7. Fox Hunters Looking for Friends - the Vivisectors.7.1: The Commonality between Fox Hunters and Vivisectors.
Fox hunters are trying to widen their support in
a desperate effort to prevent the abolition of their unedifying spectacle. Many
hunters support vivisection. And yet even up to the present day, they have been
reluctant to appeal openly to vivisectors to join them in defending oomans’
right to inflict pointless torture and murder on Animals. Many vivisectors support
hunting and yet the last thing they want to do is to express their support for
Fox hunters because it would increase the number of people questioning the value
of their research. But, in reality, vivisectors are virtually bench top Fox
hunters. Such an exchange of support might be a good deal for both sides. After
all vivisectors would then be amongst friends who treat Animals in the same
way as they do. 7.2: The Divine Status of Doctors.
In brutland, up until the end of january 2001 anyone
who linked vivisectionists with Fox hunters would have been dismissed as a lunatic.
After all, the public regarded doctors/vivisectors as highly educated, highly
trained, highly professional, physicians who, impartially and objectively, searched
for the truth in order to cure the illnesses plaguing oomancruels.[19] Whilst the public held doctors/vivisectors
in high regard, it has never held Fox hunters in a similar way - despite their
aristocratic status. Since the second world war doctors have been educated and trained
in prestigious institutions and the elite of the profession have pursued glamorous
careers in prestigious hospitals, teaching institutions, or research institutes.
With the exponential growth in medical understanding, increasingly powerful
and sophisticated diagnostic technology, and the power of life and death over
their patients, many came to regard themselves almost as divine beings - thankfully
bus drivers haven’t drifted off the scale of ooman values in the same way. Over
the decades their self-image as semi-divine beings reached a pinnacle of imperiousness
which tolerated no criticisms whether from patients or from those outside the
medical profession. They enjoyed the reverence of the public so they had no
need to answer criticisms about what they were doing. And the public didn’t
expect them to take any notice of such criticisms. Politicians allowed them
to get away with such high-handedness firstly, because doctors were part of
a solidly organized trade union which went out of its way to protect its members’
interests and would rarely rule against its own members and, secondly, because
the public admired doctors far more than they did politicians. Politicians could
not risk openly challenging the medical elite. They knew all too well that if
there was a choice between a politician and a doctor, the public would always
choose the latter. One of the fallouts of the medical profession’s self divination
came in an oxford hospital, one of the most prestigious in its field around
the world. The two main surgeons spent so much time engaged in intense battles
for status within the hospital they had little time for operations. They repeatedly
cancelled emergency heart operations and messed up the lives of hundreds of
people. Nurses fled the hospital because they couldn’t put up with the vicious
political struggles. The efficiency and usefulness of the hospital plummeted.
Such status wars are doubtlessly common in medical institutions around the country.
What greater example of the hopelessness of the belief in ooman progress. Here
were two of the world’s most educated and highly trained individuals who had
the resources of a small kingdom at their disposal and they spent large parts
of their time tearing each other apart. 7.3: Doctors fall from Grace.
At the end of january 2001, however, the propaganda
of divine medical practitioners came crashing down to Earth. A report was published
into the medical profession’s practice of illegally removing organs from the
dead, “More than 100,000 hearts, lungs, brains and other organs are being held,
many of them taken from patients whose relatives have no idea they buried an
incomplete corpse, a report by the government’s chief medical officer, liam
donaldson, concluded. Doctors stripped body parts from patients, including the
head of an 11 year old boy, and preserved the bodies of stillborn babies, then
disposed of them as “clinical waste” in a way which donaldson said would shock
the public.”[20];
.. “it was revealed that a horrifying 105,000 organs, body parts, dead babies
and foetuses are currently being stored nationwide.”[21] The
whole country was shocked to discover the medical profession had been engaged
in a huge criminal racket stealing large numbers of organs from the deceased
- and in some extreme cases from patients as well. For generations the medical profession had been stealing from
the dead and deceiving their relatives on a massive scale. Many of the thefts
were carried out by pathologists during post-mortem examinations but surgeons
were also involved. What added to the distress felt by the relatives of the
victims of doctors’ criminal activities was that some of the stolen organs had
been disposed of as industrial rubbish. The medical profession had even been
selling organs to pharmaceutical companies. The media, of course, scapegoated
one doctor (who not surprisingly was a dirty rotten johnny foreigner) but the
practice was commonplace in many hospitals around the country. Ironically, the
more prestigious the hospitals, the more likely the doctors there were to have
been involved in theft and deception, “A total of 4,400 organs - all brains
- are kept by the oxford radcliffe hospitals trust. They are stored at the radcliffe
infirmary, which is nationally renowned for neuro-science, and used for teaching
or research into brain injuries, schizophrenia or new variant cjd. They were
removed at the john radcliffe hospital during post-mortem examinations ordered
by the coroner or carried out with relatives’ consent to determine the cause
of death. Oxford University medical school has 1,000 organs - the fifth highest
among the country’s medical schools. But mr highton said this collection had
not been added to since 1982, and most of the organs were removed during surgery
rather than during post-mortem examinations.”[22] The medical practice of stealing organs was known about by
virtually the entire profession because so many people were involved in aiding
and abetting these criminal activities. Nurses were needed to help extract the
organs from patients; technicians had to look after organ collections; administrators
provided the finance for the upkeep of these collections; and researchers wanted
to experiment on the organs. In other words, many participated in, or benefited
from, this practice and the whole of the medical profession kept this terrible
secret for decades - and probably far longer than that. The country was shocked to the core by what doctors had been
doing. The ‘voice of the mirror’ asked, “What concerns us is how such a horrible
scandal could have happened.”[23] Some of
the victims’ relatives called for the prosecution of doctors involved in these
crimes, “A family called today for the prosecution of oxford doctors who removed
their dead son’s brain and threw it away as medical waste. Paul and barbie clynes
spoke out after it was revealed that oxford hospitals had the second highest
number of human organs in storage. A total of 4,400 brains have been stored
over the past 30 years at the radcliffe infirmary for teaching and research.
Hospital officials accepted that many families would not have been aware that
brains had been removed from their loved ones.”[24] One provincial newspaper was aghast at the deception, “The
dictionary defines ‘trust’ as a firm belief in the reliability of people or
organizations to act responsibly towards others. Today, the oxford radcliffe
hospitals nhs trust stands unworthy of this word in its title. Revelations about
the storing of 4,400 brains for research purposes, removed from bodies over
a 30 year period and mostly without the permission of bereaved families, display
a degree of arrogance, conceit and callousness that beggars belief. What we
now demand is a new openness, total honesty and a fresh approach to the dignity
and feelings of others from our local health trusts.”[25]
Doctors’ claims to divine providence, which had led them to act with a high
handed imperiousness usually reserved for royalty, had rebounded upon them.
How the mighty have fallen. In future, it would be difficult for the medical
profession to continue pretending that it is unreservedly trustworthy, honest,
and truthful, let alone semi-divine. 7.4: The Medical Profession’s Less than Impeccable Medical
Record.
The organ theft scandal, however, is not just a
one off disaster in an otherwise impeccable medical record. The medical profession
has been in a state of corruption for years. It failed miserably to stop the
spread of bse. It did nothing to protest about the deceptions, lies, and misleading
statements made by politicians, the ministry of agriculture, fisheries, and
food (the maffia), veterinarians, and pharmers, that bse posed no risk to oomans.
In 1998, stephen dealler highlighted the fact that the medical profession had
written only one article about bse - as if it did not regard the disease as
an important public health issue, “One major article by Richard Johnson into
the Real and Theoretical threats to human health posed by the epidemic of bse
is particularly interesting in that only one other public health expert has
actually ever written on the subject (Will Patterson) and that was followed
by stony silence from his peers.”[26]
Whilst the brutish public has held the medical profession in
high esteem, around the world it has become a laughing stock, “The beef-eaters,
myself included, have been saved by our resistance - not by the government scientists,
the government vets, and the Department of Health, whose advice has been as
dangerously bad about BSE and CJD as it was over HIV, haemophilia and hepatitis
C. In a less dramatic way, their tardiness in supporting adequate screening
for high blood pressure, breast cancer, cervical cancer and prostatic cancer
has made these aspects of British medicine the object of the world’s derision.”[27] 7.5: Questioning the Vivisectors.
It is time the public stopped treating doctors as
gods whose every word could be trusted and started giving more consideration
to the views of those who have been critical of the medical profession. It is
also time the public stopped treating vivisectors as if they were just doctors
who treated Animals rather than oomans. The vivisection industry is responsible
for such serious disasters that the public ought to take more seriously those
who have been critical of vivisectors’ reliance on Animal experiments. There
is overwhelming evidence from the bse epidemic to show that Animal experiments
were used not to discover the truth about this disease and to stop its spread
amongst oomans but, on the contrary, were deliberately used to delay taking
vital measures to stop the spread of this disease. The maffia’s use of Animal
experiments as a time wasting device to prevent action being taken against the
pharming industry was exposed in late 2001 when it was forced to admit that
its scientists had spent five years experimenting on the wrong brains i.e. Cattle
brains rather than Sheep brains. The enormity of this travesty needs a little explanation. Bse
was discovered in Cattle in 1986 and almost immediately it was suspected that
the disease could spread to Sheep. However, the maffia had no intention of seeing
the Sheep industry collapse in the same way as the Cattle industry no matter
how serious the health threat so it firstly refused to carry out any experiments
and then, reluctantly, agreed to carry out Animal experiments which it knew
would take years to complete. The experiments were started in 1997 and were
due for completion in 2002-2003. In other words, nearly twenty years after the
first discovery of bse, the country’s leading scientists still had no idea whether
the country’s Sheep flocks were infected by the disease and how widespread the
disease was, “Professor david king, the government’s chief scientist, said,
“We want to know what the bse content, if any, is in sheep today, and we don’t
know that.”[28] What makes
the use of Animal experiments all the more shocking is that it only needed to
take a couple of hours to discover whether Sheep had the disease - all they
needed to do to was to take a sample of brain from an Animal killed in an abattoir
and put it under the microscope. There is no other reason for taking five years
over an experiment that could have been done in five minutes than protecting
the interests of the Sheep industry.[29] This
proves conclusively that Animal experiments are of use only in defending vested
interests and that, far from saving ooman lives, they increase ooman fatalities.
It would be a tragedy if the outcome of the stolen organs’
expose of doctors’ gross deceptions and misconduct is an increase in Animal
experiments. The doctors who have desecrated the dead, deceived the relatives
of the deceased, and abused the public’s trust, are the same people who believe
in the integrity of Animal experiments despite the fact that the history of
Animal experiments shows they are not merely worthless but have been used politically
to defend vested interests. In the past, many people may have been inclined
to support vivisectors because of their trust for the medical profession but
after the organ theft scandal the public should start doubting their trustworthiness
and reliability and, after the wrong brains’ experiment, they should start questioning
the validity of vivisection. It is time that people started treating vivisectors
with the same contempt they treat Fox hunters and their ilk. 7.6: Questioning the Vaccinators.
Media and political interest in the organ theft
scandal lasted only a couple of days. There is reason to believe that the government’s
spin doctors decided that the issue had been given enough airing and that the
matter should be dealt with privately between politicians and the medical profession.
The media duly complied. The issue has virtually disappeared as a public debate.
However, the scandal has had an effect on the public in so much as they are
much more sceptical about medical pronouncements as can be seen from the decline
in the take up of the mmr vaccine. The sacking of the doctor responsible for
raising the issue only served to increase public suspicions about the medical
authorities, “The consultant who first claimed the controversial mmr vaccine
could be linked to autism in children has resigned. Dr andrew wakefield had
been researching the theory that the measles virus from the triple vaccine could
cause bowel disease leading to autism. He agreed to stand down from the royal
free and university college medical school in london but said, “I have been
asked to go because my research results are unpopular.”[30] Addenda.1. Pharmers’ Extermination of Wildlife deemed ‘Pests’.
Around the world, pharmers are primarily responsible
for the sixth mass extermination of Wildlife that has ever happened on Earth.
This section gives a few examples of the mass slaughter of Wildlife carried
out by pharmers:- America: the Carolina Parakeet.
"The Carolina parakeet, a beautiful green, red
and yellow bird endemic to the south eastern united states was extinct by 1920,
exterminated by farmers because it ate fruit. Prairie dogs and pocket gophers,
two more examples of Animals killed by humans because of their lifestyles, have
been poisoned and trapped because their burrows weaken the ground on which unwary
Cattle graze, and if the Cattle step into the burrows, they may be crippled.
As a result of sharply decreased numbers of prairie dogs and pocket gophers,
the black-footed ferret, the natural predator of these animals, has not been
found in the wild in the united states since 1986."[31] Australia: the Marsupial Wolf.
"Until very recently in Australia there was
a marsupial wolf, the thylacine. This creature was a very efficient hunter.
It took to feeding on the newly introduced sheep and so was itself hunted and
eventually exterminated by farmers. The last identified one died in London zoo
in 1933."[32] Eton, Marlborough, Stowe, and Ampleforth.
“Eton college was condemned by outraged animal campaigners
last night over the scandal of its abandoned hunting beagles. Seventeen of the
dogs used by pupils to hunt hares were found covered in their own excrement
yesterday after not being fed or exercised for 36 hours. Pupils at the college
near windsor, berks, have been hunting hares with beagles since 1857. Dressed
in country tweeds for twice weekly hunts on tuesdays and saturdays, they follow
the hounds blowing horns. Each terrified hare is chased for between 45 minutes
and an hour. Most die of shock if not torn to pieces by the hounds. Eton is
one of four schools in the country to own a pack of hunting beagles. The others
are marlborough, stowe and ampleforth.”[33] Christchurch College and Trinity College.
“Christchurch college, oxford and cambridge’s trinity
college also run their own beagle hunts.”[34] The Royals.
The Barbarism at the Heart of the Royal Family.
The windsor’s are the country’s leading exponent
of blood sports. For them Fox hunting is not a natural activity but a royal
tradition, suffused with rituals, which originated, way back in antiquity, with
creation of the monarchy itself. Throughout the centuries the royals have regarded
hunting an essential part of their education because it helps to train them
for war. It not merely enables them to acquire warrior skills but helps to hone
up their nastiness and contempt for those they deem to be their subjects. If
the monarchy was going to rule it had to be tough enough to repress dissent.
Unless it was tough enough to slaughter Animals it would never be willing to
slaughter oomans and it would never survive. To the royals, hunting is a quasi
religious experience. It helps to attain royal nirvana - indifference to the
suffering of people and Animals. The windsors are renown for their strict adherence
to protocols, duty, and tradition - but this is just a veneer of respectability
covering up their serious bouts of outright callousness and their sadistic enjoyment
of maiming, mutilating, and murdering, Animals. [35] There is something perverted about people who adhere rigidly
to respectability and then go out and torture Animals. Charles windsor is bringing up his sons to be very religious,
“Prince william has developed a craving for shooting Animals which has shocked
his uncle prince andrew. The duke of york was walking his Dog in windsor great
park when he noticed there was little sign of Wildlife. When he raised the subject
with a park warden he was told, “That’s because your nephew has been down here,
sir. He’s killed everything in sight. The warden told him william had shot dozens
of Squirrels, Rabbits and Birds on several visits. One servant said, “Hunting
is his passion.” Wills has been using the private grounds of the park near the
royal lodge, the queen mother’s home. William recently killed his first Stag
during a visit to balmoral.”[36] Fox
hunting is the barbarism at the heart of the royal family. The Church of England.
"The Church of England's General Synod has
rejected a call to ban hunting and intensive farming on Church lands."[37] Max Hastings editor of the London Evening Standard.
The foot and mouth epidemic had been spreading for
a week and coincidentally parliament had arranged for a debate on the banning
of Fox hunting. The pharming industry and its rural allies were appalled that
parliament could be debating this issue whilst the countryside was in crisis.
There was great public sympathy for pharmers despite the fact that they’d been
responsible for creating another epidemic. The bipeds have been domesticated
to provide sympathy for pharmers when there is an epidemic rather than blame
them for causing yet another pharming disaster. Max hastings of the london evening
standard made the most of the issue because of his support for Fox hunting,
“The government deserves to be embarrassed by the coincidence that, even as
britain’s countryside faces it worst crisis for a generation from f&m disease,
the house of commons was yesterday debating labour’s proposed ban on fox hunting.
One of many objections to the fox hunting legislation is that labour politicians
are indulging their own urban and suburban prejudices at the expense of attacking
traditional rural life. (Traditional rural life means turning herbivores into
carnivores, turning Animals into cannibals; forcing them to eat their own shit;
whilst doping them up with illegal antibiotics - there’s more illegally drug
taking amongst pharmers than there is amongst young people at an all night rave).
Country people are outraged by the behaviour of a body politic which is unwilling
to do anything of substance to succour rural life, (besides the £6 billion a
year for bse and the £9 billion bill for f&m disease) whose sole contribution
to country life is to seek to ban fox hunting. (Besides the £6 billion a year
being given to a defunct industries which couldn’t even export any of its own
products if they weren’t subsidized up to the hilt). But it was a wretched business
yesterday afternoon, to hear impenitent labour mps baying for a fox hunting
ban regardless.”[38] It’s hard to credit that the evening standard
is a paper sold almost exclusively to urban people living in one of the world’s
greatest capital cities. Politicians.
Heseltine, Michael.
.. “Mr heseltine, who frequently hosts a hunt at
his country mansion at thenford near banbury and whose wife anne rides with
the bicester hunt ...”[39] Straw, Jack; Cook, Robin; & Mandelson, Peter.
“Home secretary jack straw has admitted he will
be backing the so-called middle way option .. It is also understood that both
robin cook and peter mandelson are to vote against outlawing hunting with dogs.”[40] Mcblair Prolongs the survival of Fox Hunting.
The first time the house of commons voted against
Fox hunting was in march 1995, “Yesterday the house of commons voted against
hunting for the first time in history. There was massive support for the bill
to ban fox hunting, stag-hunting, and hare-coursing as well as outlawing other
forms of cruelty to wild animals. It is the greatest victory to date in the
battle to end blood sports.”[41] In 1997, the labour government had been in power
for only a few months before its first capitulation over Fox hunting. Even its
own friends started referring to it as U-Labour, “A pledge to suspend licenses
for hunting on Forestry Commission land turned into a review and a promise to
end badger killing has been dropped. And the government has U-turned twice over
Animal experiments on behalf of the cosmetics industry. Before the election
Labour said it would provide all the parliamentary time needed for such a bill
to become law. After the election they changed their minds - which would effectively
kill the bill ..”[42]
A couple of weeks later, “Ministers sparked fury last night by approving fox
hunting on army land. They renewed licenses for the field sport on the ministry
of defence’s 500,000 acres after farmers threatened to disrupt exercises.”[43] Basically mcblair hoped the Fox hunting issue would just go
away after he’d been elected to office with the support of all those who
were taken in by his promise to banish such cruelty. He refused to give
government backing for a bill banning hunting on the grounds that it would
provoke the unelected, and undemocratic, house of lords to disrupt the
government’s legislative programme. The lie to this was that in 1998 the
government decided to give mps a massive summer break, one of the longest
in recent history, rather than allow them to use this time to ensure the
passage of a Fox hunting bill. Mcblair’s refusal to sponsor a Fox hunting
bill would have been the end of the issue during his first administration
if it hadn’t been for labour mp mike foster winning a parliamentary lottery.
The winner of the lottery is given the chance to promote a private members’
bill - and the topic he chose was a ban on Fox hunting. If it hadn’t been
for this luck of the draw then virtually nothing else would have been
said about Fox hunting during mcblair’s first administration. Not surprisingly, foster’s private members’ bill
eventually failed. The prime minister fled the country when given the opportunity
to vote on it. The government continually evaded having to take any action over
the bill, “A ban on fox hunting was kicked into the long grass by the government
last night. Home secretary jack straw said mps would be given a free vote on
a series of options. They are likely to range from no change to the favourite,
an outright ban. Yesterday’s announcement came after an inquiry by burns found
a ban could cost up to 8,000 jobs. Mr Straw said, “The government is, and remains,
neutral on the merits of whether hunting with hounds should be banned.” Labour
mp gordon prentice said he would now withdraw his threat to scupper the right
to roam bill by amending it to include fox hunting.”[44] Even after the government had supposedly reformed
the house of lords, it continued to evade a ban on hunting. The reform should
have meant the lords would be a much closer reflection of public opinion which
should have enabled a ban on Fox hunting to be passed. However, the reformed
house of lords is just as opposed to Fox hunting as it was during the days when
it was run by the aristocratic hereditary elite, “The house of lords last night
voted against a ban on fox hunting by 317 votes to 68.”[45] The work done by the Fox hunting brigade during
the foot and mouth epidemic is bound to ensure the survival of Fox hunting during
mcblair’s second administration, “Trained hunt staff have been called in by
the Ministry of Agriculture to slaughter livestock with foot and mouth disease
within a week of agriculture ministers voting to ban hunting. Hunt staff have
slaughtering skills and are licensed to use humane killers because of the service
routinely provided by hunt kennels to remove "fallen stock", farm
animals and horses that are wounded or elderly. This service, which took away
366,000 fallen stock in 1999, was estimated to save farmers £3.37 million a
year by the Burns inquiry on hunting. David Jones, the huntsman of the David
Davies hunt, which is based at Newtown, Powys, slaughtered 400 sheep and 70
cattle at Felindre, near Newtown, last Friday. Roy Savage, of the Teme Valley
Foxhounds, and David Morgan, of the Radnor and West Hereford, slaughtered 250
sheep at Newcastle on Clun over the weekend. Other licensed slaughtermen working
for hunt kennels, including George Hyatt of the South Devon, which includes
part of Dartmoor in its hunt country, have been put on standby by the State
Veterinary Service's regional control centres.”[46];
“Among those who have not been paid are hundreds of kennel slaughtermen provided
by the Master of Foxhounds Association to kill stock for £18 per hour. They
did the work in late March and early April, the association said yesterday.
The British Veterinary Association, which provided more than 1,000 temporary
veterinary inspectors at £250 per day, reported similar delays. In Cumbria,
Hugo Busby, a master of foxhounds for the Portman Hunt in Dorset, who has been
working as a slaughterman in Cumbria since April 2, said there had been complaints
among slaughtermen. "I think a lot of people were getting frustrated,"
he said. "The cheques for teams who were working here seven weeks ago have
only just started dribbling through. But they keep promising things are going
to get better.” Both the British Veterinary Association and The Master of Foxhounds
Association said they had made representations to Maff in an attempt to speed
up the payment process. "We have had some complaints," said George
Bowyer, of the MFHA. "But a lot of those were fuelled by rumours that there
was something sinister in the delays and Maff wasn't going to pay. We have been
reassured that they will. They are just overwhelmed by the paperwork at the
moment and are struggling to clear the backlog."”[47] Lefties.
Paul Routledge.
“People are more important than Animals, I fear.
If parliamentary time is limited (and it always is) what is more crucial - saving
the lives of our people and educating the next generation, or outlawing a sport
that is deeply-rooted in the traditions of the countryside. Those who put them
(elected labour mps) there to make britain a better place will not quickly forgive
them for preferring the fox to the people.”[48] Green Supporters of Fox Hunting.
Lovelock, James.
It is not known what lovelock’s views were about
Fox hunting before he moved to the countryside. Whilst his mother detested it
his father loved it. Lovelock was physically squeamish about inflicting pain
on Animals so it might have been logical to conclude he wouldn’t support such
a barbaric activity as Fox hunting. However, once he’d moved to the countryside
he overcame his natural revulsion and adopted his father’s attitude .. “a true
countryman, knew that the cruelties of hunting, perceived by city people who
knew nothing about it, was as nothing compared with the daily cruelty of farm
life. I am ambivalent about the hunt.”[49]
Usually people justify Fox hunting by arguing it is a part of nature and the
survival of the fittest but lovelock justifies it by comparing it with pharming.
It surely is pretty barmy to justify a little bit of violence (Fox hunting)
because it isn’t as bad as larger amounts of violence (towards slave Animals).
If he’d denounced the widespread violence that pharmers inflict on livestock
then condoning Fox hunting would have seemed much less morally unacceptable
but choosing to support Fox hunting by condoning pharmers’ violence is shocking.
He even denounced the tepid efforts made by the mcblair government to ban Fox
hunting, “In England, the hatred of the hunt is somewhat hypocritical, and its
emotional drive comes more from class war than from compassion for the fox.
As i write this, it astonishes me that the british parliament is wasting its
time voting for a bill to abolish hunting with dogs.”[50]
Page, Robin.
There are an increasing number of greens who support
Animal exploitation and Fox hunting. Robin page, one of the ecologists’ editors,
is a great supporter of Fox hunting - even though as he points out he does not
hunt himself. But then again he was also a great supporter of the pharmers’
fuel tax insurrection. Quite what he is doing in the green movement is difficult
to say. It has been pointed out above that, over the
last 15 centuries or so, aristocratic hunters/pharmers devastated the country’s
Wildlife to such an extent that today most of it consists of exotic species.
And yet according to page, it is hunters who have been helping to preserve the
country’s Wildlife and protect its environment! “The irony is that it is the
hunters and shooters who are managing the countryside in a practical and conservation-friendly
way. They are retaining and managing woodlands, grassland, wetland and hedgerows.
As a consequence, serious conservationists should be praising their work. Sadly,
myself and david bellamy are almost the only two who are prepared to put our
heads above the parapet of political correctness to say so.”[51]; “The exceptions
to this rule are in the areas where hunting, shooting and fishing take place,
and i write this as a conservationist who does not hunt, shoot or fish. Where
habitat is left for the fox and the pheasant, it also creates a wider range
of habitats for other forms of wildlife such as the otter, the barn owl and
the bee orchid.”[52] Page’s assumption is that hunters coolly and
dispassionately determine how many Animals they will hunt and then protect the
rest from being killed. This has never happened in the history of hunting. Hunting
has always been a blood bath in which hunters kill as many Animals as they can,
as quickly as possible, with not the slightest thought about species’ protection.
Hunters are puerile, red-necked, insensitive, thugs who are intellectually incapable
of limiting their hunting perversion. The complete bankruptcy of brutland’s
Biodiversity is a testimony to hunters’ barbarism. This country has virtually
no indigenous Wildlife because it has been eliminated by hunters and pharmers. Bellamy, David.
See comments made in the section on robin page. Puttnam, Lord David & Baroness Mallalieu, President of
the Countryside Alliance.
“Labour peers including film director david puttnam
last night threatened to wreck jack straw’s plans to ban fox-hunting. The home
secretary will next week give mps a free vote with the majority expected to
back a ban on hunting with hounds. This means the crucial battle will be fought
in the lords where a third of labour’s peers support hunting - enough to tip
the balance. They plan to hold up the bill so it runs out of time. Labour peer
baroness mallalieu, president of the countryside alliance, claimed the moves
would cost labour dear at the election. Mr straw yesterday received the burns
inquiry into the impact of a fox hunting ban.”[53] 4. Fox Hunt Opponents.
Princess Diana.
Diana had a warm, loving, and caring nature. She
was vehemently opposed to Fox hunting and didn’t want her sons corrupted by
such sick, perverted, activities, “Princess diana was firmly opposed to hunting
and all bloodsports. The hunt saboteurs association said, “Prince William’s
mother is probably turning in her grave. This shows the royals are stuck in
the dark ages.”[54] Richard Hall.
“Yesterday the house of commons voted against hunting
for the first time in history. There was massive support for the bill to ban
fox hunting, stag-hunting, and hare-coursing as well as outlawing other forms
of cruelty to wild animals. It is the greatest victory to date in the battle
to end blood sports. And it is one which i, as someone who grew up as a hunter
.. wholeheartedly welcome.”[55] 5. Other Blood Lust Activities.
Hare Coursing.
“A terrified hare is ripped to pieces by snarling
dogs in the sickening name of sport. To the callous thugs who bring their wives
and kids to britain’s killing fields, this appalling and illegal hare coursing
spectacle is family entertainment. They even bet huge sums of money - up to
£20,000 at each meet - on whether the packs of up to 20 lurcher dogs catch their
prey or the hares escape. Undercover investigators infiltrated the groups to
secretly film them and gather evidence. One investigator said, “This is no better
than dog fighting or cock fighting. The look of bloodlust on the faces of these
people as they release their dogs on hares is sickening. When it is caught the
hare squeals like a baby - it is heartbreaking.” The league against cruel sports
is appealing for readers to shop anyone they know who is taking part in the
brutality that is decimating britain’s hare population. Illegal hare-coursing
has become more widespread since the foot and mouth crisis which shut legal
countryside hunts.”[56] Deer Hunting.
Local farmers were so incensed about the
national trust’s decision to ban Deer hunting they went out and shot huge
numbers of Deer. Even roger scruton, a rather confused bseef-eating ideologue,
who supports a free market in everything except pharming, the monarchy,
and the house of lords, agreed, “Local farmers, deprived of the sport
that is the nub of their existence, began to shoot the deer - ostensibly
because they no longer had any reason to conserve them, and therefore
no means to offset the cost of the deer’s predations, but in reality as
much from anger and resentment at the unneighbourly treatment of which
they saw themselves to be victims. The effect on the Exmoor deer population
may be catastrophic ..”[57]
Deer Stalking.
“The moneyed classes’ enthusiasm for Deer stalking
is keeping vast tracts of scotland as an artificial, empty environment and preventing
its productive use by ordinary people. Hayden lorimer, from loughborough university
said, “Crofters had been cleared off by enclosures, and were replaced by huge
Sheep farms. Deer stalking was only introduced in the 19thc after the Sheep
farms went bankrupt. Landowners argued that the estates preserved scotland’s
natural heritage. Mr lorimer said that to prevent criticism of their occupation
of large estates kept empty just for Deer, the “lairdocracy” managed to propagate
a myth of their history and legitimacy.”[58] Greyhound Racing.
Virtually all of the greyhounds used on brutish race
tracks have been imported from ireland which churns them out like so much plastic
rubbish - used for a fleeting moment and then abandoned, “Over 30,000 greyhounds
are bred in ireland each year. The majority of greyhounds in this country are
irish bred Dogs. An estimated 10,000 will fail their first trials; most of these
will be killed as puppies. Another estimated 10,000 healthy greyhounds are put
to sleep each year at the owners’ request. Many more are shot, drowned or thrown
from moving vehicles .. (others end up in spain and/or vivisection laboratories).
Greyhounds race between 18 months and four years; after this they should have
at least another ten years of life ahead of them. It does not take much to work
out that the vast numbers bred and the short racing life leaves a huge surplus
of unwanted Dogs each year .. Greyhound racing is a sad and cruel sport.”[59] Grouse Shooting.
“Grouse shooting is the shooting of the Red Grouse
on upland areas such as the yorkshire moors, the yorkshire dales, etc. The beginning
of the annual slaughter is august 12th and during the season, which runs from
august to december, about 500,000 die. Birds that are not killed instantly crash
to the ground wounded by toxic lead shot, they then run and hide. The shooting
fraternity try to maximize the numbers of Red Grouse to increase the number
of hunters on shoots. The artificial densities often mean some of the Birds
are killed through the spread of parasitic infections and disease. The demand
for Grouse shooting is sometimes so intense that the Grouse have to be artificially
reared - in effect they could be released anywhere so that Grouse shooting events
could be held in any park around the country. Shooters often claim that Grouse
shooting is necessary in order to conserve moorland habitat. They argue the
moors would turn into wasteland if it wasn’t managed for shooting. In reality
the moors are a biological wasteland. The area was once woodland and contained
a wide range of species. The woodlands were chopped down and cleared by the
very same type of people claiming that Grouse shooting conserves the environment.
The Heather on which the Grouse feeds, is routinely burnt as the Grouse like
to eat the new shoots. The burning of Heather is of little benefit to the environment
as it suppresses the growth and diversity of native flora and fauna leaving
a very one dimensional habitat. Every Grouse shooting estate has gamekeepers, and
perhaps under keepers, who protect the Grouse by slaughtering its predators.
The list of species persecuted includes Fox, Stoat, Hedgehogs, Mink, Weasel,
Squirrel, Rat, Magpie, Crow, Rook, Jay, Jackdaw, and even protected species
such as Badger, Otter, Marten, and Wildcat. Although Birds of prey such
as the Hen Harrier, Marsh Harrier, Red Kite, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Golden
Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Osprey, Kestrel, Merlin, Hobby, Goshawk and all
species of Owl, are protected by law, their persecution is carried out
nationally by many of britain’s 5,000 keepers. Gamekeepers string the
victims together onto a gibbet line which is displayed in countryside
areas apparently because the rednecks believe urban folk like to see quaint
rural traditions.
Methods of killing these Animals include snaring,
trapping, shooting, and poisoning. While snaring is favoured for Foxes etc,
illegal poisons are by far the favourite for Birds of prey. A Rabbit carcass
is laid on the ground usually where it can be seen from the air and is laced
with poisons. This is what the countryside people and greens call living in
harmony with nature.”[60]; “It seems
to be an axiom of game ‘management’ that the natural predators of pheasant and
grouse must be killed in order that another predator, man, can slaughter greater
numbers of the prey, ritually, at a later date. Peregrine, buzzard, golden eagle
and other hawks and owls are still shot and poisoned on gaming estates, even
though they are protected by law. .. other ‘vermin’ which are killed for the
sake of the shoot: stoats, weasels, jays, magpies, crows, pigeons, rats, adders
..”[61] Shooters leave behind them in the countryside
tons of toxic lead, and non-biodegradable plastic, cartridges. These cartridges
pollte the environment. Fishing.
River fishing often requires the extermination of
Pike because they reduce the numbers of Fish which fisherfolk like to catch. Duck Hunting.
“Every year, europe’s hunters leave around 10,000
tonnes of lead shot lying on land or at the bottom of ponds. In 1991, 20% of
all diving ducks and 9% of dabbling ducks that were killed by hunters in europe
were found to have eaten lead shot. Veron thomas says a duck that eats eight
lead pellets will die within two weeks from lead poisoning.”[62] 6: The Animal Enslavement Industry turns the natural World
Inside Out.
This section has been taken from TF19. 6.1: Pharmers’ Delusions of Grandeur: Only Pharmers know
how to Look After the Countryside.
One of the commonest images of the brutish countryside
is contented looking slave Animals calmly grazing in lush, green pastureland
sprawling over rolling hillsides. To most people in brutland this is THE image
of nature, the epitome of a sustainable way of life. It’s almost as if the aesthetic
pleasure of such a scene is proof of the legitimacy of this natural order. What
could be greener than the pastureland used by the Animal slavery industry? Even
greens who should know better accept this vision of a green society. This image
has enabled pharm products especially milk, butter, and cheese, to be marketed
as a natural product (even though the production of milk requires dairy Cows
to be artificially inseminated throughout their lives to ensure constant lactation
which means many of their offspring have to be slaughtered because they are
surplus to requirements). The Animal slavery industry's advertising campaigns
need only add some gloss to this basic image to ensure the successful sale of
their products. The Animal slavery industry has been highly successful in covering
up its hideous realities by presenting itself as being based on nature and of
pharmers living in harmony with nature. The public has been prodded into thinking
of pharmers as ‘custodians of the countryside’ - especially when the media refuses
to interview non-carnivores and portrays them as weird, wacky, and/or terrorists.
Similar images are common in each country around the world and give rise to
similar beliefs - only pharmers can be entrusted with stewardship over the countryside.
6.2: The Reality.
The reality of modern Animal slavery is nothing like
this nauseating rustic disney fantasy. There is no other industry on Earth which
is more antagonistic to natural habitats, Wildlife, oomans, or the Earth. Let’s
put aside the historical fact that a few millenia ago, pharmers not merely enslaved
wild Animals, perverting their nature into ooman-made creations called live-stock
i.e. living assets owned by oomans like items of furniture. Even in the high
tech, modern, over-industrialized world, the european community still gives
Animals the same legal status as vegetables. The basis of modern pharming which,
no matter how much it seems a normal part of everyday life, is still slavery,
exploitation, and slaughter. Pharmers love to sentimentalize about their slave
Animals because they want the public to admire them for caring about Animals
rather than regarding them as the perpetrators of terrible barbarities against
defenceless Animals. However, when push comes to shove, especially during epidemics
amongst slave Animals, pharmers dispense with this sentimentalism and treat
Animals like lumps of meat - but, then again, as the bse-cjd epidemic has shown,
pharmers also treat oomans in exactly the same way. Modern pharming has the following characteristics:-
• pharmers have chopped down Forests and drained
Swamps, Marshes, Bogs etc, to create vast featureless, pasturelands bereft of
Wildlife. This transparently shows that pharmers are not living in harmony with
nature but devastating it. Pasturelands are little different from lawns and
there is little that is natural about a lawn. Vast portions of the Earth’s incredible
biodiversity have been transformed into a gigantic lawn for slave Animals; • pharmers invariably turn parts of their pharms
into mini rubbish dumps for their old cars, furniture, tractors, car tyres,
plastic rubbish, etc, which makes their pharms look like steptoe and son’s backyard; • they apply vast quantities of synthetic fertilisers
to their fields; • they dump vast quantities of raw sewage onto their
land. In brutland in february 1998, the public health laboratory service (phls)
warned, “The dumping of untreated human sewage and abattoir waste on britain’s
farmland poses a serious threat to health, experts warn. .. the phls warns that
such practices put people at risk from escerichia coli 0157 infection. Phls scientists
(say that) the deadly food poisoning bacterium and viruses such as hepatitis
A are present in effluent used to fertilize fields housing livestock or growing
vegetables. In the hope that most of the bacteria will die off, the sewage is
allowed to stand for up to three months before being used as agricultural fertiliser.
But pennington notes that no one knows how long the bacteria remain infective.
The chartered institute of environmental health is now demanding a ban on the
use of untreated abattoir waste on farms.”[63]
In august 1998 it was stated, “A report on sewage by britain’s royal commission
on environmental pollution in 1996, and the commons enquiry this year, both
.. called for all sludge used in agriculture to be pasteurized, which involves
heating at 70C for an hour. Sewage is a valuable resource. Oecd citizens excrete
enough to replace 8% of their current consumption of chemical fertiliser - which
is made using fossil fuel. Only by keeping faeces separate from the rest of
our waste can we realize its full potential.”[64]
As an example of how deadly the spraying of manure or mixed/organic pharming
can be it has been pointed out that, “In 1981, in canada, there was an outbreak
of listeriosis monocytogenes in which 41 people died. The infection was traced
back to cabbage grown on a nearby farm, “There they discovered that the cabbages
had been grown on a field which had previously been grazed by sheep and had,
therefore, been richly fertilized by sheep droppings.”[65] • some of vast quantities of ooman and live-stock
manure that pharmers sump onto their land, leeches through the soil and into
waterways producing toxic algal blooms; • they use the sawn-off shotguns of insecticides/pesticides/herbicides/fungicides
to decimate Wildlife which threatens their crops and thus their profitability; • they use wire snares to “catch a few rabbits for
the pot” which, unfortunately, also catches Foxes, Badgers, and even domestic
Animals which have wandered off the beaten track; • the Animal slavery industry forces slave Animals
to consume Animal material - in other words, it turns herbivores into carnivores
- most slave Animals are herbivores who are fed the recycled remains of other
Animals thereby turning them into carnivores; • the Animal slavery industry turns herbivores into
cannibals - slave Animals are fed the recycled remains of their own kind which
makes them cannibals .. "the practice of turning cows into cannibals. Many
of us were unaware that, as farmers now tell us, they have been doing it for
more than a hundred years."[66]; • the Animal slavery industry turns herbivores into
predators - slave Animals end up eating Animals who, in the natural world, would
prey upon them. Instead of predators stalking herbivores, the herbivores are
consuming their predators, “Cattle are no longer fed the remains of dead sheep,
dogs and cats, which have been banned because of the bse scare. But their feed,
according to a new book titled Fast Food Nation, can still contain the remains
of dead horses, pigs and poultry.[67]
It is as if pharmers have completely turned the natural world inside out; • the Animal slavery industry forces slave Animals
to consume their own waste; • oomans obtain milk from slave Animals by forcibly
inseminating them, forcibly removing their offspring after birth, and then forcibly
inseminating them again as soon as is physically possible. As a consequence,
dairy Cows spend their entire lives in a state of pregnancy.[68] Many of the offspring from these constant impregnations are
superfluous to requirements and are slaughtered - their sole job in life being
to force their mothers’ body to lactate;[69] • pharmers carry out on the spot abortions on some
of their Animals even though they have no veterinarian training and use no anaesthetics,
"The front legs of live lambs are being routinely cut off to protect the
lives of their more valuable mothers in difficult births. The illegal practice
.. more than 50,000 lambs will be killed in this way before the end of lambing."[70] • the wealthiest parts of the Animal slavery industry
slaughters Animals to maintain its disease free status even though the disease
might be a minor ailment. For example, the foot and mouth disease is a severe
dose of the flu but in most cases the Animals recover and yet these Animals
are slaughtered because the presence of the disease would undermine a country’s
disease free status. The reason that pampered, welfare benefit sponging, pharmers
are able to afford to slaughter their Animals and then replace them with disease
free Animals is because they are able to claim subsidies from the government
for the Animals they slaughter. In brutland during the spring 2001 foot and
mouth epidemic, over three million Animals were needlessly slaughtered for having
a common cold!!! Unfortunately, the availability of subsidies for slaughtering
diseased Animals creates a financial incentive for some pharmers either to infect
their own Animals with the disease or to find a way to imitate the symptoms
of the disease e.g. putting their Animals’ legs in boiling water to imitate
foot and mouth blisters. Just how extensive this practice was could be ascertained
from the fact that after slaughter the Animals were tested to confirm the disease,
but a high proportion of the Animals were found not to be infected, “Senior
vets have suggested as many as 30% of cases confirmed in the field have proved
negative in laboratory tests.”[71] • pharmers have bred monstrously sized Animals
which are so unnatural they can’t even stand on their own legs. Most Animals
in the Animal slavery industry are so ill, overweight, or stressed, they can
no longer reproduce naturally so a large part of the Animal slavery industry
can survive only by artificially inseminating slave Animals. In other words
they have to be inseminated by ooman hand. The Animal enslavement industry has a long tradition of revolting,
unnatural practices. There is nothing natural about it - as is all too obvious
from the huge aircraft hangers it has constructed in many parts of the countryside.
Traditional rural life means turning herbivores into carnivores/cannibals; forcing
slave Animals to eat their own shit; forcibly inseminating them; and doping
them up with illegal antibiotics - illegal drug taking amongst pharmers being
almost as rampant as drug taking at an all night rave. Giving the Animal enslavement
industry e.g. the maffia, control over the countryside is like giving the mafia
control over the bank of england.
