SERVICE:
No matter whether you have problems with your web presence, networking, hardware, software, operating procedures, or just getting to your data, I can address and resolve it, and leave you with a neat, clean, working system again. I don't stop if you have a software problem, or a problem with your operating procedures. I'll dive in and address it, including data recovery after a hard disk/fixed disk crash. And, I keep such complete documentation that I can usually support you over the phone for simple problems after the first service.
- One phone call to resolve anything - hardware, software, operating procedures, even your data - "headache relief".
I have training from manufactures and software publishers such as IBM, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Epson, Microsoft, Lotus, Word Perfect, and others. I also have many years experience successfully helping other customers with needs similar to yours.
- Professional, experienced technician - "guru for hire".
I want to see your Personal Computer system in operation with your people and everything else around it in your office. Repairs that are complex, requiring massive disassembly, long burn-in tests, or chemicals and solvents (usually for cleaning and maintenance), may require me to work on your Personal Computer in my lab in Virginia (VA, US).
- On site, with lab backup.
Like most of us, I prefer to work 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, if you have unusual business needs for after-hour or weekend service, I am flexible. I can work with you to schedule specific services at those times.
- Available normal business hours, PLUS 24 Hours a day by appointment.
PRICE:My labor rate, at $90 per hour, saves you about 1/3rd off compared to the industry peak rates of ~$135 per hour for on-site service.
- Labor at $90 per hour including travel and parking time in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.
I have no minimum charge, versus most servicers who charge a minimum of 2 hours for each service call. However, it takes time for a thorough service to be performed by a responsible and involved technician and insure that everything works properly. Yet, if you have a problem that responds to a simple solution, why pay for more than you need?
- No minimum charge.
I can help you in judging which equipment is appropriate for your needs. I make parts available to you at my cost, which is usually cheaper than if you purchased parts mail order. If you pay my labor to purchase and properly install any parts you purchase from me, American Personal Computing is responsible for the warranty and support services for those parts. I charge no "mark up" from my cost price. If you want parts without paying my labor to install those parts, then warranty and support services are available directly to you through the manufacturer. It's simple - if I provide the parts and labor, I am responsible for warranty support. If you provide either the parts or the labor, then you are responsible for those parts or labor.
- Parts available at cost.
PAYMENT:You pay me at the end of each day's work. This insures that you participate daily in managing to produce the results you need. This reduces the costs of maintaining expensive accounting procedures, allowing me to focus my energies on providing you with the best technical knowledge and experience in Personal Computer support.
- Cash on delivery for labor and parts.
I can advise you before purchase on the potential cost of any parts or equipment you need. Once I receive a full payment deposit from you, I will then go "shopping" for you for the most appropriate PC equipment at the best price for you.
- Deposit for parts orders.
After our first service, together we can negotiate customized pricing structures and payment terms, if you wish. At that time, we will both have enhanced experience and insight into our mutual needs and resources. Of course, your greatest flexibility is to call me when you need me, and pay at the time of each service. You will get high quality, responsive service because I know you will pay me promptly, as promptly as you demand my services! Or, together we may find that your service needs or payment resources are such that a daily rate or a monthly budget are more appropriate. I am willing and flexible.
