Geplante Institutsgründung zur Strategie der Zukunft:

Das geplante "ASH-INSTITUT" vorbereitet eine Strategie der "Lehre und Forschung" im Bereich: 1. Geschichts- & Friedensbewusstsein mit der Dokumentarfilme über Aceh Sumatra. 2. Vision von "Good Governance", "E-Gov", Autonomiereform & Politische Ordnung. 3. Agrarpolitik, Geoforschung, Ökonometrie, Marktlehre & Umsiedlung.

Neue Arbeitsschwerpunkte des Instituts sind: Ressourcenökonomie (Zusammenhänge zwischen Landbewirtschaaftung;Resourcenschutz und Umwelterhaltung); Agrarpolitik (Gestaltung vn Preis- und Strukturpolitiken im Transformationsprozeß; Agrarmarktlehre (Evolution agrarischer Vermarktungssystemme in ASEAN und EU); Agrarsoziologie ( Sozialer Wandel im Hinblick auf die Orrganisation der landwirtschaftlichen Arbeit wie auch auf das Leben im ländlichen Raum); Sozialgeschichte der Agrarentwicklung (Analyse der Geschicchte der Landwirtschaft und des Gartenbaues in Aceh Sumatra und ASEAN-Staaten; Aceh Sumatra Rohbewirtschaftung, der internationale Agrarrhandel und die globale Rettung des Regenwaldes und Küstengebietes.

Malikussaleh Airport for Logistic Supply

Lhokseumawe, Acehkita. There are many institutions and volunteer command centers outside Aceh that started to reject some aid in the form of supplies for the disaster victims, by the reasons of delivery difficulties, this post-tsunami. There are even many planes being forced to take a transit at Riau, Batam, and Medan either because the capacity of Sultan Iskandar Muda airport, Banda Aceh, or the difficulties to find a parking place at Polonia airport, Medan.

"Why take it so far, the Airport of Malikussaleh, at Lhokseumawe is still land able for Hercules type planes. That type of plane has often landed there," says Nazaruddin Ibrahim, SH, Executive Director of Yayasan Masyarakat Demokrasi Kerakyatan (Madika), to Acehkita Tuesday (11/1)

Nazaruddin concerns with the planes that has to land outside Aceh because they cannot find a space at Sultan Iskandar Muda airport. According to him, Malikussaleh airport can be optimized to channel the aid for the survivors.

With 1,800 long runway, the airport is adequate to be used as a logistics supply point before delivered by ground transport vehicle. "It is more practical and faster to reach the refugees compared to if we have to drop it outside Aceh."

So far, Malikussaleh airport has been landed every morning by commercial flight Jatayu Air that flies one route from Lhokseumawe - Medan. PT Arun, a liquid petroleum gas processing company at Lhokseumawe, Aceh, runs the airport.

Media Relation Officer PT Arun, Irwandar, says that they are very supportive to the idea of using Malikussaleh airport as a landing point for the aircraft that brought logistic supply for the refugees. The runway at this airport is sufficient for the purpose. But there are yet ideas to use this airport for such purpose. In fact, Malikussaleh is relatively not crowded," Irwandar said Tuesday

Meanwhile, PR of Norhtern Aceh Government, Azhari Hasan, SH, while being confirmed about that idea, says that the factor of storage area must also be considered. "The Malikussaleh airport has not yet any storage area. Besides, the question will be whether the other areas are likely to be able to transport the supply as soon as possible so it Will not stuck in the airport," Azhari said.
