to get rid of him. They
blamed him for triggering off illegal blockades of ports around the country
even though this had been due to the rising value of the pound. After the countryside
march labour's spin doctors began gloating about his departure to their friends
in the right wing press. Soon after the ruralites' demo, "Tony blair was forced
to defend the criminalization of T-bone steak lovers yesterday in an embarrassing
row with the church. He said the beef ban would stay, even after the bishop
of leicester condemned it as an attack on individual freedom on radio four.
The rt rev tom butler .. said the ban was as sensible as a "dinosaur-on-the-bone
ban". Increasing pressure on jack cunningham, widely tipped for the sack in
a cabinet reshuffle, mr hague twice challenged mr blair to back him - to no
avail."[40] A couple of months later there was another
article prompted by labour's spin doctors foretelling his departure, "Here is
a mystery. Why is it that when the Prime Minister in the commons last week was
asked to comment on labour's success in getting the european commission to recommend
lifting the ban on british beef, he made no mention of his agriculture minister
jack cunningham? Indeed, when encouraged directly by a labour backbencher to
give mr. cunningham credit, mr. blair still contrived to avoid doing so. A clue
to the above mystery may be found in mr. cunningham's hasty and ill-advised
decision to stop people eating beef on the bone. From all accounts it appears
this was a unilateral decree by the agriculture minister, which was not first
communicated to downing street. Now that the european commission has declared
in effect that british beef from younger cattle is BSE-free, it is surely time
to recognize jack boots' cunningham's ban on eating t-bone steaks for
the pointless, fatuous, dictatorial edict it is, and repeal it."[41] Cunningham was moved to a new position in september 1998. Blocking Measures to combat Bse in Sheep.
It was pointed out above
that what thatcher and major did to protect the beef industry, blair did for
the lamb industry. Blair's sacking of jack cunningham was an even greater act
of cowardice and servility to the vested interests of pharmers than the sacking
of edwina curry - after all, she was only a minister, cunningham was a secretary
of state. Opposition to Animal Rights
John robins of Animal Concern,
the animal rights group founded in 1876, has stated, "we are not allowed to
be a charity, as we are opposed to vivisection, and this means we cannot apply
for lottery grants."[42]
Financial (City) Fraud.
"The chief executive
of Britain's biggest investor, the Prudential Corporation, challenged the government
to regulate the City which he said was incapable of stamping out fraud."[43]; "The very nature of money laundering makes it hard to estimate
how much goes on but experts believe that drug trafficking alone accounts for
$500 billion worldwide. Most of that will go through London at least once in
the laundering process."[44]; "Accountants are helping to launder crime proceeds of £500
billion every year through the financial markets of the west. Sikka said, "Many
fraudsters could not get away with their crimes without the help of their accountants
and many of them are British."[45] also hints that a cabinet minister in one of
margaret thatcher's governments organized a cover-up of money laundering allegations
against a major accountancy practice. Police statistics show that last year
accountants gave far fewer tip-offs than bankers, lawyers and independent financial
advisers, even though accountants are usually the best placed to spot a fraud.
(Accountants) face prison sentences of up to five years for non-disclosure,
or 14 years if they are found guilty of aiding and abetting money laundering.
So far no one has yet been prosecuted."[46] Corporate Fraud.
Corporate fraud is in the
region of £5 billion. This compares with £125 million for theft, £20 million
for burglary, £17 million for robbery.[47] The frauds in the city - Guinness, BCCI, (and
to think that the bank of england controls, manages, and regulates, the economy);
Maxwell, Barlowe Clowes. Business Interests and Government.
Corporation Tax.
"At their peak, in
1984-5, oil revenues contributed £16.5 billion (at today's prices) to the Exchequer.
In 1992-3, thanks to falling oil prices and reduced demand, only £1.3 billion
was collected in corporation tax, petroleum revenue tax and royalties - less
than in 1979-80. In 1992, the income from petroleum revenue tax was negative.
The oil companies actually received more from the taxpayer in reliefs than they
handed over. If you add sales of public enterprises of local authority land
and property, the gross income since 1979 comes to more than £90 billion. This
is greater than total revenue from the North Sea (£71 billion)."[48] Mps Links with Business.
Detailed account of the
links between tory ministers and business.[49] Tarmac.
"Tarmac, which donated
more than £300,000 to the Conservative party in the past decade, stands to receive
nearly £250 million in cash and guarantees from ministers to take over the projects
division of the Property Services Agency."[50] The Alcohol Industry.
"According to Dr Horner,
11 government ministers had direct financial links with brewers and distillers
before taking office and a further 50 MPs had direct or indirect financial interests
in the drinks' trade."[51] Companies above the Law - No such thing as Corporate Manslaughter.
"Company bosses whose negligence
leads to fatal accidents will face corporate killing charges under new laws
proposed by jack straw, it was revealed last night. Firms could be hit with
massive fines and directors held responsible may be banned from the boardroom
for life. But the home secretary stopped short of pledging to jail guilty bosses."[52];
.. "the crown prosecution service spokeswoman said there was "insufficient evidence"
for a realistic prospect of conviction of either an individual or a rail company."
The cps decision comes as the public inquiry into the tragedy begins today.
Along with the 31 deaths, 250 people were injured when a thames train collided
with a morning rush hour great western express near paddington station last
october. Director of Public prosecution davod calvert-smith yesterday called
for a charge of "corporate killing" to be introduced. That would allow companies
to be held responsible for deaths of employees or customers, even if no individual
could be shown to be at fault."[53]
British transport police amassed 500,000 pages of evidence during its investigation
into the crash so there was not a lack of what would ordinarily be called evidence.
What the problem was that prevented a prosecution was a rather bizarre law which
holds that there has to be proof of a motive from people in a company. Since
it is virtually impossible to prove a motive for murder this means that nobody
is ever likely to be held responsible for the deaths they cause. This treatment
of company directors contrasts markedly with the treatment of suspected terrorists
in conspiracy trials where one judge indicated that a mere nod or a wink between
two people was enough evidence to convict them of being involved in a conspiracy.
The state uses conspiracy laws only to prosecute people it doesn't like.
