What are chakras?

Interesting enough, we have within us a rainbow. These are spiritual colored wheels of energy, called chakras. There are 7 of them (Hindu ) or 5 (Buddhism). I tend to support the belief in seven. Seven is a spiritual number and there are 7 colors in the rainbow, so it fits better.

It is easy to remember their colors as we have a mnemonic, the rainbow. They start at the base of the spine with red and progress in colors of the rainbow up through the body to the top of our head ending in violet.

Chakras are wheels of energy affecting certain organs as well as emotions and are located just slightly off center and behind the spinal column. The wheel of energy varies in size and extends into and through our spinal column as well as on into the body. They can be energized, opened and enlarged or even closed and turned off. Some healers can see these wheels and the accompanying Aura and manipulate them to affect a healing. They look for tilted, cracked of weak ones. Note: the word chakra in Sanskrit means wheels.

1st. basal or root chakra: located at the base of the spine for men and between the ovaries in women. This is the only chakra that exhibits a gender difference. Affects instinct and understanding of the physical world. i.e. connects and grounds us to this earth . Some times called the survival chakra as we are connected to earth and physical in this mood. It is associated with adrenal gland, fight and flight chemistry, and its color is red.

2nd. sacral or spleen chakra: located just below the navel. Deals with the lower digestive system and sexuality and reproduction, associated with testes or ovaries. Affects sexual energy; it is the point from which we send out sexual energy and feelings. Also affects the emotions and creativity. It is the one that fear and negative thoughts effect. It gives us the ability called clairsentience, clearknowing, psychic and sensitive to other people and hence can sense danger from another. Its color is orange.

3rd. solar plexus chakra: located below the breast bone, some say just above the navel. as the saying, “I am contemplating my navel” refers to thinking & mind things. It is our psychic energy pump. Deals with intellect, stomach & upper digestive system, hence associated with pancreas. Fear affects this one too. In fear our stomach tightens up and we feel frightened and nervous,. this is the one being affected. Its color is yellow. 4th. heart chakra: located heart area, deals with emotions of sympathy, love affinity and compassion. It is the chakra of oneness, love of self, (need to learn to love self, before we can love others) love of others, love of like groups and just love of all and everything. It is associated with the thymus and its color is green.

5th. throat chakra: located throat area, at the base of the larynx. It is the chakra of communication. If you are burning to say something, your throat will tighten up can even result in a frog in the throat or just a sore throat. It is involved with creative expression. Affects the lungs and diaphragm. Its gland is the thyroid and its color is blue.

6th. the third eye chakra: located center of forehead just above eye level. Deals with intuition and the ability to visualize. Use of it is called clairvoyance (clear seeing) When out of balance or clogged, one may experience a headache. It also is the one we pick up telepathy. Often when we have a dull headache more like pressure rather than pain, others are thinking of us. (Right after a board post for help!) Its associated with pineal gland, its color is indigo, a deep blue purple color.

7th crown chakra: located at top of the head. This is the chakra of knowingness, or pure intuition. It deals with spiritual things of the higher self, the soul. Pure intuition or knowingness is when this one is fully open. We are I say, connected to our I AM or soul and it knows all. We have a clear channel to Cosmic energy, the Gods/Goddesses and knowledge. Its associated with the pituitary gland and its color is violet.

Note: Some authors say there are disputes over the colors, well here is where the dispute occurs, ‘some say the crown chakra should be white’. But to me the cosmic energy we call down into our crowns is the white healing light. Purple is the color denoting spirituality, the reason for the purple robes of religious leaders. So I tend to agree with those that say it is violet.

Opening the chakras, activating them and enlarging the wheels:

This is done through meditation and visualization of them. (See my grounding and meditation.) Which by the way is an advance technique, certainly not for the novice or one not spiritually attuned. I feel this form of grounding and meditation is related to the Alchemist magical VITRIOL, The word made up of the Alchemist adage in occult using Notaricon (the Alchemist term) an acronym or a form of cryptography, where each first letter of a saying is used to make up a word. [sort of a letter mnemonic] VITRIOL is taken from the alchemist adage, Vista Interiora Terrace Rectuficandoque Occultizim Lepidem. Which when translated reads: Visit the center of the earth and by rectifying you will discover the Hidden Stone. This is the acclaimed Philosophers Stone. Which is believed to heal all sickness, preserve youth eternally, and help the alchemist to change dross matter into gold. (Although when you reach this level of spirituality, you won’t want to or need to change things into gold.)

Use Of This Knowledge is called UOTK pronounced ‘youtuk’. I am pulling your leg, there is no such thing unless we just made it up using cryptography. UOTK means you took from the center of the earth. :-)

In my grounding and meditation, we do just that. We go to the center of the earth and rectify, by visualizing pulling energy from her. Thus, we discover the Philosophers Stone, or so it appears from the results we see and get, for we can heal ourselves and others by talking them through this meditation. We can reverse aging and wake up to an all knowingness state whereby we literally could make gold out of dross material, as well as create realities out of thin air, walk on water, heal instantly and while conscious, Astral travel and be seen and felt in another location as well as bring something back.

For healing after doing the grounding, rectifying and activation of chakras. One visualizes pulling down the white healing lights from above and have it focus on the area of concern. In some cases the healing process happens automatically as the Kundalini is activated. This occurs as the energy comes up from the earth. Also one can focus on areas that need healing as you pull up the Earth’s energy and effect a healing as well. For enlightening or succeeding with one or the other emotions or psychic abilities, one focuses on the appropriate chakra and VILOA, the white light heals that chakra. Ex: of proof it works. I talked some 5th graders through this form of meditation and when we came to the throat chakra, I said, “If you are having a throat problem, or speech problem focus the white light on that area.!” I had in mind a boy named Michael who had a stuttering problem. After the lesson I asked for comments of what they experienced. When Michael raised his hand and had a chance to speak, he did so without stuttering. Several of the girls jumped up shouting Michael didn’t stutter, he didn’t stutter!

Now we get into a DANGEROUS area. I am CAUTIONING you on this one.

Activating the KUNDALINI word from Hindu, translates as “She who is coiled”

The visual representation is in the form of a coiled snake. (now I know why I like snakes) This coiled snake of energy is located at the base of the spinal column where the base chakra is.

It lies dormant until your soul is ready for it to be activated. When activated one experiences miraculous changes that studies have linked with Node’s near death experiences.

Hindu philosophy tells us creative energy is bipolar, and there are two opposite genders; male and female they are. At the top of the head is Shiva male of pure consciousness or spiritual awakening. At the base is Shake, mother of the universe a creative primal energy of the universe. Then between these two are the chakras, or wheels of energy.

Through meditation, and some say it is more prone to happen after a long period of abstinence of sexual activity, one can awaken this serpent. Whence it moves upward through the body and through each chakra opening them and energizing them, awakening your crown chakra to its fullest potential You then are enlightened knowing all and seeing all. In Hindu it is called reaching or obtaining Somadhi..

Here lies the DANGER. !

This energy can be blocked by any stress or imbalance. In short, any unhealthiness will affect the chakras and as the serpent rises slowly upward opening and activating the chakras as it finds blockage it works on that chakra and area. It works on it, until the imbalance is dissolved. This causes real pain and can be great enough to harm you. Hence a healing takes place that is beyond just physical and it can hurt as well. It appears to act of its own volition, it is not something you visualize; it is spontaneous. It then spreads through out ones entire psychrophysicalogical connections or nervous system and effects a miraculous transformation.

This is the rectifying , as a purification takes place caused by the awakening of your Kundalini. At this stage your body can tolerate tremendous levels of energy and can emit same towards creative activities, healings. miracles if you will.

When one reaches this stage you are enlightened, I call it connected or aware of your soul the I Am within you. You have reached Samadhi, and with it its accompanying instant spiritual growth. You sense and now have advanced abilities of all-knowingness, clairvoyance, Clairaudience, healing energy and ability. Able to perform all the so called Miracles of old. Walk on water, materialize food out of thin air, teleport another self to a distant place while still active and relating with others and even bring back items from where you teleported off to.

In grounding oneself, you either take the Yogi position or if not flexible enough, sit comfortably with both feet planted firmly on the floor. It must be a position that is not too comfortable so you won’t tend to fall asleep. If you have been meditating you will know what works for you. The environment hopefully is quiet and there will be no interruptions. Get fully relaxed sitting in your comfortable position, with the palms of your hands facing up as they rest on your legs. Do the breathing of meditation think of one sound until you reach the trance zone.

Now visualize, a cord coming from the base of your tail as it were, sort of like an umbilical cord and it stretches out going down through the floor, visualize it going on down through the earth under the floor, if you meet rock, push it on through the rock and on and on right through the mantle of the earth and down into the hot magma of molten lava and down, down, down, until it reaches the very dense center of the Earth. Now you are grounded. (This is the go to the center of the earth of VITROL.)

Next comes the rectifying. Now visualize the energy of the earth as white hot fluid coming up your attachment cord and as it enters your body, it energizes your first chakra, the red one. Visualize a red wheel that begins to spin right about where your private parts are and as it does it gets larger in diameter. (If in the northern Hemisphere visualize it going, deosil or clockwise, if in the southern hemisphere visualize it going widdershins or counter clockwise.)

Now let the hot energy move on up to the 2nd chakra, a little further up, the orange one and as it does that chakra begins to spin an enlarge too. Next visualize it moving on up to your 3rd chakra which is yellow, just under your solarplexus it too spins and enlarges. Now on up to the 4th, the green heart chakra, it begins to spin and enlarge as the energy flows into it. On up now to the 5th throat chakra it is blue and it too spins and grows. On up to the 6th chakra, the 3rd eye chakra, it is the color of Indigo ( a deep dark blue purple), it too spins and enlarges. Now on up to the 7th and last chakra, the crown chakra, it is violet. Its’ wheel spins and enlarges too.

Now visualize a white, healing soothing, heavenly light coming down through you from above. This light flows on down, merges with the Earth’s energy and further energizes each chakra in reverse order, from the crown to the base chakra. The spinning keeps on going clockwise. You start this visualization with the purple crown chakra. Visualize the white healing light entering the top of your head and effecting the crown chakra. See it as fully energized and now fully opened to its powers. If this mediation was for solving problem that require intuition or any all knowing type skills, then you want to spend some time letting things happen here. If this is for your personal overall healing then proceed.

Next you visualize the white light coming down to the indigo or 3rd eye Chakra. If you desire to engage in divination, scrying, seeing into the future stuff, then spend some time here. Next, you visualize the white light entering the Blue throat Chakra. If you are having trouble speaking, communicating in any way, visualize the white light as healing this weakness. ( I might add here you do not need to be concerned as to how the light does the healing, just know it will.) Then follow this with visualizing the healing light entering the green heart Chakra. Here is where healing of relationships and emotions takes place. Next let the light move on down to the yellow Chakra, the solar plexus Chakra. Here is where you can overcome fears and contemplate and do mind things, clear our mind so to speak. Then the light moves on to the orange Chakra, the sacral Chakra. Here you can become psychic about others and your interactions about to occur with them. Finally then the healing light enters the red base or survival Chakra. Here is where we can solve survival problems. Your instincts of survival will be fully active. You will be able to know how to approach a court case, a lovers dispute, the bosses threats etc.

Setting up your secret garden and temple:

This is done after doing the grounding and healing as outlined above. You can now create places to go to, to conduct spiritual business. Later after doing this preliminary workup, you will be able to go to your special garden or temple instantly, as in astral travel, you just think of a place and you are there.

I want you to visualize a rainbow bubble a very large one. As it is coming towards you, you feel the warmth and vibrations as it approaches you sense the colors are in tune to your chakras as it radiates rainbow colors. You feel you are invited to step into the bubble and do so, pushing right through the thin shell. It is a neat sensation, you feel every cell activated as you pass through the wall of the bubble and into it. It is as if every one of your body cells has a consciousness and they are all fully awake now and this is why you feel so good. You have a sense of going home.

With you inside the bubble rises up and up and you are flying over the earth and on up into the clouds above and then it begins to drift downward and as it passes through the clouds you realize you have come to another place. (not earth.) As you gently descend to the ground the bubble begins to get thinner and thinner and then dissolves and you are HERE... In your garden. one your mind has always dreamt of., perhaps at some other time, in another life or in this one and you just never had any recall of it. There is a pathway that beckons you to walk on following where it takes you. As you do, you hear water gurgling ahead. You go around a curve in the pathway, and there is a gently brook, a water falls tumbling into a pool. You feel the desire to sit down here and contemplate. Then you notice all the flowers and smell their fragrance and the fragrance is like some titillating perfume, seems to soothe you and you get a slight heady but good feeling. it is so strong. (Now you can stay here and meditate and do work of all kinds. You can look into the pool, find a smooth spot and scry, looking for answers to questions in visions. Or you can go on from here to your secret Temple Any of the creative activities described in the temple can be done here if you prefer.)

OK, lets move on, you get up and continue on the path, around another bend you see a temple ahead, It is your favorite color, not intense, just pastel of the color you love. You approach and walk up the stairs leading into it. As you come up to where a door should be there doesn’t appear to be one. But you know you have the key to entering and as you approach the center panel it senses your presence and dematerializes to reveal an open archway. (You sense and know no others would have the key, no-one but you can cause the opening to appear.)

Inside you hear harp music and a gentle flute, the music soothes your mind and sort of mesmerizes you. You know you have been here before sometime some life or other. There is a marble table of your favorite color in the center of the room . On the table is a large leather cover ancient Book and an OLE feather pen for taking notes along side an ink well. There are 3 large chairs behind the table and you know more can be made available if need be. You step up onto the raised area the table and chairs are on and you take a seat in the center seat... Across the room on the wall is a large screen, sort of built in, like it is part of the wall , yet you sense and know it is a screen. On the table is a drink in a wine glass, it is blue and seems to shimmer as if alive. You are compelled to taste it. As you do it seems to slide down your throat as thick oil, yet it is soothing and you feel a burning warmth in your throat as it makes contact and you sense it is activating your mind and ever cell within you, it is making you more alive. You sense it could be a fountain of youth fluid.

Now you are impelled to set up your work place. You can imagine and have at your finger tips anything you can think of. A computer key board etc. A Pentagram, Incense and candles lit, a crystal ball for scrying or you also know you can use the large screen to see into the future visions of what is about to transpire in your life. The screen can also be used to see written answers to questions. a big YES or NO...or the numbers of years away an event is to take place.

At your right (or left if left handed) side appears a ball of light, this is your primary guide, this entity can be male or female. You may wish to see what he/she looks like and can request that they manifest in human form, you may also ask for a name to call them. On your left (or right if left handed) will appear another ball of light (The ball of light is the form we and they all have on the spiritual side, we can take on our physical form as they can take on a previous form they had one to please you.) The color of the light denotes their spiritual growth or maturity. Purple being the highest form, with the rest of the colors indigo, blue, green being lesser and white is common to all and usually denotes the lowest form.

Now you can have more guides than two they can be all female or all male or a mix, let them form for you as you ask “I WANT TO SEE ALL MY GUIDES AT THIS TIME.” These guides can be your Angels, your Gods/Goddesses, whatever you are comfortable with. You can have 22 of em each manifesting a Tarot card essence. (See Book ‘The Angels Within You”, by Randolph Price.)

Now these sights which you have created can be accessed any time instantly, usually better while relaxed, grounded and meditating. Depending on your mood you may wish to go to the garden, or if serious work needs to be done go to this temple sight. You can solve problems here, ask for solutions and get them. You can also consider it your learning temple and ask for lessons on Astral travel or dream solutions etc. You can find out ways to visit other sites of interest and go back into History, you can create doorways to special places, even open doors to past lives and see them unfold on the screen before you.

This is a way of going within to get answers from the spirit within you as well as make contact with your real spiritual guides.

To close a meditation of this sort, you may want to walk outside the temple and call for transportation. In this case the bubble will return and you again can enter it, fly up through the clouds and return to your meditation station, the bubble dissolves and you reenter your body. As you are flying back, ask for full recall of all you have just experience to last until you have time to write it all down. Always keep a journal on your adventures and the lessons learned.

If you went instantly to your garden or temple, you will return in like manner instantly.
