The university awards scholarships on the basis of
of academic merit of the student.Scholarships are also avail-
able to the students on competitive basis from the government
of Punjab,the government of Pakistan,private trusts,agencies.
Interest free loans are also made available by the Pakistan
government. Some of the major awards are as under.
On the basis of the results of the BA /B.Sc examination.
The University offers the three merit awards for the first 3
positions among the successful candidates in the BA & B.Sc.
The student of the university can apply for merit schol-
rship offered by the government of Punjab through the various
directorate of education.The candidate have to aply on a form
of prescribed by the directorate of education and the applic-
ation has to be submited through the chairman of the teaching
department concerned to the directorate of education.
The banking council of Pakistan offers to the university
for which the aplication need to be made through the chairman
of teaching department concerned .The rate of scholarship is
determined by the Banking Council.
The Pakistan Atomic energy Commission offers one schola-
rship each in the subject of Physics &Chemistry to a student
who has obtained first division in all the public examination
up to the B.Sc level.
The university grants a prescribed number of fee conces-
sions to each department .The chairman at his discretion ,may
change the full fee concession or a number there to half fee
concessions. Each full fee concessions is equivalent to two
half fee concessions.
The needy students of the university can avail themselves of the scheme of the government of Pakistan for obtaining the interest-free from the funds of the Banking Council which are especially instituted for the purpose.
