London Natural History Society
The LNHS has specialist groups studying different types of fauna and flora in and around London and they arrange evening meetings, outings and coach trips. The Ornithology section of their site includes a guide to birding locations in London.

Lee Valley Park
The River Lee Valley Country Park has a number of good birdwatching reserves within easy reach of Central London

London Wildlife Trust
The London Wildlife Trust runs many local nature reserves and is actively involved in local conservation initiatives.

Camley Street Natural Park
Camley Street Natural Park is London Wildlife Trust's reserve in the Kings Cross area.

Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust carries out research into the conservation of wildfowl and their habitats, actively conserves internationally rare wildfowl species and runs several nature reserves around the country,
including London Wetland Centre.

British Trust for Ornithology
Informative website of the BTO which promotes bird conservation through volunteer-based surveys and coordinates bird-ringing in the UK.

Royal Society for the Protection of Birds
The home page for the RSPB leads to lots of useful information about the work of the national organisation, current campaigns and opportunities for volunteers, plus:
- answers to "Frequently Asked Questions",
- information about RSPB reserves,
- links to those local members' groups that are on-line,
- links to the sites of many related organisations.

Birdguides
Birdguides includes an online reference and video library, news of UK rarities and a birdwatcher's directory though some of the information is only available to registered users or subscribers.

Birding Europe
A directory to birding websites around Europe though predominantly UK.

birding.uk.com
A directory of birding links for UK and Ireland.

BBC
The BBC, with its excellent nature programmes, provides informative webpages on birds and other wildlife.

Dave Hassell Photography
Dave Hassell gives talks to wildlife and photography groups in the South East.

The Fatbirder
Comprehensive birdwatchers' website linking birders worldwide and including information about birdwatching sites in and around London.

Local Events and Information

City Neighbours
City Neighbours is a community website for NW3 and NW6. It offers local groups like MBS a webpage and email facility. If you would like to receive MBS news by email please register with the MBS page on City Neighbours (Groups & clubs)

London Free List
This website advertises events in London which cost £3 or less. MBS indoor meetings now cost £4 but are still listed on the understanding people who show a print of the LondonFreelist entry will pay just £3.

Camden Connect
In addition to Camden Council information this website gives access to the CINDEX database of community information and the Camden Libraries' catalogue, information about Nature in Camden and a What's On listing which includes MBS and other wildlife events.
