VENUS'S HEALING PAGE
-EARTH SHAMANS PHILOSOPHY-
Venus's healing page attempts to included some of the basic forms of alternate healing, this includes shamanic healing, herbal healing, aromatherapy, reiki, crystal healing, and the use of auras and chakras. Venus acknowledges that this is not a complete list.
This form is healing is done by journeying to the beat of a drum or rattle to visit a teacher or power animal for guidance and instruction. Shamanic Healing takes place in many forms depending on what the spirits recommend. A divination journey is performed first to determine the course of action. During the journey a power animal retrieval, soul retrieval, or ritual may be returned as part of the journey. Or it may be recommended by the teacher that any or all of the above be performed in subsequent journeys.
Herbal healing has been a part of shamanic healing as journeying has been. The use of HERBS has been around for long before recorded history. When the shaman had to prowl the hills and forests, watching animals to see which herb worked best. Today it is as simple as going to your local health food store.
Aromatherapy is exactly what the word suggests: the use of AROMAS, or rather aromatic essences, as therapy, a way of healing, curing, and toning the body and mind. Aromatic essences are the heart and soul of the plants and herbs that give them their smell, their taste, their potency, and any medicinal properties they might contain.
Reiki is the laying on of hands. Shamans have used this technique long before it had a name. REIKI or the act of laying on of hands to comfort or heal is as old as instinct. This transference of energy to heal actually allows the healer to channel and increase hher/his own energy by tapping into the universal life force.
Crystals have been used in healing for so long, by so many different people and in so many traditions, that a huge and comples body of knowledge about CRYSTALS has emerged. One of the primary ways that crystals have helped humankind has been and is in the effort to heal. Because crystals are themselves whole, they want us and the world to be intergrated, fulfilled, healthy and whole. Unity, harmony and healing are their goals for themselves and others.
In using the aura to heal, you change the persons condition byvisualizing a healing color around them. Colors are chosen to work with sepfic conditions. The shaman would not only use the visualiztion himself but would work with the person themselves and getting them to visualize the desired color or AURA around them.
Chakras are the bodies energy centers. The shamans try to activate their CHAKRAS to to allow them greater visionary activity, while their body slip into a state of trnacelike relaxation. This allows for greater healing.
